Noed makes sense. If you're forcing the survivors to heal a lot, they're not gonna have time to cleanse totems (or they will and it'll give you more time to kill them before the gates open)

Some killers should focus on getting better instead of camping a survivor that humiliated them. Camping isn't going to improve your chase.
If the gates are open it'd be dumb to not camp. And yeah it's good to improve but pissing someone off and then lecturing them on what they did wrong postgame is never gonna have a positive response.
-
That'd be an absolute terrible mechanic. Sprint Burst only gives you a temporary head start against the killer, if you lost the ability to run from it it'd literally make escaping impossible.
-
Honestly? Stealth. If you know it's a hillbilly you should be prepared for BBQ and ready to hop in a locker at a moment's notice. Otherwise keep track of pallets if you can and try to tell when he has Spirit Fury ready.
-
I'm glad we're getting original killers. They generally seem more creative and interesting than franchised ones. Especially with Plague recently who I think is the most original killer we've gotten.
-
I tend to use Bond and generally if I crouch next to someone while injured they'll stop and heal me.
-
Whispers and Discordance are really good for that.
-
Don't think I've even considered my shards in months actually. I probably have enough for the new chapter when it drops
-
I can't imagine playing Trapper for a LESS frustrating game tbh.

or they could just put 2 more pallets in every map and that would be it lmao 🙄 like on the game are there many pallets ? no
There's a decent amount, and a lot of windows, drops and areas to break line of sight. It's a tradeoff. Besides thats one map and arguably the most killer oriented one. Compare that to something like Blood Lodge or Azarovs Resting Place which have tons of pallets.

well thats ur opinion but i dont think that u are that good too so ... ._.
I haven't made any complaints about playing survivor though. Everything you've complained about seems to come back to you needing to improve instead of the game being made easier to accomodate you.
-
I'd put her at an A.

i loop every game but yeah i should learn the game after 1981 hours 😓
Well you don't sound like you play very well...

@Tizianoooo said:
no its just when they updated to the new engine they started to be different its not like they could add stuff for us to play with the killer but removing more pallets like ######### why ??
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/356034#Comment_356034
Cause maps had way too many pallets. Learn to loop them instead of using them as soon as you get to them
-
I mean afaik they haven't changed 360s so that's on you. Idk what you expect them to do about it
-
You can 360 the killer you just gotta practice. If you're having trouble finding pallets try Windows of Opportunity. The new DS will help against tunelling and that in conjunction with Deliverance can help with camping

I couldn't disagree more. A plague doctor is a doctor, and the Plague is a priestess, there is a huge difference between that. Besides, the power of infection through vomit isn't really plague doctor-like.
And yes, I know that at least is a cosmetic, but it's on a killer that I don't have and that I don't like to play neither, besides you'll have to pay for the skin so I couldn't be more upset about it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/355915#Comment_355915
Im sorry, what?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/355916#Comment_355916
How it would be basic? You said it like the plague doctor concept is something popular in games.
It is kinda common in games actually yeah. They took a somewhat cliche and basic concept, took some aspects, and spun it into a new creation; a being who's goal was to cure the sick and now spreads it instead.
-
It's not even that Legion is strong or people think it's funny to DC. They're straight up unfun to play against and enough people would rather leave than face them which becomes a problem of Legion's design over the problem of DCing. I know they're fun to play as but if a killer is that heavily hated and miserable to play against they need a rework and no amount of number tweaking is gonna help.
-
@xChrisx said:
Dont hook in front of the door and go away to patrolling (?)
If the gates are open and one person is on the hook there's really only one place the survivors are going and you'd be an idiot to leave.
-
Nearly every game mechanic works against him in some way or another. He really needs a full rework cause right now he's a joke.
-
I'm guessing the PTB will be up for maybe 2 weeks and then they'll release her shortly after. If I had to guess I'd say the 26th of March. If not then probably April 2nd.
-
Honestly a lot of other killers just require patience in learning to make work. If you want someone high tier that works well, try Hag. She's super versatile and really fun once you get the hang of her.
-
If they're all corrupted at once they'll all return to being clean
-
Honestly if the killer is breaking 8 chases and then 4 more after the pools are all corrupted, odds are they aren't gonna have much time to hook anyone after before they escape.

By permenantly sick I meant all fountains would be used up (due to a more limited amount available) meaning there's no way for them to cleanse themselves
When all fountains are corrupted they all automatically purify so that's still impossible
-
Unfortunately it's impossible to make someone sick permanently but you're right, those would make for much better add-ons
-
Yeah okay I rescind my comments, this is definitely a bit too much.
-
As far as I know anything directly linked to the terror radius is transferred.

It’s a tad bit bigger than Overcharge at Tier 1
Oh cool, that's an okay tradeoff. Make it more accessible to lower tiers
-
It sounds like it really lets you keep momentum as long as you're not playing like a jerk which I'm excited for. Did the skill check get easier or harder btw?

