Imagine your prox chatting with someone and a billy just chainsaw sprints in shouting ooga booga booga
tell me it wouldnt make the game scary again
-
I'll test this on PTB later, it might be a connection thing, do you have good connection?
-
I'm not too sure but I'm pretty sure Feral Frenzy doesn't proc exposed effects.
Exposed on legion defeats the point of his ability anyway so it'd be kinda pointless if it did work
-
I'm buzzing, the locomotion update is so interesting!
I can't wait to test some stuff like trappers new rng as well as undying
-
Honestly, i don't think the undying nerf is as extreme as people are saying!
We'll find out in about 5 hours I guess, but either way, there will always be other builds!
In reality, PH doesn't NEED gen defence perks, its just nice, as it is on most killers!

Yes, but the same is true for undying + ruin. Early on, you can just do gens, and only in late game, or at a major tipping point you need to deal with them. Also, they are easily dealed with by doing bones.

And yet, they dont get the same threadment.
I think ruin and undying is fine the way it is (i main survivor im not biased), honestly overall we need to stop complaining.
There are broken combos, we can say something, but saying it over and over just annoys everyone involved
-
In real life this would make sense, but the killers have been granted an exceptional amount of strength by the entity, some of them even supernatural powers!
How else could Rin pick up someone like David otherwise, she'd probably break in half irl lol.
If you fell down a small drop carrying with someone with super strength, you'd probably keep a good hold on them too.
-
some people accidentally mess up the struggle as others arrive, or were simply left too long that by they time they get there, the person has died.
its not always trying to hinder other peoples play, if anything, the struggle mechanic is the thing hindering it
as for the fog whisperer, that's obviously not good, but it isn't explicitly toxic, at the end of the day there's always another trial on the other side for everyone involved

You are pretending that all toxicity from the game is from survivors. You are accusing me of being exactly the kind of person DS protects. And you are telling me to grow up?
I am simply pointing out that DS is a highly abusable perk that, thanks to such, is encouraging killers to tunnel people off the hook to eat the DS if it's there (which encourages people who don't have DS to equip it), which is exactly the behaviour the perk is supposed to discourage. You are going on and on about toxic survivors to justify this form of tunneling, thus painting yourself as the victim.
But of courses its easier to smear your opponents and continue to tunnel people off the hook than it is to admit that maybe DS isn't a great perk to have in the game and that it really should be nerfed so that it only does what it's supposed to. Even though you claim to be someone who doesn't use or abuse it which makes this whole argument of yours very difficult to understand.
Not all of it, just 99% of it!
yes killers are bad as well but their behaviour stems from that of the opposed majority!
I never disagreed that its highly abusable, again, no tunnelling involved, please actually read.
I'm making a separate point, and in no way am trying to paint myself as a victim, because I'm not, im not trying to justify tunnelling, its boring anyway.
I dont tunnel off hook, i neevr said DS was balanced or should stay in its current state, putting words in my mouth again, but that the fear of it is irrational when there is a way to avoid that which i s n t tunneling, stressing the isnt because apparently you cant read

Trapper starts the game with 3 thin threads he can put in windows or between walls. These windows or ways are blocked but survs can broke them. If a surv run thought he's injured and put in dying state. Trapper can use active button to use threads or traps. What do you think?
I really want an addon rework for Evan. Most killers have addons that almost completely change the way they play, but Trapper doesn't.
Bloody Coil should be a purple at best.
I think he should have an addon that allows him to trap interactions like window vaults, pallets, chests, maybe even generators if the idea was balanced enough! This at the cost of no bear traps!
logwood dye should be base kit and tar bottle should be replaced with a camouflaging kit that considerably blends the trap to the environment (maybe with two seperate levels like the dark traps)
Evan has so much potential but his kit is a relic of past DBD that now has limitations which are no longer necessary!
-
Against popular belief there isnt only one efficient way to play them, their special mechanic adds so many possibilities and opportunities that normal killers dont have, but people just slug with them.
They give the reason that charlotte is a useless m1 killer, so they just use Victor, unless hooking. Which is stupid
I dont see trappers or wraiths slugging whole lobbies, because they become/are m1 killers, once they've placed all their traps down or come out of cloak.

