That same thing has happened to me and one of the reasons why I posted this thread. A person pestered me for like an entire minute and kept trying to heal me while I was running resilience and wouldn’t take the hint even though I kept breaking away from her heal and literally pointing to tell her to go away. Stupid people!!

I've noticed if you spam point they cant do it, that usually works for me!

  • @Mandy said:

I'd just add one thing, pay attention to see if the person that's unhooked you has We'll Make It - cos the amount of times that people don't notice that I'm running that perk and can get healed super fast is staggering.

I keep running into people who run WMI, and they'll follow me for up to about a minute tea bagging and flashy clicking because they wanna heal me, and forcing the interaction whenever it pops up

I dont ignore to be toxic, but the most common build I run is based around being injured, resilience and spine chill and dead hard and adrenaline, when I'm running this I'll only ever heal up if Its a dire situation and we need to do a clutch hook save, that cant be done whilst injured

But this wastes so much time and I think enforces bad habits, because they feel that its OBLIGATORY to heal, the amount of times I've been trapped on something and been knocked down whilst the other person refused to leave the heal animation.

  • I try my best to play killer as much as possible, but it's difficult when I'm 90% of the time being paired against red rank bully squads (SWF or not, the moment they are better than someone they take time away from doing gens all at once to BM for ten minutes, basically taking the game hostage at that point, and I'm too stubborn to DC)

That ######### burns you out rq

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

2 rank 20 teammates, rainbow ranks in many games, a ton of rank 13s?????

I know rank reset screws up the mm for a bit, that's fine, but the ranks I've been seeing are vastly out of range from mine and make no sense even after rank reset that they would ever be matched with me.

Has anyone else felt this or am I super unlucky?

As survivor I'm continually either being matched with red ranks or brown ranks, currently rank 9 due to the reset! (So maybe MMR would apply here)

But as killer, I'm still continually being put against red rank swfs, so unless these SWFs are terrible (my kill rate has been going down really ######### steeply since I started getting matched against these) which they aren't, I don't think there's any chance MMR has been turned on yet

Did you mean ineffective? I'm sorry but that was really confusing to read as I can't actually tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me. I think it seems more critical so I'll respond under the assumption you disagree. So anyways, The issue isn't that he can tunnel because love it or hate it, tunnelling is possible regardless of the killer. The issue is that he is WAY better at tunnelling. Every other killer has to slug for a minute if they want to tunnel or pick up and risk eating the DS. Good ol' pp head can just immediately cage you and even if you're genuinely being tunnelled it doesn't matter because pp head just gets to break the rules. The only way to actually use DS against pp head is to immediately jump into the first locker you find but I have a feeling locker DS'ing will be removed sooner or later which will lead survivors with literally no options if that happens. Plus as far as I'm aware, locker DS is seen as unfair so the survivor will be made out to be the bad guy lol.

At the end of the day, Pyramid head can take you out of the game very quickly if he wants and unlike with literally every other killer, there is very little to no counterplay to a tunnelling Pyramid head if you're tormented. (FYI this all depends on you being tormented, if you aren't tormented then he's basically just a normal killer, lol)

Yes, every killer does have these, and in the long run PH suffers more from tunneling than the rest of the survivors. Its unfortunate I'm aware and im sorry you've had this experience, but not every Pyramid Head does this and punishing the rest of the people who use him because of a toxic minority and either completely negating his strengths (not tunneling, but fast paced gameplay) or reworking him (which is stupid because he's balanced asf)

I've been tunneled by a Pyramid Head but I didn't come to the forums and cry to try and rally the masses

It's unfortunate, it happens, but if everytime this happened someone came to the forums to screech about it, it'd still be as effective as this, it would have none, because guess what, the only thing more tunnelly and or campy about PH is his ability to put you in a cage (which funnily enough is in a location ONLY HE doesn't know, unless he actively seeks the cage (punishing himself, allowing others to do gens), he will unlikely be near enough when the nearby nea urban evading or someone doing a gen uncages you.

At the end of the day

    Pyramid Head needs no changes

The only change relevant to this, which would actually be a massive nerf to him, is allowing hook related perks to activate with cages (like DS and BBQ)

  • NOO man I'm gutted! Thanks for telling me though, best to get it out the way now

  • I really hope soon

I'm going to be getting the switch version for the exclusive Trapper cosmetics (but I probably won't if they dont cross progress due to a contract), the portable DBD is just a bonus lmao

  • When I feel I've become reliant on spine chill again I'll drop it from my build and slowly filter it out with aura reading perks, starting with Alert and ending with Kindred

Then I drop those and use whatever I want

I find having the aura to watch makes me feel a whole lot safer when I'm worried because I don't have spine chill!

