@TAG If a killer can end one game in 15 (with Q) that's mean that the killer can play 4 game per hour, if the survivor can end a game in 10 ( with Q) that;s mean they can play 6 6 games per hour. Let's say that the average BP for killer is 20-22K ( without BBQ) and survivors is 13-14Kthat's mean that the survivor only make 1-2 K less than the killer. So tell me is this so gif the diffrent so they devs need to give free points to the survivors ?

Im all for buffing survivor point gain and hopefully this will make survivor more desirable. Too bad this still doesnt solve the major issue about the survivor point distribution.
But survivors are aredy more desirable than killer.

Every time there is an event, my killer queues get insanely long, regardless of the release of a killer or survivor, due to the easily perceived effect that you can get a lot more BPs in the killer side. I'm still trying to understand why is this change bad on the killer side. Worst case scenario, survivor queues get longer and killer ones get shorter, which will still make it so that killers get more BPs per hour. @Tsulan mentioned the WGLF introduction. I believe I joined DbD after that, but wasn't the perk initially rewarding 200% extra bloodpoints, which would give an insane extra amount of BPs after a match?
Every time the change the matchmaking killers have longer Q and this happen way before the event even starts.
-
Do you have proof that the longer Q is because survivors don't play that's much?

you and the OP just sound like you're pouting about survivors finally getting BP gain on par with killers. doesn't really matter how reasonable you're trying to make it sound. threads like these really bring out the entitlement some people have to things that don't make much sense in the first place
if a survivor survives until the end of the match (and therefore exits at the same time the killer does) their BP gain will still be significantly less than the killer's if the killer performed decently
keep in mind that certain killers are veritable point machines while others struggle in some areas (looking at you, deviousness) whereas survivors get the same point spread across the board and have to effectively share points (if you don't manage to get any saves in a game because your teammates just rush hooks then your points at the end of the game are pretty minimal even if you escape)
people who tested the survivor vs killer point gain found different findings than what you're suggesting is the case
Look i will have no problem to give the survivors the same BP as the killers get but only if both get the same BP per game and per hour and with the same difficulty. The idea and logic to give one side BP passively over time because it exists is just bad.

This is categorically false. I've run this test several times over the last year. I play Trapper with BBQ and a 50% category boost for 2 hours each time. Then I play a survivor with all perks unlocked, and escape cake each match for 2 hours. Trapper gets 75% more BP in that time on average. The difference is insane. If I used padded traps and pudding, those numbers nearly double.
This is a great change and one that will help killer que times if done right. Furthermore, if survivors are farming BP, they will hit totems more due to higher value. Makes it better on the gen rush.
I have say that survivors and killers get the same BP per hour without the use of a perk or offering.
-
@visionmaker Ok let's me put in same way that you can understand as survivor you get most of the good perks free and you have to lvl less character as killer you have to lvl every single killer that you buy with money or play the game around 30-40+ hours ( for one killer) and don't forget that you have to spend more BP in order to have add-ons to use that's mean the killer need more BP. Before you say that the killer has BBQ that's better than WGLF the reason is that the one needs money to get it and the other not. Yes, the game is paid to win as killer you need to put money in order to have a chance as survivors you don't.
@miaasma The thing is most of the good killer perks have been 2-3 ( at best) time in the shrine and don't forget you have to wait until one day the perk you want to show up in the shrine if you don't want to put money on the game.And the reason this thread exists is that as survivor right now you can make the same amount of BP per hour ( without the use of BBQ ) and the problem is the logic that devs use " Well one survivor must make the amount of BP as a killer perk game" which means that the survivors can make more BP per hour. Now the problem is not the BP but how they treat killer and survivors ( survivors get a free mechanic that help them in the game and killer get perks that may help but you need to pay for them ).

