I've been pretty much maining demogorgon when he came out. He suffers from a lot of the same issues as Trapper. With the right setup, he can have great pressure, but getting that setup takes time, and since his portals don't instantly end chases, chasing takes time too. His add-ons are mostly really bad, and don't make a difference if you run them, with the exception of the deer lung and red moss. The upside down resin is nice, but doesn't help you end chases and doesn't extend the timer by too much longer for a very rare. He's fun to play as and against, but without some tweaks I think he'll remain a mid tier killer. He needs a little more oomph to be threatening, and I believe that his kill ratio will reflect this whenever we get it.

You could try Nvidia GeForce. I've heard their might be some stuff there to help make it easier for you to spot things? They might have a colorblind in there somewhere too.
-
Double blood points always has longer killer queues. Queue times were almost instantaneous before the event started. I'm sure it'll return once the event over. Not meta-theory necessary.
-
Yeah killer adepts are a total pain. My only advice is stock up on map offerings, because stealth killers are going to be significantly easier on lerys or Hawkins and non stealth killers are going to want a smaller map like one of the originals.
-
I agree with some of the comments here. I think the grind is healthy. I'm hitting 2,000 hours soon, and believe me, it's not because I just love the gameplay. Working to level up characters and get more items and Add-ons to use is nice. There's people who hate that. I'm one of the people who love it. It keeps me coming back to the game and makes it so I always have something to works towards, even if it's just restocking my spark plugs on Billy.
-
The Hawkins lab, the Gen by the rift. It's pretty safe as survivor, and I love the aethetics. It's just a fun area of the map to play in, especially against a demogorgon.
-
I honestly just read this as satire. I can't take it seriously.
-
So much this. If I didn't get so much crap for losing, I wouldn't have to try so hard to win is the way I see it. Be gracious in your victory, be gracious in your defeat, and everyone will enjoy the game so much more.
-
Surprised no one had mentioned prestiging. When I'm about to burn through everything I paid for, it's 20+ games with mori time.

Hmm but that person wants to have fun and not see their character get knifed or eaten or such, no?
It's fun winning. With looping, fun is easy for the survivor. Hence its not fun for killers. So why wouldn't they complain about it? Surely if you understand people wanting to have fun you understand why killers dislike looping.
-
The downside is the game being flooded with moris and high rarity items like keys and insta heals. They used to do triple blood points, but they had to stop because it opened the floodgates on the blood point "economy." It follows the same rules of a real economy as well. To balance out the increased blood points, they'd have to increase the costs of high rarity items so there wouldn't a large amount of them, leading to it costing the same and nullifying having more blood points. It's a balance thing.

Better question: When is WGLF gonna have an actual effect?
Doesn't need one! I'd take healing giving tokens over an effect any day.
-
It's frustrating because you can be helping your team and not be receiving stacks either because you healed the teammate instead of unhooking them, or you got caught up with the wonky protection hit detection and didn't get a token despite helping a teammate. It's lame.
-
I'd give some counter analogy of something killers have to put up with, but I'm honestly too lazy. It's annoying, and it takes too long to play through. As the killer, you're pressured for time. Time management is probably the second most important aspect of winning, right behind map pressure. Making one wrong swing in a loop will extend your chase time by 30+ seconds. I don't wanna play perfectly all game so I can have a chance of catching people, I just want to come home and relax playing dbd. Running in circles in pseudo infinites after a balanced landing survivor in a building with a ton of pallets nearby is not fun.
-
The nice thing about the portals being inactive though is that survivors can't see them. I hate having to rush back to defend my portals, it'd only be worse if I had to do it before I even got a chance to travel through them.
-
I've been playing almost exclusively demogorgon. Queue up with me!
-
People who run up in the middle of a chase to bodyblock. My logic is if they want my attention, they can have it! So then I switch targets and proxy camp them depending on how annoying they are.

Well the problem is Haddonfield.
There's no place to put it, they'd have to make one.
There's another map or 2 like that.
Probably not worth the effort for 1 Offering.
They could just make it so that if the offering, "conflicts" with the map, it just gets returned to your inventory like what already happens in certain interactions.
-
We're gonna live forever. It literally does nothing for me. I'd probably get some more points if I took a perk to help me survive. But man I'm totally addicted. Hearing that clink after I unhook someone or take a bodyblock is so so satisfying. I need therapy.
-
It's just for the last survivor in general. The same as if you had a really good game and someone escaped by the skin of their teeth. Sounds like a bad game, everyone gets them.