Firstly, early on, you just want to GET UP GET UP AND BOUNCE AROUND every here and there. Let yourself get a feel for it, don't go trying to trick shot Lethal Rushes first. Use it in open areas first, look around and be intentional with where you are going in between Rushes, and don't get caught up stuck in an obstacle. If you go into an obstacle and you have already bounced once or twice in the same small area with nothing to show for it, just let the Rush die and recharge. You don't NEED to use it to get someone, don't feel like you do. Knowing when to say "I goofed" and play like a normal Killer is very important for Blight.

Secondly, be mindful of certain add-ons early on. The one that lets you see where you will bounce is okay for learning, but some of the others give pretty impressive buffs via auras and such. Those ones, while great, should be saved for when you have the real basics of Blight down first. Otherwise, they can quickly become a crutch.

Thirdly, BounciBoi is short. For now, get used to it. Eventually, BHVR says they will fix it. So, in about 4 years, expect it to be fixed. Seriously though, you will need to be a bit more manic in order to make up for the lack of information you get due to not seeing over obstacles the way other Killers do. Thankfully, Blight feels very fun and energetic to play, so the manic playstyle just works.

Fourth, Lethal Rushes have a very extended and slightly delayed lunge. DEFINITELY take some time to adjust to it. Basically, you have to be able to predict a hit a bit earlier than you normally would for other Killers, and time the landing. On a separate but related note, if you are at 5 Rushes and you're about to go into Blights fatigue, you can add a lunge attack to the end of the Rush to get a bit more distance out of it before you start injecting Minute Maid.

    Thankyou this was really useful!

I'll definitely keep this stuff in mind!

Ok, asylum is your best map now.

How stupid it might sound, especially at the beginning you'd better not to use your ability at pallets, especially at not standart

Probably the best in the shack pallet

    My build is:

    BBQ

    Undying

    Devour (oh boy, undying buff)

    Dragons grip/thanat/nurses/noed

Rn i run noed cuz i recently prestiged him

Have you tried him on new asylum? I noticed some of the walls are slidey, i deadharded into a wall yesterday and it just slid me to the other end of it!

Agreed. This is why I think simply enabling perk interactions with cages would be a positive change. Good killer would take no punishment and have the added bonus of having a wider spread of viable perks on PH. You'd be able to tell whose a good or bad PH by simply looking at who complains.

    This ^^

So because he's no longer easy mode he's therefore bad? Pyramid head is fine and would be fine even if they removed his ability to tunnel. Is he hard to do well with? Yes. Does that mean he's bad? No. Like with Nurse, you need to make reads to hit your power and is easily dodged if the wrong read is made. So, like Nurse, both can essentially ignore loops if played well. Unless your on Hawkins, hawkins as pp head is painful if the survivors abuse it, lol.

Pyramid Head tunnelling is a choice and he is incredibly effective without it, these generalisations because of toxic players are bad, yeah its unfortunate tunnellers exist but guess what every killers has tunnellers and campers. I know that doesn't mean its fine to do these things but trying to get a killer nerfed further and/or get a rework because you don't like a very unrewarding capability his power has is just bad and on a small level, entitled.

Before you call me an entitled killer main or whatever I actually am a survivor main and I just actually play killer like a decent person.

  • My main issue is you can't look at outfit combinations without owning the majority of the outfit!

I don't really know tbh, but if I had to take a shot in the dark, a new film right now is possessor (have you watched it). A Killer that can, once hooking and killing someone, take on the appearance of another survivor so that the red mark disappears/less noticeable from a distance and it only works for a small period. That sort of power would be cool, as whilst he may be an m1 killer it means that if you are not careful they become very deadly very quickly. Of course, it would be like what we thought about legion originally, but it would be a cool killer IMO. He would suck early, but not being able to see the killers body shape and it constantly changing so you had to keep tabs on who was in your lobby and who had died would be pretty cool.

In high level lobbies though, the moment they realised the killer, they'd avoid any other player at all costs like the bubonic plague for the rest of the match!

Watch Scott's video for basic good Blight.

  • @Lazerboy88 said:

Blight is a tough one can easily be one of the most frustrating and fun killers at once. He has a decently tough learning curve but my best advice is this. In order to get good consistent hits with his power at loops and such you need a general understanding of how the loop is laid out and a common survivor mindset, imagine you being the survivor during a chase and constantly think to yourself what would you do in the survivors position? Would you go for the vault or pallet, would you turn the corner and leave the loop or keep running it. In short Blight requires good reads and solid predictions with a short window to act upon them. Good advice for starting out, spam his power get comfortable with it and keep going for hits and if you feel like a rush might not get you in good position to get a hit, bounce off something and realign.

