Honestly it’s not even with David, it always happens when I load in at the same time with other people.

Or when my P3 Dwight shows up in rank 20-19 since I just recently started to play again.

    SIGH.

What, you don't have Where's Dwighty? Waldwight best Dwight.

  • I really hope Struggle doesn't change to skill checks, that would negate part of the reason for the change. You're doing nothing, waiting to get back into the game by the grace of your teammates in relation to the killer. You want to watch the game, see where people are and what's being done, and scratch that itch on your arm that you couldn't while you were running from the killer. You don't want to stay glued to the screen, listening for skill checks while the heartbeat goes off on your ears and you're trying to figure out where the exit gates are.

Please please just remove the struggle and make it a button to hold if you want to give up. Let us hang there in peace!

  • I prefer if the Killer can somehow trigger the EGC after a certain time.

  • I desperately want these motions out of the game. Don't make it a skill check, or a button hold, just remove it entirely. If I want to "Give Up" and let myself die on the hook, I can hold the button to fill a meter, same as attempting escape. I shouldn't have to hold any button unless I'm opening, repairing, cleansing, healing, or sabotaging.

Not to mention on a controller you can't pan the camera around unless you awkwardly use two hands and worry about bumping your finger to stop the mashing process, killing yourself accidentally.

  • I'd like a leaky underwater base, or like something from Bioshock with Big Daddy killer and adult Eleanor survivor. A classic spooky graveyard or haunted house would be really awesome, though.

  • Yeah, it goes really well with me too. It's kind of sad when survivors go out of their way to genuinely thank you for not camping, since for much of their playtime they're just watching a killer ping back and forth in front of the hook, or in circles. They really appreciate when you make sure everyone has a good time, win or lose.

And isn't that what games are all about?

  • Mathematically, it's faster for each survivor to repair a separate gen at the same time, than it is for them to group up on a gen. Four survivors doing four gens can have four completed in the time for just one gen. With a crew of three running around one by one, it takes longer, especially when you factor in the run time to next gen. I always try to find my own gen.

I recently started toying with Legion, and for those who don't play Killer or tried Discordance, it's better than you think. The perk says that a 2+ gen lights up, but it causes continuous explosions, as if a survivor is getting a skillcheck every three seconds and failing it. You know right away when two or more are working together without even panning around to see.

I like the long games myself. The ones where people are all stealthy, and you have time to wander around and seek totems, go for unhooks after the killer has gone far away, and go heal people. The new meta is kind of lousy for everyone. I often reach struggle on first hook because no one comes to save. No one lets me heal, even when I'm using heal perks. Everyone injured but we're not good enough to play with No Mither.

Killers hate the gen focus and I hate letting team down when I get caught easy. More objectives would help, but in a way where strong killers don't become outrageously powerful. A good Nurse can shut a team down really fast, even if they aren't going for saves like fish at feeding time. It is very difficult to balance a game like this, but it is an amazing game with huge potential so we all want to see it do well. I would suggest something with totems, but there are a lot of possibilities. I think starting to allow Hex perks to swap to an unused totem would help, as well as perhaps hidden objectives or perhaps Killer offering that adds Entity webbing to a match. Certain lockers, windows, etc. are blocked and if you find one you have to take time to tear it out, like cleansing Demo's portals. Once done, you can now use them normally, but this gives Killer a stronger start to prevent the early rush. Should I post in the Suggestion forum?

  • What would you all suggest to prevent tunneling instead? I see that good players use it as 1min immunity but many of us are not on that level. I don't even run the perk, but I do enjoy having something to help protect me from such behavior. It's only a minute after a hook. If I'm getting farmed or am just having an off game, I don't want to go to a hook immediately after getting off.

  • I also lose my offering if the game spawns with less people and ends immediately. I thought they stopped that, but maybe it was only for the item you carry. I lost a cake the other day.

  • While a lot can happen in a minute, that's still pretty close to be chased after an unhook. There are other targets, and even gens that need kicking. DS already has conditions to activate and counters. Don't pull them from a locker if you're afraid of a stun, although it's better to eat it early than save it for the end game where they can safely unhook their camped teammates. It's supposed to stop someone from being re-hooked within a minute, which I feel is a fair perk and also takes up a slot.

  • These seem like really strong changes. He already has move speed bonus when cloaked, making it impossible to escape if he knows where you are. If you couldn't see even the shimmer approach, you would never get away, and he still has a post-cloak lunge that helps him a great deal. Without even the bell ringing to signal his appearance next to you, he would get free hits all day. This killer would be outrageously powerful, and most players likely wouldn't be able to survive. Speaking for myself, I know I wouldn't. It would be interesting to see R1 players trying this out and seeing how they do.

  • I see Wraith do very well in the games I encounter him. He can catch you off-guard even when you see a shimmer with his lunge, and immediately cloak. Now there's nothing you can do to get away, pallets or windows only slow him down briefly. He just uncloaks rubbing against you, lunges again, and you're down. You escape if he's busy with other people or he remains uncloaked. His perks are amazing for chasing down, with blood and marks, so he can cloak and find you easier. I think he's underrated, at least, and I enjoy playing him, he was my first on this platform to unlock perks for.

