Why? Because its to hard for you to go after the rescuer? Sorry man, thats just no argument.

Why Is it on the Killer to fix a survivors mistake? Going for the injured survivor is just the smart choice.

Unfun for the person of the hook sure but so would having to switch targets to a healthy one and start chasing all over again when you could simply get another hook and give a bad play a pass.

  • I'd like to say Tuesday but who knows.

We usually don't know until the day they release it so no date to look forward to..

  • I hate this so much πŸ˜‚ The amount of times I'm called a camper for going after someone who's trying to save is ridiculous.

If I know someone's there you bet I'm going to stay and look for them around the hook. and If they then unhook in front of me I'm going to go for the injured target over the healthy, It shouldn't be on the killer to fix the survivors mistake of an unsafe unhook.

  • Try to think of it in terms of your team, he gets 1k and you saved your whole team. That's a win in my book. Camping is a strategy, a bad one and unfun but there's nothing that can really be done about it without changing the game completely for people who don't camp.

  • Because added time is considered unfun for survivors, I don't get it.

Killers desperately need something to help slow down the game with the current gen times.

  • That's Michael's whole Power, It's a trade off.

You get to do gens and he looses time but is able to stalk up for the one-hit. Michael is far from OP.

While I agree that some Killers have OP add ons, There's also OP Add ons for survivors. It goes both ways. You can't talk about getting rid of one without the other.

I hope this is more of a side effect of the new system and not an intentional change. Hard to tell with these devs sometimes.

It's intentional, They don't want Killers to Lobby dodge SWF anymore but ignore the reasons they do in the first place. I guess you just have to assume every game is a 4 Man now.... how fun.

  • Sadly I don't see them bridging the gap between Solo and SWF, They really should though, I'm against voice coms since it'd ruin the atmosphere of the game but there's been plenty of ideas that don't involve that, My favorite was having icons beside the players showing what action they are doing. SWF Is a majority of the player base and should be taken into account when balancing the game.

As for bloodlust, I disagree, It's there for a reason. If you've looped long enough for the Killer to get bloodlust you've already done a good job. chases should not go on indefinitely, If they could a lot of things would have to be looked into to balance that.

  • That's the problem though, Games are going way to fast due to gen times, Most killers need something to help slow down the game.

It might be deemed 'unfun' to have a few seconds added to actions but People only want the Thana buff to help them out with the time crunch killers are already on.

  • I wouldn't be as upset if Pallets weren't busted. Ever since a couple of months ago You can be standing at the edge of a loop or a meter from the pallet, even just walking by it and still get stunned.

  • Fire up is a perk that by design is great but in play thanks to it's values doesn't really do much, Same as the current Thana. I was excited to hear they both got a buff but sadly the fire up buff isn't enough IMO and the Thana buff was replaced with a nerf....

  • @xChrisx said:

They should change the stun timer to 4 seconds yeah because against enduring its useless. And change the timer too, 60s is too short, 120 more usefull and balanced

So you want it to have no counter again? A Perk countering a perk seems fair to me.

I don't know how long your games are but 60 seconds is a huge amount of time, in a ten minute game that's 10% of the whole match you have Immunity unless the killer has a counter perk.

People are forgetting how strong this perk is going to be in the end game, It's basically a self borrowed time and If the gates are open it would be a free escape. If your in a SWF It's going to be hell for the killer. It needs to have enduring as a semi-counter for it to not be broken.

  • I don't understand the nerf either, how did they do a complete 180 and go from thinking a perk needed a buff to it needing a nerf.

It's a shame that anything that slows down the game is considered unfun, I was hoping the new Thana could do a better job and helping with gen rush than the 20 seconds ruin gets you. I guess sloppy is still the best option.

How is it OP? It's only a 3 second stun and you can only use it 60 seconds after you get unhooked...

In end game It will be, If the gates are open It'll be a free escape.

