Nice, she’s one of the survivors I use lmao she’s cool
I'm a huge Silent Hill fan so I just HAD to get her when she released!

Would you change your picture to Cybil if they made it available?

It reminds me of a news story from a few months ago where a man bought a peanut butter milkshake w/ no nuts and it ended up triggering his son's peanut allergy when he brought it home. The issue there was that the food service employee was careless enough to put nuts in it anyway. IMO the employee was squarely to blame as I know they are SUPPOSED (key word there) to undergo serious training for this situation. The news tried to make it out as though the father was at fault for buying it in the first place and I suppose that to an extent it was. However, despite the man's own personal responsibility the fault still lies on the company for messing up his order and putting him into a false sense of security. Well, that's my take anyway.
I guess from that perspective I can see where people are coming from. Behavior didn't really take the precautions necessary with this game despite (supposedly) having changed certain aspects of the Ringu chapter just for epileptics. With word buzzing around that they're trying to make the game more accessible to those with epileptic tendencies combined with a lack of a health and safety warning at the start - I think that responsibility lies more heavily on behavior for this one. They understand the business that they're in and have seemingly gone out of their way (whether it was intentional or not) to comfort and reassure those people with epileptic tendencies. I'm starting to believe there might be enough reasonable evidence for a lawsuit regarding situations similar to this one.
TLDR: Despite the nuance to this situation Behavior has given people a false sense of security.
-
I was going to type something like "people will instantly DC at the start if they don't like the map or killer" but they do that anyway. Honestly I don't understand why these people even play the game.
-
That sounds awful and I do hope they get rid of those macros. Thing is it was really irresponsible for your cousin to be playing games in the first place if they're that sensitive to these sort of triggers. I refuse to believe that a condition this severe could have gone unnoticed.
-
Because then your noed would be useless.
-
There are quite a few mechanics that should really be basekit at this point. Unfortunately I doubt the devs have any plans to make them a reality. Even the BT plans will probably go down the toilet.
-
I just assumed the map changes were due to characters with darker skin tones and clothing having a distinct advantage over other survivors.
-
Also give the option to leave when you're the last survivor without taking a penalty. I'm getting tired of bleeding out while the killer stares at me. Not even their fault half the time because the game is poorly made and allows them to do so.
-
Make his stalking meter regress a tad bit when at 99% so he can't just pop on someone or at the very least give a clear tell for when he's using them. Other than that they're fine.
-
Well if it's just for today I want infinite in game currency.
-
I'm playing it because Michael Myers chasing James Sunderland around the RPD is really cool.
-
I'd make him do a little prospector jig every time he gets a down.
-
You guys would literally die if you played TF2.
-
I'm always going back and forth on Plague. I think what it really comes down to is just how bad your team is and if they know how to handle her. It is definitely bs that she can completely shut down several survivor perks though. IMO some of them should get should activate/ have alternate uses upon being infected.
-
lmao imagine Dwight instructing Michaela on how to properly and efficiently use witchcraft.
-
It's probably because of the artist leak that Ringu was announced so early.
-
Sometimes this just happens and there's nothing you can do about it. It used to be whatever but now you're punished with lower quality matches as a result. I don't know why behavior thought mmr was fine this way.
-
To be fair he should never have appeared outside of the second game.
-
Resident Evil is the most popular IP they've crossed over with. Not to mention this is a video game for gamers and he's also from a video game that gamers play.
-
I only ever hit on hook because it's funny and sometimes in character.
-
The ability to see hook auras combos well with breakout and metal of man, I suppose.
-
What was the first golden age like? I didn't join until the Silent Hill chapter...
-
I'm voting for a mimic killer. It takes the form of some kind of deformed monstrous survivor and it uses an oversized industrial flashlight as its weapon.
OC donut steel.
-
I made a thread about this earlier. My idea was to grant players one token that would be consumed upon opening up or rummaging through one chest. That way you're guaranteed to get your green med-kit despite what your teammates have been doing.
-
I try my best not to take it personally and I manage to have some fun occasionally. I really enjoy mirror Myers on indoor maps!

Last time I used Camaraderie I was on the struggle phase for just 10s, before someone unhooked me with BT. What a waste of a perk slot :V
Jokes aside, I sometimes love running Camaraderie just to irk face camping killers who suddenly got to stay around that much longer, while another gen pop.
Camaraderie has to be one of the most underappreciated perks in the game. I've managed to get great value out of it the few times I've used it.
-
Pharmacy I guess. I love the idea of getting a free med-kit but your team can unintentionally screw you over by opening chests.
-
Someone should take that no bitches Megamind meme and make it Quentin/Ace saying "no chests".
-
I'd play as them more, but Victor is just so poorly implemented.
-Can't land on top of anything
-Survivors can kidnap him
-You can't willingly summon him back
-He can't stop someone from going through the exit gate if they're already injured (I think)
Admittedly I haven't played as them very much but it's for these reasons that I've been prioritizing learning Michael and Ghost Face instead. If they're so difficult to balance then I think they should rework them. Also, having them stand around is just weird and seems like a bit of a cop-out.
-
I like to inflict torment and then save it for the mori. I don't really bother with the cages unless it fits the context of the situation.

Anyone who is this tilted over the game needs to stop for the sake of their own well-being, tunneling or camping is really nothing and you shouldn't care about it.
This is cringe.
Sorry but the "us vs them" mentality is cringe.

