I feel an overwhelming urge to video a hag with coup de grace
-
You, my friend, are on
(I mean to be fair I don't like the UI changes for many multitudes of reasons, ease of access, the new icons and injured indicators, my issues with change, but we'll see how it plays)
-
Honestly if no mither as it is was invisible to the killer (like unbreakable or soul guard, both of which have no drawbacks), it would be amazing!
Good killers could still guess and calculate they have no mither whilst still giving the perk a use, and removing the insane amount of tunneling it brings because you're always broken!

Soul Guard + Hex interaction has been buggy af for a while now. Not very long ago, you could pick yourself up at all times with Soul Guard if the killer was running Hex: Retribution, no matter if it had already been cleansed or not. Tested it with a buddy in KYF and it was insane. It also costed a Deathslinger we faced an entire match, what would have been a 4K on endgame collapse actually turned into a 0K because a Cheryl randomly picked herself up (no UB, only SG, and Retribution was LONG gone) and rescued everyone. It was crazy. Idk if it has been patched -if it has, it was never mentioned in the patch notes. Should test it again I guess.
Also you guys are coming up with such great ideas that it's a bit depressing that Behavior is so slow to buff niche perks. I would love to see most of these ideas actually happen :(
Damn that sucks, I remember how clutch my first soul guard pick up was and without a fix that will never happen again!
and yeah some of these ideas are top notch, wish BHVR would actually read the forums more

I mean most bear traps can literally take a person's leg clean off or close to it.
In DBD they only hurt you a bit by default and don't slow you down, mess your leg up, nothing....and if you step in one while already hurt you don't get any more hurt at all. That's awfully generous.
Literally, remove dye addons and making honing stone basekit would be the realism option though, and we know that wont happen
edit: not that i'd want it to tahtd be terrible

For ruin, the cursed effect should be applied from when you leave a gen to when the totem is cleansed, so I guess that's a bug.
Ill try record a replication and if it happens again ill report it

No problem, I played wraith quite a lot and he is really fun.
This is mostly the build I use, depanding on what and how many items the survivors bring, I switch franklins and sloppy around and shadow born was for the rift challenge and that is always nurses.
So pop, nurses, bbq, and sloppy or franklins. 😉
Thankyou :))

Gonna reply to this a bit late but the hindered effect would also be massive, just for like 10 seconds, this could push Trapper's viability up a lot more whilst still not being overpowered!

I've had thoughts on trapper for a while now: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217168/give-trapper-some-qol-changes-buffs-please#latest
I like the killer but he has more weaknesses than like any other killer in the game; there is an entire mechanic that does nothing but screw with him and give you slight chances at an unhook for god's sake lol.
Yup i absolutely adore him but he is one of the worst killers in the game, even Otzdarva, one of the best Trapper players and a Trapper main (i believe), places him in the lowest tier, a whole tier lower than Legion as well
I'll give that a read now

Sounds like another bug. I haven't touched it in a while so I wouldn't have noticed. Has it ever, ever worked with ruin or lullaby before? Maybe in the PTB?
Not that I've noticed, I've only ever gotten up with soul guard against offensive curses (like devour or haunted), whenever I'm against ruin or lullaby it just says find help with the heal cap on!

It's based on if you're cursed or not, so you have to have touched a generator first.
Yeah I even tried this in a KYF lobby, I ended up even completing a full gen to make sure, it will not proc on ruin for me!

I'm not happy about the lack of grass on the new maps. It's wicked annoying that the face of Dead by Daylight keeps getting screwed over by the graphics updates. 😒 They need to make tar bottle and carrying extra traps base kit for him.
I think tar bottle should stay an addon, but logwood dye for sure should be basekit! Alternatively tar bottle just becomes a trap camoflague kit and it 'considerably' blends into the floor and surroundings, actually making trapper maybe slightly more balanced!
At this point I think they should rework his ability and addons, keep the bear traps, but they need to fix the fact that he's the only killer that wastes their own time getting their power, letting alone setting it up (I've lost due to a couple of missing traps I needed because my snowball started too early and I had no time to go and get them!)
Even if they dont rework that, brown bag for sure should be basekit! He needs an addon that completely change his playstyle, just like a dream pallet Freddy or a scratched mirror myers! He has no variation and most trappers are just cut and dry look at this obligatory trap I put here for you to disarm because it doesnt blend in and even if you did step on it im too far away collecting my power to do anything!

