What about Spirit fury? That doesn't alert the survivor. I think its silly to tell the survivor the killer has anything until they are affected by it IE the pallet breaking after the vault.

Because SF has pre requisites before its activation. Dissolution doesnt. And it works both ways u know. Many Surv perks alert the Killer as well.

  • Lightborn + Agitation

whenever I see 3-4 Beamers and I suspect they are either good or bullies, I swap any perk to Lightborn. I always have Agitation on so it helps. U could also use Mad Grit as well. But that would reduce ur options for the other slot.

Franklins is a waste imo if they’re coordinated theyll simply pick up the other players item to prevent its charges from being depleted.

20 or 30 minute trial time limit with forced egc start but still closed and powered doors.

Survivor still have a chance to leave if the maybe start on both gates simultaneously or with bad rng the killer can protect both.

And the trial can't go on for eternity but has a fixed ending.

I feel like there should be a time limit in case of such stalemates u know. But it would have to be well thought out so no one can take unfair advantage out of it. U know, so no one would force that outcome on purpose

See I had that happen but I was killer and had a perfect 3 Gen as Vommy Mommy but never dced...the match lasted for a hour before the Survivors gave up and stood by hooks to be sacrificed

I know right? Its pretty ######### tbh cause most of the time its the survs fault for leaving a 3gen. So just hiding forever is kinda dumb instead of just hopping the next match

  • I know what u mean bro, but it simply wouldn’t work. The only viable counterplay is not get locked into a 3 gen. The killer wants the win just as much as the survivors so if they have to patrol that 3gen its only fair u know.

that being said, the other day I spectated the last 2 survs remaining, the killer was heavily patrolling the 3gen and wouldn’t commit so they decided to hide inside a locker and wait for the killer to dc….which he did

Why do people call him Draga?Sounds so much worse than Dredge.

I think it’s a language thing. I know the dredge is called “Draga” in portuguese and spanish (correct me if im wrong).

  • Not really tbh. Back in the day DBD was much different and much harder. I played legacy dbd everyday when it first came out for a long time ( I just had surgery so it was the only thing to keep boredom away) and I only managed to get 2 legacies which are billy and Claudette. And I barely play with them anymore lol

  • I mean, if they didn’t prioritize that locker then there would be no real advantage to using the lock mechanic, since its one use only for each individual locker

I still don't know why it gives a notification, the goal of those perk should be to surprise the other side by them not knowing you have it until it gets them.

it's like having a notification before picking someone up as killer that they have DS.

It gives a notification because its a low risk high reward perk. I mean, to get the same effect from Spirit Fury u need to break at least 2 other pallets beforehand. If Dissolution didn’t notify it wouldn’t have any counterplay AND it would be super strong with very few, if any, downsides

That word does not mean what you think it means.

No u weren’t lol. What u did was like, me asking what was the most popular band in the 80s and someone said: “google it”. Its unhelpful and indeed a very petty attitude tbh.

So is wraith tho. Both weak but both easy to use. I feel that is the only reason for the high pick rate.

I don’t disagree with u tho. The devs shouldn’t rework him because he is boring, but I do think he need some retooling. I barely ever see any legions and when I do they get stomped. It’s a travesty

Do you think Trickster's low kill rate could be attributed to his level or difficulty varying across platforms? For instance, I used to play DBD on Xbox and aiming with Trickster specifically was quite difficult. You could do well if the survivor was up close and spray them with knives, but medium range and timing loop throws was much harder due to the throwing "pattern" and recoil (Ironically the console recoil is actually reduced compared to pc but does not feel that way). Comparatively, I switched to pc about a month and a half ago and I've had a way better experience with aiming. My knives actually feel like they go where I throw, tracking is much easier with a mouse, and timing the knife throws is way easier when spinning the camera is more simple and accurate with a mouse. Basically, I get more downs on pc personally with Trickster and it actually feels like my aim is rewarded. I would say it is a lot harder to get downs with console Trickster due to the joystick aiming and the camera movement not having as refined tuning options, such as deadzone settings for example. Do you guys agree or have different experiences from me when using console Trickster?

