They said it’s an update, while Freddy is getting a rework, Legion is getting an update. But I fear the worst.

Slug them. It takes 4 minutes to bleed out and 2 for a hook to come back. If you run Deerstalker and Nurse's you can just leave them on the ground as bait.
I came across sabo squads like 10 times ever. It's annoying but if you just slug them and find someone else you will still get hooks.
The problem isn’t their frequency, it’s that it’s possible. The hooks come back in 2 minutes? Well they can just sabo them again while I’m chasing someone. Everyone is missing the point. Btw are you going to stream again?

And that's the games problem. But you sound like you care to much about pips.
I’m allowed to care about pips. There’s a rank system and it’s a competitive game.

you serious?
I am. Get to red ranks with the new pip system and you won’t believe how sweaty it is now compared to before.
PS, simple passive aggressive replies are annoying.

I've encountered exactly one Sabo squad and they were easy since they threw themselves in front of me to drop the hook. Also, wouldn't running Iron Grasp be better than running Hangman's Trick?
Also also, how does one encounter so many Sabo Squads that they run Hangman's trick on basically all their Killers? 😶
have you been a red rank killer since pipping got harder?

Slug them
Sabo has been nerfed twice. It really isn't that strong, nor common anymore.
and lose my pip for being forced to slug with no way to counter the current circumstances. I should never find myself in a situation where I am unable to get a survivor to a hook if I take the fastest route to said hook. Boil over and struggling are there for a reason.
Its only a problem when there’s no nearby hooks and I’m punished for slugging.

@TheBean said:
booo... sabo squads are funny.
Just bleed them out on the ground and go after someone else.. or camp them on the ground.. but that is kind of pointless sometimes if they all come up and pull them off the ground. But hey.. then there is no one on gens.. bonus!
I'd take in Franklin's Demise instead of Hangman's Trick. Survivors will get more pissed if you knock their crap out of their hand and someone else picks it up.
that’s all well and good but I am punished for slugging, not rewarded, therefore I am denied participation in my role as a killer by punks lol.
-
if you wear legacy you’re going to be focused pretty hard by the killer. Easy to see too, so I don’t think many people use it.

There are more than 2 chase themes, I think there are like 5 or 6.
No he’s right. There’s only two. If you count the slight variation of one of the chase themes then you have three.

Nea, she’s too reliant on pallets blocking in survivors to their doom.

@Master said:
So basically like the ultra rare trapper addon.
The real problem trapper has right now is that SWF can just easily communicate the trap placement and avoid or disarm the traps for each other. Thats his biggest problems (besides from no map pressure)
right but think, if they can’t be disarmed, the only way to avoid them is to memorize and crouch over them, which means if they forget about the mines during a chase then they’ll pay dearly for it. It would also completely irradicate loops and routes of the trappers choice.

Considering it's licensed paid DLC and half the reason anyone bought Ash, it'll be a long time til they touch it much. Just like DS.
They’re allowed to make balance changes, not cosmetic based changes. They designed the balance of the game, they own that, the created their own version. Pretty sure license owns the character and associated voice lines, and nothing gameplay related unless it’s a weapon with very specific properties that need to be respected.
-
From a gameplay standpoint, as a taser. From a realism standpoint? No idea. No map is so dark that it requires a flashlight.

I don’t understand why killers can’t place their own totems during the match.

they aren’t reworking him. They’re adjusting existing mechanics. It’s a legion update not a rework like Freddy.

He’s a whirlwind killer. You’re supposed to be brainlessly aggressive and wreck less. Switch targets constantly and what not.

This is an idea that was born from a very specific scenario involving a certain someone’s personal experience I’m guessing.

That’s like asking if a church cares about donations. Lol answer is pretty obvious.

Spray bottle: use on t-bagging survivors to get your point across.
-
Here’s a pro tip. Don’t use hexes.

@Peanits said:
While that would be very cool and would make for some awesome scares, it's also something you probably wouldn't want to do in an actual game. You would have to position yourself ahead of time and just hope that a survivor comes by. The entire time you're in that locker the survivors would be free to work on generators, so there's a good chance you would be sitting there for over a minute with generators popping off left and right just for a chance to get one hit.
which is why giving huntress frag grenades is the perfect solution.
-
The only way this would possibly work is if she could do her ambush attack from inside the locker and have twice the range. Even then it seems situational. Maybe if she could rig RBT’s inside the lockers that mount survivors when they enter.