Unfortunately that is because mother's dwelling is the biggest map in dbd.
It is hard to pressure gens over there, not impossible but just very hard
Yoooooo! I just looked that up on wiki, that's insaneeeeeee! Thanks for the suggestion, I might become the ultimate blendette counter!

As a survivor I've used DS on a killer once, needless to say I just got more intensely tunneled, and I only ran it because my SWF forced me to!
I avoid it at all costs!
Personally when I play killer I'm also much less likely to give you a second chance if you had a ds you were very willing to use on me! You've had a second chance why would I give you another, though I'll never super tunnel someone because they used it!

I'm much the same way. Often getting DS'd for me means they better b e VERY good because if they make any mistake I WILL kill them for it. However if I am not DS'd I'll probably give them some leeway so they stay in the game longer- if you have DS you had your chance and I will use all of mine to make sure you die.
Especially if you are doing that locker nonsense or such.
Yup, you've had your second chance why would I give you another? This isn't tea party by daylight!

That's the problem, you NEED to bring tar bottle for that map otherwise hope you have a team of survivors that are completely oblivious to traps. You have limited areas to set the traps to actually be of any use, and unless the survivors are new they're going to know those spots to disarm/avoid the trap.
That's the thing about a lot of maps though, you either need to get lucky with clipping and grass (which they are shadow nerfing evan with by removing more and more foliage with graphics updates) when placing traps or hope to get really oblivious survivors! I often like to snowball with basement though so tar bottle is a complete and absolute must for me, those stairs become easy mode!

On the contrary, it’s only because of DS existence that I’ll partially tunnel survivors to get rid of the perk.
Exactly, in my opinion it makes more sense to eat the DS early game to avoid any complications when snowballing later on! If they don't have it its a free hook, and i'll let them run free next unhook if they don't have it!
-
Whatever you tried to achieve with this post didn't work, I can't even tell if you're being an entitled survivor or a killer acting like they're better at the game than killers who complain and ruin undying nerf (yet you think bamboozle is op, sooo... surely you can't be a killer main)

The Game, especially as Trapper. Already limited for where he can put traps and the pics of the rework make me dread it even more once it goes live. 😔 Not a fan of that map as survivor when I go against a Doctor, Nurse, or Freddy.
Really? I find the game as Trappy boi quite fun, if you luck out and brought tar bottle, the downstairs area is gonna be a breeze for you as long as you dont forget to watch your step while carrying someone, i've fallen victim to my own cunning too many times on that map!

Anyone but Trapper on Haddonfield is a nightmare for me!
If basement isn't in the treatment facility on Lery's my game is basically over, it becoems too difficult to zone with Trapper, at least at my skill level :((
Corn maps are really really annoying when im playing wraith or PH (especially, as they can see my massive triangle but I can not track them for the life of me!), and its too difficult to track through corn as wraith even with windstorm.

Honestly, a few of them already have imo. Oni is just Myers but way better. I'm just hoping that they EVENTUALLY buff poor Trapper eventually.
Yeah, a few of the killers have unique "sub-realms". Freddy has the Dream World, Demo and the Upside Down.
Mmm yeah, I never thought about Oni and Myers' similarities
I wish we had more interaction with the upside down as part of demogorgon gameplay, it may have ended up making him a lot more interesting and probably more viable

