I really hope its the case, but i doubt it. battle passes are usually to make devs money, not as a fair way to give players stuff. like i said, usually. maybe possibly this will be different.
If it wasnt about money, theyd put all the items in the free track, and not have a paid track, or even better put it all in the archives. Or better yet, if they REALLY wanted to give us "free" cosmetics, they literally would. To download.
But it's about money.

I'm watching Otz try and do the achievement live
Good freaking gravy how is this bloody fair?
I know this is anecdotal, and will be met with salt, but I literally did it two games back to back, one without a tuft.
It's a bit of luck (that survivors dont DC or have a key) and perseverance.
Actually caught my fourth running up to the hatch.
-
Probably kate. Possibly Pig. Depends on the mood.
-
Why does it even matter? There are no rewards.
It's simply a tool to recalibrate matchmaking so that potatoes dont fight pros, and that the top 1% dont just get to sit there.
It's not a ranked system or season.
Are we all STILL unable to acknowledge that fact?

lmao, you both clearly are killers main, and i get that, but his weapon didn't even touched my butt... it ended right behind the wall. If you say it's a hit, good for you but i suggest a pair glasses. No offence...
Right behind the wall? You REALLY dont see the grey/white swipe animation?

@altruistic This specific suggestion aside, it's not about punishing players for playing with their friends, this is about not punishing those killers who play against SWF when they could have more balanced matches facing solo players.
We all know that SWF teams are stronger than teams of solos. That the killer doesn't get any kind of compensation, gameplay-wise or bonus-point-wise, doesn't make sense.
Balanced game vs solo? You mean an easier game.
When you queue up, you are going into a game with a plethora of variables and possibilities.
You accept the easy and the tough, and learn from it, and move on.
Cherry picking lobbies or acting like swf is the end of the world is childish.

I don't get it. He's not great, but he can insta down you, or a whole team at once if they play stupid. Sure, he can be countered, I don't deny that. But that instadown potential puts him above Wraith, at the least.
"If they play stupid".
Thats why. Competent survivors will 9/10 times not let LF take more than 1 person.

It's as idiotic as the end game collapse. Just a free win for killers without any skill involved
You mean a system put in place to prevent 45 min or longer of being held hostage because the last survivor refuses to do work or go for the hatch?
That's not idiotic. It's to save time. At 1v1 you've already lost. Standing st a hatch hoping the killer forgets before you do isnt "fair" or even a 1v1. It's just a stubborn loser hoping for a free win.
EGC ends that. If it gets to 1v1 in EGC, you already failed. The last chance is a mercy chance.
And your last line "free win without any skill".
They killed 3 people ALREADY. That's not free, or skill-less.

.......no.

It was fine for survivor. But a killer like Huntress was borderline unplayable.
So killer mains are dealing with their bad ping like the rest of us now? XD
-
.....and?
If it comes down to 1v1, you, as a team and individual, have failed.
It's not SUPPOSED to be fair in 1v1. That's why you get points for saving teammates.
The hatch is a CHANCE so that survivors dont just hide forever. It's not a "start the 1v1, good luck" objective. Its heavily weighted against survivors for a reason.
-
Then it would just be hunted first like ruin.
It stays up as long as it does because its NOT that detrimental, AND because it requires hooks to even get worse, so you're aware of when it will be harder. So people ignore it at start.
If it was changed, people would just pop it like ruin is right now.

Who cares about his perks. Its Ashley J William's.

it would be nice if it was an actual risk that the killer runs those perks.
other than Rancor, all the killers Obsession perks literally reward him for NOT attacking you and punish him for doing it.
PWYF: rewards the killer for losing a chase against you
STBFL: rewards the killer for attacking others & punishes them for attacking you
Dying Light (new): rewards the killer for keeping you alive and hooking others & punishes them for killing you
Dark Devotion: rewards the killer for leaving you after a hit, so they can ambush someone else
Furtive Chase: honestly, this one switches the obsession around so much, it doesnt really affect one survivor alone... it rewards the killer for hooking the obsession though, BUT punishes him for killing them. so if you are the obsession and you're on your deathhook, you are safe.
Remember Me: rewards for letting the obsession escape and heal back up, but also makes the killer try to eliminate you before endgame. is pretty dead though...
and the survivor obsession perks also pretty much all have only upsides for obsessions...
being the killers obsession is the best thing that could happen to you - unless you see the killers aura after repairing a gen that is xD
PWYF: is it really LOSING a chase if you intentionally let them flee to feel "safe"?

