hi,
That would be a clear message to all the cheaters or ?
I read a very interesting article from another developer team of another game and I noticed something that is missing here in DBD. "We take it very seriously that everyone who starts our game can expect a fair game. In short, we don't tolerate cheaters and deploy teams to stop, identify and punish them, it says. As an anti-cheat tool, Easy-Anti-Cheat is used in our game. We have already had good experience with this in other games."
Now the exciting part: "Another change in our game is that cheaters will be immediately disconnected from the game and banned on all platforms if they are punished, because of the cross-play functionality. As before, we can continue to use IP and hardware locks if needed." Means: creating new accounts is no longer possible in case of a hardware lock. If it were about cheats, we don't want to make exceptions - neither would there be warnings nor temporary exclusions. "If you don't follow the rules, you're out."
I would like to see something like that.
At least a little more openness from the DBD devs regarding "the fight against cheaters". How do you see it ? would you also find a little more communication with us would be good?
regards
Thing is... non dedicated cheaters would be banned permanently not the dedicated ones since things such as Hardware id spoofers and vpns exist

I'm sorry but that would make dead hard busted as #########. It would be basically dead hard for distance without needing to get to a pallet or window. Not to mention iron will with it too. I assume that its a 25 second exhaustion effect cause if it was just a 25 second cool down it would be better than dh for distance. Not to mention the no mither changes...

The entirety of the survivor meta has made me snore louder than a train.

You got owned in one game, that is no reason to Nerf everyone for every game. Think of others. Survivors do not need nerfed because you lost once.
But survivors do need to be nerfed. The whole thing mmr is showing that survivors are the absolute power role in dbd then you add perks on top of that.

It's simply because the devs don't understand at all the power level of their killers nor their mechanics.
Tuned Carburetor for Billy (which really sucks ass) being the same rarity as something Alchemist Ring should tell you everything.
Yeah they dont really understand the power of survivors...

LoS isn't some infinite option and killers move faster than survivor, what version of DbD are you playing?
You can also be immediately removed from a game thanks to the another survivor giving him all the stalk he needs. Which again, may not even have been that avoidable on their part. Tombstone Piece really doesn't require that much stalk for what it can do.
If someone feeds him stalk it might as well be a 3v1 that you shouldnt win. But hey survivor is the power role so you could probably still 3 man out a myers because of their ridiculously unbalanced perks

For me it would be losing the bloodpoints and waiting 5 minutes if it was one of those hackers who can somehow manipulate whether the game ends or not.
Because funny coding yourself as hooked somehow with no timer... god this game needs to be remade entirely.

Because it is quite clear that the side where 1 player plays against 4 players is harder. It would be very wrong if 1 player has it easier than the team of 4 players.
Otherwise Killer would be the side:
- which gets more BPs (way more)
- has more variety in gameplay
- has the more interesting gameplay
- is easier
There would be 0 reasons to play Survivor.
Yes this argument makes sense... other than the part where the killer is supposed to be this big scary force that's nearly unstoppable but is really... just not unstoppable in any way when a simple piece of wood gets dropped in the way.

You make a good killer but you kill her 1st with the perk no song for surviver and now the directions when she in fase, if you don't like her take her off the game and also change the nurse why juste spirit?
The key difference between pre nerf spirit and nurse... nurse actually takes a lot more skill than spirit. Thats why nurse wont be nerfed for a while since the token based system for her is best. Other than the buffed torn bookmark she is fine.
-
Simple... I would bring back 4.7.1 blight where he had j flicks and moon rushes. My reasoning is because blight is becoming bland now that I'm constantly going for bump logic hits when jflicks had counterplay so that made them incredibly risky as you were forced to commit not now where you can adjust mid flick.

SBMM mostly just pairs killers with survivor teams of vastly higher skill level, it's not really a very good system in any way.
Skill on survivor is.... almost non-existent when they can just run second chance perks to make up for their mistakes while also having items, fast gen speeds, etc.

@VikingDragonXii said:
The issue is because they stopped doing peer to peer and did everything server side. Plus the hackers are just making a new steam profile and family sharing the game with the new profile to get back into the game, so part of the problem lies on Steam as well making it possible for hackers to keep playing games like DbD.
Nah its also the fact that you can just ip and hardware spoof now so there's no set way to keep them out since accounts cost $5.

Killers only use BBQ for blood-points anyway, at least that's what all the Killers say when someone suggests nerfing it.
Well there really isn't a reason to nerf bbq. Anyone who thinks its aura reading is op is clearly just a hold m1 on gen andy that never gets in a locker to hide their aura.