Legions primary issue is his mostly non-existent skill gap. The difference between the best legion player and a noob legion player is that a good legion player has better killer fundumentals. And not some inherent skill with the power unlike Spirit, Nurse and even Billy
I agree 100%. I think my discipline (or self induced torture) of playing legion and pig without any perks has vastly improved my basic killer behavior and mannerisms to approaching different situations. This change may not help much at all. I would like to see legion be given a skill gap.

It doesn't make a positive difference in helping the legions winrate
That’s true, my experience overall does not reflect the different play styles and strategies of other players. Who am I to say they can’t play the way that makes them comfortable if they aren’t using the moonwalk exploit?
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Well for one if we are going to have the 5% thing then they will need to be instadowned from frenzy if they are hit by it while at 5%. Otherwise you will need further changes

If you're looking for a means of changing just moonwalking without addressing the core problems with Legions power, maybe instead of not bleeding out during a chase, you don't bleed out in the killers terror radius unless he actively hits you more with FF. Opens up some potential perk synergies with terror radius perks without having the built in moonwalk strategy.
There you go, that’s an idea that’ll help me come up with a better version. Thank you. I’m sorry you got frustrated, had some miscommunications.

Yeah I main legion too, but his entire power is contering loops with his feral frenzy, he can’t do it without his power.
Well then maybe we should take a step back and cancel the “5%” idea. Deep wounds recharge to 30% when mending when legion is within range and not facing the survivor.

You absolutely refuse to consider that your idea doesn't work so I'm done arguing with you. You're not here for a discussion, you're here to be told you're right and you're not gonna get anywhere like that. Making a 110% speed killer with no chase pressure will not help Legion.
I’m fine with being proven wrong. But what my post is aiming to accomplish is eliminating moonwalking. But you’ve provided next to nothing that can help the idea besides,”he needs a rework.” And “it doesn’t work.” As well as “irrelevant”.
You’re ignoring the core of my argument and instead saying it doesn’t work because it’s my experience. Surely I can’t be the only legion that actually gets downs without only using feral frenzy?
Sorry you feel that way. Didn’t mean to frustrate you.

The OP is actually the best stereotype and example for the pointless DC epidemic we currently have. DCing for no reason because you think the earth only rotates around you. Thus it's clear you don't wanna play the game, at least not by the rules, so simply play another and rather offline game or just stop playing video games.
Survivors have plenty of perks/tools against tunnelling and camping now and they still complain. Fkin hilarious. This game is not supposed to give you free points and wins every match, so dying and losing is always part of the experience. As long as those snowflakes don't understand that i think it's hopeless.
Btw, don't only blame survivors for that DC attitude, there are also enough killers who DC because they get no kills, no 4K or for whatever pointless reason.
I agree with this whole heartedly.

Irrelevant. Still doesn't make a difference between your version and the current version.
It does, you cannot moonwalk survivors.
-
@Mat_Sella said:
You cannot fault a killer for using their power, you wouldn't flame a Nurse for blinking, or a Trapper for using his traps. The issue isn't you getting stabbed over and over, because you get a speed boost every time, he gets stunned with every FF stab after the first, and it extends the chase.
If he’s fine then why do so many people have a problem with him? I’m generally trying to figure out why there’s such a large divide on this. He’s not even as bad to play against as people make him out to be.

Congratulations. Your personal experience does not negate the actuality that any good survivor can already run a skilled 115% killer for a while, and that for a 110% killer that's even easier for said survivor to do.
And your claim doesn’t negate my experience. You see how terrible your line of reasoning is? Why it’s getting on my nerves? There’s no fact in what you said, is it plausible? Yes. But by my experience (and yes there’s been quite a few reds on Xbox) it’s possible and doesn’t feel too tasking for me.
If a killer is getting looped, it’s because they’re just following in a circle and expecting to catch the survivor without trying to trick them into making a mistake. You control the chase. You move away, the survivor moves away, find someone else, wait for your opening and down them.
Yes looping is a flaw in the game that was accidental or whatever I’ve heard it a thousand times on a thousand different complaint posts, but it’s what we have to deal with and there are ways to deal with it.

