I play Nemesis. I won most of my Haddonfield matches.

Then those survivors were just overly altruistic or bad. There's no reason to why you shouldnt lose on haddonfield unless its the 2 things I just described.

  • @Anara said:

Maps offering are fine. There are perks you want to use on some maps.

    People just need to adapt.

Yeah lemme just play nemesis or huntress, then a haddonfield offering gets played. Guess I should just "adapt" to have better map pressure on a large map with insanely good loops and with good gen spread for survivors. You see how stupid that sounds?

  • @coolmacc said:

Dead hard isn’t that strong most dead hards extend a chase by all of 3 seconds

Have you heard of a dead hard for distance? Because if you think it only extends it by 3 seconds then you must run into people trying to use it for its intended gimmick purpose.

  • Camping bubba is a buzzkill.... almost just like playing killer is when the first chase you have leads to 3 gens getting popped no matter what you do unless you're nurse or blight.

Maybe you should increase your volume or clean your ears. They are pretty easy to hear.

They were easy to hear in the ptb but then they reduced the range of how far you can hear it so something like 8-10 meters

    enough said.

why does alch ring not have some sort of drawback or negative too it? it’s way to powerful to just be an addon with no negative downside too it.

Prob because its counterplay is normal blight counterplay of strong windows and pre dropping pallets? We should probably stop nerfing stuff about killer and focus on nerfing survivor things.

Oh, they can fix it. They said in their anniversary video that dbd was made by some of the "finest developers" in the industry.

They say that... but the fact that it hasn't been fixed already really downplays what they said.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Have you tried tombstone piece/infinite tombstone

Yeah no.... infinite tombstone is stalking for 5 gens to possibly get a kill at the end

and… killers got stronger since 2017??? So your issue was never because boons were actually “op”. It’s cause it annoys you that survivors which you deem OP get a perk that aids them?

That’s not how balance works.. again.

Its not that I deem... it's factual that survivors are overpowered. There has been one good thing since comp dbd was a thing and that's proving how busted survivors are even with limiters to what they can run. And sure killers got stronger but its more bandaid fixes than actual buffs.

  • I would like to rely on things other than scratch marks.... oh wait sounds barely ever work since I can follow behind a survivor for 3 seconds, they go behind a wall and I don't hear them run away. Also I really doubt that the "only" time you had trouble with boons was on rcpd. You do realize the power of an 8 second heal right? you get more than 1 heal in the boon range and its already worth the time. Not to mention the self care part about it. Not to mention the unbreakaboon coming out in a couple weeks which literally will force you to placebo yourself if you dont want to risk it when playing twins of oni.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2634428#Comment_2634428

Cause survivors time is 3 times as valluable at that time.

If you have one hooked one slugged and one in chase the chances of 3 gens popping drastically decreases

Yes but how many times will you be able to have a slug and hook on survivors that constantly spread out? Almost never

  • @Feyd said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2634418#Comment_2634418

Run undying then so you can see when they start to boon a totem.

Seriously, you guys get mad at anything that's more useful than "puts survivor right on the hook to die."

Ah yes I go to a survivor blessing a totem from across the map giving the other 3 survivors at least enough time to get 30% of a gen done just to prevent an overpower perk on an overpowered role.

  • Cause survivors dont need anything stronger from how ridiculously busted they are. Like sure its nothing like 2017 dbd but its still insane how they can just crank out gens then have a totem that makes them harder to find.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2634403#Comment_2634403

    That logic is flawed.

The only valuable time survivors have is on gens. Any time not on gens is the game not progressing and them not escaping.

If you chase 1 person the time of survivors is suddenly only 3 times as valluable. A survivor hooked while doing that makes the time equal equal as 1 needs to save one is chased and one is hooked

If the survivors time is ever 4 times less valluable then the killers outside of the first 10 seconds of the match the killer is doing something terribly wrong

The survivors time is ALWAYS 4x less valuable. Or let me put it into killer words, killers time is 4x as valuable as you dont know what the survivors doing. You spend a minute on a chase and 3 gens across the map are likely 80% ready to pop as you walk over to them.

  • @yougotexposed said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2634403#Comment_2634403

Its still time taken off the survivor that went to boon/heal etc that you can capitalize on.

Again it doesn't solve the problem of survivors completing all 5 gens in 4 minutes. Wow you gain an extra 20 seconds from the survivor walking up to a totem then walking away after blessing it... its not like gen spread costs the killer more time than survivors

  • @Feyd said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2634403#Comment_2634403

Every. Single. Time. It takes barely any time to snuff out. For the most part, they aren't worth running. You waste more time trying to keep one up on a totem than you would just using self care.