Stop victimising yourself. There's shite in DbD that's just plain awful to deal with, and the advice of the OP, and you, is to use one version of BS to justify another.
DS exists to stop tunneling. You are justifying tunneling to get rid of DS. Can you not see a problem here?
In no way am i victimising myself, lmao, just pointing out the toxic atmosphere is created by survivors
I never said tunnel them, maybe actually think before you put words in peoples mouth
yeah, and i wouldnt be suprised if you were one of the teabagging flashlight clickers who think they are better than everyone else
also, i play more survivor than killer
I dont click my flashlight, i dont teabag, i dont run crutch perks, i dont locker jump and i dont bully the killer
its not difficult, survivors just see strength in numbers and act as toxic as they ######### want, but try and smack down killers for even looking at doing something toxic
If someone is farmed in front of you and you knock them down, that is not tunneling, that is not toxic, taht is doing my job
please, grow up, for your sake as well as others

Saw in another post the way he plays clown is normally by slugging everyone which then its not very surprising he doesnt get hit by ds. But it does make the trial the most boring thing ever. Either way i like how the answer to ds is to actually tunnel to remove ds from play as early as possible. And most of the times when i do ds a true tunneler they just come back after me since i have no answer now. But i can ds hit a killer after they have hooked 2 other survivors when they grab me off a gen! Fairplay yay!
The answer to DS isn't to purposely tunnel it out, if the op is there, damn well take it or you are just a fool of a killer, survivors farming other survivors is the stupidest ######### anyway, wait till ive had a chance to step away before unhooking, otherwise ill get the smackdown and then get a hit off on the person who unhooked as well, even better if they are injured, ill pick the unhooker up first. But if i have an op to remove DS (and im not snowballing) then I'll take it.
On slugging, yeah thats boring and I dont have anything to say about that thats really relevant to this

And what happens when you "force" someone's DS only for them to not have it and just be a victim that just got farmed?
Can you not see the behaviour that DS creates? The toxicity? The miserable trials? It is supposed to exist to PREVENT toxicity and yet it is the root cause of some of the most BS things in DbD, either directly or indirectly.
I hook them, it'll be their second hook if they are lucky, otherwise, feels bad I guess, but you play to survive or get killed, team mates shouldn't farm anyway, its not like I face camp, I got pressure to spread (always) and traps to place (usually)!
Anyway, stop acting like survivors are these innocent victims who don't deserve to get hooked unless they are toxic. The point of playing killer is to be merciless and kill everyone, I'm a lot nicer than I need to be!
We wouldn't have a toxic atmosphere if 99% of survivors didn't automatically make themselves the victim and verbally abuse the killer for using certain perks or killers or doing thing they weren't then going out the way to teabag and click their flashlights and locker jump and use perks like DS to troll!

Where did you get slugging from? Unless your replying to someone, OP simply said they don't care about getting hit by DS because they always funnel it out early game!
(I meant funnel, not tunnel)
-
Half of a generator can't even be worked on in one of the swamp maps, they are full of glitched totems and fat shaming spots. Coldwind is minorly bugged in comparison, we just have to wait!

@Altarf said:
You've said in an earlier thread that you use coulro and sloppy on slugging builds. DS isn't very impactful in those builds. DS is impactful on killers that don't mass slug.
Do you really expect me to believe you're getting constant 3-4k 12 hook games while eating every DS without meta perks as Clown? Really?
Shockingly, people can be skilled at the game, suprising isn't it!
-
@MadLordJack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1867872#Comment_1867872
The only way to get DS out of the way early is to tunnel someone down and pick them up, or hope they're terrible at the game and will try to force it out (which is something that needs to be removed form the game). That is what the OP is advocating, unless everyone just wants to ignore good players with DS that will wait til there's a snowball starting to go for formerly-risky plays.
So there's your choices:
1) Accept farms and get cucked because someone equipped a perk, but perhaps win later on. Definitely not fair for anyone involved, that survivor didn't ask to be farmed. Doesn't help with the real problem, either.
2) Tunnel everyone down to eat DS as early as possible and just say whoops as you give them a miserable time, especially if they don't have the perk. That is the only proper way to eat DS early. Every other way relies on survivors being bad and also is still you teaming up with a survivor to BM another survivor. Sucks, but it's always going to be true that it takes two to farm.
3) Just play completely normally.
Fun fact, i do use choice number 3, its common sense not to unhook right in front of the killer without BT, unless they are face camping without an insta down!
If i see an opportunity to force someones DS i take it, and its not really making them miserable, plus, half the people who use DS do it to troll, all the flashlight clicking and locker jumping, not like they are trying to make the killers day any brighter
(Also i play more survivor than killer! I have absolutely no issues when playing like this, I dont rely on second chance perks, I never even put them on, barring one time my friends forced me to. Especially since, if a killer takes mine or OPs attitude of if you dont use them ill prolly cut you some slack, then life gets better for that survivor that was previously "miserable")
-
Yes to these Evan changes
Though I will continually be insistent he needs an addon rework 100%
At some point I'm going to make a post on my ideas for new addons!!
What he has right now is just, lacking

