Welcome to last November when all Survivors were nerfed with the Lighting changes.
Devs didn't care what we thought.
You sure? Cuz last time I checked they listened to that feedback, wasn’t that revealed to be caused by another slight engine upgrade? And they listened about legion as well. They even made pallet stuns easier AGAIN.

Because cookie cutter M1 Killers are super exciting and fun.
Hit the nail right on the head. +1.

While I agree his vault speed is a little slow, claiming this completely ruined Legion, even asking "Did you guys even play test him?" is passive aggressive and should be dismissed with how many straws you're trying to grasp.
If you don't want to worry about vaults, run Iridescent Button and Bamboozle.
If ya can't get IB, Enduring/Spirit Fury.
Add BBQ onto that and you got a pseudo meta build.
Didn’t realize heart to heart light hearted criticism was passive aggressive. You’re just choosing to be sensitive about it and take it that way. I already said I don’t mean to demean or belittle anyone, and that I love BHVR and DBD.

Actually, we all played it and we gave positive feedback.
There was a large part of the community that were grateful for the changes. Everything about Legion was awful, getting chased 'til death, getting tunneled, moonwalked, longer mending bar.
The most messed up thing about him was when your mending bar was depleted and you were still mending he would start a chase, stop the mend and drop to the dying state.
How broken af was that.
You don’t speak for anyone but yourself. YOU GAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK. Read the whole post and try again.

I'm sorry, did you say something? Really the only problem I had with original Legion (besides him ignoring just about everything survivors had to defend themselves) is he just destroys your Unbroken emblem while giving you little to no Evader in return. Much like hillbilly, it was waste of time versing him as he would just give nothing for emblems.
You better not be intentionally giving me attitude with that first sentence.

And legion has little to no means of downing you without exploits pre-nerf. Are you really going to reuse the whole “no counterplay” argument that’s been debunked time and time again? He’s meant to be a chaser like billy. If they don’t give enough emblem gains that doesn’t justify making a character unfun. That’s an issue an with the emblems and not legion.
billy wasn’t changed, so again your argument that legion didn’t give emblems is invalid because billy was left 100% in tact and untouched.
Keeping legion in this state doesn't solve your problem, he needs to be changed. Put your bias aside because your individual case of poor emblem earnings has nothing to do with legion being unfun to play.

First of all, that is NOT the original Ghostface . That is from the first Scary Movie film, which was a parody of Scream, thus is the reason for that design of the character. I'll take the ACTUAL original Ghostface over the ridiculous DBD version any day of the week. I apologize for the aggressive comment, but I suppose that's just my passion for the character and franchise talking. I'm just so tired of people mocking/trash talking Ghostface . For some odd reason, this community seems to have a lot of hate for him and the franchise .
Just an FYI, I know it’s from the parody. I’m injecting humor into the post.

How am I dissing the mask by asking you if you're okay with it? Like..what?
Saying that his medieval outfit has more flavor and character than his original outfit is an unpopular opinion coming from someone who obviously isn't a Scream fan. You even proved it by associating his robe to the Scary movie parody. So that just shows more about your sense of entitlement. His black robe is far more imposing that the one DBD gave him.
It does matter what you associate the costume with. His original was based on the "Father Death" outfit which symbolized fear even throughout the course of history. Think of it as the Grim Reaper in a way. There was no reason to take away that scare factor by giving him a new outfit.
So is that why DBD didn't give Freddy, Michael, Leatherface a new identity? We both know why. Cuz it's a disservice to the franchise and the same applies to Ghostface and Scream.
Sure, Scream may not have been as scary as Halloween or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But it still held on to that aspect of horror and Wes Craven original idea of a slasher. That's why it should've stayed true to the license. It held on to the suspense and the fear of the unknown.
Changing a black robe does not make a character any less sane and inhuman. Flawed logic.
“You’re not a scream fan because I said so” is basically what you just said lol. Push off dude. You don’t get to label me as anything, You just lost all credibility you held by saying something so inept and weak as a substitute for an intelligent laced with reasonable statements.
You literally criticized me for being ok with the mask but not the rest of the outfit. Now you’re not even understanding what you yourself said.
Changing his robe doesn’t make him any less human, that’s not at all what I said. I said his now unknown killer identity and lack of speech makes him more evil and the robe compliments this new aggressive change. Now he feels more like the grim reaper than some angsty weirdo obsessed with slasher movie trivia.
He’s got that silent sinister feel to him. It’s a good change. Your opinion hasn’t moved me and neither has your current childish behavior of labeling me. I suggest you move on because this isn’t getting anywhere.

Only thing that scared me in Dead Space 2. Otherwise I feel his look fits the game more though I can understand why Scream fans would be disappointed.
Not scream fans, DBD’s unpleasable fan base.

I make no sense, yet you're still okay with the mask and only have a problem with a simple black robe. LOL, okay sweetie. You're just delusional if you associate his black costume to his parody rather than to the original. It looks better than a medieval RPG game outfit that BHVR gave him.
Lol there is nothing wrong with a mask that looks like a distorted face. That’s unsettling. So you’re dissing his mask now and acknowledging that he just isn’t scary in his original form?
Medieval RPG has more flavor and character than a big black onesie,”sweetie” so drop your attitude or see yourself out.
it doesn’t matter what I associate his costume with. I’ve seen both the parody and the real deal, he’s just not intimidating enough, yeah he’s pretty brutal at times but he gets his ass kicked pretty bad quite a bit and it remove a lot of his threat at times and it humanizes him. Don’t get me wrong, his character is really lovable but there’s no true identity to him because multiple people are ghost face killers
DBD is giving him one identity and restoring that identity again.
Scream was was never true horror, it’s appeal was through self awareness and commentary on horror tropes and making fun of them. Yes it’s a good slasher film in it’s own right, but the fear factor has been drastically increased.
BHVR’s vision looks to make him someone who’s sanity and humanity is long gone, and that’s the DBD way.