Right, I'm sure you play all you games downing people just with basic attacks and not Feral Frenzy. Considering no survivors are even really IN red ranks this season, that sounds like a bold faced lie. Turning Legion into a 110% M1 killer with no time pressure does nothing to help him. You're more worried about your idea not working or not being than you are about Legion actually being in a good position.
I use frenzy to injure them, then I proceed to down them. Guess I’ve got to make that even more simple and clear.
-
I am tired of being patronized for playing a killer of my choice and want to lessen the toxicity somehow so am trying to find a compromise so I don’t have to clean my inbox out as often.
-
@ClogWench said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/413538#Comment_413538
Okay I'll make it as simple as I can: for a killer with 110% movement speed, chases are considerably harder. They're mitigated by said killers having abilities to let them quickly close a gap and hit their target. Huntress has range, spirit moves fast in phase walk, hag can teleport and Legion can down with Feral Frenzy. Removing Feral Frenzys ability to down takes the only offensive leverage Legion had to counterbalance his low speed. Thus he now has all the weaknesses associated with 110% speed and nothing to make up for it in a chase.
Well in my several hours of experience with legion, 110% movement speed chases aren’t that bad. They’re very possible and just require a little bit of creativity to counter looping.
Feral frenzy being used to end chases is something the community has a problem with. If he works, why haven’t people stopped looping and started hiding more?

No, I'm genuinely confused. It seems to me like you just listed a bunch of downsides the Legion has compared to the Plague. What were you trying to tell me with that?
plague can keep everyone from healing because she’s quick and has insane amounts of reach. Legion deals damage in bursts, and thus relies on survivors already being injured to make hitting the survivor at 110% movement speed more fair, as its a one hit down.
-
@ClogWench said:

You're just agreeing that Plague, who is already considered extremely weak, is better than your Legion change
She’s cheap. Legion in his current state, can be cheap. I want to be able to play legion, without milk duds for brains DC’ing when I want to play the game. It’s annoying. So I’d desperately like that to stop, so I can play.

I'm confused. These all sound like arguments against your idea being a good one.
wow, that is the worst response to reasoning I’ve ever heard. Nice opinion. Sorry you’re confused.
-
@RotBb “I don’t like it. It’s a change that will make legion from an average B tier killer to a D tier killer. This is because a survivor can hold their bar at 5% and then loop the legion, with no worries about their power to vault pallets and windows, because feral frenzy won’t hurt them anymore.” Is not very accurate because my experience with legion at high ranks has been positive. I’m able to down people and counter loops at 110%. THATS being ignored. That is annoying.

You're just getting defensive because your idea is being pointed out to not work as well as you felt it would. His power really does not work with core DbD mechanics, and he needs a total overhaul. Just a new power altogether. And it's it's not really worth it to make suggestions to that cause it's not gonna happen.
Not really. Next to no one has actually given reasoning as to WHY it won’t work. That’s my problem.
-
Woah. Good one. That’ll farm likes for sure.
-
@TAG said:

I don't play Legion and would not be able to come up with a good way to improve them. That does not mean that I am incapable of offering my opinion on the idea as is currently presented. All I am saying is that if people are saying that being unable to heal does not matter against Plague, what about the idea you've suggested would result it anything more effective?
The fact that legion can’t actually just emit constant long range damage with no cool down or stun of any kind. His camera sits a lot lower than plague, plague can see scratch marks and hear survivors while using her power, she doesn’t have to get close to do damage. She doesn’t move slower.
-
Alright I’m giving up on this thread. No progress is being made here. It’s annoying that people say “no... it won’t work..” but no one else is even trying to fix him with ideas or feedback of their own. It’s just “I hate legion” great how vague. I’m sure BHVR knows exactly how to fix that problem with such specific feedback like that. Especially with nothing to substitute or change my idea with. This community is truly impossible to please. There’s no winning. I should probably stop wasting my time.