That idea was discarded. Trapper was standing right next to the Steve that was downed nearby the exit gate and the other one there was nobody there.
No, it wasn't. The killer opened the gate.
-
I think it has the same problem as it did before. Getting hit with it once is pretty strong, and you can make up for it. 2 or more times against a decent group and the game is over, plain and simple.
-
Pennywise. He would pretty much be the only character they could add that I would refuse to buy except for Chucky.
-
Yes, it was a long needed change that will prevent newer and returning killers from dealing with toxic groups and prevents people from using their low rank friends for easier games.
-
Most fun to face is the Demogorgan, the atmosphere in a game against the Demogorgon is amazing. The global effects and sound effects are excellently done. His shred ability makes chases exciting, and his portals make it so you have to pay attention to your surroundings, meaning you're not just bored when you're not in a chase.
Least favorite to face is the spirit. She's annoying at best, there's no indication to tell whether or not she's phasing when you're within her terror radius, she doesn't have a vault animation, and most of the time just taking a first hit and getting injured will end the chase for you.
-
I don't know man, I play a lot of killer and I disagree with a couple of these.
-
I'm not sure. People just seem to really hate Nancy players. I've always been chewed out when I played as nacy for something or other. Usually for not diving after a teammate when the killer slugs for the 4k.

So we just played against the new demogorgon. Not to bad of a killer. Only a few question and complaints. Charge time seems to fast. what is the approx charge time.
On to complaint #2
The pallet breaking thing seems to much. My wife was being chased threw the pallet stunned him he broke it and she went down. All at the same time I think that's a problem. Yes he can break the pallet that's fine. But shouldn't be able to hit to. What yall think?
It's the exact same thing with every other killer with a pallet breaking ability. If they hit the pallet while a survivor is on it, they get a hit and a break. My advice would be if you know you're going to get hit, don't vault and save the pallet for later. (Especially since the shred isn't an instant down attack.)
-
I'm sure it'll end up being more QOL than a huge balance change. It's just convienent at letting him clear pallets out earlier in the match, which anyone that's been playing demogorgan at high ranks knows, he desperately needed.
-
What?
-
Killers can be toxic too
*hasn't played at rank 1 yet.*
Sorry dude. I have a friend that was brand new to the game who started maining killer. Fun to play with, great sport. It only took him 50 in game hours before he started going gg ez every game he's won, because he got BM'ed so much as killer. Playing against toxic survivors does something different to people.
-
Demogorgan doesn't have a global sound effect for his teleport.
Open handed will multiple survivors within 8 meters to see auras revealed to any one of them.
-
I agree with the OP. I'm not sure why pennywise would ever be a good idea. People just want him in the game because he's iconic, which I think is stupid. He doesn't fit in the game, and the idea of him being in the game feels very forced.

I’ve hardly seen any demogorgons either, is everyone thinking the same? That it’s just not worth the price point? Or that he’s not exciting enough to play?
I’m sad and confused, playing against the demogorgon is really fun and I wish I’d see more of them.
This is exactly the problem though. Demogorgan is fun to play against, but not so fun to play as.
As soon as he teleports survivors are on your portals because of the global sound cue, then you get into a chase, except you can hardly mind game because they can hear you step stomping around any walls, making it easy to maximize loops. His shred attack can cover ground, but doesn't instantly down survivors like a chainsaw, and has even less control, meaning the only time you'll ever get a hit is when the survivor has nowhere to go but in a straight line, which anyone whose played against a looper knows, is hardly ever the case. Playing as the demogorgan feels frustrating and unintuitive.
-
You're forgetting a couple. I'm assuming The Hag and Demogorgan were out on a date at the time this tier list was made?