You do realize then the killer has to spend time walking to the boon and then snuffing it out right? Obviously ones in shack you can snuff mid chase. But when you add them to random tiles around the map and sometimes you aren't in the audio range to hear them so you don't know if one's near. In the ptb you used to be able to hear it from like 20 meters away as killer not its only like 8.

  • @SmarulKusia said:

The last four killers that have been released, have all had a focus on anti-looping and range. The two killers before Twins also have anti-looping and range.

But with each release, the powers are tweaked a little, to give some glitz and glam, but it's copy and paste.

Playing against most of these killers is either frustrating, annoying, or feels disconnected from what DBD is meant to feel like considering that these killers can ignore or overlook what survivors have traditionally as their protection (aka pallets/windows/vaults).

Survivors need some active and in-game counterplay, and no, Boons are not the answer on making the game feel more interactive.

Its almost like... survivors aren't meant to win every chase they have. Plus if you just give survivors more recourses it strays even FURTHER from the horror survival genre and just becomes press w = win. If you really want more resources then you haven't seen the time of double window and pallet jungle gyms or just when every filler tile had a pallet.

Please explain what you mean by "power role" because to me it seems like people who say this just want to completely shift the balance of power to the killer side making it impossible to do anything as survivors with little effort and disregard balance at all.

Tbh from a 1v4 game common sense would make you think that in a horror game and you're the killer imbued with power from an unknown entity so they would make you able to at least stand a chance. But nah game execution is done poorly.

  • @Feyd said:

On killer side, i couldn't care less about circle of healing. Shadow step is the good one. Either way, Evey cast is 16 seconds they aren't on a gen.

yes but 16 seconds of a single survivors time. literally survivors time is 4x less valuable than killers purely for the fact that they have numbers.

  • Why does killer get more bp? Because they're the only one on their team. Survivors have to get heals for altruism and chases for boldeness and unless you're a meta perk andy you get ######### bp

  • "People who can't admit the truth" Hmm like how people still say this game is killer sided despite having 90% of the games ending up only getting kills because of "dirty/cheap" tactics.

  • To be honest just be a face camping bubba. If you're gonna risk getting your IP leaked while playing might as well do it in style.

  • @Oscarnator said:

Aka waste flashlight juice on a power she's gonna get back in 4 seconds (not to mention your pretty much stationery so she's getting on M1 on you no matter what)

    Get grabbed in a locker

Die instantly after you use E since again she gets her power back in like 4 seconds or she zones you in which case you're ######### either way.

Here's one that actually works, you see that W button in your keyboard? Hold that until you get downed works for every killer too since more than half are anti loop 👍

What are you gonna use a flashlight on anyway? Blinding at pallets is pointless and you would rarely get flashlight saves in a match, maybe 2 at best unless the killer is oblivious.

  • Ah yes I sacrifice 1 out of my 4 perk slots for a mediocre perk when I could just bring infectious when it does an arguably better job against flashlight saves and gives the locations of survivors around you. You see how inefficient that is? Bringing a perk that only denies one of the weakest items.

  • Tbh people who think not giving hatch or gate = toxic need a reality check.

  • @Dumpstick said:

Just bust the totem. Totem busting deals with boons.

If you can't bust the totem... you just got outplayed by a superior team.

Frankly the new totem is trash. What, you going to crawl over to where the totem is? Killer would have to be monumentally stupid to let that happen.

Anything that helps reduce slugging in this game is good, but this totem is not going to counter slugging. COH works because when you are injured you can run to the totem in the corner of the map. Down and dying? Lol maybe you can pick yourself up when your hair turns gray.

So you do realize that 24 meters is a long range and they nerfed the radius where you could hear boons as killer right? Also you say anything that reduces slugging is good... maybe not give survivors a ridiculous perk like that and change core gameplay mechanics because if you've ever played to win as killer in high mmr you know you need to use every trick in the book to at least get 2 kills. Also the boon severely placebos snowballing in general because you have to go spend time snuffing the boon after the first down then continue chasing the 2nd survivor which is already half way across the map.

  • @JacksonWise said:

Seems to me like this combo would put survivors in a lose-lose situation. Either do Bones and deal with the effects of Pentimento or don't do bones and get punished with NOED.

Just curious if there is something I haven't thought. Also, not saying any lose-lose combo is automatically OP or unwinnable since others already exist like running BBQ and Iron Maiden.