You are gonna have some very frustrating moments with blight, there will be hits that miss and you will look like you were just a millimeter short. There will be objects you would think you can bounce off of but you will slide on instead.

I love blight but same time he causes me alot of frustration but when I do well and don’t slide off everything he is hella fun

    console blight btw

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1871119#Comment_1871119

It's not. There's no downside to it other than missing but any player will add the belt to get extra hatchets. They don't have to do anything to earn a one hit down. You could say they have to aim it but anyone who has played this game more than 3 hours will tell you hatchets have been known to make sharp turns around corners or go through walls. By this logic when a survivor uses Deliverance they shouldn't have to rescue someone first.

By trumping all addons it means the belt is ineffective and the huntress can only have one hatchet, it's extremely punishing if a huntress misses this

I'm aware of hatchet hitbox issues, I've fallen victim to them many a time, but it's not that bad that you need to completely gut an alright addon

An alternative to the instadown is when a hatchet has been held for two seconds or so the aura of all survivors within like, 36m or smth would be revealed, stays iri worthy, but more balanced ig

Also nerfing her hatchet in this way would make her nearly impossible, and youd have to calculate your throws but wouldnt be able to due to randomised weights you aren't told

  • I actually disagree with everyone saying wrath is easy Oni

wrath could easily be attributed to Charlotte and Victor after their anger and infuriation to humanity with the way they've been treated

Well if it helps I'm consistently being matched against red and purple rank swfs that spend whole matches bullying me for about three days, and only had on object, I think its just bad luck

  • @CashelP14 said:

I don't understand it either. It's usually extremely easy to tell a good from a bad killer.

Though regardless of rank if they tunnel and camp me or nod at me or hit me on the hook then it's their fault if I t-bag.

Why is nodding negative? If someone is just tryna meme and you start being toxic that just makes everyone's experience worse!

  • The old programs that could tell you died with dedicated servers! I don't think there is a way now short of having a direct line to the server logs

  • Agitation! I love when a survivor team uses petrified oak and start trying to run me into deadzones, I can get to a nearby hook easily, but it can also be the difference between those extra 10 metres to the basement hooks, i almsot always run it base kit now unless I'm going for something niche/specific

Last time MMR was on, it was a lot worse.

I've been at Rank 1 on both sides since about June of 2019 and I'd been a Rank 1 Killer for a while before that. I was being matched with Rank 16-20's almost every game with MMR.

I sincerely hope that they have fixed it this time.

I dont think konami even knows what the game is and just told BHVR they can have whatever. They've been extremely generous and allow you to change Cheryls in game outfit with a free sweater or tank tops from the game...tank tops she wore with jeans in the game. And her custom outfits that BHVR created are locked, same with PH.

I just don't see how this could possibly be Konami's fault (and they're normally very at fault!) Its BHVR being stupid. With the amount of freedom Konami has given im positive they could get this outfit but BHVR doesn't want it. Probably thinks "too silly" like JokeFace. Meanwhile; Nea

Konami are usually really stingy with licensing and stuff like that so I just assumed they didn't include it with the contract

I'm gutted about all of the tank tops missing details including the different hair colours they came with, and the tattoos as well as the jeans!

    Seems legit

  • I've been very heavily affected by this recently

I play about 4-6 hours a day to practice and hone my skills, as DBD is something I'm incredibly passionate about. Now I'm a moderately skilled survivor, and when I get less skilled killers I give them some hits, escape, gg (unless they are being bullied then I'll purposely wait for them to finish bullying the killer and give them a free sacrifice)

But I'm not an amazing killer, about top of green ranks a few days ago, but since then I've been consistently matched with rank 1s to rank 6s with exactly two green ranks and a yellow rank, for three days, about 13 hours of consistent bullying, and tea bagging and flashlight clicking and notification spam, just to grab my attention so they can be ######### some more.

I just want to improve but I cant when this is all that happens all match, every match. On average I've been getting consistent 0ks since this started, and exactly 5 sacrifices, none of which happened in the same matches!

I absolutely love this game but I'm getting sick and tired, I hope turning on MMR fixes this, because idk what I'll do otherwise

As others have said testing other features to make sure they aren't bugged. Have had multiple patches where killer that wasn't announced to have any changes was bugged at live release. Maps that weren't reworked have bugged totems or areas where players get stuck. In this ptb there are random cosmetic bugs on Meg, Claudette, and Trapper. Also playing perks not in the announced changes are how people have found out perks are either not lighting up at all during a match or are staying lit up all match when they shouldn't be.

They could be testing perks that were changed. They might not have Undying on Clown, Wraith, or Trapper (3 killers with announced changes) but they do have it on Spirit. They may be playing Nurse and want to see if new maps have spots she can't blink.

For reference she can't blink to the second floor on crotus for some bizarre af reason