There's this rising sentiment that somehow medkits are too strong. Since when have they been too strong, and in tandem since when did they need to be nerfed? I don't think they do at all. They can be the strongest item if you feel that way, but that doesn't mean they need to be changed. Healing has been this way for a while and it's never been complained about until now.
Maybe this is just because I've seen Scott and Otz talk about it. Normally I agree with them but this time I'm not so sure. I think they're trying too hard to make a bad argument that medkits are too powerful.
So I guess you've never seen someone lose because 4 medkits before huh... being able to have old self care in an item that can be enhanced through perks to increase its charges and healing speed for a single person...

@latinfla4 said:
You need to be better than average to go up right?
Mmr should go down if the average is not met because the killer/survivor couldn't hang with the "average".
Thoughts?
Edit: no killer mmr change on only just 1 kill and no survivor mmr change on just 1 person escaping(it is a team dynamic).
Thing is.... on bhvrs Q&A about 5 days ago now. They basically stated that there's no "team based" mmr its only the single survivors performance. Tbh this is incredibly lazy on bhvr since how it works is you die you lose mmr despite how you did and you survive you gain mmr despite how you did.

Hi, I was wondering if you can change the button to activate sprint Burst. Because sometimes I don't want to use it, and I am forced to if I want to run away or run across the map.
Can you please change it to click the directional pad or tap L1 twice to activate it?
What do you guys think?
Please and thank you
If you could 99 a sprint burst it would make it basically busted because you wouldn't have to wait 39 seconds to 99 which is already strong as it is.

Blight's one of those killers you can't really teach you have to figure it out on your own. Also he feels janky now because his collision was reverted to tricksters mid chapter but they excluded that part from the cenobite chapter release.

@WexlerWendigo said:
It’s just a new self care now and a crap version of lucky break that takes time to set up.
Meanwhile, killers get NOED with zero conditions unless all totems are cleansed, which is impossible to do in solo queue without throwing the game. Circle of healing didn’t ‘baby’ survivors like NOED does, which literally keeps killers from improving. Why bother when NOED does all the work for you? Why bother if you can camp someone to death with no counter?
Survivors have to deal with killers camping them almost every game, whilst all killers have to suffer is teabagging, and they still think that’s the most toxic part of the game lol. Not the actual bullshit side of killers, that could be fixed if BHVR actually spent a minute thinking about how to rebalance the game so that it’s not blatantly toxic towards solo survivors.
You're ignoring the fact that shadowstep also hides auras so you can bless a totem next to a gen and you can just keep working on it not worrying about bbq or other aura reading perks. also a 16 second heal without a medkit is huge and a 8 second heal is even better. Also you say noed had no conditions.... even though their conditions is letting the game progress to end game or by my standards, running most of the trail 3 perked for a reward in a possible power spike.
-
I would say Blight since I first started out as a huntress main and was getting incredibly comfortable with her hatchets. I never thought blight was a bad killer but once I watched a streamer called AscensionWho play him I just learned so quickly how to use his power for hits. Also might I add back in the day that was one of the best versions of Blight in my opinion as he had incredibly consistent collisions and the oh so misunderstood j-flicks... (yes I did them as a fun alternative rather than bumping 1 more time to get a more guaranteed hit). Also still cant get the image of the short blight pov of him just crawling really fast on the ground while in rush.

So you are saying you are not playing Billy because they removed the insta saw busted combo?
Im pretty sure people didnt stop playing billy just because they removed insta saw. Its the whole over heat mechanic and how "you're overusing your power" when you used to to down someone go like not even that for to a gen then overheat an out positioned survivor which is the problem
-
@Sluzzy said:
There was nothing OP about these perks at all. So now their usefulness was heavily reduced to a tiny radius so the killer can easily hear it and instantly remove it. Wow.
So now survivor has to spend a lot of precious time and spend even more time blessing it before it activates when you can practically work on a gen instead. These perks were already a buff to killer because survivor did a secondary objective to get any benefit from the perk. 24 seconds to bless a perk and killer can easily turn it off in 1 sec. What happens if killer uses new buffed killer perk that causes the totem blessing to take twice as long? I’m sure this didn’t get nerfed did it? Why is it fair he can still remove it in only 1 sec? Just bring self-care instead of this if you want to heal.
Survivor meta remains unchanged.
hmm yes -4 meters = tiny radius. Also its a lot more risk/reward now since 14 seconds is basically nothing in survivors time so adding an extra 10 seconds is a lot more risky but still worth the reward and you do realize if the killer has thrill all you need to do is fine the thrill totem right? Or if you dont want to find it just dont bless a totem since survivor is still more op than killers