You can literally just have 4 boon totems then watch the last dull once the last gen pops

  • @Phasmamain said:

His power is uninspired and brings nothing new to the table while also having everything survivors find annoying

    Ranged killer? Check

    Power burst? Check

    Oppressive 1v1? Check

    No map pressure? Check

No real counterplay in chase? Check

Plus a lot of people feel his visual design doesn’t fit dbd

No counter play? bruh this guy SUFFERS around tall loops not short filler loops. If you truly think he has no counter play.. then clearly you haven't seen a survivor run a long wall against him. It can take triple if not quadruple the amount of time to down someone at a long wall compared to a auto haven junk loop where he can just throw over it and hit them.

  • Well yeah "anti-camping". Its more of a "you can't hold m2 ready to start a sweep permanently" Basically they prevented pre-rework bubba from being a thing even though his tantrum bar goes down MUCH faster than billy' overheat.

  • I still think he would be better off without overheat. And if they were to remove the extra turning at the start of a sprint... yeah there would be literally no reason to play billy compared to bubba or blight since they do his job better for one or both his parts.

  • @RakimSockem said:

You have a speedy gremlin who moves pretty much the same speed as Billy using a chainsaw who also acts as a tracking device on a survivor after you down them AND let's you know if another survivor is close. Literally one of the lowest skill ceiling killers in the game.

On release, the majority of Twins players literally camped hooks and sent Victor to do the killing because they take no skill to use. And that was before BT got buffed to not care about Terror Radius

Ah yes victor (6.0 m/s) and billy (9.2 m/s) = same speed. Either way in your post above that... Did you realize a long range victor down is considered a slug since you have to go walk up to them and pick them up? Not to mention the almost 10 second fatigue since they thought a 5 second fatigue on top of the switch fatigue was a good idea. So the Unbreaka-boon literally just invalidated that down because you already sent victor out to hunt someone with charlotte next to a gen or other slug to down someone not even 32 meters away. So you get the down hook the first slug, get to the 2nd and they're already gone. Yeah lets punish a killer for playing optimally great idea.

  • Hmm yes a post that just says delete trickster with no reasoning. Clueless

Then why am i seeing it happen? 2 games the blight started the lunge on one side of a log loop and just lunged around the end of it to hit the survivor on the other side. he did not face the log to do a hug tech. The last game i played i ran past the blight and the next thing i know he flipped around and hit me out in the open.

Well that's either because of lag where on his end he hit you with the massive hitbox of the rush then turned around. But I can't make a correct assumption without seeing it in a video. Also you dont have to fully face a log to get more than 90 degrees. Or it could be something that might be on the rise. I also noticed it's sometimes hard to notice if a blight turns into an object until he's fully facing it since he goes so fast.

  • @legacycolt said:

Yeah I couldn’t agree more. Blight should always be the same, no matter what platform you’re playing on. As survivor, you never know what he’s able to because of the exploits.

There's no longer any flick exploits?

  • Noed does not even need a nerf. There's now a 5th counter to it... Boons, noed doesn't automatically switch to another dull totem if the one it chose originally was blessed. So that means if 3/5 totems were blessed and noed chose those 3/5 that's noed not in play. I don't get why people complain about noed so much when it has more counters than killers do to survivor perks.

  • The max you can turn is 90+ the extra rush turn mid lunge. Dpi only influences how fast you flick 90 now and nothing else. Also the "constantly swiping your mouse (z flick)" only works like 2% of what it was after they patched heli blight. Blight's really can't true 180 flick anymore out in the open. They technically can with adrenaline vial but the most of a flick you can get is like 110 degrees.

  • @BigKuhfahl said:

Trickster needs to be NERFED and a hard one because he is just way too Over Powered in this game and it just seems like everyone and their mother is playing him just because of such of the fact he is Over Powered.

Trickster has 44 blades that he can throw and that's a lot for no reason whatsoever in the DBD Fandom page it even says 6 hits put you from a Healthy state to an Injured state and another 6 to put you in a dying state that's ridiculous it's like 85% of his Knives hit you anyways regardless of how you bob and weave to not get hit by them.

Ya'll Dev's think that the Buff you gave him was a good idea and it wasn't yea you went from 60 blades to 44 blades and believe me I am not the only person who thinks that either. Now let's talk about his Fire Rate that's also the dumbest thing ever after doing some testing in KYF with perks, without perks, add-ons, without add-ons the man isn't a machine gun my god he is stupid with the Fire Rate. Last but not least the hit indicator you say that it's reduced but it isn't at all damn near 2 blades fill up half of the indicator before it actually shows any drop off to actually make use of 6 blades to injure you or down you.

I have been looking at other people's videos as well who explain why Trickster is OP and Broken as well and I agree on a lot of what they had to say about Trickster in the last few months where they themselves explain why he is Broken just go to YouTube and search it yourself.

