Thanks as always

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you still can report them in game. So it should be the same thing as anonymous mode. I do agree that it would be nice to see the players profile though.

It really isn’t tho the tiles aren’t unbalanced killers will say anything is unbalanced to get an easier game lol

second match in a row today, all disconnected ~5 minutes into the match
-
If I'm not mistaken this way you can save 5k BP's more (240k vs 235k).
-
Like Forza said, cognitive biases. I play both killer and survivor and i have around 800 hours. It's easy to remember games where you get destroyed as a survivor with everybody dead on 4 gens, or games where you get destroyed as a killer with 2 hooks and everybody at exit gate. But I bet you had games where you destroyed that Nurse with noed, where it felt like everybody knew exactly what to do, or games where you got 3 kills on survivors with 4k+ hours each.
If you struggle as a survivor - try to find folks you can play with on comms, or if you prefer solo q - just try to take games less seriously. Run blast mine and autodidact etc.
If you struggle as a killer - record your gameplay. You will very quickly catch mistakes you make and you will know what to improve. Also, if survivors brought strongest items and perks in the game, don't take it too seriously.
-
Did you do anything that fixed this issue? I'm having the same problem.
-
It does not eat Pop, because Pop activates when you kick the gen. And after eating Blast mine, gen is not kicked (it's not regressing).
By the way, people saying that 5 seconds is nothing probably never used this perk. The only downside of Blast mine is that most of the time, when killer comes to you while you are doing a gen, and you start to run away, they just go for you. By the time they catch up and hook you, even if they go back to kick the gen, blast mine is already gone.
But when you meet the killer that kick every generator... Boy oh boy, they will never catch you. By the time they kick the gen you can be so far that they actually can't tell where you are, especially if you are running Lightweight as well.
5 seconds is 20 meters, for killer with no mobility it takes around 30 seconds to catch up, assuming that you run away in straight line (so theoretical, not really possible best case scenario for the killer).
-
Two days ago I got reply to my report that "Slugging is not considered to be a punishable offence". Although it was not exactly on topic of my report (staff member misunderstood who am I reporting), it answers your question. Maybe it's there so they can send automatic response that it is not a reason to report?
-
Well, matchmaking is based on MMR, which is based on your performance and not hours in game, so...
But for real maybe there was no survivors available in this MMR range, someone left the lobby, and the game had to quickly find someone else. If there are enough players with simillar MMR they are matched together, but if there are not enough, well, as of right now there are no bots in normal games so it have to be someone.
-
If blast mine shouldn't be refunded and it was in fact a bug, then I think it shouldn't expire. It should deactivate only if it explode or generator is completed.
It was gimmicky, funny perk, shame it got nerfed like that.

low quality bait

The fastest and most efficient way to stop killers from camping(or at least being able to camp effectively) is to make a debuff that if a killer goes within 20 meters of the hook after 5 seconds of the person being on it the gen speed increases by 10%. That's all. That's literally the difference between a guaranteed 2k and, 1k with 3 people escaping. I should add this debuff deactivates if another survivor is within the same range.
What if I'm playing Trapper on Cowshed and there is another survivor trying to loop me around a hook and my 3 gen, while other 2 survivors are on the opposite side of the map, where I have no power?
-
Instead of assuming, you can, for example, read what changes were made and what they were supposed to achieve. Grind was reduced because you don't lose everything upon prestiging, and you don't need to unlock new perks on each character. It was never said that leveling up bloodweb will be cheaper.

For me hands down the most satisfying thing is catching and body blocking healthy survivor with Trapper, Plague or one of the chainsaw boyos. Especially with Plague and Trapper, since it takes 2-3 seconds to put down the trap / fully infect and then m1 them, but they can't do anything about that.

And by chosing to ignore my arguments that contradics your theories, you are proving me right, so thank you for that.
BHVR gave you all the tools and variables to see whats going on, but you are choosing to ignore some of them and skew the numbers to support your false statements. Fortunately they can simply ignore you, because it's not their job to educate you. There is this saying, "the moon doesn’t care for barking dogs".

I dunno, that might be true for survivors because they only need to BP grind hard for a new DLC drop and scoop up the new survivor perks to put on their one main survivor. Most Killer mains play with a group of different Killers and we were married to BBQnChilli. I never took it off for 5 years.
I don’t think I’m alone in that either. Trying to take care of multiple Killers was very expensive and wasn’t easy to manage without BBQ.
This sound like stockholm syndrome. Fortunately it will be replaced with new mechanics that are healthier for the game overall.