So you automatically associate a simple black cloak to a comedy that has nothing to do with the original(Scream) other than being its parody? Righhhhht
You make no sense. That costume isn’t scary enough to maintain its grit in a comedic setting. An outfit is an important part of a killer. Parody or not if his design is so simple that you can be desensitized to them through a parody then there’s a problem.
He just wasn’t interesting enough to really stand out until now.
-
@TerminatorGuy said:
You do realize that's from the comedy Scary Movie, right? I'm sure you do. The Scream films are way different in terms of scare factor. Consider watching this scene from Scream 4 as an example. Pretty scary and suspenseful if you ask me.
Yeah. And it emphasizes my point. The costume is IDENTICAL and looks ridiculous.

They won't. The exit gates just need a minimum/maximum spawn distance
They really spawn way too close to eachother, that’s my only gripe. But this has been a long time issue.
-
Sounds like you’ve go to some get goodin to do because those exit gates don’t regress. Try getting to the hatch before he does, if he closes it, move between the gates and stay out of sight, eventually you’ll get one open and escape. It’s not hard. It’s intense, but it’s not crazy difficult.
-
You can always, I don’t know, try to open the gates and loop him around until you’ve got a wide enough opening? Hello?
-
Uh oh! Bait alert!

@Orion said:
If the killer couldn't close the hatch, it would just make the hatch a free escape for survivors once again.

I do use Shadowborn, maybe that’d help you.
Shadow born is such a useless perk because monitor and abuse exists. Even then, M&A does legion no good now. That’ll be for ghostface if he survives PTB.

Can't wait, after it's implemented, for Survivors to suggest: "Please disable Killer being able to point at you while you're on the hook."

Well if he isn't scary looking then why put him in the ######### game in the first place? This game won't ever be a horror game while Willy Wonka Ace and shirtless david is running about. This is why I'm against horror icons being added into dbd, because they become a joke to be mocked stupid kids who haven't watched a good horror film in their whole life.
Oh dear, struck a nerve have we? Calm down. What I’m trying to say is that a lot of people are pushing for a scarier DBD and I think ghost face’s new design will fit a lot a better into that vision.
Hopefully the devs will make it happen at some point, but the scare factor of Myers is why people like playing against him, especially when the killer is purposefully trying to be scary.
I’m sure they’ll add his original costume in alongside with the new ones.

As if dbd is actually a horror game.
used to be until survivor only players complained and took the threat out of the game so now the horror is killer sided.
Fantasy RPG ghost face actually looks intimidating, Dr. Evil Snuggy does not. We need horror back in the game and there’s no way way in hell that comeback will start with a onesie wearing ninja reject.
PS, don’t mock me like that, it’s not an intelligent argument and destroys your credibility.

I bet you’re fine with Legion’s hoodie and Michael’s stolen mechanic outfit (who btw is basically Ghostface’s inspiration look wise.)
And idk about you but the sole horror left in this game as a veteran player is seeing Michael seeing you. I personally can’t wait for Ghostface to be the second killer to watch out for like that.
I don’t care who or what ghost face was inspired by. Legion isn’t scary at all, but he looks intimidating, especially Joe. A jumpsuit is fine when you’ve got a lifeless, expressionless mask and stand at 6’5 and never speak. Ghost face is just some dude. Now he can actually be scary.
You’re grasping at straws here.
-
@pemberley ok, so you want to be chased around by a cheap costume? Do you realize how boring this game is without horror? Doesn’t matter if they’re mutually exclusive or not.
This dude is supposed to peek around corners at you. He’s supposed to be scary.
-
@Visionmaker said:
I think he needs a few more tweaks.
His new look is cool, but isn't scary enough. But his original onesie wouldn't look good ported to DBD nor would it be scary enough in the present.
Combine these two in terms of color and design (more rotting, wispy, and dark aspects) and I would be satisfied:
Ehhhhhhh nah.
-
My grandmother can scale a picket fence faster than legion can frenzy vault through a window.
-
@NurseMainBTW said:
I concur, his new look is amazing and the onesie in the original movie was just too "baggy" and I just didn't like it.
I’m so happy I’m not the only one with this opinion. We need this design in the game.

@Dreamnomad said:

@Mat_Sella said:
I'm glad the licencor's approved of the artistic direction Behaviour gave him, it's quite a creepy look for a not so creepy character
Exactly! People are so blinded by nostalgia that they don’t realize how ridiculous the original design looked. Ghost face was never actually meant to be scary. Those movies had quite a bit of comedy in them and never took themselves seriously.
-
@TerminatorGuy said:
He looks like a modded RPG character in that outfit, not the OG Ghostface we all know and love.
I watched quite a bit of the originals and honestly, this is what they should stick with, ghost face was a different person in every movie. This new look let’s us know that who it is this time, is nothing to mess with.
-
@Cymer said:
To be honest, it looks like Assassins Creed in dark with a Ghost Face Mask.
Looks a lot cooler than the original in my opinion. There’s absolutely nothing scary about an oversized blanket chasing you.
-
He looks badass. A onesie isn’t scary dude. They should keep this design.
