  • Built in Ruin mechanic is a terrible idea. It doesn't help with "gen rushing" since you need to apply pressure for it to work.

To promote solo play and give people more reasons to play solo

You do realise this doesn't promote solo play. The amount of points you lose from solo play is probably less than the amount you gain from good teammates in a swf.

Plus I think swf players wouldn't care enough about the 250K points to put themselves through that. I know recently I've played a decent bit of solo and it's made me drink more lol

do you realize im talking about new matchmaking, as i said in the title? MMR non-rank matchmaking?

So this whole discussion is to stop swfs getting a few extra Bloodpoints? Really?

  • Going to be honest as much as I want them to fix bugs if they don't release a new chapter every 3 months I'd probably leave the game.

  • Honestly I miss point t-bagging. Not because of being toxic or anything but it was hilarious to look at.

For killer I'd say Legion not seeing scratch marks. I just don't see a reason for that still being removed.

Otherwise buy Clown. His simplicity makes him quite fun to play imo.

I haven't seen Once Upon A Time In Hollywood yet. Well at least I know now that it might be a let down

Don't then. It has 2 good scenes in the whole movie. If it wasn't for knowing it was a Tarantino movie I would've walked out half way through.

It just felt like a slow, dull movie with basically no story. I love Margot Robbie and she literally did nothing the whole movie lol

  • Sorry mate but if you depiped then you had a terrible game. You should never really depip as survivor unless the killer does virtually nothing all game or you get completely destroyed. Btw if your not red ranks then this is even worse.

Nolan's films are best watched in cinemas. Tenet wasn't very confusing to me because I watched the Dark series on netflix which is similar to Tenet's plot. not going to spoil but if you've seen Dark you'd know what I'm talking about. BTW Dark is really good as well even though it's a tv series.

No I haven't but I'll definitely give it a go someday

Yeah that was a cool part. I liked the Domergue's Got a Secret part. It's slow to start off, but it's an awesome movie

Yea I loved the whole story. Tarantino movies are excellent for those sort of moments.

It's why a movie like Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was soooooo disappointing to me. It is honestly the worst film I've watched in cinema in 5 years.

  • I won't agree or disagree with your post but all I need to say is this.

My mate who only started playing the game in September struggled with Huntress and Billy before deciding to buy and play Spirit. He also never watches people play the game and only got it because of me. He also plays maybe twice a week and plays very little survivor (once a week).

Only playing Spirit he got to rank 8. He doesn't understand looping as survivor, yet as killer he was able to get as high as rank 8. I know it isn't red ranks but with matchmaking the way it is, plus his struggles with other killers I think it says a lot about Spirit.

    Btw here's his build.

Thanatraphobia, Sloppy Butcher, Nurse's Calling and Stridor. I told him to get Pop but he hasn't played much since getting it.

If you like Leonardo Dicaprio and Jack Nicholson, I recommend you watch two movies: "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest".

The first movie I listed features Dicaprio when he was young. And the second movie I mentioned not only stars Jack Nicholson, but is also considered by critics to be one of the greatest films ever made (and is also my personal fav).

I saw One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Next. Been a good 5 or more years but I also thought the movie was excellent. I never even heard of the second one tbh.

The order is random; and most of those are different to each other in genre/style/aftertaste.

    -12 Angry Men

    -Memento

    -In Bruges

-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

    -Forrest Gump

    -No Country for Old Men

-Life is Beautiful (Benigni's 1997 film - there are several other movies that share the same name)

Memento and No Country For Old Men are 2 movies I've told myself I need to watch. I have NCFOM saved on Netflix so I'm hoping to watch it someday soon.

Forrest Gump is an excellent movie. I always said when I was younger it was my favourite movie of all time but as I got older I found I didn't enjoy it as much. The film is amazing but I feel like there are certain spots in that movie that are a bit slow.

  • The challenge I found quite easy tbh. The best way to do it is bring Clown with Brutal, Spirit Fury, Enduring and Corrupt. Make sure you also bring the map Hawkins since it has a lot of pallets.

  • For me I just think there's better licenses to get first. Resident Evil being the rumoured next chapter actually is really good I think.