Because the game would be pay to win, hello?
Two of the best Killers in the game are free. Money is irrelevant and has nothing to do with how strong a killer, survivor, or perk is. Otherwise, DBD would be pay to win garbage, and it isn't.
I am surprised that I have to explain this to you. Do you play the same game?
Tell me the about thoes free killer perks. Survivors get all 4 perks they need ( exept DS) free.
-
Can you tell me why something is free must be equal to something that needs money?

Without survivors, the game is dead.
Them getting less points mean it makes less sense to play as survivor during events or while getting points for new killers. Also survivor can be quite stressful if your team is full of potatoes. c: Or don't like team games with strangers.
Well if you want to say game will be dead with out survivors i will like you to think that if the game lost 400 survivors 100 killers will wait more but if 400 killers stop playing then 1600 survivors have to wait more.

It's your own source. Your thread is about BP gain, in case you didn't remember.
BBQC is the second top perk, in spite of being paid. WGLF does not even appear on the list, despite being free.
Or are you just trying to find something else to complain about?
The reason is killer doesn't have a good perk that works for everyone and you need to choose the more optimal.
-
Fun you chose this photo because what i see is 3 perks that killer don't have to buy and lvl the killer and zero buy perk for survivors
-
@Visionmaker said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/564811#Comment_564811
If we actually look at BP bonuses, most people don't run WGLF because it's a handicap, unlike BBQC.
Most people won't get 4 stacks of WGLF because you have to compete with other survivors to unhook, unlike BBQC, which you can easily get 4 stacks for just by playing a full game.
Killer BP gain is far more stable and straight forward. Survivor BP gain is dependent on your team and the killer, and a large portion of it is gated by survival points.
I'd like some hard proof because this hypothesizing and data is clearly weighted against survivor BP gains. If it's so easy to gain BP as survivor, then why are so many people still opting to play killer over survivor almost a month after the patch?
BBQ cost you 5 $ and you have to lvl the killer that you may never play. WGLF is free and you may have it as the main skin as survivor

One generally does not ask the other side to prove their argument for them in a debate. :P
This is the average time the game last for killer. So the's say a game last 13 min and you wait 2 min for the next one so a killer can play 4 game per hour. A survivors let's say die every time at 9 min and wait 1 min for the next game he can play 6 game per hour.

I feel like people tend to forget that a lot of people actually wait until the end of the game, especially when playing with their friends. Furthermorr, BBQ is way easier to stack than We're Gonna Live Forever.
in order to use as killer BBQ you hast to buy it with real money

If that was the case survivors would do all last 3 gens to 99% and then finish one to maximaze points. But that doesn't happen pretty much ever. I doubt that will become serious issue.
They don't have a reason until now
-
@Peanits said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/564669#Comment_564669
That will not be the case. The points only accumulate so far before they're capped. This happens in a reasonable amount of time. You'd also be better off escaping, taking your escape points and moving on to the next match anyway.
How you know that ? And who say you will not escape
1) 99% the last gen/s
2) if the killer kick them go and M1 for 1 sec
3) When you have the points you want or if the killer will kill your survivor just pop the gen and use the andrelalin
4) Escape
-
@Redd said:
They are scaling the survivor blood points up based on how long they are in a match. So they'll only get more BP if they don't die.
So survivors with this will 99% the last gen/s and wait to max points
-
@Rizzo said:
It will just make survivor more appealing as role, so, in theory, it would be harder to create a situation like the one we had in these past few weeks, where everyone was playing killer because more rewarding (bloodpoint-wise).
As a survivor, you can get the same point as the killer per hour because as a survivor you can go to the next game after you die. Survivors are a way to easy to play more relaxed.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/564593#Comment_564593
Each individual Survivor should have a reasonable opportunity to get about as many Bloodpoints as a Killer.
Again why they don't need them for items or add-ons and when you collect all the perks you done
-
@PolarBear said:
What logic? They want to bridge the gap between the 2 roles so they receive equal amounts of bloodpoints per match.
But the one side has 4 players and the other 1 and as the killer, you need more points by doing this they small % of killers the play for blood point will stop. As survivors is easy to "win" and have fun and now you get the same point as a killer even tho you are 1/4 of him ?

