I don't prefer tunneling, so i don't really care anyway.
But i'd prefer for them to not make Enduring better.
It's already a great all-around Perk, and is fantastic combined with Spirit Fury.
We're not there yet, but i just don't want to see "Brutal Strength is almost required" 2.0
-
Idk, let's try it out! ๐ค

You'll get sick/tired/bored/whatever of a game at some point, no matter the cause.
I thought Left 4 Dead 2 would always be my most-played game on Steam, sitting at 900 hours currently.
DbD is over 2k hours now.
Granted, i play it WAY less. (Pretty much 3/4th was made in the first half of the game's life.)
But i start it more than L4D2.

I don't really mind any Obsession Perk besides Decisive Strike.
And i also don't mind how it works, i just dislike being stunned in general.
But every now and then, there's a match that doesn't play the "You got an Obsession!" sound in the beginning, and i can't help but go EEYYYY!

I'd actually like to hear him say "SON OF A-" whenever someone fails a healing Skill Check on him.
-
I'd like to see it be an Add-on that makes you charge up the throw longer than usual, but once it's fully charged, she rapidly throws all remaining Hunting Hatchets she has remaining one by one, all at full strength.

No thanks, i don't like post-Generator Perks.
-
No.
-
It's very good at what it does, but it's just alright on anyone who has a good chase Power.
-
Red ping that doesn't leave.
-
Predator looks like it increases the amount of scratchmarks as well.
-
Yeah, 1 dev.

ofc it can mean just that. he is just ONE person in the dev team so he can certainly have this opinion about a perk.
So you mean he wanted this in the beginning and then not anymore and now he does again?
-
Idk what you mean with full circle.
NOED existed since the beginning, so him wanting to remove it can't be it...

Same with survivor names and links to their Steam profiles.
My Steam is not your damn business.
Oh well you can private your Steam account. ๐

For fun i'd actually go for Nightmare.
Not anything special, but i just bore myself with Pig & Clown.
I prefer Block Add-ons on him though, i don't want to wait.
-
But how well do you know him? ๐
-
I saw it when it was about to go in beta on the store randomly.
I was searching for a new hook, and found...literally hooks.
-
They buffed it very well.

Well, it depends on the situation whenever you're picked up. If there's a lot of obstacles, you could look in that direction and possibly cause the killer to get stuck. Regardless, what's the worst that can happen with this change?
Actually, the worst that could happen is nothing.
And i do mean nothing: In theory, i think i'll find this as easy to counter as regular wiggling.
I already said okay to this as i'm all for this kind of movement freedom, but the worst outcome is that, from how i see it, i'll just have to press buttons a bit quicker to respond to their chosen directions.
Only Boil Over 3 is ever a problem, and that's cause i don't expect it at first. (Not even Boil Over 2 is bothersome enough for me.)
-
The only thing i find meh about regression is the Survivors' TapToFix.
I can live with the current regression speed.
But the tap makes it look like the same kick you use on Pallets isn't powerful at all.
I'd prefer the current "Apply regression" animation to be replaced with the Killer cutting through a wire. (Btw, it's safe to cut them lorewise as the Generator isn't powered yet.)
Then the Survivor needs to do their own 2-3 second animation to reattach them (which doesn't save progress if you stop in any way), from which they can also be grabbed.

Hah, as if i needed more reasons to avoid red ranks.

Btw, on your footnote: I became a Killer-only player not too long ago.

Watch out, they've got you surrounded with their dominance!

I know 1 can be skipped, but just why it it that damn loud? I didn't know 2 is a bug, which kinda makes this game more broken imo. And 3 is kinda my opinion, but I know a few other people have problems with it too.
Hey if the intro's too loud, of course i don't mind if it's made more quiet. ๐
Pallet's a problem though since we're not allowed to have individual volume sliders that we can control.
And for good reason, since every Killer would turn off chase music for example.
It's probably this loud to mask the Survivor's running noises.
It's also why you look down, to hide their movement.
Not saying i don't feel bad for your ears, but i don't think they'll lower it.
-
1 can be skipped, so it doesn't really bother me.
And if i wanna watch it, i can go on YouTube.
2 is a bug and should be gone soon if not already.
3 is...an opinion? I don't think it's too loud but you think it is.
Idk what else to tell you, i can live with it.
-
Wraith.
I love uncloaking and stopping chases before they even begin with Devour Hope.
-
Cool.
For Devour Hope, they could remove the 2 Token bonus entirely and grant you a *permanent* 5% movement speed bonus instead when it gets cleansed.

