You can't force Killers to play killers that they don't want to play.
Do you realise this could make que times for BOTH sides much longer, right?
You want to see other killers... Well you should ask for mid-lower tier killers to get some serious buffs instead. Then you will see more variation.
-
For starters, I would like if the game can be balanced before the match even starts. I am not talking about perfect balance, that is impossible to reach, but I am talking about some decent avarage.
No favorite sided maps (or at least remove map offerings), no insane add-ons / items on both sides, no reduction of hook spawns logic, etc.
There are many factors that can hurt one side or help a lot just before the game even starts.
-
That's the April (joke) part on us.
-
Balanced or not, she is much weaker since her nerfs. That's one of the reasons why people stopped playing her. Without top tier add-ons, she just isn't as strong as she used to be.
-
It's all fine until you meet some nasty bush or tiny thing next to a loop.
-
DH will be still decent perk.
Can't say the same about Call of Brine or Overcharge tho.

I agree Killer's Meta changed alot.
How are you making these so quickly? Are you the real Entity??!! \(°o°)/
-
I don't think they will do ANYTHING for them for future months at least. They are simply not priority in all directions. New skins? No. Not even new recolors! Most of killers allready got recolors in rifts... Twins are 2+ year old and no recolor skin even in the rift.
They need QoL improvements and some changes but who cares lol, they have barely 1% pickrate. That's probably why Devs don't much care about them because Twins are the absolute bottom of interest of players.
-
It was horrible. It made Killers want to slug more to down quickly the final Survivor so they can 4K without hooking everyone. It also made Unbrekable the most broken perk in the game, since the killer HAD to pick you up otherwise you would just be up on yourself within few seconds (this would kill Twins btw). Forced Mori also many people didn't like since sometimes you want to give hatch to Survivor or to go find Glyph or hatch for a challenge or something.
I hope this will never come again, at least not even slightly close to what it was on the PTB.
-
Are map offerings unbalanced for both sides? Yes, totaly.
Will they ever change them? Probably not. Maybe if most of community (I don't think Survivors mains will enjoy nerfing their favorite map offerings) would complain about it, then maybe.
-
I think he has just regular Legion sounds but with little bit changed sound because he has mask I think.
It's still cool skin tho.

@Aurelle said:
I mean, Artist is pretty rare to see already. But I would love to encounter a Dragon Artist. I love the skin and I'm an Artist main, so I'll most likely get it eventually.
I found her! Yes, Artist is cool and everyone should play her more.
-
You are just being unlucky. I saw her allready many times and she isn't super rare in my games.
-
@m4x1m_000 said:
Maybe this skin would be more popular if it weren't for the tucked-up in shame tail. They were too lazy to animate the tail, so they just wrapped it around the leg. A great example of hack work. Do developers know why animals need a tail?
I think it is maybe because of "balance"? xD There had to be some reason why they made it like this.

I played against one. Was a pretty darn good Artist too. I had fun against them. I love how it looks and the new sound when crows are launched.
Nice, someone found the new Unicorn... I mean rare Dragon!

Damn, I don't play artist but a dragon skin might just make me interested ~
Artist is good Killer, but Dragon Artist is the best

Do we get a finders fee if we own one?
I will give you my item :3

I played as Skull Merchant and there was Nea at shack that got fully exposed, she tried to dumb tech me, but failed horribly thanks to Enduring. I stare at her, noding my head on her as she lies on the ground ashamed. Then she gave up on her first hook lol.

- You would have to make tunneling and camping very not worth it most of the time or just impossible in a way.
- You would have to make Survivors objective take much longer to do because most of the match all Survivors would be alive.
- You would probably have to nerf all S tier Killers.
- You would have to buff most of B tier Killers and all C or lower killers by a lot.
- You would have to rework lot of perks on both sides.
- Maybe you would have to do some changes in the end-game.
- You would have to rework ranking system.
- You would have to make sure that neither side can abuse or hold hostage or something for the other side.
- You would have to balance SWF groups (nerf them or buff the Killer that play againts them).
- You would have to rework most of the maps and make no map bigger than avarage.
All this in one patch unless you want to break the game.
-
Now tell me that The Shape is the most deep and complex power in the game or at least in top 10 and then I will belive you.
-
I don't think it's Alien model, but how hyped I would be for Alien Chapter tho. That's the like number 1 best lincese they could get for me, second place being Stranger Things 2 (Vecna?) with Demo comeback.

Alice in Wonderland is public domain and this is not a licensed collaboration though?
Wait, really??? It's like a "fairy tale"? Well in that case I am missing like 24K shards xDDD F
-
@Mooks said:
And it will be available with shards later on
(now I inly need more shards… - didn’t help there was an original chapter with two survivors ugh)
also I guess it will be like the other monsters and won’t feature any facial animations at all…
It won't be for shards, these are licensed outfits from collaboration.

@DyingWish92 said:
Nope. It's easily the most unbalanced crock in the game but "people want to play with their friends." So therefore you can't do anything with it.
Yea, I think you are right. I think devs are too scared to nerf people playing together because "it ruins their fun". So we will forever be stuck in unbalanced game when facing groups. If they would rly want to balance it, it would be allready done by now, maybe even many years ago.