(I do think he could use some buffs in general, but I have just been pondering if the low kill rate could be due to other factors as well.)

My main problem with trickster is how slow he feels. Even with play with ur food i tend to have a hard time doing his dailies. Hes not weak, but hes super average overall. I mean, hes a weaker version of Huntress.

When u hit an axe with huntress u immediately reap the benefits. But with trickster it takes too long to payoff and in a genrush meta it kinda hurts him a lil.

  • Apparently red ranks dont mean what they used to mean back in the day. So red ranks are not by any means reflection of mmr.

that being said, I did my adept dredge achievement at iri 1. People tend to be sweaty af the higher u go but u can always make a comeback. I take it u main Oni, right? Rn survs are dropping twice the orbs after rushed actions, u can take advantage of that

Really? IF this is true then you should understand more than most that what triggers an epileptic seizure for one person may not for another. There isn't just a single form of epilepsy with everyone having the same "triggers". There are several types of epilepsy and each individual is affected differently depending on the stimuli and severity of said stimuli. It's not debatable, you're coming off as kind of ignorant.

Exactly it varies in intensity but its agreed upon low intensities (3 hertz or lower) is not a common trigger for seizures. So im sorry if Im skeptical about the low hertz intensity of flashlight macros in this game

  • @Mooks said:

It’s not a black-or-white condition. Photosensitivity can have different severity. You have been linked a thread already where Someone talks about their cousin having had a seizure due to DbD

One case is not universal tbh, an issue such as this need more comprehensive details. Take the reshader cases as exemples

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3044017#Comment_3044017

And as I mentioned above, photosensitivity does not work like that bro.

there already have been reports that it can work like that though and that Makro clicking actually caused seizures…

Care to link me those? Cause I searched for a bit and haven’t found any tbh. I mean I cant speak for other people, but at least my brother never had any with over 3k hours as killer.

but if its true I’ll totally agree with u. Now if all this is just using a disability as a guise to get macros banned baceuse theyre “annoying”, that would be a pretty ######### thing to do

  • My brother is epileptic with over 3k hours as killer and he never had any. So I guess it’s debatable 🤨

Oh, I get it, forcing me into using specific perks is soo much better.

In case of shrine - right now it only unlock the perk so it can appear in bloodweb, then you have to buy it and spend BP's. After patch perk will be unlocked on all characters. Currency does not matter - buying perk from shrine will save you more BP's since you don't have to buy it 28 times from bloodweb.

So anyway, how dense are u?

bro do u realize some people only play survivor and some only killer right? How does any incentive benefit them? Lol the perk at least lets u play the role u want. Giving full bonus benefit all the same. What dont u understand?

again, Even with the shrine giving the perk in tier 3 u still have to use a different currency like ?? U will still be forced to pay 50k to prestige everytime, and u can’t opt not to prestige. So what u “save” in the shrine u will have to spend prestiging regardless. Like ?? at best they cancel each other out. Op literally explained this.

Why is it so hard for u to understand bro?

  • @c0gnu5 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3044322#Comment_3044322

That still does not take into account things I mentioned before (shrine, resets, incentives). But I get it, it's your party and you will cry if you want to.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3044325#Comment_3044325

Ok, go on count BBQ then.

how dense are u? Even if u take incentives into account u get the same benefits from BBQ and WGLV, except all the time like ? I dont have to force myself to play a specific role and I still get the bonus with those perks lol

and once again, cause u dont seem to understand: shrines dont share the same currency as bloodwebs like ???

  • @c0gnu5 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3044307#Comment_3044307

Are you talking about updated spreadsheet, that shows it's closer to 40-50%?