60 seconds is a huge amount of time with how fast games are, and if survivors are smart they'll save DS for end game. Plus you can Combine it with Deliverance or Borrowed time.

  • That's a shame, I actually considered using it in my builds. I'm confused as to why they decided to change it, It seemed like nobody had a problem with it.

  • Yes, It's a good thing. The new DS would be incredibly OP in the end game if it wasn't effected by Enduring.

  • Maybe Nurse and Spirit, any killer that keeps them on their toes.

Most Killers are pretty weak vs a SWF and some even against solo so survivors tend to get cocky and start to taunt because they know their safe.

  • Yep, I take brakes all the time, Lately I haven't played much at all apart from the PTB to test the new killer.

I love the game but it just gets kind of stale playing the same Trail over and over. Well that and the fact that at high ranks Killer can get incredibly stressful. It used to not bother me but now All it takes is a couple of toxic SWF Games to kill my will to play...

I don't think it would. You'd still every so often get those one hook mori kills because of people not saving the survivor until struggle. Its just not all survivors are loop and juke gods and for those types of survivors a mori is really unfair. For those swf that are good loopers and jukers it'll give them an edge against a mori but its a better idea to me than just one hook and you're out or one mistake gets you moried

But it would. That survivor is dying anyways if they're on death hook regardless, If Moris were only usable on Death hook they'd be pretty much useless.

Everything you said about moris being unfair/unfun can be said about Keys too, Personally I wouldn't mind if both Moris and Keys were to go completely.

  • I mean Yes but that blocks vaulting, What I meant was there no Killer Perk specifically designed to help with the slow down to Vaulting completely like there is for Survivors stagger with Balanced Landing. The speed boost for bamboozle still makes vaulting 3 times slower for killer than a survivors fast vault.

  • I mean that'd basically make Mori's loose their strength since the survivor is dead on hook anyway. On killers with a long mori like clown it'd be quicker to just hook instead of using the Mori.

and then what about Keys, do we remove them entirely to make up for it?

  • This trend of DCing against Killers you don't like is really going to kill this game.

Seriously how hard is it to Just die on hook that way you waste time for your team rather than dcing out the gate, the killer gets points and you avoid a Ban.

  • Killers are slowed by Vaults, Survivors by Landing. The Difference is If survivors want to stop the stagger from falling there's a perk for that, Balanced landing. There's no Killer perk specifically for Vaulting.

If there was a stagger put on Killers falls a lot of maps would have to be looked into and fixed, It'd be a lot of work for something that's not needed.

  • I've stopped using it, It only ever lasts a couple of seconds and then you have the rest of the game with 3 perks, Gens do get done super quickly right of the bat but at least with something like sloppy butcher or the new Thana you'll stall the game a bit longer. I'd give it maybe a 2

  • Pig I could understand but Wraith on the other hand his whole thing is going invisible and not being seen, I was so surprised when I found out his Aura shows when he's cloaked.

  • 20 seconds I think it is

  • I agree with what you said, for me when I think of Balance I think of how competent a Killer is in the trial, and also how survivors play against them but yes the effectiveness of their powers is a huge part of that too.

  • Hillbilly is probably the perfect example and Spirit to an extent.

    Oh my god 🀣

  • I think this is the best were going to get her, I'd love if the heal was removed from the fountains but we got to take what we can get.

Let's just be thankful she's not low Tier, Maybe we'll see her being used in red ranks, I don't know. I feel like once survivors learn to play against her she'll be mid.

  • Hopeful thinking, This week. There isn't any Drastic changes needed from the PTB, a couple of bugs but nothing major. So as soon as they're all smoothed out.

But Realistically probably next week which is a shame since I'm loosing hype.

If they really wanted it to be counter to tunneling, ds would be active until someone else gets hooked after you've been unhooked. but nah just make it about as useful as no one left behind because balance!

So you want full immunity from the killer until they hook someone else? What's balanced about that?

