CoH is too strong imo because it gives Survivors infinite med-kit that is decently fast and makes med-kits even more strong. Any other perks that allow you to self heal are just way worse compare to this perk and it's a team buff perk on top of that.
There are many ways how you can nerf this perk:
- Healing bonus no longer works with med-kits (might still be too strong perk)
- The bonus healing speed is nerfed to 30~25% (also nerfs the self-heal).
- Keep it how it is but remove the self heal option.
-
Hopefully never. Only way I could see it being fine and not being awfull is if everyone gets Yellow mori offering base kit. Then you can have a finishing move... or not.
-
Jesus what are these posts? One is "lets force peole to play different killers so Survivors have more fun!" and now another one "lets totaly nerf all Killers and tell everyone where they are half the match". Great ideas guys, keep it up!
What's next? Survivors should have 4 health states and 3 hook states? xDD
-
No. I have better idea.
How about we buff the weaker / mid tier killers to the level of the good killers so you might see more killers than the same rotation? I know, crazy!
-
Interesting changes and I am happy they went this fast with them.
I think she could still 3-gen but maybe worse? Idk, I will wait before the patch comes out. But her chase is better for sure, good!
-
So you want to remove the counterplay / warning from Blood Warden? (Don't open gates or run before someone is hooked).
Well... I think that would be too strong if you pair it with other end game perks. I think then you would have to nerf the perk as well. 60 seconds on demand endgame block with no condition is too strong.
-
Gearhead is meta too at this point.
-
"DrEDgE bECaUsE hE iS nOT liCenSEd cHaPtEr!!!"
-
Yes, it can :-)
Also Knight isn't as bad as when he came out. The mid-chapter helped him a lot (you can play him in different way than just drop stuff on the loops).
-
First idea is just terrible perk. Missing M1 doesn't usualy happen so this perk would have no value in most matches unless you are in new players MMR zone and even when it would work, Killer would waste like an extra second to pick it back up. F tier perk. Also such idea I don't think would be balanced for the game since don't forget Its 1vs4, not 4vs1 so such type of perks for Survivors shouldn't be a thing.
Second idea is totaly RNG perk that again, the concept doesn't work for Survivors to have such power. That perk would be either garbage or totaly OP againts some builds / killers.
Overall the core concept of the perks doesn't work imo and even if they would, these two perks are bad.

I would trade having any content from Stranger Things for things like ability to have new mori animations.
New mori animations < New Characters and killer powers (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Yeah on the one hand there are some amazing exclusive skins in that game, on the other.. that game is predatory.
Yes. Cheaper Auric Cells and exclusive cool skins / mories are the only thing they have above the main game.
Everything else it is just downgrade imo. Lol even Trapper still has his yellow bear traps and can carry only 1 trap by default xD.
-
Do that and watch all games be ruined even more by everyone DC left and right.
Not the map you wanted? DC. Killer you don't like? DC. You got downed first? DC. It's this perk? DC. etc.

Yeah, it's the Amazon prime reward for this month.

Not bad for a recolor. Better than the last reward xD
-
Wait, there is new Artist skin??!
-
I don't know why realese "hidden" promo event when now many players will be asking and be confused what is this, etc.
-
...or we could nerf his basement playstyle (hook min distance to place traps) so he gets some serious buffs??
...or keep him in D tier :P
-
Since the rise of Adrenaline (not direct buff by showing progress of Gens for better timing of triggering), I think NOED is fine I quess.
-
As a Killer player you have 3 options:
1) Play only top tier Killers, then you can sometimes effort to go for hooks too.
2) Play not top killers and then you have to tunnel and camp whenever you see the benefit from it otherwise enjoy Tbagging at exit gates with 0-1K and "ezi" in the chat.
3) Play fair and nice and enjoy how most of Survivors will not care about your fun and end the game under 10 min.
-
No, it is almost impossible to break 3-gen againts SK or even Knight. I played few matches with this playstyle myself and sometimes I even ended the game sooner than I had to because I felt bad and it was just really tedious and boring game at that point (around 30+ min).
There are streamers, SWF group(s) who have thousands of hours in this game and they are rly good in this game and even they have rly hard time dealing with this.
-
Spoiler: All Killers can play like this if they want to. It's just SM doesn't have anything going for her beyond 3-gen atm.
What do I think? She needs some mini-rework. Buff her chase a lot and then you can nerf some gen defense (but don't remove it!).
-
Hillbilly is just that type of character in video games that takes ages to learn and master on the top level with result of being okay at best.
He is too punishing for any mistakes, most of his addons aren't great and that overheat was just a cherry on top.
Why would you spend learning XXX+ hours to just perform worse than other chracters with far less effort and more power and fun? (Unless you LOVE billy).

I'm sure dead hard WON'T be changed. As Peanits said in another post, people made a lot more noise than usual recently with Dead Hard, so that tells me that it will not get changed in this mid chapter, but in the next one 😨
I can only imagine the outrage that would happen if they nerf killer gen regresing perks and don't change DH.

"You can only cover two gens if three are close together" would suggest a Killer who's screwed out of using their power half the time because 'no, you're too close'. Imagine that restriction on the Game or Midwich. <_>
Then how would you change her? That's like the only way in her current state to prevent holding games forever.

I thought the same thing. The changes suggested here just make her Knight, who also excels at protecting 3-gens. In fact these changes make her better at protecting a 3-Gen, which is fine because it’s obviously what she’s meant to do. But idk why that person presented his changes as if they move her away from that strategy when they do not.
Better at 3-gen? No, she can't have a drone next to every gen anymore + she has longer cooldown.
Only thing that would buff her is her chase.