You're even there trying to wrongfully convice others to your misleading statements. Ofc it would solve the grind problem. Partially at least.
You're even there trying to wrongfully convice others to your misleading statements. Ofc it would not solve the grind problem. It would still grow exponentially with each DLC. New system makes it linear.
-
Because they wanted to address the fact that grind is growing exponentially with each dlc, and removing perk tiers is not solving this problem.

how dense are u? Even if u take incentives into account u get the same benefits from BBQ and WGLV, except all the time like ? I dont have to force myself to play a specific role and I still get the bonus with those perks lol
and once again, cause u dont seem to understand: shrines dont share the same currency as bloodwebs like ???
Oh, I get it, forcing me into using specific perks is soo much better.
In case of shrine - right now it only unlock the perk so it can appear in bloodweb, then you have to buy it and spend BP's. After patch perk will be unlocked on all characters. Currency does not matter - buying perk from shrine will save you more BP's since you don't have to buy it 28 times from bloodweb.
So anyway, how dense are u?

yes, 40/50% being veeeery generous cmon. If u did the math you’d know its closer to 37 ish. which again, is not even close to the 75% aforementioned by the devs.
the issue was never “importance of BP perks”, if the updated prestige system actually gave a 75% reduced grind it would be a fair trade imo. The issue actually is the grind is not nearly as reduced as it was supposed to, we dont have bonus bp perks anymore AND we are forced to prestige which now costs a reasonable amount AND to top it all off we get stuck with the small webs for around 20-25 levels (which provide very little btw) every time we prestige.
So, in case u haven’t realized, the issue has always been “we’ve been taken for fools”. I hope thats been clarified now
That still does not take into account things I mentioned before (shrine, resets, incentives). But I get it, it's your party and you will cry if you want to.

Why is it WGLF?
Why not "if BBQ and Chili is so important, please go play 10 games and check how often this perk appears."
Stop Cherry picking so you could win arguments lol
Ok, go on count BBQ then.

U can never put these “incentives” into account as they’re relative and inconstant. The math has only been done around what is immediate and unconditional. Prestige skins now unlock up until P6, which is either the same or worse. Shrine of secrets is also inconstant since u can never know what will be available and they do not cost BP but Shards, which is a completely different currency.
With every new killer or surv ur wasting more as pointed by op in their rebuttal to Peanits, which I advise u to read, specially with the forced toll of 50k each prestige. And no the 18% was not “debunked” as u claim, if u actually take the time and read ops rebuttal in page 4 of this very topic you will understand. Leveling a new killer or surv to P3 is vastly more costly than leveling to level 40 and straight up buying the teachables for the character(s) u want.
again, this new system only dims the grind IF u already P3d every character in the game. Moreover, considering the vast majority of players are casuals that is NOT the case.
Are you talking about updated spreadsheet, that shows it's closer to 40-50%?
And if WGLF is so important, please go play 10 games and check how often this perk appears.

You're ignoring that Most people will not care for incentives.
If I'm invited by a Friend to SWF while the 100% BP incentive is on the Killer, I'm not gonna play Killer.
If I'm a Killer Main that finds Survivor boring while there's 100% BP incentive. I'm still not gonna play Survivor.
People will play what they want and a Number of the player base I guarantee is gonna play the one without the incentives most of the time.
You are ignoring that most people don't care for BP perks.
If I want to play with interesting build, I'm not gonna restrict my perk choice by using WGLF.

Try to understand what you read. Please.
The grind reduction is around 18% according to spreadsheets. These DO NOT take into consideration BP bonus perk (+50%), so effective grind reduction is -32% aka grind is INCREASED by 32% and on top of that, 50k prestige fee is also NOT INCLUDED!!! so yeah, it's not whining just to whine. Imagine that it's not something I enjoy in particular to do.
Yet you are ignoring new incentives for playing desired role, the fact that you don't need to reset and waste 150 bloodwebs to get prestige skins, shrine of secrets will now be worth much more since it will unlock perks on all characters, and that 18% was debunked long time ago in this very thread. And you have audacity to call other trolls.

of course you will. So do I
Those changes are decent for veteran players who already have most of the grind behind us, but wait for new dlc when you have to farm 9M without BBQ.
And this is going to absolutely suck for new players. It's going to be way worse for them.
I will have all perks on new killer imidiately, and I won't have to go through 6 x 28 bloodwebs to unlock new perks on others. Personally I can't wait

