But thats the same thing that SB, Lithe and BL does/can do. You just change the trigger. You can 99 exhaustion on SB, vault/drop down right after dropping a pallet. The effect would be the same as that pallet perk.
Eh true

Its the same as all exhaustion perks, so it wouldnt be OP. If anything, it could be too weak, because there is limited amount of pallets
Being able to throw down the pallet then get that speed boost would give way too much distance for the survivor. Even if the killer decides to not break it and go around the loop

A perk I've always thought about would be an exhaustion perk that gives you Sprint burst when you throw down a pallet. Might come in handy
I had this as an idea as well a while ago, this is the whole description.
Safe and sound
The feeling of safety gives you hope, when you throw down a pallet gain a %150 speed boost for 3 seconds. This will then give you the exhausted status for 60/50/40 seconds
Though this perk may be a bit too strong imo

Nearly all of the Clown mains I've talked to say that he's horrible.
Here's a video where Clown main Techy goes over the heavy flaws he has. Techy doesn't really play the game much anymore but at the time he had hundreds of hours on Clown.
@Onyx_Blue said:
@ClickyClicky Clown has very strong chase pressure. Thus that's his style of map pressure. If you dominate chases, you can easily throw your presence around. People wanna heal vs intimidating chasers. The more they heal the less time gens are being repaired. And when they are done, they are so at the expense of staying injured vs a killer whom finds it very easy to get hits.
Clown is nowhere near as weak as people say he is. You just need to learn his unique strengths and apply his power in the best way to uncover it
Clown has no chase pressure, he slows down when he throws his bottles which if he hits survivors doesn't even let him gain distance on the survivors cause of that slowdown. Bottles can't be used on loops only against bad survivors if they actually try to loop it instead of just throwing down the pallet, even then you can still easily loop as survivor against clown cause of the first fact

Granted yes but of course theyd have to be infrequent to avoid having millions of bp but for shards those outta be maybe a every 6 months? Frequent enough to be less of a grin to unlock killers but enough to be bearable
I get it's annoying to grind but they make it like that so it encourages people to want to buy their product and make money. If I were BHVR I would never give away killers n survivors for free, only some like how they did
-
I have death garden on PC which I bought but I play DbD on PS4... I want my skin :((((
-
I like all of this but the whole free killer and survivor thing, if we were to get more dbp events and double shard events we wouldn't have to work as hard to get the killers and survivors we want
-
@mouse0270 said:
I've got no problem when killers slug for those reasons... but slugging to stop someone for getting hatch is just being a sweaty try hard for a 4k.
If you're slugging because there isn't a hook near by or the survivors are playing in a manner that you have to such as sabo squads, then yeah, slug away.
Really the only time I ever complain or hear people complain is when you slug for a 4k having no idea where the last survivor is located.
Nah, if I want to double pip and not have it rely on stupid rng if I do or not I'm gonna slug. If you don't get the 4k at high rank you don't double pip which is #########

This is kinda weird, I think it's a bug

Wait wait wait, I thought pinhead but when someone said Cujo I looked at the vid again and if you look around the chain it's on dirt with gravel (outside ground) and the chain looks like it's attached to one of those screw things you can out in the ground to attach a dog chain to, also the lighting looks like a single light coming from a white porch light. I bet it's Cujo just because of that

It's going out of your way to ruin another's game. It SHOULD be penalised severely. Same with tunnelling.
It really shouldn't because though it's a bad strategy (camping) sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do as killer to secure a kill, especially tunneling. Tunneling isnt bad at all cause you are still giving the survivor a chance to run away and if their teammates are good at gens they will escape
-

I don't like it along with Windows of Opportunity. It's more distracting auras in a game where you need to focus.
It's really not that distracting, it's always good to have more information about the area. Also it's only used in chase which is not that hard to get distracted

Sounds good but not sure about Brutal Strength. You can cancel pallet vaults with the shock
Good survivors will always try to throw down the pallet immediately against the doctor, so if you can't get the shock in cause you aren't in range or you mess up brutal strength is there to get rid of that pallet quick