So are You saying it it's 2000, 2700, and back to 2000? Your other post wasn't clear if that's what you meant. If that's how it goes I have no clue I've never got a third go round.
If it's the first time THAT PERK is in the shrine, its 2700, not the first time YOU buy it.
Is what I was saying.
I've only ever gotten 2000 costs except for the few times a perk pops in.

You are wrong, if you've already bought a perk in the shrine and it comes up again, it's 2700 and gives 250k bp. I've done it many times.
So then how did I get 150k from ruin thrice then?
It's only 2700 the first time it's in there. Sorry.

really good ruin counter, and it's a fun a perk, trying to sneak to get the stacks
So is just hitting great skill checks....
If you want to stay in their TR for a buff, diversion is way better.

I said earlier that i wasnt talking about a buff for borrowed and i didnt even complain about the perk. I said that i ought for a change of deep wound effect for these kind of situations. It doesnt seem normal, even if the killer is a stealth based, it s simple as you cant have any chance to do anything about it. Also, you can find the hatch by going from loop to loop
It used to be simply timed. Even if you were chased, youd go down. This version is fine.

that's a small price to pay to completely get rid of release-legions tactics. it's the most boring and uninteractive way to die and an underserved hook for the killer imo
As is having half of the point of a killer negated if a survivor looks at their HUD.
It's also a better alternative than being immediately put back on hook. You have a chance.
-
@artist said:
situations like yours make me question why the mending pause isn't based on how close you are to the killer and not the terror radius. same with borrowed
Because if a stealth killer tried to sneak up in you without a TR and it stopped moving, you'd know they were there. Effectively eliminating their stealth.
This is more of a BT problem that GF. Pig amd wraith could both do this.

This is crap advice for new players. "Spend money to get perk X" This game shouldn't be "Pay to Enjoy" but it seems to be now.
And don't say "But the shrine". Perks like BBQ show up once a year and it was just there so it it will be a while before we see it again,
Twice, this year I believe.
And you dont need "meta" perks to have fun or do well. But if you feel you need a boost, it's like 5 bucks for bubba. Hag us free for ps4 (and I'd assume xbox), which covers bbq and ruin. The two big dogs.

What's wrong with the grind?
Yeah, the grind is just as bad for everyone. The difference is, were not "new players" because we stuck with it.
New players ALWAYS have to grind harder. Because they're new. It's an easy thing to understand.

I said over and over and over again.
To bring back the forgotten sabotage it's not complicated, just make sabotage destroy PERMANTELY a limit number of hooks (2 or 3, this needs to be balanced after some tweaks, because you need consider 4 survivors, sabotage and toolboxes).
DONE, you bring back sabotage and make it like the old days.
Even if it's only 2 or 3 permenantly, if they're a in one corner, its impossible to carry a survivor to a new hook. Permenant sabotage would give people literal safe spaces.

But it only stays broken for 3.5 minutes
Plenty of time to do a gen near 3 downed or 99'd hooks. Had a hillbilly spend 4 minutes just watching me because he was waiting for hooks. 2 gens popped and I never got hooked.

I spend my shards exclusively on bps, if I want a new cosmetic I'll just buy it, for me time is more valuable than a few bucks. It's really nice when you've already got perk from the shrine and for 2700 you get 250k bps. Not sure what happens if you get a third go round with the same perk hasn't happened to me yet.
It's usually 2000 for 150k. It's only that high if it's the first time in the shrine.
I've "re bought" ruin like 3 times. Always 150k.