It's mainly the earlier characters. The new characters have fantastic writing. It's night and day to look at something like the twins or Blight, then look at something like "Machete man with daddy issues". The archives really deliberate on lore now. Trapper's archive gave him a lot more character.
As far as I understand (All this info is from the Wiki, so it might be wrong now) Spirit ACTUALLY operates in the Ethereal Plane.
Yeah, suppose its expected though, the older killers eventually will become the relics of the past wont they, much like poor Evan's kit that they r e f u s e to update
and cool, I thought it was too fancy not to be its own thing

I'd honestly rather a new game, but I'm pretty sure it won't happen.
Exactly. Cheryl must be quite the snack for the Entity, considering all the ######### she's gone through. Same with Laurie, Quentin... Ash.
I'm just kind of imagining the Entity waving it's spider, tentacle thing at Demo like a disappointed dog owner as Punishment.
Oh, yeah. Blinking *tears* her apart, as far as I understand. She and Wraith are the ones tied together the most, (Other than Kazan and Rin, being distant relatives) since they're the only two that operate in the "Spirit World", one of the realms within the Entity. It's why they can be lightburned. It makes me wonder if Wraith is in pain when Cloaked. Funny how the Spirit doesn't interact with the Spirit World at all.
Clown is kind of the same way. Honestly, even Legion's backstory is more boring to me than someone like Huntress, or Blight (who has the best lore in the game imo)
I have to agree, I feel like a lot of characters backstories were kinda cut and dry, more so on the killer side than survivor!
I'd love to know more snippets of information about characters like this, maybe we should put it in the next developer q&a?!
Yeah you'd think Spirit would, it'd be cool to get a lightburn on her as well, it would also add a way to actually mindgame spirit, depending on the spirit's skill level!

Admittedly, I don't know about Silent Hill 3 as much as I do SH2. I haven't even played any of them, regrettably, I haven't been super into the idea until recent years. And at first glance, the SH lore is a little... Bloated and confusing, but that's the case with a lot of games with a lot of lore and history. If the rumours of a Silent Hill 1 remake for PS5 are true, I'll have to make sure and get it (Even if I don't always think remakes are good for the industry.)
But, everything you said does make some sense considering the games' combined lore. I've always wondered why James wasn't the survivor instead (I mean, from a deal point it makes sense - They wanted something from the first three games. Midwich from SH1, PH from SH2 and Cheryl from SH3) but from a lore point, I think it's because James is kind of a bad person. And by kind of, I mean a really bad one. I mean, all of SH2 is about him coming into terms with what he's done, so...
I suppose another Head-Canon I have is that the Entity needs good people to be the Survivor's. It feeds off all the survivor's emotions, but the games put a focus on hope. Someone like James wouldn't have any hope left. A terrible person wouldn't have the emotions the Entity needs to feed.
Demogorgon is probably the biggest mystery to me, considering it just a beast, with somewhat of a hive mind with the Mind Flayer. I don't know how the Entity could possibly punish it when it's also there more than likely due to an agreement between two greater beings.
Evan isn't the only one who resisted at first. It's theorized that Wraith and Nurse did too, along with a few others probably. Wraith seemed to be a good man, and Nurse's blink sound is literally her screaming in pain from the blink, so I'm pretty sure they had to be tortured. You'd think Doc got tortured too, considering his appearance, but nope. Dude did that too himself, (far as I understand).
Compared to the rest of the Killer's, Doc is pretty... One dimensional.
Yeah, James is the guy who DCs when he's downed first.
Yeah exactly! Without any hope (which Cheryl has had to rely on for her whole life, including previous reincarnations, which you will come to better terms with if you do get the so rumoured remaster) the entity would have nothing to feed off of or enjoy, seeing as this is basically for sport in its eyes (if you can say that it has eyes).
Yeah more than likely Demopup has some sort of organised calling.
I knew about Wraith (im just a massive Evan fanboy so he would be my first choice), but the Nurse one is a shocker to me, guess i'm never playing nurse again :(( I feel bad!
Yeah Herman's just a massive jackass... rip killers with interesting lore but he built different.

