Last rift I did two weeks before deadline, though I did almost ALL of the challenges in book (few survivor ones are left on page 4). So in my opinion rift should be like 120 days. For the sake of people who don't stream or live in the game, but play couple of hours after work.
120 Days? I am pretty sure that's much longer than would next chapter realese (with that also comes new rift). Nah, this would just delay new rifts for all active or less active players for the sake of who? People who will play 1h per 10 days? No, thank you.
At that point you can just make them permanent (which would be nice), but you and I know that's not gona happend since the battlepass in games is not designed in the most friendly way for ALL types of players. It's for regular income of money for the company.

Not sure how it has any effect on you whether others can have more time to play the rift. Either way there's usually about 3 months between rifts. It being open 85 days instead of 70 doesn't change anything for people who complete it early.
It doesn't of course, but my point is that if there is someone who can't or barely can complete the battlepass after like 80+ days then they probably shouldn't be bother with it in the first place, because they barely play the game anyway.

I do really wish the rifts were timeless though and you could get old rewards...but I get why that's not the case
I think Halo Infinite is the only game to my knowledge where the battlepass stays forever so everyone who comes back or are new can unluck it in future anytime. But that's SUPER rare case tho.
-
For people who play the game almost daily, they usualy complete the battlepass before the 4th tome challenges are even opened.
I think having over 2 months for active players even casuals is fine and rememeber there are also offten weekend events or codes for extra fragments.
If you can't complete the rift after like 2,5 months then you don't play DbD offten and then you probably don't care about the skins and rifts anyway (or at least you shouldn't imo if you barely play the game, why bother spending $ on it, Its like burning money).

Good so far. However I am not sure how I feel about Autoheaven maps, I need more time for this one. They feel like they got buffed (Survivors) but they are also smaller and Gas Heaven main building is bit weaker which is good. Don't like the 373543 stuff everywhere, it is nerf to some killers.

@lifeisstrange said:
There is nothing to feel about other than its killer sided obviously ? Or on the survivor side just increased dc and rage quitting in solo que and more increases in swf.
I am pretty sure the QoL updates were also Killer sided, hey?
Its not like they nerfed all meta killer perks and med-kits are still good.
-
@Krazzik said:
I mean medkits literally just got heavily nerfed so it's no surprise people moved from them to toolboxes. People who were bringing a medkit every game are probably sitting on a LOT of BNPs so might as well use them.
Med-kits are still good tho, just not OP.
-
I think the settings for everyone was just put to default. No progress was lost / reseted (at least for me).
-
Reality check here, this "buff" is like +0.05%. I know, it's crazy. Most people with flashlights wanted to blind Nurse and it almost always worked, right?
Spoiler: No. -
Dead Hard is the same (effect) but now can only be used after you have been hooked. It works the same, it is just now limited, which is good!
-
New players have it hard overall the most, the game is not friendly towards new players.
First, most of the content is locked behind very large grind or paywall. While each character isn't expensive on their own imo, it adds up in large if you need like 3 perks, each from different character and each takes like 100 hours to unlock or you have to pay 10$ to unlock it, etc.
Second, the game can be overhelming for people who don't know all the perks, mechanics, powers, maps, etc. You will easily lose just by the fact you will not play effectively around things.
Don't worry, you can get behind this Solo Survivor new player hell but you will have to spend XXX hours of learning / playing. It's not casualy friendly game imo.

There's a massive difference between player responsibility and dev responsibility, just bc there's nothing else for the killer to do doesn't mean that doing it should be as effective as it is
If there is nothing for the killer to do in the one stage of the game, then it's the game fault, not the players fault (in this case, Survivors would have upper advantage in the only and last objective for the killer to do and punishing them for trying to achive it).
-
There should be less second chance perks, not more.

No it's not ☠️ why should the killer be freely allowed to tunnel because the survivor looped him long enough for the gates to open
"because the survivor looped him long..." lets be real here, this doesn't happen in most matches.
why the Killer shouldn't be able to go for the same Survivor when all the objective is done? What the killer is supposed to do? Use the most effective strategy (that Survivors hate) so you can prevent all gens being done? Let all Survivors unhook each other for free, trade hooks until everyone is out?

He's definitely top 5 campers.
(In no particular order) I'd say these are the ones best equipped to camp hooks
Infinite tier 3 myers
Bubba
Clown
Twins
Knight
Nope, you forgot important killers that are far better campers:
- Trickster
- Hillbilly
- Oni (with power ready to go)
- Plague (with power ready)
- Executioner (depends)
All you need to do is touch the hooked Survivor to remove his guard or one person take the guard away (bait), etc.
and how could I or you forget Hag lol...
-
@imakepeoplehateme said:
Outside of map of the realm becoming basekit knight doesn't really need any change. He is already a very strong killer if used correctly. He can guarantee a down on someone eventually with his strong antiloop,he is one of the best campers in the game,he can bypass bodyblockers while tunneling by haunting said survivors, allowing you to both pass through them and keep them busy for 12-24 seconds.
"One of the best campers in the game..."
...are we playing the same Knight? They are FAR better campers than him... his power isn't even that good at camping, only scaring Survivors away who are unaware.
-
New hook logic there? Nah, they never talked about it in any recent patch notes. This map has still terrible hook logic out of any map by mile, usualy towards Survivors (1 hook for one whole section of 2nd floor, etc.)
-
Too late. Legendary skins sells well long time ago and they will. Why do you think they make so many of them for the past months?
-
Yes, because it is unbalanced map. 15+ pallets, jungle gyms, shack, good main building and everything connected together. So the classic new map desing for the past 1+ year.
-
It's not stupid, Its called balanced.
-
If there is a known bug / unwanted feature in any game and it is there for months or longer, then it should not be called bug anymore.
If it was really a bug, then why would it be put aside, not done anything about it while players allready got used to it and think there is nothing wrong with it because months of patches came by and nothing happend.
That's just doesn't sound right to me. It should be called balance change, not a bug.
-
Map of the Realm for Knight (extra detection range for guards). You can't play him without this addon. I faced knight who didn't have it and his guards were joke because they almost never saw any Survivor next to them.

