  • Personally, I'm one to try any killer the devs release no matter how awful they are. For me the better question is who would you only play for a daily ritual (because for me that's as close to never as you can get with how willing I am to try and play every killer).

Going off of that, the answer is Blight, because I play mostly on console, Hillbilly, his mini nerf really messed with him so I don't like him much anymore, Hag, I find her really boring, and Deathslinger, same as Hag and for some reason I just can't aim for the life of me as Slinger and Huntress I'm like getting deadly shots.

@Ryan489x I believe the one who is dead on the floor is the guy who died in the final movie.

I'm pretty sure the guy in the bathroom has blonde hair, the guy who died in the final movie had dark hair (and an intact foot which the guy in the bathroom does not)

  • Hook placements are fine, you're probably just unlucky with where you're downing survivors.

  • Auto aim sucks. As we all know.

The other day I was playing Twins a lot.

First match: auto aim decided to swing straight through Nancy and hit the basement stairs (that were still because of where I was too far away for that to have been possible and I wasn't laggin)

Second match: auto aim continuously had me hit a wall on Lery's instead of the Feng and 2 others that were body blocking from my hex that they were breaking. I was not able to save my totem.

  • My only real thought on this is that the game would do this eventually no matter what sort of matchmaking system we have. I wouldn't mind mmr if they fixed the lop siding and this issue first. Then installed mmr. (Maybe lop siding would fix itself if they would put in a decent killer. We haven't seen one since Blight and even Blight takes practice)

  • I think it should be if it's a protection hit within 5 meters of the protected survivor it should count. Not the entire full 10 meters. If it were a smaller range but still a protection hit I think your idea could work. Just needs a few small tweaks to it.

  • For how strong she is if you know how to play her, she's pretty balanced right now. This would gut her so hard I don't even know if anyone would dare pick her up after that level a nerf.

  • I have head canons for the original non-novel sized lore characters. Seriously, the devs are getting so long with their lore it's kinda hard to make head canons anymore.

Unrelated but I love the name. That's hilarious.

  • Only because I don't main any one killer or survivor.

Free BP if you have them and don't spend shards on anything else.

That's honestly why I use the Shrine lmao

    in my Op

The biggest issue is how it interacts with other perks or how its use can be forced, for example you can be unhooked just do down and force the stun or unbreakable, or just jump in a locker and now the killer has to eat the DS unless he just wants to camp you and let the game go.

The biggest issue is how it interacts with other perks

The biggest issue is how it interacts with other perks

The biggest issue is how it interacts with other perks

The thing is, if DS is being used as intended the perk isn't being changed whatsoever. All the devs did was attack the minute of immunity where survivors would move the game forward while being guaranteed to unbreakable or stun. The problem with your example for "the biggest issue" (this is coming from someone who plays both sides atm but started as a strict killer main) is you described exactly why Decisive Strike exists. In those situations the combos are doing their job when they should be. DS working with perks like Unbreakable and Soul Guard is only a problem for people who constantly camp and tunnel.

Let's also look at the first paragraph of your original post.

"Lets be honest its true, the threat of DS is what keeps a lot of games fun as survivor because you know the killer wont be likely to tunnel you, and that's where the issue is. If theses no obsession perk in the game well have fun the killer has a licence to play however they what and will be not be discouraged from playing in a way that is unfun and unhealthy for the game. This is why their should be an obsession even without any obsession perks."

If a killer likes to camp and tunnel DS means nothing to them. They'll still tunnel you. They'll just eat it and continue tunneling you. I still understand where you're trying to come from with this and I do think an obsession should spawn regardless of perks. I just don't think for people who use strategies that are unhealthy for the game are just going to be like "Welp there's an obsession, I guess I'm not tunneling this round," because that won't happen.

I'd also like to point out that you stated three things as "issues" with DS. So what's the actual real issue? It sounds like there's a lot of issues.

  • For me

Golden Chainsaw goes to Pyramid Head

Dull Machete goes to BOTH Nurse and Wraith too basic for not being the "base" killer

  • @Mr_K said:

Survivors Devs have already spoken. Freddy will get the hammer at some point.

Thats what happens when you mess with survivor's looping ability.

That's what happens when you mess with survivor's anything. That's why a lot of the newer killers all suck (just in my opinion).

  • I don't think she's as fun as she used to for me. Just because recently the bugs she has really kicked into overdrive for me and I couldn't do anything. She used to be fun.

  • @Shaped said:

You are either lying or there is some bug. I never got more than 5 mins of penalty even when my internet goes down twice in one day I only get 5 mins second time.

    Stop rage quitting.

Like I said "Until it's fixed." We all know this penalty is buggy and always has been. It's been fine for a lot of people, but a lot isn't everyone. If you'd like to know, this is the first time in MONTHS I've actually rage quit. The time 4 weeks ago I had an actual emergency happen so I needed to quit in order to deal with said emergency, I don't know how long the penalty was that time because I straight up closed the game and turned off my console. This time I did actually rage quit and I had a 20 minute ban and have no idea why it was that long (even though 20 minutes is still short compared to other peoples bugged out bans).