The old ‘why are people jerks to me after I am a jerk to them’ question. Answer: you are not entitled to ruin someone else’s experience without them ruining yours.
Anyone who is this tilted over the game needs to stop playing for the sake of their own well-being. This is projecting at its finest.
Edit - This thread is cringe. I can't take any of these justifications seriously. It's like you guys are actively trying to look for reasons to spite your opponents and I'm not talking about the OP's easily avoidable perks.

@Aurelle said:
The Swarm literally does nothing and very rarely can you injured a survivor with it. So why not make it actually do something? Survivors shouldn't be able to leave through the exit gates when swarmed with Crows.
This has to be bait. Artist can guarantee a hit in most situations even if her opponent doesn't have a murder swarming them.

It's a good game, but it will never be a great game until they fix many of its long standing issues.

More Silent Hill
Less Problems
(also please give us Henry or that chick he was watching through that hole in his wall plz & thx)
-
Thank goodness I wasn't the only one. I legit thought the TTV streamers just up and rage quit on me in a winnable match.

So I finally hit rock bottom survivor MMR it seems. I play very altruistic in solo q. I try to get my team out even though it means I usually don't get out. At first when the new MMR rolled out, i didn't notice an impact. My solo q teammates still played well. But the past few weeks, nope. B/c i die more often than not now I get matched with new players. Last night the final few matches i played had brand new players in the game. They were too afraid of the terror radius so they hid all game while I was chased and 1-hooked. Not even camped.
I get it, new players do this. I did the same when i was new. But that was in the old system. I was paired with other new players. It made more sense.
How can the devs think this is a good match making system? I have over 2k hours in the game. There is no reason I should be paired up with other players with almost no time in game. While I do want to escape, it was never the win condition for me. Escaping still isn't my win condition. But the quality of this match making I'm in now is horrible.
So now i'm faced with a choice; continue with my playstyle of being a team player & get 1-hooked each match while i watch my teammates hide or play for myself and forget my team. Bring a hatch perk each game with a key to make sure i get that hatch escape. Team be damned. Easy choice really. Bye bye altruism
I'm in this exact same boat. i want to save my teammates but the mmr system punishes us too harshly for that.
De-pip? Who cares?
Worse teammates and overall lower quality matches? That's just a kick in the teeth.
-
They could allow for this if they brought in bots.

I honestly bail on people all the time...some of my reasons are very petty, haha.
There are times when you should bail, though, as you're just feeding if you don't - knowing when to do this IS a skilled play.
If I'm by the gate and NOED activates a bit away from me, I'll 99 and try to find the totem in the immediate area...no totem, I'm dipping.
What you said is true, but winning in this game can feel so hollow. I'd rather go for the trade than the escape which is something I can no longer do.
-
It comes up occasionally, but it's not like every killer uses it. I used to look everywhere I could for the totems and if I couldn't find it I would try and trade if I had bt. Unfortunately the new mmr system punishes me for making trades during end game so there's nothing I can do for them anymore. If I go for the trade I'll be punished with worse teammates and the person I saved is rewarded for making a "skilled play."

I play both sides. Hell i admit i get toxic in middle of the game. Not ever gonna deny it. And youre right. Some loops are just so braindead is frustraiting. For example the stupid truck loop that is so short but yet a killer can barely catch up. Its pretty dumb. Its essentially running a circle around a truck. Scary movie did something like that.
Now i played 3k hours. 1k of which was on console. Horrible experience really. Dont recommend. Esp not playing killer. Mnk is better. Besides the point and off topic.
Both sides are toxic.

I mean there is that to counter your argument about killers think everything survs do is op toxic and etc. I mean i have a screen shot of people mad i camped a gen. yep. A gen. So no. Killers are entitled but survivors take it to another level in my 3k hours. A good 2k of it is playing killer.
*looks at image*
Yeah... kinda cringe... I'm glad that I don't engage with these people.

I agree they do need improvements. I myself play Nemesis a ton and wish I had more agency over what my zombie minions are doing. But this just feels... I dunno, cheap? Some times, not very often I'll admit, I'll get random injures or even downs out of nowhere because some unfortunate soul ran into a zombie that problably gave no indication it was there in the first place. That is of course if I'm playing in an indoor map which is where this issue really stands out, there ARE dummies that just run into zombies in the open and I have no sympathy for them. Personally I don't feel very good when this happens. Like, yay, I got a down... Except I did absolutely nothing for it. Do you get where I'm coming from? There are improvements they can make to the AI that would make this simple of a sound fix not look like a major nerf.
I wouldn't call the zombies cheap at all. They're the reason as to why his power is so weak to begin with. Not only that but survivors are only getting injured by zombies when they either refuse to vaccinate or use up the vaccines too quickly. Nemisis is intended to cut off survivors and push them closer towards zombies which is something that a non-infected survivor can take advantage of. I've managed to take hits from zombies just to extend chases and even catch up to teammates for a protection hits on multiple occasions.
The only real issue I have with his zombies are when they camp gens but even that can be countered with a flashlight. If you stun them in just the right spot you can also cut off Nem in indoor maps. I'd say they're a double-edged sword to say the least.
-
As someone who normally plays solo survivor I feel like DS is a bit overrated. I only ever use it for tomes and if I think my build will get me tunneled. I recommend Windows of Opportunity and Kindred before making a habit out of relying on DS or Unbreakable. BT is always a solid choice though.
-
Same thing happened to me. Seems to be fixed now though.

More or less It's on you, hehe.
Read that laugh in the death slinger's voice for some reason.
Not disappointed.

One thing that I don't like about MMR is that I'm punished for saving during end game. I just want to have a little bit of fun so the game decides that I should now be paired with worse teammates.
