Agreed with all of the above. #FixLegion

I can confirm that you can unstuck a killer by letting him grab you. Happened to me some time ago and we did it to unstuck the killer out of respect for him and so he could get some points as well.

Good idea. Me gusta

I quit the game in cycles. Right now, I'm in a off cycle so I'm not actively playing, but I still watch content and theory craft. I'll be honest I'm a better theorist than player, but when I cycle back on I'm going to try and push back to red ranks again. I just never have the energy to way so long between games. The wait time and dealing with bad rng on survivors lately is what takes me out of it.
I relate with this a lot.
-
I would say that most killers just need QoL changes. My first bet would be Legion, due to a useless power. Second, it would be trapper. Both Freddy and Hag seem to beat him now. Then, LF to make his chainsaw better than Billy at chasong down survs.
-
I don't think a description is needed, but all of the above.
#FixLegion

I just wish all of these Legion posts actually reach the devs. It is impossible to not see how bad Legion is.
-
#FixLegion, make it fun to play as as well.
-
I couldn't agree more. To be able to finally hear sounds while playing was amazing.

The hatch is meant to give a fair chance to survivors. Otherwise, it would be pointless to even try and play after a certain point.
I don't agree with the way the survivor played, but it is his decision to play the way he wants, just like a killer can be toxic.

@Redd said:
I wouldn't say it makes them good; but Save The Best For Last and Hex: The Third Seal are probably best on Legion.
@Redd Even though it won:t make Legion good at all, nor will these perks improve him above any other killer, you answered my question with a different and possible perspective and I appreciate that. I'm really curious to know what makes some people think that Legion is fine as it is.

Legion is fine - Deep Wound is the issue...
@Raccoon Just as I previously asked, I must be missing something important about it, but could you elaborate what is Legion good for? I really cannot think of a single build that is not better on another killer, nor a situation where its power is determinant to victory.

Legion isn't as bad as people are making them out to be.
Could you care to elaborate? I cannot think of a single build to make on it that will not work better on another killer, nor a playstyle where its power is determinant to victory.@fluffymareep

Simple yet effective idea. I like it. The bloodpoint cost is too high as in the true cost of the final add-on seems to be too high. Given how big the grind is, I would like this idea with smaller costs so it doesnt add to this game's grind and instead complements what a killer already has to go througg.

Feral Frenzy at default:
- Only lets you gain 4 meters on the survivor over base killer speed when in the open for the duration. You are essentially 4 meters closer to them than if you had chased them manually for the 10 second duration. This does not include any chase where you get looped or have to vault, in which case you will gain less than that extra 4 meters.
- Leaves you completely vulnerable to pallet drops and only helps versus pallets that are already dropped that you haven't broken.
- Only cuts a little over a third off of your window vault by default.
- Comes with a bunch of ways to get knocked out of your power.
- Has a cooldown twice as long as its duration.
- Has little to no benefit in a chase for downing a survivor once the survivor is injured.
- Has a 4 second stun built in to let survivors gain back most if not all the ground you gained on them.
The upside is that it's easier to find and injure anyone without Sprint Burst.
We already have a killer that does that at High ranks. It's called the Plague. Her power (effectively) is that survivors are broken for the entire trial; and she is also a vanilla M1 killer for that second hit. She's not considered good. Legion is a bad Plague. That is not a good state to be in.
Legion is a bad wraith, plague, you name it. Legion does not excel on anything but on getting weird red marks appearing in his screen so he knows there are survivors out there that he cannot reach.

GF and Legion it seems.

Maps can't be either large (e.g., coldwind) nor small (e.g. Game) in order for there to be no bias towards one side.

I am afraid mate that's incorrect, you are pontifying on a topic you clearly have not mastered and when asked for evidence you sneak away
The dude just shared his opinion and concluded that some changes to Legion were in order. Relax everyone and focus your prayers towards Legion.

You basically can use it on demand. Not fun to face, but certainly not as bad as the wake up bug
Finally, someone explains what is wrong with it xD Thank you!
-
So much this. Increase diversity of things! :D
-
I actually also thought of this today. Wraith also has add-ons that can significantly increase his movement speed while cloaked. I was on a break when Legion was changed but despite fixing the moonwalk stupid tactic, I have no idea how these changes came to be. At least compare vaulting speed to Myers and FF speed to other killers during their power. While at it, also compare the drawbacks.

Add-ons need to be changed FOR SURE but i think that would be better after the killer itself got changed.
Regardless of the killer being changed, at least these add-ons would make it possible to do some fun builds with him, unlike the current ones.

I agree. It's terrible and considering the time we've been waiting for, it really shows that these devs have no idea about how the game is. But it's not a downgrade. He goes from terribly bad to bad. I still think he'll be the worst killer in the game tho.
Even considering Legion is around?

He also has some of the best cosmetics in the game which I gladly would spend money on if the actual killer himself wasn't bottom tier and just stressful to play as.
The storm will indeed never end just because too many people care about this fantastic idea of a killer (what Legion should have been) and will keep on sharing their frustration in here.
Keep it up fellow killers, one day we might get BHVR's attention on this. #fixlegion
Indeed. His concept is quite attractive and the cosmetics reflect that pretty well. I really wish his gameplay would as well.