About three days ago I had a trapper game on glenvale, I wasn't feeling it and just wanted to doss around, decided to lay a load of traps down the middle of the road, let the survivors do the gen in the middle
They finished and come over to start farming with my traps (which was great because i brought padded for BP). Then we went around getting pallets, a couple hooks and some hits and heals
It was an absolute blast!
I also had a billy game on coldwind yesterday where I just needed a chainsaw challenge, now, I'm currently an absolutely pathetic Billy so I couldn't get any chainsaws, I ended up just giving up and letting them go, but instead of leaving they came up and let me break pallets and down them a few times, it was great, they farmed a lil, i farmed a lil and i got the daily i'd been sitting on for a week

It's hard to garner exactly where PH really stands. He's only there as kind of like... A mutual agreement with the Entity. That's the canon explanation for his ability to ignore the Entity's rules (his cages instead of hooks), similar to how Demo works. It's only there because it wants to be.
I'm kind of the opinion that Pyramid Head really shouldn't be there, as it has no purpose to exist because James has more than likely already been punished, which means that *probably...
The Pyramid Head('s) shown in SH2 have killed themselves. They served their purpose, James has realized his guilt. Pyramid Head is James' Id, it has no purpose to exist without him. I'm pretty sure that if Pyramid Head had a face, it'd be a twisted horrific version of James' face.
But back to the main point, he's only there as part of an agreement with the Entity and I don't think it can punish him.
"There was an unspoken agreement in that moment. The billowing cloud was an invitation to duty and sadism, and Pyramid Head, taking a step into The Fog, accepted his obligation once more."
I'd be really interested to see how the Entity interacts with the beings it can't control, like Mikey and PH. Does it just kind of... Begrudgingly keep them? Lore-Wise, they probably perform pretty well, but the Entity has been shown to like control, just by the existence of the game in general.
(Warning, phat walls of text with some spoilers, I labelled the biggest spoiler but if you dont want SH3 in particular spoiled don't read this)
It does seem very out of place, though I dont think they could have chosen a better SH killer or survivor! There was a thread on the forums talking about lore explanation wise, especially with Cheryl (PHAT SPOILER) being the vessel to carry Silent Hill's god. Even as a remnant after throwing it up, she still contains the heart of silent hill, its effects and power chasing her for the rest of her life. The final phone call before she appears in the fog is theorised to be a final message from Silent Hill! It's likely, in a lore sense, Cheryl was begrudgingly given up by SH to the Entity to put out feelers, as with its power SH is likely a multidimensional being/power in and of itself
SH certainly does have some influence in the realm, with Cheryl being the only survivor able to call upon the entity (repressed alliance).
Now, with the fact that the effects and remnants of SH have followed Cheryl, or Heather, her whole life. With this in mind, and SHs likely influence within the Entity's realm, one might argue that SH forcibly manifested Pyramid Head even after having served his purpose, roaming Silent Hill to perform violent acts, likely in anger or annoyance at Heather's defiance, seeing as, even though the Entity's realm is timeless, they were likely taken in after the events of SH3, seeing as PH would have no other reason to exist/manifest until after SH3.
(And yes, if he has a face, its James in some form, for sure)
Back on track, if SH instead manifested PH as it (likely being a multidimensional being) felt or saw the Entity's calling before it came, to put out more feelers, additionally, the punishment PH would exact within the realm would have a chance to fuel SH as a being or power. If we ever were to see more SH characters or even legendary skins this could be seen as SH sending out more and more influence into the realm.
I think the Entity assumes it has some control over PH, and likely does, being, probably, one of SH's more minor manifestations (based on his multiple iterations and appearances). But the limit of interaction it has is probably keeping it away from desires or violence, operating of SH's power.
Of course this whole idea in itself is absolutely ######### if the Entity has the ability to basically pull the plug on external influences and shut it off, though perhaps there would be weakness when it's looking for more survivors and/or killers in other dimensions.
(All of that aside, yes I'd love to see how the Entity interacts with all the different killers in punishment and reward, I want to know particularly his interactions with the demogorgon, being mostly a beast, and Evan (who originally heavily resisted aiding the entity).)
-
The slowdown, without ether, is best utilised when chained, otherwise its minute at best! Especially if they are at the edge of the cloud and not the centre as it allows a quick exit from the aoe.
I dont think either is n e e d e d but it sure does it make it better
Like trying to play trapper without a bag addon, its harder for sure, requires more foresight, but can still be rewarding! It's up to you how you wanna build it!