I assume along with this change we would add an equally long animation to insta heals correct?
Then that's just normal healing with some Add-ons.

exceptional, thank you for your input and your polite response. And no worries, I understand the rarity that is saltless matches. Devour is pretty cool, maybe if hexes are tuned to not stress the killer as much Iโll give it a whirl again.
I guess i view Devour Hope in a similar way i view No Mither: It isn't meant to always give you a benefit.
And while No Mither is certainly more problematic to the Survivor than Devour Hope to the Killer, they both present their own kind of challenge.
Can i survive with No Mither?
Can i keep Devour Hope up and use its abilities?
That's just how i view it though, maybe devs really do think this is a viable "I'm gonna play at rank 1 all month" Perk.

So is hangmans trick ok? I think so far it's the only perk alongside huntress lullaby that no one has said about changing.
It seems weak to me.
Granted, that weakness only stems from almost no one using Sabo effectively.
Lullaby just shouldn't be a Hex Perk.
Maybe raise the amount of Tokens needed to make the noise disappear, but it doesn't need to be a Hex.
-
It was around 3 minutes consistently, now it's all over the place below 3 minutes.
Which is cool, but also weird, or new rather.
-
But would you get a star for reaching rank 1 or for staying at rank 1?
Cause one's easy (get there) while the other one can be cheesed easily. (Get there and don't play until reset.)
-
I'm not a guy who notices details a lot, but i think i see a tiny screen shake on the second kick?
That's nice detail, makes it feel like your Killer feels the pressure of breaking wood.
Edit: Hah, nevermind, just noticed in the Reddit post that the new one has that as well.
Still, the old one has the leg positioned in the right location and you can see how your arms move, which move in a way that makes it look like you put both your strength and weight into it.
With the new animation, it feels like you're doing what Tru3 always says: Bop, bop.

and your voice is just as important as mine. Genuinely, thank you for your input. Devour hope is pretty cool, suppose hexes are just not my thing and it would be pretty cool to have something that behaved like tombstone, that you had to sweat for to earn in a match, not really just place 10 hag traps around it lol.
I only prefer how it is now because of the reward it offers.
Anything as powerful as this without a drawback this huge would guaranteed meet a nerf.
But nothing else can grant this kind of power.
I also love that most people don't ever complain about it, because it's a build-up.
I can actually trash a team (well, y'know, sometimes) without receiving salt.
That's rare.
I don't mind you disliking Hexes, i certainly do too.
But this Perk's just too much fun for me, it's Perk choice #1 in my main build.
Huh, how's that for a conversation? ๐

Yes. Leave simple responses and emojis. Thanks for the constructive conversation guys.
I simply don't want your idea to be a thing, i prefer how it is now.

No thanks.

If you like baiting Pallets and you're Wraith, hold the button to ring your Wailing Bell for like half a second when you normally do a lunge through the Pallet.
They'll see your arms moving and think you're attacking.
Now they'll either drop the Pallet (and you'll be prepared so you back up in time), or they keep running, which is fine cause you won't lose any speed and probably catch up in the next circle you're being looped.
Of COURSE it doesn't always work, but still handy.
-
First, i'd like to say there's not really anything wrong with not being able to play.
I got 3 other games installed that are VERY carefree, it's great after a while of DbD.
But i did read you WANT to play more, so here goes...
First, find what you like to do a LOT in this game, something specific.
Can be anything: Getting all four kills, Totem hunting, saving your fellow Survivors no matter what, specific builds, blabla.
Then just focus on only that.
If that gets boring, find something else.
Of course that's just advice, you are free to deny it.

Yea it's very bad but it is good for new players who aren't great at the game. I find it hard to buff because it could quite easily become really strong
Fair enough.

@Boss Oh, I was under the impression it was. That's why I've never said ggez before 'cause I don't wanna be toxic.
I really wouldn't be surprised if just that triggers people.
"GG EZ" "ye cuz u camp n tunel bish!"
"GG EZ" "ye cuz u genrus bish!"
I don't see a peaceful way out. ๐คฃ

you need to play actual competitive games more. ggez is toxic by definition.
I've played LoL for like 2 months.
After that, GG EZ is NOTHING.

Dead by daylight is suppose to be a horror game and survivors should earn an escape with a disadvantage all of the horror films killers have the upper hand so why can't it be the same for this game
I agree, just saying i would shrug it off IF it were to happen.