  • I literally had this the other day against a Doctor. I got unhooked and he hit me and the unhooking survivor with the 1 swing.

I don't understand why she only wanted to put a trap pretty much on one person. Actually quite dumb. If she wanted to get a rbt kill, you can get multiple with tampered timer and another solid one in a single round. Don't know what their problem was. I don't understand why a lot of killers do the things they do. I'm a killer main, but I swear when I play survivor it's like you run into the worse kind of killers.

She definitely isn't the smartest lol I genuinely thought it was someone who hated me from a previous game or something lol

I was half way through my timer when I was slugged so all she had to do was continue picking me up and dropping me if she wanted the kill. Either that or an early dc so she could've gotten more kills.

I feel like you could start a crusade to cleanse the game of Hag. We just want to exist in peace at the hook, pallet, vault, pretty much everywhere.

Don't tempt me about starting a crusade lol sorry but peace between both sides will never happen. Only the power of an add-on/killer power rework will keep the peace.

Strange how all wars end with simple gameplay changes lol

  • I agree people shouldn't be shunned for playing any killer/build/add-on. You bought it and you play it whichever way you like.

Except for Hag. Free shunning for anything to do with playing Hag.

  • Bubba isn't add-on dependent. I'd also that Freddy isn't either.

  • I don't agree with the game being killer sided but I do agree with the point about solo q. Any good killer will beat pretty much every 4 man solo q squad they face. It is extremely easy.

I think you should rename this discussion to something more about solo q vs swf.

  • Keys are broken, same as the fact moris were. It doesn't matter if you don't see keys every game, still doesn't mean it isn't broken.

Let's show a few things that are broken that you see less often than keys:

    • Old Moris
    • Iri head Huntress
    • Mint Rag Hag

Just because you didn't see every game doesn't mean they weren't OP. Even if they aren't used they still have a massive impact on the game when brought.

Dude how often do you play against Corrupt??

Also I'm glad If a random teammate lives atleast 40 sec. and don't die in the First 10 sec. of the game.

And this perk has no risk at all.

Quite often. I'd say I faced it more times last night than Pop or Ruin (played about 15 games). All it does is stop me from doing gens for about 20 seconds.

A random lasting 40 seconds isn't anything special. It's better than 10 seconds but they probably wasted 3 pallets during that chase. Also trying to use randoms as an excuse for a perk being OP isn't a good argument.

The perk has no risks. Let's just talk about the risks:

    • Survivors can hide for the full 2 minutes.
    • You can spawn in the middle of the map and the gens are awkwardly split.
    • It can block gens that you'd prefer are completed.
    • Survivors might not spawn near a corrupted gen.

Once the perk is gone, it's gone. The counter play to this perk is basically being a smart survivor.

    @burt0r said:

I was waiting for another hard biased thread from him. Check his old posts, some of them are hilarious.

Don't think I will lol my head might hurt afterwards.

  • Mate I'm going to be honest it sounds like your making a joke thread trying to entice killers to complain about survivor entitlement.

If your not then this perk isn't OP. It's a decent perk that really helps set up killers like Myers and Trapper. If a gen is blocked then go look for another gen since there is 7 on the map.

Also a 45 second chase at the beginning of the game is quite bad. No pallets have been used so you shouldn't be going down that fast. The starting chase should be at least 1 and a half minutes or more.

  • @Chchchcheryl said:

Why is nodding negative? If someone is just tryna meme and you start being toxic that just makes everyone's experience worse!

I don't think you understand what I meant by nodding. It's quite obvious that after a killer downs you and starts nodding repeatedly it's because they're being toxic. This is the same when they're camping you.

It's the same as t-bagging. Not every t-bag is toxic but people understand when a t-bag is meant to be toxic.

  • I don't understand it either. It's usually extremely easy to tell a good from a bad killer.

Though regardless of rank if they tunnel and camp me or nod at me or hit me on the hook then it's their fault if I t-bag.

  • Baby Bubba's who don't understand his true potential

  • I won't believe anything about an RE chapter until someone shows a link between the 5 from the 5th year anniversary photo and something RE.