Puke, fallow till broken, one hit down..
. And dduuuuurrrr😲
Takes quite some time to get someone to broken.
-
Just by what we've seen so far I'd go Plague. Legion is a hot mess and honestly Plague has more fun perks and a less DC inducing power.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
I wonder if there's a correlation between people who complain about tHe MeTa and people who are dismissive when someone wants bad perks and items made decent? If No Mither was a perk worth using, it would mean more one hit downs. If broken keys and maps were decent it would mean slower gens and less flashlights and instaheals.
Listen I'm all here for bad perks getting buffed(like Thanatophobia) but No Mither is literally there for the sake of making things harder. Arguing about that is moot because they're not gonna change that. At most I've heard they want to get rid of the intense music you hear while injured from NM users but that's it.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
The fact that everybody here instantly dismisses this as a problem because No Mither is a joke kind of just proves my point. The solution is not to say "oh well LOL don't run No Mither." The solution is for the devs to make every perk, add on, killer, item, etc worthy of being used.
This is like when people ask for broken keys and maps to be buffed and 10 people jump in to say "JUST USE A TOOLBOX LOL"
It has a purpose worth using and that's enabling a higher difficulty. Just cause you don't find it worth running doesn't mean it isn't.
-
@brokedownpalace said:

No, because those perks directly counter each other? That's part of why they exist. Does No Mither need a counter?
No reason to change the subject.
If you're running No Mither you're running it to make things harder, plain and simple. That means you make grunts. That means you can be one shot. That means you afflict Thanatophobia by default if the killer has it. Deal with it. Besides, as has already been pointed out, it doesn't actually change the value from what it was before.
-

Not everything needs to be a "big" problem. Little would be changed if people didn't talk about the smaller issues, too. Irridescent hatchets are rare but that doesn't make them any less broken when you're unfortunate enough to run into them.
They also have a weakness. Like okay some perks are gonna make other perks less effective. Are you gonna complain that Hangman's Trick ruins Saboteur? That Predator ruins Lightweight? Streetwise and Overwhelming Presence?
-
I'd wait til after the PTB. It's day one dude they're gonna tweak before she goes live just be patient.

What do you mean what did I expect? I expect that the devs probably shouldn't create perks that force solo survivors, who are already at a disadvantage, to be further disadvantaged if their teammate(s) decide to run certain perks. Now it'll be even worse. At the very least they could have made it so the % decrease caused by survivors in Broken status only applies to that survivor. Imagine being teamed up with a 3 man SWF using No Mither against Thanatophobia? Might as well DC immediately.
No Mither is a poorly designed perk and it being dubbed as "hard mode" is a cop out.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Thanatophobia has been in the game longer than David so that's more on the fault of them making No Mither. I agree it sucks having someone with it on your team but considering it's not common AND it's even less common to encounter both perks, it just sounds like you're making a chicken out of a feather here. It's not that big of a problem dude.
-
It's sorta both? Less of a boost early on but at 5 gens it's 1% more. Really dumb change to an already worthless perk
EDIT: didn't realize it affected the other 2 as well but that makes sense.
-
First off what did you expect. Secondly you're already putting your team at a disadvantage by running No Mither, it's a perk just for challenging yourself. That means dealing with all the weaknesses associated with being injured.

Another killer created for survivors fun you mean?
Yeah no thanks, I wanna play a killer that is actually viable.
Of course I can still derank and then play her, but.... ya know I wish she was a competitive killer
Not every killer is gonna be top tier. That doesn't mean they're inherently bad though. Either practice with her to actually improve or quit whining and move on to a crutch killer.

We should have had the shapeshifter...
I'm glad we didn't. I'm honestly really content with this killer. I think people are just judging her harshly because they don't understand how to use her and that'll change I'm sure. She's not top tier but she seems comfortably mid tier and not nearly as terrible to play against as Legion is.

If the fountains didn't heal people in 5-6 seconds I would agree.
And then you get a notification and the ability to damage with puke. It's a trade off and it still wastes time cause they gotta find the fountain
-
@Eveline said:

So you find all survivors at once usually?
Pretty commonly find more than one. If you only find one deal with them as you usually would. Or barf and go look for someone else at other gens. Discordance can be useful for finding multiple survivors at once too.
-
Seems arbitrary
-
Puke on multiple Survivors then chase one. Others gotta go heal then. Pretty good means of slowing down the game.

No you're facing killers who were lucky. Survivors DC for all sorts of reasons. You can play well or play like an a-hole, if survivors don't DC then you are more likely to rank up.
But now it's harder to rank up, you lose points for camping and you need to get more hooks in general. It means red rank killers would have had to work harder to get there than before.