  • They need to honestly change a few rituals. The last few chapters they've gotten pretty slug happy with the rituals. Downing a survivor with your power doesn't show that you know how to use the power. Just being able to hit them multiple times should be enough. They should also change Blight and Twins rituals on top of Pyramid Heads.

  • @chadbeastofprey said:

"turn off dc penalties so i can baby rage as i please"

You failed to realize the point. Not to mention you sound like you didn't read a word I said. Twice in a 4 week period and I only mention the reasoning behind one of them doesn't count as "Baby rage as I please." Not to mention I mention nowhere where I say "Just keep it off". I think the dc penalty is beneficial. Not in it's current state where all it knows how to do is add time for no real reason. Also, you don't realize how much I'm able to play this game because quarantine. Twice in 4 weeks is so small a fraction of the amount of games I play it's not even funny.

  • The only thing wrong with this post is the fact that you make it sound like no gamers play killer. You can complain about how awful it is to play killer without saying that gamers only play survivor.

  • They'll probably bring in a new map since we can assume it's a licensed chapter and the next map is apparently "soon trademark." Although, I don't think they're going to drop the graphical update just for a new map. Probably just update one realm and a small one at that.

  • I can deal with Blight and Twins not having maps because maps are chosen based off of their ties to the killers. Blight mainly had ties to the entity's realm as a whole and Twins moved around a lot so neither were really tied to a place. Trickster I'd want to see a map based off the studio his bandmates died in or even one of the deserted locations he took people too. I don't care, I just want new maps back.

  • You're hindered by 4% but gain 2% back for every dull you've cleansed? So up to 104% movement speed? I know it's a small haste but still no. If I bring a perk that punishes for not doing totems at the end of the game, there's no reason people should be rewarded for failing at cleansing all 5 totems if I have NOED.

  • This was a needed change for Wraith absolutely. Especially at the higher ranks he's not viable without windstorm atm so with the speed boost he's getting he won't be dependent on windstorm anymore.

The DS change is going to (hopefully) make survivors realize you can't work on objectives in front of a killers face and not expect to pay the price. If you get actual tunneling a lot you'll still be using it a lot.

The new killer... I know a lot of people are saying he's the weakest killer in the game, but I think that's because everyone forgot Twins exist. However, he does need work and I have a post in PTB feedback about that.

No Way Out is definitely his best perk. Starstruck is also not bad, people who think they're going against a swf might enjoy that. Hex: Crowd Control... just use Bamboozle. One can get destroyed the other can't. It's as simple as that.

  • I think between the complete invisibility at a distance and the speed boost he'll be fine. At least less dependent on windstorm.

  • Imagine the devs fixing the emblems but not the pips.

  • another survivor needs to be hooked - that's 9 hook states maximum not 11

    3 tokens x 3 hook states = 9 tokens

    9 tokens x 3 survivors = 27 tokens

You can barely get a quarter gen done. Not to mention you're probably not going to have all those tokens saved up and you would have to be the last survivor standing to even get that extra 27%. If you're the last survivor standing you probably aren't working on generators. So your math is actually wrong.

I'm not saying the game is going to die because of this, but come on. There's NO WAY ANY player of this game who thinks a guy in bloody flashy clothes is scary. Might as well be scared of P3 Nea...

For the amount of flashy, neon, and whatever else outfits there are in this game, I'm surprised that people are still going on about this game being about dark clothing and looking creepy. If something being creepy was all about the look then no true story about killers (after looking at a picture of the killer) would be scary.

  • They didn't mean "trick" as in "deceit" they meant "trick" as in "a skill". Am I saying throwing knives is skillful or he's a skilled killer? No. I'm just saying that's closer to where they probably got it from then what you're suggesting.

  • I think part of it has to do with the ability to synergize. You can do a build for (let's just take No Way Out for example) endgame where it's like No Way Out, Remember Me, NOED, and like Blood Warden/Fire Up (I know, it's bad)/Rancor/any other endgame perk I'm missing. No Way Out would block the switch for up to 32/36/40 seconds. Then Remember Me kicks in so it takes 36 seconds to open the gate. Then if someone gets hooked, well now you need to wait out a minute before you can leave.

I know that's a very cheap strat and it's probably not the best thing that I probably gave some [bad word] their next disgusting build to run, but it was just an example.

  • If they do what they did with twins as far as a ptb reveal trailer, wouldn't it drop when the ptb does?

Edit: I took the minute to go and look at when the Twins reveal trailer was for the ptb and it was the morning of the ptb.

  • @Dizzy1096 said:

The last time there was a killer that was viable at the highest level it was 2.5 years ago. True story.

Basically don't get your hopes up for anything other than another waste of money if you don't like being a mental chewtoy for a toxic swf gang.

easy to play and viable at the highest level are two different things you know that right? I wouldn't call killers like Oni, Slinger (JUST FOR THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINING), Blight, and Pyramid Head unviable at the highest level. Twins was just a huge disappointment for how they made them sound prior to us knowing who it was (and they were weak).