Overall, good changes. Pain Ress will probably still be meta but it's more healthy perk now, DH is now granted after being hooked so you can't use it the first chase(s), very nice. Med-kits are still slower to heal yourself, but the default healing others is the same, good. Hillbilly isn't getting nerfed, good.
Now, the only thing I mind is that Twins will have even harder time againts CoH again and CoB perk is dead. -75% is still insane nerf, that perk is dead, with Overcharge probably as well.
-
I don't like how they made building even more expensive. In the beta it was allready too grindy for me, since the most fun for me comes from building and not heavy raiding. I will not force myself to play 3-4h of raiding just to be able to build outpost (for a limited time) and to be able to unlock something. Raiding is just fun for me in a small doses.
I am not buying the game as of now. They made it worse for me than beta was.
-
I don't think Huntress needs any add-on pass or balance changes. She is fine where she is. She absolutely doesn't need buff or better add-ons.
-
Isn't this also the case with picking up Survivors next to windows? Because you have to be looking at them which makes you vulnarable to flashlight saves but you can't look away because otherwise you will vault the window instead.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
So was she the only one on death hook...
It looks like she played her perks well...
But then again you could've hit her with Charlotte instead of Victor when she insta-healed...
What I do is hit with Charlotte then release Victor and get the down with Victor... and if there's another Survivor close by I'll put Victor on them
I couldn't of course. Charlotte is slower than sending Victor. I was far away.
-
Base BT is not there for anti-camping. It has nothing to do with camping since it doesn't work there.
Also Base BT was a big Survivor buff and it made BT perk dropped from meta very fast.

You took a gamble by going after her and it didn't pay off. Simple as that.

This is a classic example of why tunnelling out a survivor is not always the best choice. You could have gone for another survivor, lulled Meg into a false sense of security, and then caught her off-guard later when she was out positioned, instead of just following her from strong loop to strong loop as she played the defensive chase as competently as thousands of hours of practice had taught her to.
That said, you understandably felt the pressure to tunnel a survivor out because the Twins are a weak killer and are worse at dealing with these things than most others are. This is a rock and a hard place situation, and arguably, the Twins shortcomings made tunnelling out a strong survivor an even worse choice. You're giving her additional second chances by way of a poorly-functioning power.
As for that power, I think the Twins should take some inspiration from the Knight and Skull Merchant. The time it takes to switch from Victor to Charlotte or vice versa, should decrease with range, so the further away the faster you transition, with maybe a maximum of 32m where transition is instant. Additionally, Charlotte could get a small speed boost similar to Skull Merchant, whenever a survivor is revealed by Victors killer instinct, be it proximity or due to he being latched onto them. Not saying this would fix the Twins completely, but it would be a good start.
Intersting note to add, is that usualy Survivors tell you "Noooo tunneling doesn't have conterplay, it is sooo ezi".
-
@Nirgendwohin said:
sounds like you should have switched target and meg is an awesome player.
edit: typo
She was the only one on death hook. She was the right target.
Sounds more like game has way too many second chance tools and Twins are too slow to deal with that.

Oh hey, it's a daily "DbD dead game" post.
-
Me: *Decides to play DbD after whole day not playing it*
DbD: No. Bad idea.

I see this post right as I just ended a match as Spirit lol. Although I will say I actually haven't been playing her that much lately. Not because of the bug removal, I am just enjoying Artist so much right now.
Artist is cool :3

Wish Midwich got some more hooks than this RPD.
-
Speaking about skins, I like her weapon on her very rare skin. The extra weapon animation is great.
-
Haha, good one, you almost got me! Happy April day.

Yea, I saw some random dude posting here some patch notes.
Everyone knows Its all fake, because Pig wasn't nerfed.

At least they kept the Hillbilly nerfs. Was worried I might actually have to play against him…
Yea, they were overperforming, even more than Blight's addons.

Wow I can't believe this patch is real. Nice job devs you guys are truly survivor sided.
jkI don't belive them it's real, there is no Pig nerf, #########. Everyone knows how Pig is OP...
DbD is dead.

Character animations look 8-bit--it's extremely comical seeing Wesker (who I believe has the most animated movement animation), chase after survivors at 5 FPS.

I wouldn't jump to calling the killers 'tryhards.' The PTB needs stress testing, and killers are bringing what they believe are the strongest perk combos to evaluate the changes before they hit live servers. If killers aren't pushing the changes to their limit, then BHVR will have less of a chance to spot unforeseen balance issues.
Both sides should come into PTB expecting to face janky and overpowered synergies. It seems like people have this expectation that PTB is a casual sneak peak of upcoming features, when they should be treating it like a QA test.
Yea, I agree with you but when someone DC in the first 5 min, when you are being slugged and the killer wants to do it (lot of wasted time) or you see Doctor with abusing the broken Merciless Storm (yes that happend)... you just don't want to continue playing PTB more.
-
This was probably the worst PTB (at least in recent memory) I have played. There was maybe like 1 game that was longer than 10 min. 90% of the time people DC. Tryhard killers using the most unfun things possible, etc.
-
Even on PTB I saw one doc abusing this bug. I belive whenever you hit the skillcheck the Gen would regress by like 20% or something lol. Then the team started to DC one by one of course after they realised it.
-
The better Survivors you go againts, the worse they are.
They have really good power to put some pressure and lose healthy state. But they are just normal M1 when you want to down someone.
-
The last meta shake up was much bigger and had more killer buffa than this one. People made so much drama out of it when it came out and after few weeks everyone got used to it.
It will be fine as before. Will someone leave? Sure but some new players might comeback you know. This is nothing exclusive to big mid chapters.