@NomiNomad said:
My personal head-canon is that the Entity tortures the Killer's in different ways if they don't perform well during the trials.
Killers like Wraith, Nurse, Trapper: Tortured physically, caused pain. Perhaps tortured mentally as well- The Nurse see's her patients, Trapper his Father, Wraith see's Azarov.
Killer's like Ghostface and The Legion however... I think Ghosty get's taunted, see's newspaper articles of his capture. He's (probably) extremely narcissistic, that would be far better torture than physical pain.
The Legion, whichever member failed the Entity, is kept from the group for a set amount of time.
The Blight is deprived of his fix, or just tortured.
Deathslinger is put back into jail, taunted by the men he hates from the outside.
Oni has to watch as the Samurai are dishonored, taunted and called "Oni Yamaoka".
But it also can't torture a few of them. Michael, Pyramid Head, Demo - just to name a few. It can't control any of them. Probably Fredster as well.
Pig *might* see Jigsaw, disappointed in her for ruining his game.
Just to name a few.
PH was created through James' desire for punishment (I've also read hidden homoerotic tendencies, which explains a lot lmaoo) within the confines of SH. PHs only goal and desire is to lay out retribution, pain and punishment. It's his gut instinct.
Going off of this, one could imagine the Entity might deprive him of primal desires like violence and sexual release/frustration (which he exhibits a couple of times in SH2 cutscenes).
PH is mentally, probably more animal instinct than anything, so much like a dog, he could be conditioned to learn that survivors escaping is bad and he will he punished accordingly!!

Hi, me again, not here to argue lmao
I remember reading that Evan originally resisted against the entity for a large amount of time, and was tortured and caused great physical grievance, this may be displayed by the metal jutting out of back in his base skin! I like to head canon he is glad when the survivors escape!