  • After a few games I believe the really good killers will know exactly how to use his power. He won't become top 5 but he'll definitely be high B/A tier imo.

  • @chargernick85 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1868175#Comment_1868175

Well when Rank rewards come out ill deal with the hate mail for it but for now there is not benefit to 4k or ranks to me. So tunneling someone on death hook at 1 or 2 gens remaining so I have a chance to 4k is not worth ruining the game for someone else. Now gloves come off when rank rewards come out.

Again I wouldn't say tunnel. Tunnelling is when you go out of your way to only kill this one person. You'll basically throw the game to kill this one person.

  • @chargernick85 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1868142#Comment_1868142

You mean tunnel/target someone which I said already. Also I said if I cared for the 4k i would have. Also shouldn't have too.

I wouldn't say tunnel exactly but unfortunately you will need to sometimes. Just have to recognise that if 1 survivor is death hook and the rest aren't with 2 gens left then you should try and find that survivor next.

Again I wouldn't call that tunneling. I'd call it reading the situation and understanding what you should do to win.

  • That's not the devs fault. Tbh you should've tried to kill someone earlier in the round before end game. You had a 9 hook game so the gen speeds seemed fine that game.

  • @sulaiman said:

So, you think undying and Third Seal will see play? And if you go against an swf you play with just 2 perks...No, i dont think that combo will see play all that often.

Probably won't see it often but it's still more likely now. If you suspect a swf then don't run the combo. It's a buff to a perk that was used less than monstrous shrine.

  • Feel like your very particular with the way you wrote this lol

They changed Undying because it didn't fit the purpose they set out. Did they nerf it a bit too hard? Yes. However I feel like what they did was a very healthy change.

Perks like Devour Hope, Huntress Lullaby and Third Seal have been massively buffed. They now are more likely to be used because of this change. Also the aura thing makes sense because it just rendered Thrill Of The Hunt pretty much useless.

The worst case scenario was quite annoying but the other way where you had to cleanse 4 totems sometimes to get rid of Ruin was quite dumb. They're correct when they say Hex totems aren't meant to last the whole game.

Can't defend the fact they haven't changed DS yet though.

  • I disagree massively with this statement about survivors not enjoying meme builds.

Both sides just want to be sweaty sometimes.

I laugh at people who send death threats. People just being pathetic because their lives are worthless lol

  • I've already had 350ml of vodka. I don't think I can join in right now lol

  • As a guy who mains Bubba he is 100% not OP

  • There's a few. Adrenaline I loved but I recently stopped using it.

Inner Strength is a perk I loved but I never got enough value from it because my team kept taking the totems.

Spine Chill I loved but recently I also grew away from it.

That's not the point OP is trying to make; everyone knows that 10 percent movespeed for 7 seconds will be useful.

We're worried about the devs' thought process. If they think that the best application for these bottles is as a piece of cheese to lure survivors then I'm sure they have some very questionable takes on game balance.

That's a fair point. I never saw the video come up on YouTube for me so I missed it.

This was a rare discussion where I replied to the title and not the full thing. I'll get watching the video soon then I'll fully understand what the craic with it is.

  • I never saw this video. I'll watch it later but if it's instant then it will be extremely good.

  • I'm shocked so many people don't think this is an extremely good buff. I genuinely believe will be shocked at how much better he can be by this.

There will be a lot of creative ways to use his bottles. The only thing I need to know is how quickly he can swap bottles. If it's instant then I think he will be fairly decent.

  • I feel like it's still weak. It's too reliant on having Nemesis to be good. Also 6 metres is an awkward number lol I'd say 8 metres would be better.

I had a perk idea a few years ago before furtive chase was added and I feel like it would be a good fix.

    Hex: Furtive Chase.

Every hook gives you a stack. A stack decreases your terror radius by 4 metres. You can have a max of 6/7/8 stacks.

Makes this perk super scary if you can get multiple hooks early.

  • I'd personally like Aftercare to work with all saves. So if I get a flashlight or pallet save then i should also get the auras.

  • I think he'll be actually quite decent. Not top 5 but probably a decent high B or A tier killer.

1 … 37 38 39 40 41 … 99