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/129103/love-the-addition-of-the-dc-penalty
And the people who love it are the toxic players who abuse the rules in the first place. they then disguise it by saying "well as killer I can..." Like being a bad sport during game is made up by saying GG at the end. Their also the same people who complain about losing Ruin, and wanting survivor perks like DS and HO nerfed out of existence. the game rewards the toxic players and punishes the rest.
There are no rules to dbd as long as it isn't trolling, farming, hacking, taking the game hostage etc. There are ZERO rules against nodding your head as killer or teabagging as ghost face

And with that, I'm sure you will being getting a warning shortly. You haven't added anything, you're here trolling. I bet with the way you act here, you act similarly in game as well. You are the type of killer NO ONE wants to play with.
@Peanits - This is the reason why people are annoyed with being double punished. If you are going to force people to play and not disconnect, then you need to lock down usernames and make all players known to each other before the match starts. Otherwise, survivors are going to continue to kill themselves on hook, or disconnect, and eventually leave.
All I said was that you should just ######### on hook if you wanna leave that bad, what is your problem? I've literally done nothing wrong
-
Well what about the first archive where it talked about the alchemist, that siren like person which could be a new killer and then that cult for the entity. The cult could be part of the meaning of these tokens

@Kenidur said:

And there is that entitled arguement that pathetic killers always accuse survivors of having. If I felt you were absolute garbage the first time, why should I even be forced to play you again? I shouldn't be forced to give a pathetic killer his points for his toxicity by killing myself on the hook. He hasn't earned it, he only ruines the game, and I and others are forced to deal with him. That is the issue that should have been addressed. Instead they handed killers a reward for their toxic, game destroying behavior.
So you are saying that when the killer downs you he doesn't deserve hook points even though he or she got you? Doesn't make sense does it

I would only see them still using The Alchemist for him if he actively changed back and forth during the game. Otherwise I don't see it as making sense.
An alchemist is a person that creates and uses potions to gain powers, I would think he would be human throughout the trial and use potions to gain abilities such as the serum injection to turn himself into a beast mid game. Your suggestion would make sense if he were the beast the whole game though so I see where you are coming from, in my opinion the alchemist sounds way cooler though
-
😂😂😂😂😂 WTFFF THIS GAME IS VERY BALANCED

- No more aruaras or scratch marks
- Mandatory 1st person POV for survivors
- Darker lighting
- Weather changes

- Less 2nd chances for survivors and more power to killers
Dbd is currently treated as an E-sports festival by most survivors thanks to the way the game is designed. Killer has to be sweaty in order to even have a chance to pip against good survivors. At this point I don't think dbd could ever truly be a horror game. It can be horror-themed, but not an actual horror game like Silent Hill.
Maybe if scratch marks were removed maybe slightly highlighted foot prints? Would make it feel like you are a tracker as killer than seeing some red ######### pasted everywhere
-
As amazing of an idea this is it won't ever happen
-
@Kenidur said:
Well, here's your killer buff you all have been complaining about. You can now be as toxic as you want to survivors and they have no choice but to deal with an absolutely horrid round you've made it, or deal with constantly increasing queue times. Talk about throwing a bandaid on a gaping wound, this does not address the reason for the disconnects,only punishes you for doing so.
Just ######### on the hook then if it's so toxic and unbearable while three gens pop 😂
-
People who say that the survivors will just kill themselves on hook, well obviously but at least the killer will still get their bp and kill from it and for survivors they don't have to deal with the insta DC giving them more time to do objectives while the killer goes and hooks the survivor
-
If you wanna not get insta downed by Billy play smart and get off that gen for 10 seconds to get to a very close by loop when you hear his chainsaw, just in case he comes to you (do this especially after he hooks someone cuz BBQ) and if he comes, loop that loop until he gets too close then slam that pallet down. He can't get you with his chainsaw unless he mind games you (which takes skill) or you don't hug the walls while looping and he's good at curving. If he breaks the pallet with his chainsaw you can get to another loop easily as long as you didn't wait at the pallet when he was readying his chainsaw to break it.
If he chases you down with his chainsaw after breaking the pallet don't run straight forward like an idiot.
Remember survivors, a good Billy will always want the chainsaw over the M1 so he will respect pallets like crazy. After he respects the pallet like 2 times after looping he's most likely not respect it next loop so throw it down.
Really easy to counter in my opinion
-
I personally don't mind exhaustion perks, I kinda like to think of them as abilities for survivors