We did math, it won't.
It depends on how many characters you care about. If you actually want to play all killers for example, it will be 50% lower.
but addons will be harder to get with all those resets.
I play only one survivor, so for me it increased by 20% instead.
I play mostly killer and I don't really care for addons, less will be still enough for me and I will save a lot of BP's thanks to this patch

You are happy that you will need twice more games for same thing?
Prestige costs 50k, you will need to play 2 games just to pay for basically nothing.
Not for the same thing, since this patch will reduce grind.
BP bonuses in perks is simply bad design.
-
I'm happy that bp bonuses are gone, now I have 4 perk slots instead of 3
-
I know that not everybody cares for bloody skins, but how would old and new prestige compare if you take into account that in old system, in order to get prestige skins you had to waste 100 levels?
-
I'm happy to prestige 6 times instead of 3 times while losing everything each time I prestige. It is more expensive, but at least my bloodpoints are not going down the drain.
-
Maybe increase sabotage time? Or / and disable collisions in 6m range so you can't be bodyblocked

You can't get banned for giving hatch.
What is bannable is selling out your own teammate to the killer to get hatch but that's the survivor getting banned not the killer.
I've heard it from killer that got banned, but i don't know full story, maybe that survivor was helping him before. Still I would be cautious
-
I've heard that you can get banned for working with opponent if you give someone hatch

Stop thinking that you need to win every game. I had simmilar feelings lately, but recently I started playing trapper with no slowdown or info perks. For example I play with thrill, retribution, haunted and devour, and I do everything to protect totems, or agitation, mad grit, iron grasp and something else and I'm trying to bait protection hits. If I lose - who cares - I am literally playing trapper with no slowdown or info. And if you win - it feels 3x better than winning with your main with meta perks. At the same time, playing without super strong perks will help you improve.
-
As a Plague and Trapper and Billy main, I do agree, but from my experience as a survivor Billy should be in B.
Otherwise it's surprisingly accurate

@ScarBack said:
DBD currently has a lot of issues that is made very clear by the fact that the game has been on a steady decline for months (reference: DBD’s player count on the steam charts). Survivor queues can be up to 12 minutes, playing as both sides can be frustrating due to MMR, the grind for perks is still an issue that keeps growing with each new chapter release, and there’s so much more that players have listed grievances over.
A solution that many players have been crying out for is a chapter release where the devs focus on the game’s health. No new killer or survivor, just a chapter of fixing all the problems plaguing the game. I think almost every single DBD player would be fully supportive of a chapter where we get buffs to perks that aren’t used at all, map balancing, buffs to solo queue for survivor, buffs to weak killers such as Clown, MMR tweaks to make it a little more bearable, and all these other things that DBD players have been begging a long time for.
If we as a community start pushing for this and start more discussions on this topic, Behavior might actually listen and consider it.
This would not work.
- People want new content. Yes, it would be nice if the game had no bugs and other problems, but lack of content for 6 months will really thin playerbase.
- There are many people working on the game, and they have different qualifications. For example, graphics designers can't fix bugs. Releasing new content does not really slow down fixing problems, at least not to a degree you think it is.
-
You can report that killer, but I don't think anything will be done. He didn't took the game hostage, since he was not preventing it from ending. This would be bannable if, for example, you were the only survivor left - this way he could keep you in game indefinitely
-
It takes 2 perk slots and you may not be able to use it, it's good in theory, just like Autodidact
-
Starstruck, Save the best for last, Agitation, Mad grit - either for pausing wiggle meter or for spamming m1 to assert dominance
-
Last time I played against Plague, one of my teammate was teabagging at me for around 15 seconds while I was doing gen. He wanted to heal me. I was injured and partially infected.
I also remember a guy, that wanted to rescue me from the hook and he cleansed 2 times on his way (I was fully infected).
-
Ok, so OTZ came up with a build to win the game in funny way. He is perfectly capable to win 98% of his games if he is trying hard, but just to make something new he tried this. It took him multiple attempts because there is so many things that could go wrong. So he basically instead of playing the way that would give him 98% chance of winnig, he chose way that works 15-20% of the times.
Yea BHVR do something this is unacceptable
-
To be fair, rank means nothing, I suggest you ignore it all together. I have around 160 hours, maybe 1/3 of it as a killer, yesterday I finally got to silver and survivors in iri are not that rare for me.
Maybe you just shouldn't expect to win as a Ghostface against fully stacked survivors with boons and strong items
