That's true but a nerf to one perk does not equal a buff to another.
Not necessarily, but wasn't DS literally the only thing affected by the enduring nerf? Was Head-on around when nerf happened?
Edit: Looked in to it, Head on was around for one chapter before the enduring nerf. Still, I think its easy to say that this nerf to enduring was a boon to decisive strike.
-
Its usually since that other survivor is working on a gen or totem. Additionally the survivor being chased might be wounded, so leaving them alone for a bit in exchange for a fresh wounding is probably the best play.
-
IIRC standing near a hooked survivor for too long will actually subtract scoring from this emblem. A better description seems needed.

Neither botany knowledge or desperate measures make any specific note as to what kind of healing is benefited. The fact that desperate measures is worded similarly, but does not have the effect may be a bug.

They cut his best add on IN HALF. Leave him alone.
By reducing the radius and time in half, you can argue that the total area of exposure was actually reduced to an eighth of what it was.

watching people play him i get the sense that his dash is similar to billy in controls and switches to nurse blink window type event when you hit something is this not true?
There is a similar glide found in oni and billy, and a similar "grace period" as found in the nurse, but it feels more angular and rigid than those killers.
-
He is a solid killer with some sick perks and add ons. Overall a really fun addition to the game.
Two changes I would like to see however are:
Removing the scoring event for revealing people who should have their aura's hidden with compound 21.
Improve his flick.
Edit: Fix his POV, this might be a bug issue however.

Unfortunately, that's a big issue with exhaustion perks in general.

It should be more clear.
Maybe just some reminder text like "sacrifices and disconnects count towards this challenge"

Wasn't sure if you knew about it.
I wasn't initially tbh, i agree with you thats probably something else that should be made clear.

Its annoying as all heck. Its a really poor part if the survivor experience. Adding skillchecks would offer more opportunities for offerings and perks too.

Just to let you know, unless it was changed, DCs do count towards that challenge, if they have been hooked before.
Yeah, got a challenge finished that way because I used shroud of separation.

Might be awareness of the ds glitch. Might be less people running ds due to the glitch means there are matches with no obsession. Might be both.

the majority of players do not enjoy stealth which is why it sucks to have killers where all you can do is hide
I'm not really a fan of going against doc or plauge either, but the variety is enjoyable in its own way.

Dribbling was countered by swfs and atleast 1 smart solo player to bodyblock for the obsession. 35% was achieved almost every wiggle. I ran DS permanently back in the day.
Sure it's like everyone has obsession but I mean still you have to be hooked. You could prevent hooks.
Not to mention the enduring nerfs made ds more viable.

yes and stealth is boring killers should have chase counterplay, its the only thing that keeps people playing survivor long term.
Some of us like stealth gameplay, the variety of killer and survivor types is a stregnth of this game.

You have to be hooked to use it. That is a major nerf.
I mean, they also got rid of its primary counterplay and made it viably usable 4 times a match rather than once.

stealth is so unbelievably boring for survivor, no one wants to play dbd to hide. killers should have counters that dont involve not getting found
Different Killers have different counters. Stealth works better against spirit than doc for example.

the new hotfix was supposed to fix multiple bugs, one being the heartbeat bug. me and a buddy of mine were playing against a clown. we were on a generator and out of nowhere he gets grabbed off and as he's getting grabbed neither of us still have no heartbeat. after he gets hooked i finally hear a terror radius. i got hit once and immediately lost a heartbeat (no i was not blind/oblivious/hindered yet. little did i know he was right on me. this NEEDS to get fixed. this is the 4th game today it has happened. 1 clown, w huntresses and a trapper. and yes i'm good at the game so don't tell me i'm just not skilled, there's a reason it's called a heartbeat and terror radius. but when you're not allowed to hear one, that's near impossible.
Was Huntress' lullaby affected at all, or just her heartbeat?

I wish they had made the "kill all survivors by any means" challenge more clear.
Turns out it just means "sacrifice all four survivors to the entity"
There was no need for me to use iri-belt and ivory on huntress to get those challenges.

the text is updated, but the updated effect isn't actually active yet, probably will be in the next patch - just like what happened with Billy addons
Even tested in KYF, timed it to be 100% sure even though it's obvious, was 6 seconds
Can you still get the scoring event even if you don't reveal any auras?

Even 8m for 3 sec is ridiculous. 5 slams, 40m worth.
Five 8m circles is only 1/5th the area of one 40 meter circle, and thats with zero overlap. Cutting the radius in half reduces the area by four.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/discussion/comment/1624433#Comment_1624433
Compound 21 now reveals survivors in a 8m radius for 3 seconds.
The effect supposedly is still unchanged, it is merely the description of the item that has changed. It still lasts for 6 seconds.
-
I also don't like how they didn't tell us about stuff like the generator noise rework and the add on nerfs that are in the hotfix.

I feel bad for the guy also. Though I will say I think there's one slight issue with them creating the Legion akin the way we wanted it.
With that much time creating a face that would change based off what's happening it would take too much time and effort for a rift skin. If the skin was buyable then I'd imagine they would've done it. Also imagine the amount of bugs and glitches that would've came out with this skin.
Let's think of some random ones for fun:
- Certain faces can't be flashlighted
- Certain faces don't appear at the correct time
- Multiple faces appear at the same time, overlapping each other
Tbh that last one sounds like an amazing feature worthy of a final rift skin.

Check in game. The text has definitely changed.
Which is half the issue, they don’t include all changes in the notes so people are never sure whats intentional and what is a bug.
Compound 21 though has definitely received the nerf already.
Dang you are right, I guess when BHVR said that 'here's all the changes' that wasn't entirely correct. Anything else change?