So hardcore tunnel people off the hook and just say whoopsie daisy if they don't have Endurance status form BT, or DS? Sounds pretty toxic to me.
There's no hardcore tunneling involved, that's when you chase a survivor until they are dead no matter what
If they get farmed right in front of you, the no brain play is to smack them down and take the chase (I usually dont commit to a whole chase unless I know I'll get them), I'm not gonna actively chase the unhooked person if I wasn't there!
But if I am, if they dont have bt active then they get knocked down, no ds, hooked, hooked again, then ill give them another chance later if their team mates don't let them die. And if their team mates let them die on hook then I'm not giving them second chances at all.
Simple
It's not toxic
Just efficient, and still fair

@MadLordJack said:
So, you're victim blaming in a videogame whilst encouraging killers to play like pricks and ruin the experience of survivors that aren't running the second chance meta so they switch to the second chance meta and perpetuate the cycle of toxicity?
Whilst Ignoring the fact that a team of small pp build is the freest escape of anyone's life and that DS is the lynchpin of that build and creates the in-your-face toxicity, such as... Literally anything survivors can do to abuse DS?
No one at is recommending toxic killer behaviour! But being scared of DS because you let it become an issue which would inevitably be your tipping point between winning or losing, is pathetic, if you know survivors are gonna have DS (in all my lobbies recently at least one has), then plan ahead and make sure to fix that
That isnt toxic or playing like a prick
Plus it's just common sense
A one time perk
If you deny them further access to it they have basically wasted a perk slot!
Same with unbreakable, which is arguably weaker!
Plus I'm more likely to give survivors who dont run second chance perks the hatch or some slack if their team mate tries to farm them!
-
I dunno smells kind of entitled to me?
-
Here, have a look
-
I've seen more people crying about DS on this forum in the past two days than since I started playing, I've only been around a few months (playing killer much less than that) and for me this is common sense, all these crutch perks survivors run only become strongly effectual in late to end game.
I'm not a sweaty, everyone must die kinda killer either, I just go with whats happening, I don't see why DS is seen as such an issue, gen grab and locker DS maybe, but imo its easy not to give them that opportunity!

I don't know why so many killers give DS such a power, it's not that bad of a perk, instead of pissing over the idea someone might have DS, just eat it early game.
Exceptions being if it would ruin your obsession based build (STBFL, PWYF, etc.)

You admit that you're not a good killer. This shows because you don't understand the power of DS. Also, "eating it early" is not a counter...
"admit"
stating that im not amazing just puts people who throw fits about DS to shame
Early game, actively eating Decisive has been a sure fire way to guarantee my late game snowball
I understand the power of DS, its power is its offensive use, it has offensive use because killers are scared of being DSd late game, which could lose a whole match for them. Instead of pissing myself whenever I down someone within a minute of hook late game I know that DS is out the way and I can play like it doesn't exist.

That is sort of incorrect tbh just looking at the charts alone she has one of the lowest kill rates even lower than that of clown, and clown is still getting a rework before her. Plague just isn't that strong not because she is mechanically difficult but rather on top of her having to deal with with her preexisting objectives she still has to go out of her way to get her power. I would say even clown is more mechanically difficult than her but it's just the simple fact that they kind of ignored her. She is never talked about and no one seems to mention her on the forums because no one wants to play her since she isn't strong. Setting aside her kill rate you look at her scoring and that's a mess as well she needs a reworking system to score her correctly. This is why like oni I think its better if she can just activate her power from a distance once an active fountain is up. Plus this wouldn't be too strong because it already exists with oni and his is an instant down compared to plagues.
"kill rates this kill rates that"
Nurse has the lowest kill rate of any killer
so she's bad?
incorrect, just not often utilised properly
-
@Zozzy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1867647#Comment_1867647
Then she is back at square one with no reason to cleanse and her fountains are useless.
She is the tallest killer in the game and shows over many loops that the other killers don't. this makes mindgames with her impossible and stealth is impossible.
Perhaps survivors being infected should activate her ability to teleport to any fountain? the more that are infected the faster she gets to teleport?
Not every killer should have the ability to teleport, plus that would completely break plague, she teleport to a newly corrupt fountain for an instant chase against a survivor that probably recently escaped from her or got unhooked
It strengthens tunnelling on her, plus teleporting is quite broke as it is, Freddy barely gets away with it, but only because its a main objective he teleports to and you get a massive visual warning before he appears!