They have already said what the new addon will be, it's going to Tremendously increase the Undetectable duration after coming out of a portal and Tremendously increase the cooldown on it.
Honestly all it needed was the increase Undetectable and it would be alright. The extra negative thrown on it just ruins it entirely. I don't understand the obsession with putting unneeded negatives on every ultra rare that isn't good enough to warrant it. This is why most killers ultra rares aren't their best addons.
His ultra that allows him to see injured during portal WOULD be nice if you could move your camera to look around but that just isn't the case, which leaves it extremely lack luster.
Wow, that really is not useful at all. It sucks because leprose lichen is kinda just a deadweight, but tremendously increased cooldown means the add on actively hurts the killer. Being undetectable for that long would be nice, but I wouldn't think it's worth losing so much map pressure.
-
No. It's buggy and only activates twice a match, if you're lucky. More than likely you won't be able to use it. Bring a standard healing perk or a medkit.
-
It's totally different than urban though. Urban evasion doesn't speed up your character. Makes you a lot more stealthy sure, but you move at the same walk speed. Fixated makes you actually move faster than you normally would, without leaving scratch marks or loud footsteps or heavy breathing. With that added benefit of being able to see your scratch marks while running. Leaving the uninjured requirement on is justified.
-
What I want is for the Demogorgan to be able to turn while traveling through the portals. Teleporting towards the edges of the map is annoying, because you come up facing the wall, giving survivors free time to run away without you being able to track them. Also the leprose lichen is worthless for this reason as well. Unless they can injured survivor happens to be in the direction you're traveling, you won't see the aura.
-
I think it's interesting people want surge to be map wide. I was thinking that'd be better suited for cruel containment. That way the killer would be able to capitalize on it significantly easier, when a gen pops when you're in a chase you'd get a benefit.
Plus surge applies regression, so if they made it mapwide they'd have to take that out.
-
Is there a reason the Demogorgon has to place the portals on flat ground? I could understand not being able to place them on steep inclines such as the hills or staircases, but even the gentle slopes on the edges of the swamp maps are enough to create large dead zones where you can't place any of your portals.
-
If it ain't Dwight, it ain't right.
-
Yes, they still increase vault speed. Resilience even states so in its definition.
-
Don't forget, two of the DLC's were put out for free, including the one that lets you get we're gonna live forever, the survivor counterpart of BBQ. You can wait for the perks to hit the shrine, or you can get the character after a small grind with shards, which will let you get the character in addition to their three perks.
-
All we need are some finger guns so I can say hey when the survivor is on the hook to troll them instead of unhook spamming.
-
Eh, I like em. I suggested changing tbe values by 25% so you could actually make a profit a long time again, seeing that actually happen with the BP offerings was cool. Just throw one on each game and don't even think about it. Or, if you're playing a certain role, put one on for what you think your highest category will be.

The thing that gets me is the CONSTANT double standards. Im pretty sure at this point he's just someone who really really likes to whine. He usually plays survivor, always complaining about tunnelikg/camping killers, add-ons, perks, the whole deal. Then as soon as he plays killer, he's tunneling, complaining about pallet looping (which he does every match) the whole works. He's not even consistent in his incompetence.

Name: "Box" Bowman
Caucasian - Aryan
Default outfit - A maroon button up with black jeans.
Role: A highly argumentative, logical survivor, with perks helping him balance his selfishness and altruism.
Perks:
Sharing is caring:
You charismatic presence almost always convinces people to work with you. When within an 4/6/8 meter range of other survivors, any auras revealed to them will ne revealed to you, and any auras revealed to you will be revealed to them. This effect only applies to up to 1/2/3 different survivors at a time.
"Look, you can work with or without me, but one option is really going to hurt you!"
Bibliophilia:
Your great care for literature and knowledge has translated into power in the entity realm. The first chest you search is guaranteed to contain a map. Map tracking range is increased by 8 meters. Increases map efficiency by 100%.
"I've always wanted to be a lawyer. Paperwork is tedious, but there's always something you can find."
Agliophobia:
Your intense fear of pain drives you forward in dire situations. Upon being hit by the killer, your speed boost duration is increased by 2 seconds. Additionally, the killers cool down for attacks against you is increased by 10/15/20%. Causes exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
Back story:
Box had always been a passionate scholar. Despite coming off as a nerd, his passionate charisma was almost always enough to secure a high social standing, setting him far above the runts that usually get picked on. He used this as well as his intelligence to excel both inside and outside of the classroom.
Few know of where he got his nickname of Box. Some actually think its his real name. Regardless, he always liked the mysticism it gave him, and never bothered enough to clear up any misunderstandings concerning his real name.
One foggy night one a way home from work, he felt a bump underneath his car. Slowing down about a half mile down the road, he decided to walk back to figure out what it was. He would never find out. Fate had other plans for wanderers of the fog.
(Kinda skimped on the story, sorry.)
