When I tried playing the mobile game a few months back I came to the conclusion that it was diet DBD at best. That's really not a good thing when you take into account that DBD itself is practically a mobile game to begin with.

I recently started playing killer and have fallen in love with that perk. I totally understand why everyone runs it now.
-
WD-40
-
-Moth Man
-Lone survivor (great indie game that's getting a remake very soon)
-Clock Tower
-Elvira
-Shawn of the Dead
-Courage the Cowardly Dog
-Scooby Doo
-Are you afraid of the dark (really just for the nostalgia)
-Goosebumps
-Something at the window is scratching
-The Office
I guess Shawn of the Dead kind of has a real chance.
-
I had a scratch mirror Myers match today. I brought the survivors to the RPD and managed to get some confirmed scares. There is nothing more satisfying in this game than actually terrifying someone.
-
I once ran ghost face around the RPD for 2 full minutes without a single gen popping and I was still berated in chat for failing to carry the team. I even took a guaranteed NOED hit for someone AND got face camped for it. There is nothing you can do for some people. The best advice I can offer is to let it go and move on. They were going to use somebody to vent and you just happened to be next in line.
-
Using this two or three years from now will somehow break the game.
-
I don't think I've ever seen it make a difference.
-
Cool new killers and survivors but mmr is has sucked a lot of life out of the game.
-
I am in no way surprised that some of these forum members are terrible people. The daily cry baby threads are very telling.
-
- All of the crossover characters come from great material
- When survivors know what they're doing the game is actually pretty fun
Unfortunately that's all I have. This game is nearly entirely carried by the crossover content IMO.
-
I wish that end game perks altered the collapse in some way. Maybe changing the color scheme from red to blue or something.

The amount of folks who don't know bubba has a silent saw add on 🤭
First thing I did was check his add-ons and he was using award winning chili along with Begrimed Chains. I double checked the recording just to make sure.
-
I figure licensed characters are tough enough to make it out of the realm and probably hit the ground running the exact moment they were taken.

It's not an add-on by chance is it?
Nah, just award winning chili and Begrimed Chains. Silent revving sounds like it would make for a cool add-on though.

Which BHVR also tried to get but Warner studios turned them down.
Is this legit or just a rumor?
Kind of makes sense seeing how they retconned the zombie island movie (Just people in masks that they THOUGHT were real zombies).
-
Probably not considering most games don't have "sit there and do nothing until you're kicked out of the game" as a core mechanic.
-
As someone who has only played a little bit of the vr game at most I'd love to see FNAF in DBD. People tend to overlook the fact that it was the spark that resurrected the horror genre back into gaming. Every big company was begging for that FNAF tier money.
-
I want the killers to be more dynamic and for survivor to have more interesting interactions. I don't care if Gens become among us tier and I don't care if Demo is climbing up walls and shredding through vaults- I just want the game to be more interesting.
And would it really be that bad if killers had map specific traps they could interact with?

Even if it is not FNAF I just want a robot killer. I just like robots.
Spongebob confirmed for anniversary chapter?

Poor design is ingrained within the core mechanics of this game.
-
4) Clown survivors and Rat killers
-
If William gets into the game I'd rather him be a survivor tbh. Give him a perk that lets you shove sandbagging teammates to the ground.
-
I feel like I only get Killer dailies. Is it because I play survivor more? Is behavior trying to incentivize playing the more neglected role?
-
I love the RPD map and I hope it never changes.
-
Camping happens every other game for me now. Face camping only happens if it's a Bubba or if the killer is extremely salty, although I've noticed that Huntress players are starting to blur the line between face camping and proxi camping.
-
I feel like survivor breathing is way louder too. I keep thinking there's a Myers near me because of it.
-
BUBBA, MY PEBBLES!!!
-
James Sunderland is censored.
-
Teammates usually weasel their way into this blame game. I was playing Myers the other day on Gideon Meat Plant and David intentionally sandbagged Michaela in that one room near basement. She ended up eating a tier 3 and gave up on hook.
(don't worry, I face camped the David later on)
-
Clown needs his own dream world where everything looks like a cartoon.
-
Me when I'm solo queuing at night.
-
There are a few things I would still like to see.
-The real Freddy (with voice lines)
-Movie GF (with voice lines)
-Downtown Haddonfield
-Alternate version of Thomson house that more closely resembles TCM (or at least a map based on the second film)
-An entire circus for Clown
-
In my experience a lot of it has to do with showing out in front of their friends. A lot of those players have genuine issues going on in their lives though and what you're witnessing in chat is one of their few outlets for blowing off steam.
-
I was getting horrendous lag a few months back as well as DC before the game could even start (it would always tell me that it was someone else but now I know it was on my end). Turns out my HDD was dying and I also had a bad stick of ram. It could very well be a hardware issue on your end.
-
Have to agree with the above post although I do think that hatch needs revisiting.
-
She's been pretty rare, yeah. I finally got one later on in the day and rather than use her power she just tunneled and camped me. :(
-
Nevermind. I don't know how to delete this.