Knockout has been the object of my obsession for years. Unfortunately, I keep getting tiny maps and heroic teammates, so it’s useless. I’d like to see the detection range decreased significantly, maybe to the single digits. Of course, if I’m playing survivor, that would be absolutely awful, so I can understand why nobody wants that.
For the survivor side, head on has been the love of my life for many years. I think the stun time should be increased, among other things; it is an exhaustion perk, after all.
Beyond both of those combined, I would literally marry autodidact. I just wish that skillchecks were more consistent.
Distortion definitely needs a rework; giving it some way to regenerate tokens would do wonders.
Flip flop would also be nice at punishing killers who refuse to pick me up with a 12 foot pole. Perhaps bump up the conversion rate.
Furtive chase definitely needs a rework too. I love the idea; it rewards killers for not tunneling a single survivor with its obsession switching, but the incentive is so useless that nobody would run it. It gets rid of the terror radius at the only part when I don’t care about my terror radius.
I love soul guard, but I won’t really use it unless it gets self-pickup priority over unbreakable. Repressed alliance is cool too, but it’s so situational that I really don’t use it.
I live soul guard but whenever I use it, it doesn't proc with hexes like ruin or lullaby! It has to be something like noed or haunted grounds to work, do you get this as well?
-
I used to use blood pact a lot because with my friend we could run shack loops on the killer for most of the match/until they gave up, with the speed boost. The aura reading on the obsession was also useful, especially with the heavy amount of DS users we are seeing right now!
I've interchanged this for spine chill and resilience, it allows me to loop for longer without reliance on others, plus spine chill is useful, especially when opening gates or commiting to a generator!
-
(Sorry for the wall of text but I spent about an hour doing this so please read it :)) )
I think in theory, this is excellent! I'm going to go through and state my views on each of these myself!
Dead Hard - Nope, no, no, no! Absolutely not!! The amount of times dead hard refuses to proc and I'm instantly downed (not even halfway through my dead hard), and I'm exhausted on the ground, either because of bad killer ping or dedicated servers (I'm on lan, so it ain't me). Additionally, it's too difficult to get back in a chase, unless you're being hard tunneled by the killer and it's a long chase! A lot of people use it to dodge hits only to get smacked down a second after because the killer predicted, when its main use is as a loop extension tool, so even the nerf others have suggested where you lose chase interaction for a few seconds, just doesn't make sense, as it completely negates the reason to ever have the perk as a safety net (which is what most survivor (and killer) perks are meant to be!). In my opinion, all exhaustion perks (maybe except adrenaline), aren't in a state to be altered or reworked or nerfed right now, due to the exhaustion effect of the perk!
Generators - Yeah I have no idea on this one, short of having a pregame EGC where gens are undoable, this would be optimal for setup killers, but also gives chase killers an unfair advantage, as they have this whole portion of time where they can tunnel someone (or just down loads of people if hooks are blocked as well)! Short of the entity blocking the map down the middle to encourage survivors to cleanse totems (unfair to killer) and open chests, and the killer to wait and/or setup, this wouldn't be optimal.
Borrowed Time - BT in essence is an anti-dumping perk, making it a full health rescuer only completely narrows any chance the rescuee will have chance of escape if tunneled afterwards as well. Against instadown killers (or NOED killers in endgame) this becomes even unfair. One of the reasons BT is viable is it guarantees the 1 for 1 scenario, that buys the team more time to finish gens or heal and coordinate a rescue, whilst preventing the previously hooked persons sacrifice!
Iron Will - IW is absolutely balanced, especially against perks like Stridor it becomes ineffective anyway, all counters to IW are complete hard counters, plus, it's a waste of a perk slot, if it wears off like Lucky Break (much like Lucky Break is a waste of a slot outside of a niche build or extreme level teamwork).
Items - Keys deserve a nerf for sure, but blocking the use of one key for multiple people, one, blocks the four person hatch escape achievment, two, means whole SWF lobbies are gonna be bringing keys and or keys effectively become useless, short of blood amber builds and stuff, no one is gonna use them for stuff like chests, maybe exit gates but even that is a stretch, most certainly only in dire consequences. Medkits in and of themselves I think are in a good state and removing charges would in effect make them not worth it, brown medkits are barely one heal by themselves! In their current state either toolboxes aren't in a state to be nerfed after their previous nerf, they give extra gen speed but short of a whole lobby of max charge addon commodious toolboxes, they aren't that powerful (not including BNPs), but you seem them rarely anyway!
Adrenaline - I mostly agree with this! Adrenaline in and of itself is a semi permanent rush, and the bringing down of one health state (after a period of time) I feel makes perfect sense. If it were to operate as: you are injured, adrenaline procs, you are healthy for 30 seconds and receive a 3 second haste boost ( as per usual), oh no, the killer hit you, you are now injured, at the exit gate adrenaline wears off, you go into dying state. In the alternative scenario you aren't injured, you would just go back to injured state after your healthy 30 secs.
Object - This perk is a double edged sword, which most survivors end up impaling themselves on. This perk in and of itself can be a complete counter to killers like trapper depending on the effectiveness of the OoO user. But it generally results in hard tunneling and face camping, especially due to its usual use to be toxic. Yesterday someone with object waved me over whenever I looked at them at the same time and tea bagged and flashy clicked the whole time I was anywhere near them, I ended up ignoring them for most of that match (and got a 4k), but unfortunate to say this is a common occurrence! In my opinion I don't think OoO is a fair perk and should have some heavily based condition, like the killer is looking in your direction as well. I have absolutely no idea though, even as survivor I find this perk more of a hindrance to the team than a help, as the user is usually tunneled all match and attempts to save usually result in needless sacrifice.
I didn't go into this reply expecting to argue against so much of what you said so I'm sorry for that, but, this is my personal opinion on these things!
Thanks for reading have a nice day!