And if WGLF is so important, please go play 10 games and check how often this perk appears.

yes, 40/50% being veeeery generous cmon. If u did the math you’d know its closer to 37 ish. which again, is not even close to the 75% aforementioned by the devs.

the issue was never “importance of BP perks”, if the updated prestige system actually gave a 75% reduced grind it would be a fair trade imo. The issue actually is the grind is not nearly as reduced as it was supposed to, we dont have bonus bp perks anymore AND we are forced to prestige which now costs a reasonable amount AND to top it all off we get stuck with the small webs for around 20-25 levels (which provide very little btw) every time we prestige.

So, in case u haven’t realized, the issue has always been “we’ve been taken for fools”. I hope thats been clarified now

  • @c0gnu5 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3043789#Comment_3043789

Yet you are ignoring new incentives for playing desired role, the fact that you don't need to reset and waste 150 bloodwebs to get prestige skins, shrine of secrets will now be worth much more since it will unlock perks on all characters, and that 18% was debunked long time ago in this very thread. And you have audacity to call other trolls.

U can never put these “incentives” into account as they’re relative and inconstant. The math has only been done around what is immediate and unconditional. Prestige skins now unlock up until P6, which is either the same or worse. Shrine of secrets is also inconstant since u can never know what will be available and they do not cost BP but Shards, which is a completely different currency.

With every new killer or surv ur wasting more as pointed by op in their rebuttal to Peanits, which I advise u to read, specially with the forced toll of 50k each prestige. And no the 18% was not “debunked” as u claim, if u actually take the time and read ops rebuttal in page 4 of this very topic you will understand. Leveling a new killer or surv to P3 is vastly more costly than leveling to level 40 and straight up buying the teachables for the character(s) u want.

again, this new system only dims the grind IF u already P3d every character in the game. Moreover, considering the vast majority of players are casuals that is NOT the case.

  • I think they’re exploitable (ie swf abusing boons in the library in RPD, or abusing bedhams boiler room with sabo and breakout Or Myers scratched mirror in indoor maps, or no terror radius Doc in Lerrys).

  • This should go on the “bug report” section of the forums tbh

  • I think I have 60/40. Love playing killer but sometimes the q is loooong so i switch.

  • U can still trade hooks, the reduced cooldown is barely 2 stacks of Save the Best for Last, the perk itself goes up to 8, so the change helps, but not as much as ur worried.

I feel the changes are a way to make M1 killers a liiiiitle bit more viable overall. The state they are in rn is not amazing tbh

Isn't the biggest reason survivors have a problem with Legion because they slow the game down to a crawl and turn it into a mend simulator?

Mending constantly being annoying doesn’t count as “slowdown”. Thana is the real slowdown for most legions

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3044159#Comment_3044159

Keep in mind the perk gets you value if it puts survivors in a situation where they have a no-win choice of vaulting a pallet and getting hit anyway or leaving a pallet and getting hit because they're in an open area. Actually breaking the pallet itself is just a cherry on top when it happens, the real benefit is the survivor being unable to take advantage of a nearby pre-dropped pallet.

Ironically since it's tied to terror radius, and Dredge is Undetectable a good chunk of the game, he gets less use out of his own perk than some other killers do. Personally my guess is the best killers for Dissolution are the ones who survivors like to pre-drop pallets and who they like to heal to full against. For instance, Clown with Save the Best For Last and Dissolution seems like a decent combo, they hit a healthy survivor, the survivor tries to run but doesn't get much distance, and a pallet early in this situation can lead to the Clown just getting a really easy hit unless it's a particularly safe one and wasn't dropped already.

Since u mentioned Clown, may I add some also decent killers who can take advantage of Dissolution: infinite tier 3 Myers, Oni, Deathslinger, Doc are very nice picks to add dissolution to their loadout since survs tend to pre drop pallets around them

  • @luvcraft said:

I mean, I guess it does what it's supposed to, but what it does is useless. You hit somebody, then 3 seconds AFTER that if they vault a palette in your terror radius it breaks the palette? For what killer and in what situation is that possibly a big help?