Sorry for the Ted Talk Rant but this has just been an issue for a while and I am just done by not voicing my opinion on it

Even if this is a troll... you do realize his maximum fire rate was decreased right? Also you can go to any loop with tall walls and boom his power takes twice as long to injure you unless he goes for a 4.4 hit. Not to mention the knife decrease was an actual impactful nerf. I cant count the amount of times that ive run out of knives at the worst times despite me using my power optimally.

Did you not realise you can D/C by suiciding on the hook?

You could only make it trigger after 1 minute of being on the floor or something. Then it is about as slow as someone who DC's through hook suicide.

Yes but at least when hooking they killer spends time doing it not someones down bleed out immediately then move on.

  • @JPA said:

As much as I like bleeding out players who were toxic to me in the match, I agree should probably have a suicide option when bleeding out.

You do realize that's literally a dc with no penalty right?

Honestly its just bad killer that complains about dead hard, for on many of my games I got too much proof of smart killers knowing how to counter it, if it needs to be gone so is noed for awarding a trash scrummy killers and we should be told stop doing bones for something someone may or may not have and that its our fault.

Hmm yes dh for distance = counterable. A statement no one says

  • @coolmacc said:

Add on is way to op better than corrupt better than ruin when it comes to early game pressure and killers say the game is survivor side

Hmm yes this game is totally killer sided when 4 survivors can stack 4 second chance perks, map offerings to badham, haddonfield, cold wind etc, having fast gen speed with ridiculous gen spreads, able to deny an entity block by slow vaulting a strong window, only having 5 gens to, open maps to see the killer from coming 1000 miles away. But killer sided game right? Also I hope you realize the video tape addon takes her 4 traps she starts with gets placed on the survivors head at the start of the trial and getting traps off isn't that hard.

  • Tbh but its never really a rework for these maps... It's usually a visual update that somehow makes them worse for killer as disturbed has a god window in it now with 2 guaranteed god pallets while still being huge, cold wind corn got buffed in survivors favor not to mention the maps bright af so following scratch marks is harder than it already is. gideon got turned from an okay map to god pallet mall and ormond didnt get changed much but still extremely bad for killer.

  • Im gonna go out on a limb and say any of the licensed maps, they're all so poorly designed loops/size.

  • As killer only you can see your ping in pre game lobbies but not mid game which idk why that's a thing meanwhile survivors and killers can see the survivors ping mid game.

  • @ASurvkillivorer said:

Or the survivor see it either. Asking this AS the killer. Why is it for everyone else and not the killer?

Getting really tired of this hit validation crap and I know my ping isn't bad so I wonder why it needs to be hidden from me.

Sitting here after flat out DCing as a match after I go to Demon smash someone with Oni only for them to move forward drop a pallet that instead of them being too late to hit me with. Or even break...STUNS me....with 100 ping.

When I am survivor my GD ping is like 30-40. Why the F is a guy with 100 ping getting priority over me at a pallet?

As killer you can see your ping in the pre game lobby but not mid game which idk why that is. Survivors and killers can tell the survivors ping by pausing during a match

  • I'd just love if that building didnt have a god window that looped into itself from either side.

Try to not be a potato against a skilled S tier killer who chases you down within 10 seconds like nurse, spirit or dpi blights.

You do realize dpi really doesn't influence blight anymore right? That was patched out with heli blight when they made the turn rate cap a hard one instead of soft. And by soft I mean original z flicks where the turn rate cap would reset if you stopped mid flick to flick again. Now you get perma capped once you look 90 degrees with a little extra turning by the normal rush turn speed of 1m/s.

  • @Labrac said:

The fact we need to fulfill a report with video evidence to get someone banned is a joke. That's something you would see in a very indie game, which DBD isn't since Halloween chapter. You're spending 10-15 minutes of your time reporting just for them to buy a new account for 2 bucks the next day.

Is the game that buggy that you can't implement an autoban feature for someone who uses hatchets as Ghostface? Or who speed hacks at Blight speed while slugged? Counter Strike had that back in 2002, almost 20 years ago! Meanwhile we're stuck with a system that "might impede you from entering the game", as I saw a mod commenting.

Yeah fill out a report for 15 minutes to get a single out of their multiple accounts banned. Not to mention they can have another account in less than 10 minutes for less than $5. The problem is only so big because they run on an outdated version of EAC and coded their game so poorly that they basically have to re-write the code to port it to a relevant version of EAC.

  • At this point I'm tempted to say that cheaters aren't their #1 priority. Which should be since if they didn't use an outdated version of EAC.... wait a minute they can't because their games code is so bad that they basically have to re-write it. Also reporting them basically does nothing since they can have another account in minutes.