I'd say adrenaline is whack too. Just make it like 20/25/30s of enduring instead of a heal and it'd be good imo
If they were to ever change borrowed time I hope they see this. I don't think they should, but adrenaline is in too much of a balanced state right now for it to be changed! And the DS Unbreakable complaints have a chance of ending in a UB nerf :((

How much of an entitled survivor are you that you think a 9 meter reduction to the Tr, with one survivor left, is meant to be good perk. That's literally worse than how the perk is now. How can manage to downgrade furtive chase?
It doesn't even synergize with any of the perks you mentioned. To get tokens for your version of Furtive Chase, you need to kill the obsession. Play With Your Food, Dying Light, and Save The Best For Last all revolve around you letting the obsession go, not hooking or killing them. Do your research.
I don't want every perk to be broken, I want them to be usable. Because right now furtive chase is garbage, and your joke of a rework of it is even worse.
9 meters is not "massive", that gives the survivors like one or maybe two extra seconds to start running, AT THREE KILLS. I'm literally losing my sanity trying to figure out a use for this.
It's clear that you have no idea what you're talking about, and I have other things to be doing as well. So this will be my last reply. (At least I'm going out with a less entitled one mister "I won't be dignifying you with a further reply."
I actually play a rather large amount of killer, and I'm saying all these things because of the change to the obsession
I'm no entitled survivor, I just don't want easy mode lmao.
Those "two or three seconds" which is more realistically 1 if you're coming from around the corner, is the difference between a pallet or an extra two metres to the exit!
I don't know how you couldn't see a positive in there, but 9 metres is a pretty thick reduction as an on the side affect for an obsession based perk!
Also, don't mister me, the only thing you've done is act like your smarter than me when you can't even spend two minutes putting logical thought into the situation...

I am seriously failing to understand how a 9 meter reduction to your Tr at end game does literally anything. Your version of OP's perk fails to accomplish literally anything better than M&A.
It doesn't need to be better than M&A to be good at its job.
I'm sure you just want every perk to be amazing so you can have great synergy and destroy, but some things need separate preparation and have to be niche/synergies with other things.
Idk what you have to gain by telling me I'm wrong, but if there is anything, you aren't getting it
9 metres is massive, and permanent with 1 survivor left, combining this with the obsession mechanic makes it a powerful perk in conjunction with others like STBFL and PWYF
Anyway, I wont be dignifying you with a further reply you're just making me repeat myself

I am not talking about Killer here so please do not transform this into a whataboutthis forum. This has nothing to do with killer.
Exhaustion perks are extremely broken, specifically sprint burst and dead hard. These two perks are the sole reason for the majority of my losses as killer. Not DS, not unbreakable, not BT, Sprint Burst and Dead Hard are easily the most busted perks for survivor. Sprint Burst and Dead Hard have zero requirements aside from pressing a button.
The least you can do for sprint burst is lower the burst of speed from 3 seconds to 2 seconds. Dead Hard should prevent survivors from being able to vault a window or drop a pallet after use.
I don't particularly like Lithe and Balanced Landing either, but it is much easier to counter those because there are environmental requirements to even activate these two. I personally would still recommend nerfing Balanced Landing to 2 seconds. Lithe is fine as is.
Nerfing any and all exhaustion perks to this extent effectively makes it useless!
I understand the famous "E to outplay" perk is annoying, I dont like when people dead hard out of a calculated dead end I've created, but it's the way things go, we have perks to circumvent things survivors do to outplay us, just because we dont like it doesnt mean survivors shouldn't get it!
But preventing chase interactions after use literally makes it useless, dead Harding doesnt give enough distance for a chase advantage, it gives enough distance to CREATE a chase advantage
In the end
Posts like this make people look entitled
On both ends stuff like this could be argued
The only thing that is worth pointing out is DS Unbreakable because yeah that is broken
But exhaustion perks are completely manageable, not to mention you're very unlikely to get them back in a chase unless it's a very, very long one, in which case the exhaustion perk is earned back, even then, a smart killer would have left the survivor by then to create pressure!!
So... in short, no, exhaustion perks should not be nerfed that's a bloody stupid idea