MORE WORK FOR THE KILLER????
Thumb down.
It's barely any work, you just look at a totem from a far distance and press a button. Also it would heavily benefit the killer because you get to choose when you want your perk to activate and where you want to hide it, picking points where you either are going to be able to pressure a lot would be a good spot or in a spot where survivors will not check at all. Yes it takes 2 seconds to look at but the benefits of those two seconds wasted would be massive
-
I wanna die with Haddon field, I hate this map for killer aswell
-
Bro it's so easy to counter, I actually like it when survivors do this cuz it gives me a free hit or hook. It's good against new players

Yeah but you could always toss down a haunted ground to keep things spicy.
Truedat, would be hilarious making it obvious you placed the hex on that totem so the survivor thinks they are smart and then just screw em over,
-
@rhodamia said:
Could make for some interesting gameplay.
Hook a survivor, put devour right next to them (or haunted ground to mess with their heads).
And run off and put TOTH somewhere else. Now you get a stack when someone gets pulled off and a notification if they try to cleanse first. Kinda guarantees a stack on Devour.
ADDED BONUS. You know which totems to defend more aggressively. Good concept. Haven't come up with a way to abuse it yet. But. I'm sure someone will. Lol
Swf could probably abuse it sadly, have one person follow the killer where ever they go while two others do gens and one gets chased

I clicked on the "Mod" tag and @drimmalor made it look like you said killers should be able to manually light totems.
Therefore, I responded to drimmalor's comment saying, "why make lighting totems a close range action?". Then, I was confused because you already said that in your original post. I don't know why drimmalor implied you wanted lighting totems a close ranged action, maybe drimmalor didn't have a lot of time and skimmed through your post. 😁
Oh okay no problem

Some killers are getting higher than an average of 70% kill rate per games. If gens are made to take longer or a second objective is added they'd have to balance by nerfing all killers across the board... The only thing I can think is to have gens progress faster the fewer that remain - this was its not overly daunting when a survivor dies as you'd have ~2 gens done by then. But I dont know how that would work with the DCing epidemic...
Yeah 70% in the lower ranks, all gens can pop in under 3 minutes if the survivors know what they are doing
-
@NMCKE said:

Great point, but to play Devil's Advocate:
What if you was given the ability to look at totems from a distance and use a hotkey to light the totem from a safe distance?
I literally said this 2 times now but you worded it differently
-
@drimmalor said:
Manually placing hexes has two major problems:
- It wastes time. You need to set up the perk to get its effect, and then you aren't chasing survivors.
- It reveals where the totems are. Survivors could locate where killers are early into the game and find out where they're placing totems. This problem is made worse with perks like Object of Obsession, as well.
I tend to play like I don't have any Hexes early on. If they find it, they find it. Later in the game, if I know they've found it, I either decide to let it go to maintain pressure or guard it if they seem to be around it constantly.
It doesn't really waste too much time as you just need to look in the direction of the totem from a 20 m range through any kind of wall to place, and there is no visual cue for survivors to look at so they will have to guess
-
@Steamtastic_Vagabond said:

I actually like this idea. But I believe that we also shouldn't know which one is dh,ruin,third seal ECT.
And what about noed and haunted grounds?
NOED can be placed on totems after the last gen is powered and haunted grounds could be automatically placed? But maybe near the killer when they spawn
-
@Eleghost said:
I think the dev's have stated this would be kind of annoying to implement and tedious to do as a killer with how little time you already have to kill people. They have said they would rather adjust totem spots.
Or they could nerf gen speeds or give survivor a second objective