Oh... Me very smart. Me big brain, me go bum bum.

They made her blinks & chain blinks no longer be basic attacks in a recent-ish patch. It affects a slew of things, so now you're better off using information perks instead of Sloppy Butcher or things that apply the Exposed status effect.
Yes, but it seems like Sloppy butcher still works for slower healing for her (which should not since it is basic attacks only).
-
Unless their opinion isn't clearly biased, nothing.
-
Yes, also make it work in end game and for every Survivor that brings this perk the duration of this perk is increased by 20 seconds and stun per token by 2 seconds. Also if the Killer hits you if you have Endurance on you, they will be slowed be -10% Movement for the remaining duration of the DS. Also if it is end game you will gain +50% Haste for 15 seconds just to make sure Killer has no way to catch you even if you are the last Survivor standing.
-
Buffed? The last time Viktor got changed was his nerf that is like almost 2 years ago. They made his cooldown after downing someone longer from 3 seconds to 5 seconds.
-
115% would be much more fun to play as. However I would make that it takes 1 extra damage for blades to balance it out.
Main Event shouldn't be timed based. Agree.
-
Do you also dislike SM if she chases people and just sometimes put drones on gens? When she doesn't camp them I mean.
-
I don't like when Survivors 99% gates because it offten backfires more than help your team.
I saw many situations where me or someone would be downed just because the gate wasn't opened and that extra 1-2 seconds really metters in close situations.
-
Me seeing hate towards Dredge, Billy, Sadako and Plague makes me want to cry ಥ╭╮ಥ

@IWasLrft2Die said:
Out of curiosity, where did you get that data?
Nightlight (web)
They are community based stats collected from player's screenshots. It's VERY limited data but still better than nothing and it can show you a bit of avarage how the real stats could look like.
-
When you finaly meet Sadako match (happy!)... and then you realise it is slugging Condement build (sad).
-
I feel like they just don't want to sit another 5 min lost game and then seing all tbagg at exit gates, etc.
-
Haddofield was one of the worst maps in the game for Killers. Glad it was changed since now it is more fair. Maybe it is worse for Stealth killers but it is still better than old RNG map. I rememeber you could have fence all over one section of the map making it either dead end or very annoying to go around. Like Gas Heaven walls but worse and more of them.
-
FOV slider. FOV slider. FOV slider. PLEASEEE I beg you :(
-
I need more Dredge lore :-(

Her add ons still need adjusting as some of them really boost her power a little too much and some are so bad that they’re easy to forget their existence.
Please don't nerf my favorite charge speed addons, these are my favorite (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ

Wow, is nice to see all positive comments so far in the discussion. Don't mind me, just keep going!

Had a time where i played nurse very much, but the matches itself went into a state i don't liked, because it was all about sweat sweat sweat. It felt like i have a choice between: Do stomp or get stomped and that's not the way i wanna to play DBD on long term/ every match. Besides, every second match you have almost a guaranteed disconnect what makes the thing even more boring.
Yea, Nurse is just the type of Killer where you have to sweat or you will preform poorly. I don't enjoy that. Even games where you win and you would consider good games, there were usualy sweat anyway because you just have to focus all the time.
-
Plague is in very good spot. She doesn't need anything. No nerfs, no buffs. She is fine as is.
-
Upcoming Skull Merchant Rift skin... I don't like that one.
The Store skin however doesn't look bad. I wonder if the weapon has different animation, that would be cool.
Cool that Ash is getting some love after such a long time of nothingness.
-
Good with Sprint Boost + Self-Aware or how the nancy perk for walking speed is called.

I mean, personally (even though Im not a Twins main), I am chilling with what cosmetics they already have, I mean, just look at this! It fits so well! :D
I need at least one more purple skin xD

What skins do you want to see???
ANYTHING. At this point even some nice recolor would at least would give me smile on my face.
They didn't even get 1 recolor in ANY rift! NONE.

Trickster? What do you mean? He gets plenty.
Yea, Trickster got like 3-4 skins in the last year.

I completely forgot about Twin's existence.
Don't blame you for it. You can maybe see 1 in 200 games.

At least Twins got that pirate skin yesterday that was in the Rift. Not that it's good or anything but it's something.
All us 8 Twins players allready have it tho :-(
...but Its good for the 9th Twins player that might appear in future. If any.

@Gandor said:
Like shelter woods is definitely less killer sided. But I would 100% not call it survivor sided. The map is large, but considering it's size it doesn't have much. Filler pallets, shack and main. Find anybody outside of main or shack and chances are the chase will not take too long. Survivor sided map is garden of joy. This one is like Headonfield - favors both sides equally (depending on circumstance/position)
I played it today as M1 Killer and I am telling you this map is survivor sided for sure. I had long chases because there are now so many pallets, almost no dead zones and everything is packed together. It was pretty bad.
-
@Canas said:
Sadly that's a trend which has been going on since a long time, any modern rework or map release is blatantly survivor sided these days.
Yea, they like to add lot of pallets connected together and some of them are chained to shack, good window, main building, etc.