  • For all the killer stuff that has been nerfed and we finally get a decent survivor nerf I have two words for this... shut up.

  • Since it's different teams within the developer team that deal with what you're talking about, they really aren't going to care. If the bug team is lacking, that's not the design team or writing team or whoever elses fault.

  • What generally happens is the tuesday after the video teaser drops is the ptb (which is also 4 days). So yeah you're right we should know tomorrow.

  • I'm going to guess you aren't great at going against Doctor. I personally love playing as and playing against Doctor. (I don't main any killer so don't come at me for saying I love playing as him). You just need to practice against him and not rely on stealth.

  • @Ohnoes said:

No, team perks help encourage players to not be selfish.

I agree with this and I play a lot of killer as well @Pirate. As annoying as Borrowed Time is as killer, survivors being selfish (depending on the killer) can be detrimental to either side. We need perks like BT in the game to encourage survivors to cooperate and play as team like they should.

  • @Crowman said:

All BHVR said was that at most they would do 2 license chapters a year. This was never a promise that they would always do 2 license chapters each year.

I think they even mentioned that this is not going to be a perfect 50/50, but if we already had 2 licenses that year there would be no more.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/230818/they-need-an-achievement-for-doing-this

I mean, they shouldn't give an achievement for this. No, what they should do is have an achievement for when you get every character on one side to p3 50. Because getting everyone to level 50 isn't hard at all and doesn't take a lot of time.

Make it like one achievement for all killers being P3 Level 50 and another for all survivors being P3 Level 50.

Looks like you have 0 reading comprehension, so I'll try to explain it easier just for you.

    POLITICIANS are USING LGTB flag.

I didnt say LGTB people use that.

I didnt say gay people want to take my freedom.

I said "SOME POLITICIANS ARE USING".

Im sure you understand that I didn't say that LGBT is political at any point because you are smart enought to read and understand 10 lines of text :)

You still used it as a reason to say "DBD could become political" so you are implying that by putting something lgbtq in your game you're probably going to become political. Which again implies that being lgbtq is a political statement of sorts.

Also, based off of the sort of [bad word] I've seen people posting, I think you have the right idea for people who are actually legitimately worried about how they portray the character. I do think there are a lot of homophobic people who play the game though that would either quit the game or make the person playing the character's experience as miserable as possible for "daring to use that character in their match."

  • @[Deleted User] said:

IF you want an idea as to how much the devs care; find the three most recent posts from developers on these forums and the dates they were posted.

The biggest reason I'm mad that I didn't mention is they turned off Crotus Prenn and Autohaven at one point... and somehow didn't notice Badham was not correct for switch? They don't even need an update to fix it just based off the Crotus Prenn and Autohaven stuff and they still aren't doing it. Fine there's not a lot of switch players so we tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to platform specific fixes, but we're still there so we shouldn't be ignored more than other platforms. It's like they gave us Freddy and then were like "YAY WE'RE DONE WITH SWITCH"

  • Just reading the post it sounded like a stereotype. We don't know if the character is a drag queen. Also, let's say they are. Who said the character would be in drag in base cosmetics? It could be cosmetic choices though.

  • Dbd is not early access. They just release scheduled updates to make the game better. Whether it's better or not depends on the person.

  • I was able to finish the challenge.

  • A perk banning system would be abused. No more exhaustion perks and no more DS/UB, etc on survivors. No more BBQ, Devour Hope, NOED, Ruin, Undying, etc on killers.

  • I prefer killing but I do try to get as many hooks as possible but it doesn't hurt if I get like 8 hooks instead of 12 because survivors either killed themselves or went to second state or whatever.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

No, except for maybe one and anyone that tells you otherwise is entitled.

The ONLY killer perk that could come close to this is NOED. It depends on a lot of things, and a lot of times NOED does very little, but there are enough times where it does more than it should. For example Devour is stronger but also much, much, much less likely to activate which keeps it balanced. NOED to say it takes up 1 perk slot can punch above its weight a little too frequently.

I'm going to try and not start the NOED debate again with this. It's entitled to say ANY perk for EITHER side is overpowered or close to overpowered. There's no argument about it. NOED, if a killer is doing poorly you can't argue that you had time to 5 gens in 5 minutes but you didn't have time to do 5 totems and 5 gens in 8 minutes per se. Also, if a killer is really good they probably don't have NOED so it's a waste of time unless you have Inner Strength. NOED is not overpowered. Survivors are lazy.

NOTE: I'm not saying you specifically but people who try to push the argument that NOED is overpowered are lazy. You just answered the question. I'm just giving my two sense on why I think it is not overpowered or close.

  • I get what you're saying and I'd love to see Alien come to dbd, but how would it even work? We don't even know if the devs have tried to get Alien.

  • Because coulrophobia is an actual fear, I'm not sure how far they wanted to go with creating a clown killer design. I have a friend who has massive coulrophobia and when she selects clown to level him up for perks she physically has to put something over Clown so she doesn't have to look at him and she's down right terrified to go against him because it's such a massive fear of hers.