It's pretty telling to claim there's evidence for something and push the burden of proof onto someone else. Why even bother when you're not contributing?
Also, for the OP, since apparently Peanits' first post wasn't enough: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/538121#Comment_538121
And Steam data right now:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/233/4Z3J37HIZODG.png
How close is that to a 1:4 ratio? You can wind up a survivor queue on your own too. Time how fast it is to get into and start a lobby as survivor vs killer.
First of all, thank you for the information. Secondly, how does one get this info from Steam? I've seen people showing similar things but I have no idea how you extract it. @Visionmaker

Would have been nice if they would have finaly mentioned the Legion, after all the countless pages in this forums, but I guess they still hope that the storm goes over.
It will never be over, since Legion is filling an unnecessary slot on the killers roster for existing with his sad power. Sad part is also that Legion is one of their most charismatic characters as well. I've found several Legions in Japan Expo in Paris! They look awesome of course.

I just don't like how they use the 'walking on hollow metal' sound effects no matter what you're walking on now.
Used to be that they had different sound effects for what you're walking on. I assume it's a bug? But it's been a thing for SO long now...

Actually no, the reason I feel this way is because on average survivors will most likely earn more than killers with these changes which I don't necessarily mind but in turn that will increase the amount of items they can stockpile and will probably see an increase in instaheals and keys you see on average in games.
While killers on the other hand will have to use up all their add ons in every trial and could have to go trough multiple bloodwebs to get a good built back. It's already hard enough to play a lot of the killers because of their reliance on add ons that are hard to come by.
If they're increasing the gain for survivors the least they can do is reduce the price of add ons for killers to help balance the scales.
As long as grind is lessened, I'm all for it. Add-ons are a must have for killers indeed.

Every time the change the matchmaking killers have longer Q and this happen way before the event even starts.
This happens every time there is an event, whether you look at it before or after the matchmaking change.
-
Waiting time for fixes seems way too long in my opinion as well. I'll go along with this request as well.
-
@DarkGGhost said:
Do you have proof that the longer Q is because survivors don't play that's much?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/565470#Comment_565470
Every time there is an event, my killer queues get insanely long, regardless of the release of a killer or survivor, due to the easily perceived effect that you can get a lot more BPs in the killer side. I'm still trying to understand why is this change bad on the killer side. Worst case scenario, survivor queues get longer and killer ones get shorter, which will still make it so that killers get more BPs per hour. @Tsulan mentioned the WGLF introduction. I believe I joined DbD after that, but wasn't the perk initially rewarding 200% extra bloodpoints, which would give an insane extra amount of BPs after a match?
-
I play survivor nowadays to spend bloodpoints in the killer side. I've never prestiged anyone due to how grindy it is. Queues will get better and we can get reasonable bps in both sides seems like a win win to me.
-
@DocOctober said:
@Peanits Are you guys taking into account that Survivors currently make more Bloodpoints per, let's say hour, than Killers because they get more games thanks to their lower queue times and not being bound to stay in a trial until the end?
I feel like people tend to forget that a lot of people actually wait until the end of the game, especially when playing with their friends. Furthermorr, BBQ is way easier to stack than We're Gonna Live Forever.
-
I was hoping they would also mention a reduction of the grind, although this should help a bit :)
-
@TRB124 said:
Playing Survivors is unrewarding, so it’s not surprising that wait times for killers is high. Playing killer = Less stress and more control and more BP.
Even when failing as killer you can get a lot more BP compared to survivors. An average game as survivor will get you 8-15k points without escape while a killer that doesn’t have any kills can end the game with 20-30k points, and that’s not counting BBQ and chilli. In fact your BP’s as survivor can be a lot less if the killer is running a mori or tunnels you straight off the hook.
Playing survivor you have to rely on team mates that farm you off the hook, killers that camp and tunnel, killers that play with OP add ons and ebony mori... most of the time playing solo survivor is more stressful than fun.
Yet according to the forums killers are underpowered, there are still too many pallets, DS is still op and every lobby is full of Toxic SWF players. If that’s the case then why isn’t everyone playing survivor?
First of all, I play both sides. I play survivor to relax and killer when I just want to try some crazy combo. Killer is by no means relaxing and up until recently, I would shiver whenever I saw a lobby getting filled up due to how bad and stressful some of my past experiences were. My mindset towards the game changed and that helped me a lot.
-
I would rather prefer that they added further objectives for survivors in ranks below 10 assuming balance is around rank 10 :)

Yeah would just turn it to old ruin, but would feel less oppressive due to the fact that now it's not much worse that a normal gen, so maybe more survivors would try and work through it?
I really hate it when my team won't work through ruin. I understand giving a quick look round before getting started but my god!! DO SOME F'ING GENS YO!!

We've gone over it in the past, but it's mostly a matter of simplifying it for new players. Having a wall of numbers on each item and add-on can be overwhelming, while saying 'slightly' and 'moderately' is a lot simpler. There are also cases like the mist offerings where the things they modify don't make sense as numbers. If they said "makes the mist 50% thicker", that wouldn't really be helpful. On top of that, real numbers can be misleading with the way math works in video games; take a look at old Enduring for example.
One of the suggestions I've heard before that I think would be interesting is having a simple and advanced mode for descriptions. By pressing a button, all of the "slightly" and "moderately" parts of the descriptions are switched for actual numbers. This way it's simple for new or casual players but the numbers are easily accessible for more experienced players.
It's good feedback, though, I'll bring the feedback up with the team.
Thank you for clarifying it. I wasn't aware of past discussions concerning it. The suggestion you raised seems quite interesting and would bring the best of the two worlds.
-
The thing is that Ruin completely destroys new players.
-
An official response stating the position from the devs would be appreciated. I've wondered this myself a lot of times as well. I understand the rationale given by @drimmalor, but it is rather misleading as it was posted concerning the Pig's addons.
-
Not to be mean, but the issue on step 1 is either bad map design or bad method to approach a survivor. Unrelated with how big the detection screen is.