It's basically all I use my shards for.

just because i didn't include vigil or stake out doesn't mean they are good, but you can use them every game at least. botany knowledge is like meh, you heal only 2-3 people / match so i don't really see the point.
btw, stake out is actually ok imo.
Stake out? The perk that literally just gives you great skill checks if you cant hit them?
-
@December_1863 said:
Yes it does. You see what the killer sees. If the legion that you're playing against uses frenzy (can't see scratch marks in frenzy), you won't see your scratch marks. If the killer is unable to perseve old scratch marks due to light weight, you also are unable to see your old scratch marks, Etc.
That's kind of misleading then. It says "see your own scratchmarks at all times" doesnt it?
Just because legion cant see them, doesnt mean you shouldnt be able to.
It should read, " see your scratchmarks as they appear to the killer".
-
Its not a war. It's just toxic people that are on either side. They will always exist, on both sides.
-
Because nobody expects it. And thus doesnt worry about dull totems.
"Ahhh meyers you cant stalk me to 3 anymore you already got me hahaha-"
*NOED hit*
-
Them waiting to buff or nerf is the right thing to do.
If they let it hit live, and after 2 days of people bitching one way or another about it and used just that info, it wouldnt get balanced correctly, just by the majority voice. Which may simply make it worse.
Waiting a few weeks before making LIVE changes other than balancing reasons (GF reveal zone, bugged perks like wake up) is what they should always do.

Yeah I agree with you. Kindred basekit (or at least showing only showing camping killer aura) would have done a better job
After 6/7 seconds of being within X range of hooked survivor, show their aura until they leave the range.

I can't even say it in words how horrible the experience on PS4 is.. Playing on Controller is absolutly disgusting. And the FOV on survivor and killer feels so tight and reduced.
The fps is... Alright I guess. Manageable, but far away from good. Graphics is horrible, at first I thought I'm playing DbD mobile.
I think the worst thing is the controller. Absolutly wobbly and extremely restricting.
With all the respect.. But how are you ps4 mains playing this game?? It's not bareable for me.
BHVR, you need to work on keyboard and mouse support. This game is not playable with a controller... Or lets better say: not enjoyable like on pc.
That's funny, because my friend on pc cannot seem to look around while running, a problem I never have using twin sticks.
Seems like a PCMR rant to me.

Simple, BHVR stop making skins for a bit and put some effort and work into the map designs. It's technically the same branch because it's designing. Let's be real for a second too, they've dropped so many skins lately that their wallets have to be fat right now.
It's not the same branch...
Artistic cosmetic design, and map layout/mechanics are two completely different types of design.

The ONLY reason 1v1 is not viable is because of the timer. If there was no timer then the last survivor can out play the killer to escape. Not my fault most survivors are potatoes. All this does is encourage more SWF groups.
No, what it does is prevent 40 min hatch standoffs.
You're also missing the point that you shouldnt BE ABLE to 1v1 the killer. Saying this prevents being able to have a 1v1 chance then becomes moot, because it's not a 1v1 game.
-
It's not a ranking system. It's an arbitrary term for what amounts to a matchmaking helper.
To prevent rank 1 vs rank 20 being a normal thing.
If it wasnt shown, you would never know it existed because it grants no reward and changes nothing except who you play with.
How does NOBODY understand that.

Not one question on my actual issues - just an assumption that my basic understanding of the game is incorrect. That's what I refer to when I say it's vague. -//-
- I reply that I don't agree with vague comment.
- You reply with long post about basic game knowledge, this time with actual definitions - which I on the whole agree with. It STILL doesn't solve my problems with navigation.
You could just let it go. Theyve proven a point and you are being rather rude about their attempted explanation.
They're not wrong. You cannot KNOW a map. When you think you do, you turn a corner for a door that, guess what, is a wall this time.
That's the long and short of it.

Exactly. Demogorgon is NOT a killer. It's a mindless beast controlled or directed by something else.
But my statement wasnt literal, although you took it that way somehow. I was simply saying they can bypass whatever rules they want simply because "the entity can do what it wants".
It's like a DM that doesnt care about continuity.