I have some serious doubts about the ability of MMR to drop more than rise. That seems weird to me.
Well thats how most games with mmr works. Just look at overwatch you can drop like 25 sr but only gain like 15 for a win even if you played above average that game
-
@EntitySpawn said:
By no means am I saying it should be 4escapes or 4kills as both sides should have a chance to win and do well regardless, this slightly changes depending on killer but they should still do somewhat well.
But I always see:
We're balancing around 2k 2E
This killers over performing with 3K
But even the devs know kills and escapes is not a balancing point, they tried it with mmr before and it was horrific. So... why do we still do that?
Shouldn't it be based more on hooks, maps, tiles spawns etc. That factor more?
In short: why balance around 2k 2E, when the end of the match shows nothing that happened with the trial or how people played or what they had to work with.
They only do it that way because it's the easiest to do. If they really cared they would balance around maps and perks. The only balance they do is on the most used perks. But lets be honest even the most used perks they dont normally balance cough mostly on the survivor side because if they balanced bt, unbreakable, ds, and exhaustion.... lets just say there would be no survivors.

You don't get it.
Point B is the problem. You got smashed by the team. You had to see a 4-man escape and your MMR should be drastically lowered. But instead - bang, you have NOED. You get an extra kill. So instead of 100% of value your MMR had to be decreased, you only get a 50% decrease.
6% doesn't apply to your killrate - nothing can increase your killrate. It increases the rate of you getting more MMR until you'll get to the point where you get overwhelmed by survivors that much so NOED doesn't matter anymore.
Fun fact if you get smashed by a team and get 4 man escaped you go down by 30 points.... now if it was only 3 it would be around 20 points lost so its not as bad as you make it out to be since the max mmr increase you can get from a game is +20.

Stealth is still possible on those maps there’s still places for sneak possibilities this isn’t old autohaven. There shouldn’t be an option outsiders of native which you said is an advantage against killers. Where it can shutdown an entire killer play style and this goes for other realms. You’re saying that this playstyle is weaker on this map so it’s fine that I use something that gives an advantage against killers. Or survivors if you’re running this with Nurse.
I mean i can't remember a time where a stealth killer actually surprised me on auto haven because.... I dont know THE ENTIRE MAP IS OPEN. Literally without stretched you can shutdown a stealth killers power

don't worry, i have more. even from killer perspective. Still no advantage?
Once again a terrible example...(Tru3 does that a lot btw) He fatigued in a wide open area where there was only 2 possible options where the survivor could go so once the fatigue was up it would take a half a second to look where they went which even with double recharge is before both blinks come back up
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2543232#Comment_2543232
But it isn’t just autohaven you admitted it gives an unfair advantage against stealth killers and the assumption the killer will loose off the map is simply just wrong. When they can push through but stretched resolution can eliminate their power’s effectiveness. And this also will negate perks like M&A or Tinkerer allowing for sneak ups
Apparently you didnt read the part about stealth being useless on autohaven maps... The maps are wide open so any kind of stealth would be utterly useless.

So it does present an unfair advantage against stealth killers or killers running stealth perks or smaller TR? Like you said
Lets be honest using a stealth killers stealth on an autohaven map is basically useless unless you're a wraith. Plus huntress already has a lullaby so you should be more aware for that, spirit is spirit, death slinger is getting a tr nerf, hag you have to watch out for traps... Plus if you know the killer has tink then you should always be aware whenever a gen is 70%. Plus its incredibly easy to keep track of where the killer is so you should know which direction they're coming from. Stop acting like stretch is this almighty buff while ignoring just common sense.

That video didn’t mention how it allows you to see killers in the distance where there’s gens with no Los into the distance or doesn’t like at Jungle Gyms and how it allows for easy vision at loops otherwise you wouldn’t make.Which matters with shorter killers also
Idk about you but without stretched I could path just fine. Plus other than maybe stealth killers what use would be seeing across the map serve? Most killers already have a 32 meter terror radius which is a big warning

If you use it solely for FPS like you say then why deny the objective advantage it gives you at loops as survivor or the FOV increase on nurse fatigue? Yes, there are loops that you can see people over without stretched res but it's undeniable that you gain an advantage with a larger visual when having to focus and be situationally aware of pallets and vaults while looping.
Im not denying its not giving an advantage. Im saying that the advantage it gives is so minimal its useless to complain about. People are glorifying it when they've only seen people play with it and never saw it from the native perspective.

maybe it "should" be, but it isn't right now. Right now stretched res. gives you ability to reveal GF in places, where you wouldn't reveal him with native res.
You see thats also the product of bhvrs bad coding. They only coded the game to work on 16:9 not 16:10, 1:1, etc. Plus that could easily be fixed to make it so if the survivors head has los of the ghost face then you can reveal them

It gives an advantage by allowing you to see over objects that weren’t intended to be looked over.
To this day there isn't a single object you can't see over with stretched that you can't see over with native. So unless you describe it a little better you might want to rethink what you said.