The issue is that the counterplay is way easier to pull off than what The Blight player has to do to get the hit. The Blight has to pretdict, plan a route, aim the bumps correctly and then hit. As a survivor you only have to move to the side. Appart from that, I do think there is other counterplay: stay in loops (where he cannot use his power most of the time), put a lot of objects between you and him, loose line of sight and be unpredictable, go to where he is going to slam, and obviously usage of pallets and windows but that goes without saying. At least that's what I've been struggling with while playing Blight.
That being said, I understand your worries of (yet) another uncounterable killer. It is not my intention to not give survivors any coutnerlpay, just to make him less frustrating, clunky, and a bit more fun.
Yeah, I think the suggestion most commonly held is to make his lunge out of power more like oni's, rather than spirit.
-
@Avarice10 said:
No, decisive strike has been nerfed countless times, it's already a shadow of its former self.
Your suggestion would make it garbage tier and survivors would get no use out of it in game.
Surivovrs have to deal with perks like NOED, DS is not that bad.
How has it been nerfed again? I thought the last change made it more usable for multiple survivors running it simultaneously and removed the pick up and drop counterplay?

Exactly, I’m not saying first hook suicide is much better than DC but it doesn’t give you a penalty, it buys your team a few second while the killer carries you and it gives the killer hook points and BBQ stack.
And Pop! Although if they are gonna bounce first hook, chances are you wont need it anyways.

Not to mention if you don't want to DC against those spirits or huntresses you could just ######### first hook.
Er... I mean, embracing the loving claw of the entity on first hook.

Most people agree with a DC for the hill glitch, that’s why the penalty starts at 5 minutes... I’m sorry but these people who claim they experience a dozen game breaking bugs in the space of a day so they’ve been banned for three days, I just don’t buy it.
The more likely explanation is that Joe Blow DCs once against Spirit and once against Iri hatchet huntress and THEN experiences a bug so that DC earns him a half hour timeout so he comes here and makes up stories
Not to mention if you don't want to DC against those spirits or huntresses you could just ######### first hook.

Ever since the slight nerf to toolboxes, I have in my lobbies on average 2 to 3 medkits with nearly best addons. These are a great time-saver for survivors when you play killer 'normally' and not tunnel, etc.
Something small has to be done, so survivors don't get 1 or 2 free heals just by bringing an item.
Maybe limit number of specific item type in lobby? What do you think? Or reduce charges or moderately slow healing speed with medkit
Items are the survivors version of add-ons, they aren't free any more than particular wraith or doctor add-ons are. Medkits are a fine enough way to maybe heal yourself once or twice if you dont want to run a perk for healing and don't want to rely on finding other survivors.
-
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
Thats a bit of an over exaggeration, but he could certainly use some changes. I want him to be reworked again, not because of his kit being awful but because of how boring it is. Dreams are the scariest thing ever and the only thing they could come up with was tar blood and fake pallets, the only part that actually feels "dreamlike" is the gens bleeding.
Not that I object to making freddy more dreamy than he already is, but I think there are many more killers id rather get tinkered with first.

It's relevant whether you like or not. You can't have a character who is white on a black person, you just can't. And don't even try to say i'm racist.
There is no other female survivor in Dbd that has glasses. Besides, claudette is also a bit of a bookworm and can totally rock the look.
-
I never understood why NOED is the only endgame perk that is targeted when it is by far the easiest to counter. I agree with you in saying that its unfair to compare the two as you had said because they are done for entirely different purposes. DS discourages a tunnel gameplay, while NOED encourages a high risk endgame build (Protecting bones, getting rid of pallets, breaking walls, and other killer specific preparations, etc.). The fact that it is high risk means the reward should be commensurate. The endgame is just another part of the trial where killers try to kill survivors and survivors try and elude the killer.
-

I know its a joke, but I would love Scooby-doo skins. Claudette as Velma, David as Freddy, Kate as Daphnie, and Dwight as Shaggy.
Furthermore for killers. Doctor as Spooky Space Cook, Deathslinger as Captain Cutler with a harpoon gun, Miner Fourty-niner Hilbilly, Black Knight Oni, Green Ghosts Waith, and Harry the Hypnotist Clown.
Expanding this further, you can replace Kate as Daphne by having meg fill the role instead, leaving Kate, Zarina, and Yui, to get cosmetics for the Hex girls members Thorn, Luna, and Dusk respectively.

Seriously though, making more of pig's trap add-ons would be nice. As it stands her most practical add ons are in the lower rarity which is.... not the worst I suppose, but it is a bit stale. The most indulgent thing you can run is something like crate of gears + tampered timer, but that really doesn't change how she plays. The jigsaw and trap add-ons are the ones with the highest rarity, but also the least practical impact, inducing blindness or hemorrhage does little, and adding exhaustion isn't as productive as it should be since you shouldn't tunnel those with hats. And the skillcheck addons are just... bad. But considering how they did the billy dirty... I am not sure I would want the outcome they will prepare.

Wraith is so weak I barely ever see him anymore. Myers also need some tweaks.
On the other hand, Spirit and Freddy need nerfs imo.
I mean, isn't it a good sign you are having trouble seeing him? /s
Seriously though, wraith suffers from the old problem with Freddy and Doctor, where your ability to attack is in conflict with, or entirely reliant upon, your power.

On the two maps that have breakable walls, there are rooms with dead-ends - two connected rooms upstairs in the Saloon, and the "hidden" staircase on Midwich. Being able to see that the breakable walls are still up is beneficial for those rooms, and I'm sure the devs will add more instances like this when the breakable walls are added to the older maps.
It might seem weird, but showing breakable walls is an intentional - albeit situational - feature.

Maybe its just future-proofing, or an entanglement with the functioning of the similar perk on Oni. Though, as a killer main I was wondering if this addition would provide any benefit for the survivor, thanks for sharing!