I did?
For a perk that would require three kills to get, a nine meter reduction to your Tr does absolutely nothing, hell I'd say that's worse than how furtive chase is now. Like it's literally just worse M&A. A six meter reduction to your Tr is not insane in the slightest, for how much work you'd have to put in to get three tokens, an 18 meter reduction is completely fair. This change is good, but even with the numbers that OP suggested, the perk still seems weak to me.
But it makes a massive difference
M&A exclusively revolves around the fluctuation of terror radius
While in this suggested form it becomes a support perk to things like PWYF and STBFL (more so than PWYF), and possibly even dying light at end game! It creates anti tunneling and eventually becomes a perk than negates a large amount of terror radius
9 metres is still a massive distance for gaining on a survivor in a chase, it can make all the difference between escape or not!
Idk why you keep changing my suggested values
9 metres is the optimal number amount for this perk
Like I said, please read it properly

The thing is, you wouldn't avoid anything. Racists keep being racists, with or without the face. The only thing you can do is to report those ***** to get rid of them. Seriously, removing/replacing that wouldn't change anything. They probably would dodge lobies until they get a Claudette to facecamp and mori or whatever. And I am 90% sure "they" would regard it as success, if BHRV would remove smartface from the game. So hell no, keep everything as is and just and please report them
Also, if there is a filter to automatically forward these reports, then, its gonna die out eventually/a lot faster
There will always be racists, yes, that isn't fine, but neither is not attempting to provide a thought out, effective solution, which is what you are doing...

I never once said removing smartface alone, or the idea completely was a good idea!
I don't know what it is with people not reading things properly on this forum but it happens an awful lot!!
Please try again, better luck next time...

Thank you for understanding!
That's why I recommended we take away the faces (all of them, not just Claudette's) and give the people who have earned those cosmetics the alternatives I listed. That way the rights holders don't feel jipped, people who have earned those cosmetics get something in exchange, and blackface is effectively removed out of DBD.
Your idea was incredibly well thought out and articulated, how could I not understand!

How does nine meters negate the Tr? That's literally just M&A.
On a killer like death slinger, a 6 metre cut off could completely eliminate his terror radius fast asf
That's why I suggested 9 metres as a better alternative, because it cant completely negate a tr on it's own that way, please read my comment before replying...

The intention was to keep the meme factor while making the perk less punitive to use. The only way to make No mither usable is to have the perk not display the broken status to the killer.
I personally think this is the most effective thing anyway. It's still more memey than unbreakable, but is unlimited while still providing a handicap (always injured), giving it a higher skill ceiling! (Also unbreakable is invisible why can't no mither?)

That's the players. They could also play Claudette using racist profile names? Wanna remove every black character from the gema to fix that? Actually removing the smartface would be kinda racist
I need to go so I cant type a while, but read my phat wall of text I put here and you'll see possible strategies to target and avoid behaviour such as this

Monstrous Shrine!
For a perk with so much potential for strong basement killers, they completely botched it
All of the bonuses are absolutely useless!!
There was a thread where a massive list of killer perks had suggested changes and/or reworks
The change there to Monstrous Shrine absolutely got me buzzed at the idea!
Basically outside of a certain distance to the basement/shack, hooked people ( and maybe visitors I cant remember) get penalties, and you get a speed boost! Smart

Maybe -- and bear with me here -- they could remove this whole mechanic and these cosmetics.
In theory that's a definite yes, but in execution this would cause more problems than solutions! Outrage from fans and lack of LF cosmetics
Additionally issues with the contract BHVR made with TCM right holders!
Plus, like I said, and even further with removal of the cosmetic system, its inadvertent racism.
(Also I couldn't tell if you were being passive aggressive towards me or not please clarify)