So then she's basically just Knight?
I mean, I guess that's better but idk if Knight is the standard we should shoot for.
No, Knight is quite different. I think I know where you coming from (Put stuff on the loop and Survivors hold W elsewhere) but Knight is 2v1. Skull Merchant is just 1 able to buff herself and observe area. Knight can also do 2 things at once (breaking and picking up, etc.)
-
You can fix her but you have to change lot of things.
First, make her drone zone buff Skull Merchant in chase, similar how her two very rare addons do, but better and more powerfull (Haste + Action speed bonus). Rework these two addons.
Second, make her drones cover a bit bigger zone (for loops and main buildings, etc.), However increase the minimum distance from each drone by a lot. So you can't just put drone one after another next to every close gen. You could still cover some gens but they would have to be some distance from each other (in 3-gen, max 2 gens covered by drones on avarage). Also increase her cooldown for getting the drones back and reactivating them (by few extra seconds) so she can't keep them online as offten.
Third, either keep the Lock On Exposed or rework it so it is easier to get Lock On but it doesn't expose anymore, maybe Hindres them instead for several seconds (30?).
She would still be area control killer but not so campy and also be able to chase people more.
-
Oni is one of the few Killers where you can lose 3-4 gens in one chase but you might still end up on top since you can snowball with your power well.
-
How long was that game?
-
Dredge and Billy and Artist <3
-
Why is it so hard to see the difference.
Audio bug VS being fully invisible.
Also audio bugs are very common in this game, on both sides. Should we killswitch Survivor(s) too, because Killer can't hear the injure sounds? etc.
-
I quess the other 29 killers before these two chapters aren't enough for few months of no idealy new killer that suits you perfectly :-(
-
"Abuse" lol.
Sure most Survivors are abusers too because they all bring Dead Hard.
Using the best strategy = abuse 👍👍.
And no, your change idea is bad. She needs changes but not these and not a direct nerf. She needs some serious buffs.

Which killer is it for? If you want to get nemesis keep enduring it saves you a lot of time and will help in chase a lot. Play with your food is cute but leeds to a slight contradiction where you want to chase the obession (gain afoot) but don't, NO:ED and devior hope are two other good perks with haste for the speed or as you said brutal/fireup can work quite nicely with the other options.
atm it is for Skull Merchant. I wanted to give her something that would fit her at least a bit (lore / theme) since she is like predator hunter that hunts her targets (obsession).
I could easily come up with some build for her power (gen defense), but that is exhausting (long games) and Survivors hate it.
-
I tried to play non 3-gen Skull Merchant, trying to go for hooks and not tunnel.
Idk but I don't think Survivors much appreciate it at all. One Survivor even said to me "fair?" (like "you are playing fair?"). That's what you get I quess for trying to play nice.
-
You can't bait her out unless she lets you. If she lets you then she probably doesn't want to play that 3-gen anymore in that case.
-
No, it was more nerfed than buffed (the 3-gen) since PTB. Don't forget that Survivors with Lock On trap on themselfs couldn't destroy any other drones which is good slowdown for her on top of her drones alone.
-
Really good Hillbilly mains, if they know how to curve you on the loops and they can manage to do it consistently and they very rarely miss with their chainsaw... that's some big mad respect from me. Giga ultra space sigma Chad.
-
Skull Merchant won't care at all. You either waste it on the other gens that she doesn't Guard or you will try to use it on one of her gens that she camps and she will just come back before you fully use your toolbox and kick it with 4 slowdowns anyway and push you away / down you.
Only thing you do is "hurting" other killers lol.
-
I hope they will keep some gen defense, but nerf the 3-gen in some way while also buffing her in different directions.
Please don't turn her into weird ghostface, please don't turn her just into another anti-loop killer with no strategy or no area control please.

Autodidact. I like this perk, sometimes I use it but its very rare to see it shine when you allready have 4+ tokens. I usualy get the tokens right after I finish healing someone and then it doesn't get use or you not get any skill checks lol.
-
You have to gen camp with her, idealy 3-gen set up (4-gen if you have a good map or you feel like you want to give Survivors some extra chance). You don't want to chase Survivors that will go far away from your 3-gen and you try to chase everyone around you so they drop pallets = less resources over the time until they all fall.
Be prepared for long up to very long games that can be exhausting, boring even and also all Survivors will dislike you for doing this.
Playing her in any other way is just trowing the game, you might as well play different killer since you are not a chasing killer, you will almost always lose unless they do terrible mistakes.
-
So better base kit Whispers but with your terror radius music? Nope, that is not a good change Killers need. Also it could be confusing / annoying for someone to keep listening changing music since you will probably be within terror radius of someone most of the time.
-
Yea, lets just make all Killers anti-loop and chase power, I am sure that will be fun and not boring! It's not like we have most killers that have some chase power in their kit anyway.
-
They are two different killers.
-
The only thing that I don't like this patch is that they decided to nuke all screaming perks and nerfed that new antihealing perk from SM.
Other than that I like it.
-
@ARTRA said:
Im going to be honest with you.
Probably you and other people enjoy SM wich is perfectly fine.
Point is, first thing i thought when saw this post was that an alter account of a dev created a post to try SM looks better to the public.
But glad you like it, for real.
I guess SM players are going to share lunch table at school with knight players. We can trade snacks if you want xD.
You play Knight? Very nice 😎
-
I am fine with the idea, but they are weak perks with insane cooldowns.
-
"Per each hook makes Survivors healing speed reduced a bit more and more for few seconds"
Okay ehhh... Not great, weaker antihealing perk but maybe playable on Legion or something.
"...and also only works for healing others"
Okay, trow it into trash bin. Bye.