Mainly because the majority of the Forums and Reddit are Killer Mains.
The constant outcries from Killer Mains are ridiculous and honestly the only thing Devs should say is "Git Gud".
Every Killer change they make is a "RIP Killer, this game is trash, im quitting this game is way too survivor sided, wow gj devs another trash change" change for Killer Mains, and that's a fact. Y'all are never happy with anything the Devs do.
I legitimately think that the Killers here want a Killer that can down Survivors just by looking at them for 0.5 seconds and that's what they would call balance and a "threating" Killer.
I can see your point but most killers here can see if a killer will be good or not. Freedy will work the same way as clown and devs say that clown is the worst killer in the game. At the same time, devs create new mechanic for survivors but give new perk that maybe help you in the game for the killer. Lastly, for some reason, most survivors think it's fair to be able to 1v1 the killer when the game is 1v4.

Debuffs:
His terror radius becomes a lullaby. Lullaby provides less information than TR.
For every person asleep, he gets a 15% cooldown reduction on his generator teleport ability. That's up to 60% cooldown reduction if all 4 survivors are asleep. Having a killer being able to teleport to a generator every 20 seconds or so is a lot of map pressure potential you're just giving him for free.
Survivors in the dream realm will be susceptible to dream snares or dream pallets if he has the add-on for it. These cannot effect you while you are awake.
There is an add-on that effects survivor action speed when they are asleep. Not 50% like now of course, but a slow down in action speed nonetheless.
Seems like plenty of debuffs to me, with zero advantages to staying asleep. Just saying. I'm probably forgetting a thing or two, as well.
If they sleep you allow to use your power. This is very bad.

@Akuma said:
Dude that's crazy. Slowing actions and gens down by a max. of 24-28%. That's huge.
I do heal. But not myself and not if the killer is running Sloppy Butcher or the Killer itself isnt worth it to heal. And also I dont heal when the team wastes too much time on healing instead of doing their objective.
So healing once under cleansing a dull totem.
I mean I wouldnt have anything to make healing more exciting. Means it must be attractive enough to do that and if that#s the case more people heal = killer have more time doing their objectives. Like when they changed Selfcare in a PTB. with Items and other perks it was completely broken but it was an awesome idea and I would heal myself vor 20 seconds. Also healing others in 20 seconds.
Personally if that would be a thing I would run Selfcare again. Even if the devs change medkits and botany knowledge and how they interact.
Combine those ideas ^^
That 24-28 % will only work on gens and totems and if they killer use SB those are two perk slots that have to sacrifice in order to work.

@twistedmonkey said:
The non heal meta is a by product of the healing nerf, it's what people asked for one health state only through SC or healing others, now players do it it's a problem.
Be careful what you wish for as it doesn't always work out as intended.
Punishing someone for making a choice a lot of players asked for isn't the best idea and its another perk buff which would widen the gap between swf and solo as solo would suffer more as they can't meet up to heal as easy.
Thanatobia may be a better perk if was kept at the currrent stats but on top of that it also debuffed the use of perks which aid you when injured so there is no benefit to them at all.
Adding more gen time with a perk isn't really the answer we need as for one it becomes highly monotomous sitting pressing M1 for longer and secondly it removes the possibility of another true objective coming to the game as it would need looked at again if that happened.
How we can slow the game and try to have fun when the game end in 5-7 min.Second objective is out of the question, devs never create a good one.
-
@TRB124 said:

it's really sucks cause it can potentially be better than ruin in that it can be more consistent or hell i would take dead survivors adding to the effect at half the builld up like 6 to 3 if they die. Anything to better slow the game down so that 2 or 3 gens don't get done in one chase
But then the survivor will need to spend 1-4 min more in the game that can end in 5
-
@TKTK said:
6 or 7 would be great cause you'd get a better bonus on 2 injured where most killers can realistically get that aren't legion or plague. The solution to make it not so powerful is probably to cap out how much healing speed can be debuffed to like 25% or 30% so sloppy butcher doesn't totally break the healing speeds making it combine to over 40% negative healing speed or just not have it effect healing.
But even is this way the idea they could just say thanatophobia don't work on healing like a say in my post. They simply don't want to do it.
-
@TKTK said:
They buffed it in a ptb when old legion was a thing, didn't do it cause it'd make old legion more annoying and proceeded to nerf it to what it is now. IDK why they haven't revisited it yet.
Yes i know they test the 6 % then they try 4 % and say well that a good nerf let's keep it that way.

Let's look what happens on the other side.
- survs cry about camping= bt comes
- survs cry about tunneling= DS comes
- survs cry about enduring= enduring nerf...
This is kinda...
Don't forget the meta right now is no heal so of course, the devs have to nerf thanatophobia

Last night I had a round got sandbagged by a David (admittedly thats a different matter) downed by GF facecamped til death got all of 1k points and had played a gateux. I get that its a game and the killers job is to kill but all that is happening and I am seeing it all the time now is ppl Dcing in game as soon as downed cos they are convinced they will be camped or if rescued tunnelled at once.
I play both sides about 50-50 and since the de rank limit of 15 has gone there are loads of P3 survivors with all T3 purple perks bullying less skilled players or new players.
Never mind the match making too, why the hell should a rank 13 killer face 4 rank 1? its broken and I am not the only one at th end of my tether.
Tunneling, slugging Camping (at end of round to defend the sacrifice I get but making the game no fun for someone right from the start? Just bad form. Its a game, its supposed to be fun, whats fun about being dead 3 mins into a game after waiting for 15 mins to even get a lobby?
The same can be told for the gen rush how is fun for the killer to wait for 10/15/20 minute for him to play a game that lasts 5-6 min, how is fun for the killer when the survivors can take away his/her power and force them to follow the survivors from loop to loop. You can say " yes if you have a problem with gen rush and looping just put the X perk and you will be ok " but this is not true every single good killer perk have a lot of counterplay that weakness so the survivors can play around it without the need of specific perk. In the other hand survivors, perks don't have this and many time force killer to play with the X perk just in case they can have fun. How that fun?

And before you say just go to another survivor if you do this you don't change the pressure in the game, the map still has a lot of pallets, you don't know if the other survivors will be the same or worst and most likely you as the killer you will waste a lot of time.

Why is facecamping in your opinion unfair and "normal camping" fair? What is even your definition of fairness?
First the counterplay you can win a camper but not a face camper ( especial a doc face camper). Second, you can call camping when the killer hooks you between 3 gens.
So in the end fairness is the number or counterplay for me, for you?
-
@Warlock_2020 said:
@darkgghost Looping is the only thing survivors have once seen by the killer. Looping is dumb, but it has nothing to do with fair. If you want to talk about unfair things vs killers, then talk about coordinated SWFs that harass the killer throughout the game. That is more like it. But, by your standards, that's fair and legit.
Seriously, don't confuse a legit game mechanic, with fair. It is a very weak argument and one that comes from a pretty boorish mindset.
First SWF needs a lot of nerfing in order to be balanced. Second, no one has a problem with one loop the problem comes when there are 2 or 3 loops so close that the survivors can run there and have no danger.

guess i am wrong because i said something that isnt killer friendlyThis i will call it face camp so it's not fair by my rule book. And why camping, tunneling, and slugging is not fair. I could say looping is not fair either.

@DarkGGhost I disagree with that part. Face camp and mori spam are also fair and countereable (the rest of the sirvivors should do generators)
The reason i say face camp and mori spam is not fair is that they don't have counterplay. Tunneling learns loops, use ds ( even tho i hate those things). Camping uses BT and doesn't rush hooks. Slugging use unbreakable.