Also, much like other killers that may need some help, you often encounter him with strong add-ons that hasten his appearance, negate his TR, or reduce his bell sound, making it even more important to see that shimmer once you know it's a Wraith. I'm not great at chases and apparently my teammates aren't either, so there's usually only one or two survivors that can escape, unless we're all up at endgame where we can take hits for each other to the gate. It's still an exciting game for me when I encounter a killer I have trouble with and find myself in a simulated horror movie.

  • I'm sorry you're having a bad experience. I get that too, a lot. It's easy (on console) to reach red ranks, where I honestly don't belong. My points come from generators, rescues, and healing. I can't last over a minute to a killer (my recent record is outlasting Myers' T3, which I'm very proud of). Unfortunately, a lot of dirty tactics work for killers and survivors in this game, so you encounter them more often when people are at high ranks trying harder to win.

It seems you're above-average as a survivor, and you suspect your fellow sacrificed teammates are ratting you out to the killer. That's a dirty move in any capacity and unfair to have to put up with such pettiness. Within the confines of the game, there's little you can do against a killer who can't be stopped, moves faster than you, and on top of that knows where you are with outside help. That sounds frustrating indeed, but rest easy in the knowledge that they wouldn't have had you otherwise, and the next game should be a different experience, win or lose.

All we can do is keep playing to the best of our ability, learning to avoid mistakes, and having fun in a game we enjoy. There will be bad games mixed in, where you die early or to circumstances outside your control, but those are momentary frustrations and there's always another match to try again. Try not to let those bad experiences ruin all of your fun, as there's still plenty of good moments you will have in the game!

  • New Totem tunnels: small alleys off the map that require survivors to power through spider webs (or vines, or ropes, or whatever else) to get to the totem and cleanse it. Doing totems takes extra time, and puts the survivor at slight risk. I don't know if I like the idea, but there it is. Maybe someone can improve it.

  • Can Feng get a Blight outfit? Or something fancy like Meg's hiker outfit, Dwight's pizza outfit, Ace's pilot, etc... she has nothing (and that tournament set coming next isn't remotely comparable). Even Kate got a full ice climber outfit, but Feng has nothing. I'd say Nea too, but she got that skater set, it's good. I like the ones that are really different, not just new clothes or different hair.

Can the Survivors dress up for Halloween? I would love to see Feng as a drowned ghost girl, long hair over half her face and all, like the girl from The Ring or The Grudge. Or maybe they can dress up like the Killers' default outfits!

  • HAHAHAH yes, I want him as the survivor! But I'll take the big pumpkin if that's all we can get. He's a cool guy I'm sure he'd allow his likeness.

  • Pumpkinhead says hello. And goodbye.

  • I use it, but I also get spotted most of the time.

  • I don't know how

    I don't know when;

    Please oh Please

I went in with Empathy, Borrowed Time, We'll Make It, and something else. I was a savior machine, making hook saves, healing people, taking hits...

I finally get hooked for the first time, and a Jane comes up and farms me off the hook, getting me immediately killed.

Keep fighting the good fight! <3

  • Yeah, but that's what makes Unbreakable such a choice perk.

  • Head On would be useless, and I think the Doctor's passive is because you're 'safe' inside a locker, holding out and waiting for him to pass. You're resting and not being chased, so the madness doesn't affect you. I know it would be scary, but I think this would be too strong and not very pleasant for most survivors. Although I assume you would be able to hear the footsteps no matter who it is, and see them in your line of sight.

  • Can survivors hear the footsteps of killers already? When I'm playing killer all I can hear are my own feet, especially Ghost Face. But they can all sneak up if the TR isn't playing due to perks or powers.

  • I've never seen it since the rework, on either side. It was a neat idea if you could limit certain perks to just one (so you can't stack so many extra chances) but the way it is now there's no point. I mean, there is, but there are sooo many better, more useful or even just convenient perks to take over this. I like Kindred and maybe Small Game to help out the team, or even Deja Vu to protect against 3-gen strat, more useful than trying to get MoM to activate under specific conditions.

  • I can't find the DBD official game, but on the GP store there's "Dead Before Daylight" which is an identical clone to DBD, including an addon called Stranger Attack with the same font/style as the Stranger Things logo, and if you check screenshots there's a killer identical to the Trapper.

There doesn't have to be exactly 50/50 men and women lol.

No, but if we're getting a Teacher, I want it to be female.

And her power is to give spankings.

The Librarian should also be a woman, in glasses. I'll see myself out now.

  • Guess what's re-downloading right now =D

Oh and I still have to finish the other characters in Pre-Sequel. Yeah... I know.

I'm in the same boat. BL3 will be getting my attention for a good week or so.. Stranger Things release or not

A week? Did I read that right? I still play BL2 to this day.