Maybe Huntress during a long chase? (meaning that 2 of Dredge's 3 perks are only good for Huntress?)

It has these 3 seconds so the killer will take full advantage of it. May I remind u theres a cooldown between each M1 atk, lasting roughly 2 secs.

  • @CosmicParagon said:

Simpler solution is to keep the current timer, but have it start at the last generator. That way the endgame is spicier by being on the clock, no more 99%ing the gate

As the devs said many many maaaaany times: EGC is not supposed to help the killer nor the survivors. Its there just to set the match a time limit, so the game will not be taken hostage by anyone. So no

  • @Biscuits said:

You unlock 3 perks for 35 characters every time you prestige, on top of not losing any perks or items anymore. For that to not be huge, we must be doing math upside down.

It is literally not. Bro, ur arguments are invalid crom the moment u refuse to aknowledge the work done to prove that. I dont care what u personally think, the FACT is literally here. Just scroll up and read it, if u don’t believe it just do the math urself. Otherwise please refrain from talking about stuff u dont know.

“oh we must be doing the math upside down”. U can literally check how it was done in this very topic. Jeez

  • Billy has a high skill ceiling and the payoff is debatable. Mostly what drags billy down is his overheat mechanics tbh.

but hes got great mobility, lethality and chase potential if used correctly. But its really really hard to play him. So why play billy when Oni does everything he does but better?

if they rework his overheat I believe we’ll start to see more of him

Seriously, what the heck ? Whether the new grind reduction is actually good enough and accomplishes what we wanted it to do well is a separate topic (All they had to do was remove perk tiers lol), but with it being mostly better, and the new matchmaking incentives, the overall bp gain and grind definitely won't be worse even without the bonuses from these perks. Regardless, did people actually like using those ? How ?! You had to run these perks or you were actively robbing yourself of bp, it was annoying if you couldn't get the perk since you felt cheated out of bp due to pure luck and annoying even if you got it since you actually had 3 perk slots instead of 4 and the game was actively punishing you for every match you chose to opt for a different perk by reducing your rewards by half. It was unhealthy as it made the whole grind revolve around it and substantially reduced build variety. Them addressing the core systems and finally removing this reliance on a single perk (per role) for efficient play is just straight up a good thing and it boggles my mind how people miss it. I remember letting out an audible sigh of relief when reading those perk changes and thinking to myself "FINALLY ! After 5 years my builds won't be handicapped. The game will be way better off thanks to it".

So yeah, I don't understand why so many people are going to miss it.

Except its not a separate discussion?? If the grind stays the same or becomes worse (which is the case btw) the removal of bonus bp from perks only makes the grind even harder, so yeah people dont like the changes. Its kinda obvious tbh idk why ur surprised

  • 2022 and people still think they deserve kills just because its endgame

no it hasn’t. Jesus. Go and do the math urself man. The grind was reduced by only 18% and IF and ONLY IF u already have most killers and survs p3d. Which is not the case for most people. Otherwise ur just wasting more with the 50k toll and the tiny webs with useless clunk

And yes the issue is annoying as hell and just an instrument to taunt, nothing else and has to be dealt with.

Its a strategy used to annoy bro. To get u rilled up and make mistakes. To get ur attention away from what u should actually be focusing. It’s a means to divert.

it is annoying but that’s all that it is. Same as slugging the 3rd surv to give u time to find the last one and not give the hatch.

There are those people who are photosensitive and/or havean epileptic history.

Implementing a limit as @dugman proposed would literally not impactsl anyone's gameplay who played normally, but but would do both: protect sensitive players and curb toxicity, as this kind of macro clicking is considered to be extremely rude.

photosensitivity does not work like that bro. Its exposure to flickering or flashings of certain intensity. A flashlight’s beam does not have such intensities to trigger a seizure. And even if it did, it would have to be constantly flashing in front of the killers camera. Which is not the case. most of the time its used to annoy and get the killers attention.

but one thing I agree, there should be more accessibility options all around.