Wanted to make a thread talking about the issue of burnout and wanted to see if I could get some insight into various things like what causes people to be burned out from DBD, what they do about it, if they bother to keep trying or just stop playing all together.
For those interested in the thread:
On a scale of 1-9 with 1 being not at all and 9 being burned out to the point of not playing anymore, how burned out are you with DBD.
Feel free to be as brief or long-winded as you like with any explanation you want to give. This doesn't have to strictly be any particular thing either it could be which ever side you prefer to play, a character you main etc.
For those wondering why I'm making this thread, after today's session with the game I'm feeling pretty disappointed with it. Not because the new content is particularly bad or anything, the Ringu chapter is pretty well made and I can't really find fault with it.
My issue at the moment is it feels like all my attempts to try and be the change I want to see with this game always falls flat. Mainly on the survivor side, I'm not burned out with Killer necessarily i just don't feel like playing it. This isn't gonna be a rant about matchmaking or anything of the sort, I'm just not enjoying my matches and I feel powerless to do anything about it, leading to my frustration and burnout with the game.
I know a bunch of people have been making a big thing of the whole steam chart situation, I don't know how to feel about it myself since it's not the whole picture - consoles aren't included and neither are the other PC platforms.
TL;DR - How burned out are you with DBD on a scale of 1-9 and why?
"8"
SBMM has really sucked the fun out of the game for solo queue. I keep getting teamed with immersed survivors and as a result my own mmr keeps getting lowered.
-No one wants to work on gens at the start out of fear of being tunneled/camped
-Immersed players don't know when to go for saves
-New players don't have access to windows of opportunity so they go down within 7 seconds of being chased
-The one immersed player who threw the game is given a free pass by the killer (I'm probably guilty of this one)
-Good SWF teammates appear once in a blue moon
-SWF teammates are usually pretty chill but I've had plenty that blame the randoms for everything
-Most of the playerbase is entitled and easily upset
-Being competent at the game will piss the killer off
-Nemesis zombies only work when I'm playing survivor
-Killers camp more than ever and new players don't know how to counter it
-Getting farmed lowers MY mmr
-Getting camped lowers MY mmr
-Running the killer for 3 gens lowers MY mmr
-Using fun builds lowers MY mmr
-Teammates lower MY mmr
-Hackers are everywhere and have me extremely paranoid
The game is seriously at a point where I don't want to play it anymore because I know it will ruin my mood. I'm trying to take the game as casually as I possibly can and tbh it's kind of working, but there's only so much that my own attitude can do. I can run the killer for 2 minutes straight but that doesn't mean my teammates will do anything. Playing killer isn't too bad but I'm genuinely at a point where It's hard for me to justify starting the game up. I could be playing Earthbound, Hades, Celeste, Fire Emblem, RE2/3, VR games, Donkey Kong, Silent Hill 2. Hell, I could be watching the movies that half of the characters come from and I'd still be having a better time than playing this game.
I think the worst part of it is the fact that all of these cross-over characters are from objectively better media (well except Freddy).
-
I'm hoping for a handful of perk changes but I'm probably expecting too much. The PTB was just a new killer and survivor after all.
-
I think I went up against a possible cheater the other day but I'm not sure if it was a cheat or a glitch. The end game results said that the survivor we had left behind in phase 2 had escaped the trial...
-
Maybe they had a really bad game and needed somewhere to vent? I really don't know why they would otherwise.
-

If BT were to become basekit, what will happen to BT as the perk that Bill currently has? Will Bill just get a completely new perk or will BT from him just have stronger effects then basekit BT? This has been bothering me for a while and any speculations would be nice to come up with.
Maybe if you're healthy the unhooked survivor switches health states with you. Doesn't sound all that good now that I type it out though.
-
That's it! I'm uninstalling until Dstorv comes back to the game! This game is totally meaningless if they're not playing.

It's not his fault it's BHVRs fault for starters they don't have ANY warnings about flashing lights as a BASIC warning for those who are affected by those. There are plenty of games out there that don't have to put those warnings in because they don't use flashing lights that could cause seizers. But saying it's irresponsible of his cousin is a low blow that isn't.
Also there are those that never once had signs of being vulnerable to seizers and had no idea until it acthappens.
I recommend reading the thread before replying to day + old comments.
Didn't read your post and I'm not going to read your replies.

Please tell me also your reasons why yes / no, etc.
YES!
I watched the movie a few days ago in order to properly gauge my excitement! I'm happy to say that it was a fantastic movie and I'm very happy to see this character make it into the game.

But think of how happy us Halloween fans will be if they bring it back more balanced and with more visual references to the movies.
Imagine if it actually resembled the movie <3
-
As a big fan of the first Halloween movie I am distraught over its disappearance.

IDK, once they're injured it's not like anything changes.