Came here to post this! <= it's also in my profile

  • How about a minor buff to Deliverance in which, like Kindred, it somehow alerts your team to the fact you have Deliverance and will appreciate if they pull the killer elsewhere.

  • It looks like the removal of the struggle event, in which case you can still attempt to free yourself, but without perks. The drawback of not using Deliverance would mean you could escape every time, yet permanently become Broken, preventing heals to full health.

  • You didn't think he bagged groceries forever, did you?

  • I see memes, I click.

  • Boo to timed cosmetics. I'm willing to pay for things I like and want, or even just to support a company I enjoy, but I don't always have money right now to do it. I have to pay rent on pennies, and after that I have to feed myself somehow.

  • I think it's supposed to be like that, so the killer doesn't know if you're close to escaping. It's already a QoL concept for realism, or at least the survivors. The killers aren't in charge of the realm, they don't have psychic knowledge about every detail.

  • @Carpemortum said:

Who cares about his perks. Its Ashley J William's.

I'd have paid $20 for him with no perks ....

This 100% Also, anything that makes Buckle Up not the absolute most pathetic perk would be great. I mean I use Deja-Vu. I don't use Buckle Up.

  • Running Obsession perks as a survivor is a risk in that the killer could be using a number of Obs. perks, and now you're going to feel the brunt of it. The fact most killers don't run them at all is only a coincidence.

If the killer has no Obs. perks, nothing is lost. It adds a little icon in the info bar, that's all. Maybe the killer is just personally obsessed with that survivor, and will feel grim satisfaction when they're sacrificed. Maybe the player puts themselves into the role of the killer and decides that if the killer wants that person, they'll try to get them more than others. Think of it as adding a little flavor to the game rather than a gameplay mechanic.

  • Pumpkinhead w/ Lance Henrikson for all three answers.

    Maybe something from Silent Hill.

Fatal Frame 1's boss and character?

  • There are teams in red ranks that get destroyed by killers too, so not all games are like that with the killer getting rushed. Pair that with the fact it is easy to get red ranks and realize a game like this is very difficult to balance and create for.

  • As far as we know, Technician doesn't do what it's supposed to, and reduce the range at which the killer can hear the repairs. In fact, recent tests from PainRelievers shows it actually makes them louder, the opposite of its intended purpose.

  • *Also if someone responds can we get Technician fixed? :3

I'm one of them! I just want it to be 10% instead of 9%

please it's been bugging me for years

Same here! My favorite number is 10 and I love nice, even numbers. The 9% has been driving me crazy!

  • Please return your signed consent forms prior to starting the match. Non-approved Survivors will not be allowed to ride the Hook and visit The Entity.

  • I still have mixed feelings about Ghostface, overall I like him and his power is okay but there are definitely some issues, even as I am a survivor main. He can stealth so you don't know he's coming, and he can make anyone exposed any time he wants (well, most of the time, not limited like MM). Both of those things I hate, and he as them both in his base kit.

Also, playing as GF a few matches it's clear the game doesn't really know what 'looking at' him is. There are times when I'm stealthed and running at someone directly, no objects between us, person is clearly staring in my direction the entire time, yet my power isn't cancelled. I've also experienced this from the victim side. This mechanic needs to be worked on so it feels like it should.

Also I don't know if it's been asked yet but are hooked victims supposed to cancel his power? I understand why downed players might be able to spot but the hook, too?

  • I have no other choice! I'm so glad someone tried console from PC and knows our suffering. And I'm on an original Slim model, none of that Pro nonsense. It can be bad. It's not the roughest game, but it's certainly not the smoothest. Anytime something significant happens (a hit, Exposed, etc) the game seizes and can interrupt what you were doing, causing you to run into a wall instead of a window, or miss a pallet throw...

Lately, it seems like the survivor is huge, like the camera has been pulled closer. It's hard to see where I'm going. I used David for a daily and I couldn't see around his body. I also just bought Adam and his coat blocks sight too. Was it always this bad? I've been playing off and on since console release, and I don't remember it being this restrictive.

  • I think he's great even without a build, in that he can surprise you (even if you see the shimmer, you still have to get to safety versus his cloak speed + incredi-lunge), plus you can just cloak after the hit and there's nothing the survivor can do. They simply can't get away, allowing you to decloak and nail them again through a window or around a pallet. I've seen him do well in games lately.

I've camped out 4k's for maybe 14 of the 16 games I played on Xbox today, got tons of hate messages for it. When ruin is dead in the first 30 seconds of the game and by the time I down someone the first gen is done? Yeah, it's camping time. It's literally the only strategy at red ranks that I can think if you want 4ks. Maybe play nurse or spirit but nah, even I won't stoop that low.

At the start of the game, all the pallets are up, so it takes some time to get the first guy, unless they mess up or depending on killer/powers. Swapping targets means the others won't know which pallets are still up so you have a somewhat easier time. I know I go down fast at the end of the game when I run all around and can't find pallets, especially in the wide-open maps like Shelter Woods or corn fields.