It's not an unstoppable force on it's own but it's commonly run with certain perks to basically gain invincibility for that minute the timer is active. In that time they basically try to get stuff done while also tormenting the killer.
even UB DS has its flaws, it only becomes a punishing combo in late game, or at a major tipping point!
This is easily prevented by eating DS early, so UB has no opportunity to be used unless you are slugging everyone
-
@Zozzy said:

The only reason survivors would cleanse is if it is detrimental to looping or gen speed. Everything else is irrelevant.
It is detrimental to gen speed, when everyone is infected her gen pressure is insane!
Giving her higher mobility or more detrimental effects when sick to survivors just pushes her way over the balanced line, short of maybe a 1 second hindered effect while vomiting! I for one wouldn't slow down whilst vomiting if I was running from a killer that wanted to kill me!
-
DS isn't this unstoppable force, there are so many way to counter it, including purposely eating the stuns early on! I'm not a very good killer but that's just common sense, or, take a chase without straying too far for a quick re-down and a hit on the healer! DS is not an issue and is not overly powerful, its offensive use is the issue!
On the other side though, the undying nerf wasn't called for, to such a magnitude as well! They could have taken a much better route. It's unfortunate as well because any post explicitly about this on the forums just gets bombarded by entitled survivors who think they are the be all and end all of this game! It's really unfortunate, because of the amount of community resistance (survivors), they wouldn't think about rebalancing undying!

Plague is completely balanced and actually one of the stronger killers in the game! She has alright mobility and a powerful but balanced ability with a no win scenario for survivors until they use every single fountain!
Also, not being easily tracked and not being broken is certainly incentive enough to cleanse, you go back to full health and won't be found by the plague every time you touch a gen!
Skin wise Vommy Mommy does need more attention for sure! All her skins are basically the same thing, very lacklustre, prestige III is cool though
-
@konchok said:
I'm not sure what needs to happen with plague but I do feel that she's the weakest killer in the game. I think she's a bit like Nurse where if you're really good she becomes better, but unlike Nurse that skill ceiling is much lower. So she's probably somewhat balanced, but only if you're really really good with her.
Overall, in my opinion she's just too difficult for too little reward.
pffft nooo! Trapper/Wraith/Clown are the weakest killers in the game
Vommy Mommy still has a high skill ceiling (but no skill ceiling is as high as nurses!)

As a Trapper main, I have a variety of ideas how to give him buffs to bring him up to mid tier. For example:
-2 traps base carrying capacity, starts with 2 traps, number of traps that spawn on the map unchanged
-Reworked bags: Trapper Sack +0/+1, Trapper Bag +1/+1, Stitched Bag +1/+2
-Range check for traps spawn: Bear traps can no longer spawn closer than 25 meters from the edges of the map
-Rescue time increased to 3,5 seconds (doubled from what its now)
-Escape attempt time 2 seconds at least with the upcoming rng change
-Stepping on a bear trap while healthy causes 5% hindered until fully healed
-Stepping on a bear trap while injured caused 5% hindered and deep wounds
-Stepping on a bear trap while in deep wounds causes 5% hindered and the honing stone effect
-Serrated Jaws swap rarity with rusted jaws and instead of hemmorage now cause 5% extra hindered
-Rainbow Map and Red Twine no longer reveal bear traps
-Rework of Object of Obsession
With these slight tweaks our boi Evan might be able to climb up to mid tier. He still would be nowhere near the potential of Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, PHead, Billy or Bubba, just a solid middle of the pack Killer.
I very much like your Pig changes, however I dont think shes in the top 10 Killers that need tweaks to be viable tbh.
This is basically spot on
Personally I also think he requires an add on rework, the iris are nice but there is nothing to change the way he plays drastically like so many other killers have, a way to trap interactions could be both terrifying and fun to play as and against.
Tar addon should become a camouflage kit so it changes a considerable amount to blend into where upon it is placed!!
3 seconds I think would be a bit better for the escape attempt

It takes years for simple obvious things like resetting your own traps as trapper to finally be pushed forward. Things generally move pretty slowly.
Cool
And trappers kit, in it's current state, needs an addon rework at least, preferably a way to stop him being the o n l y killer that wastes his o w n time get h i s POWER! Even just centralising the locations of his traps, this wastes less time and may help stop survivors identifying who the killer is before they even lay down a trap
Again, Trapper is one of I think three killers who has no control over the information his power provides to survivors out of LOS, three killers who reveal who they are which is out of their control (pig and plague are the others, but these are fair game mechanics which give them advantages in the long run), whilst this exposes the trapper without his control and inconveniences him by making him go out of his way!