60 seconds is a huge amount of time considering how fast these games are. Even if you stretch the trial out to 10 mins that's 10% of the whole match you have a free escape.

  • What was the reason for the DS Stun to not be effected by Enduring?

  • You don't think a free escape from the hook when the gates are open is strong?

Head on Is a nice perk but very situational, It'll be best used in the Basement.

  • When lockers were buffed to hide Auras they meant to hide all aura but for some reason only hid them from the Killer, This is a follow up to what was meant to be.

Please tell me how you think running Object of obsession and hiding in a locker while telling your friends exactly where the killer is, is fair?

If nobody can see your Aura, You shouldn't be able to see anyone else's.

  • So instead of risking healing a slugged person that 5% you can just tap them to bring them back up? Damn I didn't think healing needed a buff but oh well πŸ™„

  • New DS is going to be super strong again now that they said Enduring wont effect it. Combine that Deliverance or Borrowed Time and it's pretty much a free escape end game, much better then head on imo.

SWF teams are going to have a great time with the new DS.

  • @Condorloco_26 said:

They're basically saying "eat it, #########"

Pretty much, there's no counter to the new DS now, Either Slug for 60 seconds and throw the game or take the stun and give the survivor the free escape but this time it'll be 4 times.

Mclean said on stream people weren't happy with the stun time of the new DS and that Enduring shouldn't and wont effect it. I wonder if they'll up the stun time for the live version now too?

  • I can't figure out why but Apparently it is Intended.

It's going to be an insane end game perk. If combined with Deliverance or Borrowed time It's basically a free escape from the hook.

  • Yeah Hatch is probably the most boring part of the game, I usually just tab out when there's one survivor left unless I see them, It's just not fun trying to find a hiding person or guard the hatch.

Besides there's not much you can do anyways in terms of hatch apart from a stand off and that's a whole new level of boring.

  • It's not exactly that black and white, a Killer can be weak at his Base while also being used well. Just because you can play a Killer well doesn't mean they are strong, Some people can 4k with Freddy but that doesn't make him a strong killer. There's no doubt he's a very weak Killer.

Just as an FYI Legion actually does require effort. If you aren't moonwalking or using Frank's Tapes, he can actually be a frustrating killer: he's 110% speed with barely any map pressure. People say that Legion is a braindead killer that doesn't require effort, but he's actually one of the weaker killers on the list, so, you know.

Oh That's what I meant, Franks Mix tape on him makes him easy to use, at Base he's a pretty weak killer.

  • It's how the game's designed 😐️ I Love playing Killer but I have to agree, It's pretty stressful sometimes especially if your not playing the top 3 Killers. Killer's just have so much to manage and you have to stay pretty focused.

I usually have to take brakes from the game because It stops being fun at a certain point or I get Burnt out, but I still always come back.

If killer was easier I think It might ruin the fun for survivors, Just Look at legion. Part of me wants to buy Legion and just play him constantly since he doesn't require so much effort but he does kind of ruin the game in terms of fun for the other side.

  • Huntress Is alright, She's stronger than plague. Her hatchets always damage unlike plague's sickness.

The thing about plague's Corrupt sickness is that she has to give up any map pressure to go and collect the power up and then is on a timer to use the power so if she either can't find or doesn't land a hit in time it's wasted. Plus the survivors decide where and if to give her that power up.

  • It sucks, DCs are a huge problem right now, almost every game if it's not going someones way they'll DC.

Bans are being given out to people who DC a lot but I mean even Fog Whispers are DCing for stupid reasons.

  • Surprised by the amount of people saying Wraith, I almost Never see him at Red Ranks even from watching streamers he never shows.

Usually it's Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Spirit and Legion which doesn't surprise me since they are the Viable ones at high ranks.

  • Slugging, Patrolling, Tunneling - Do what you gotta do πŸ™‚ There's no rule saying you have to play a certain way to make sure the other side is having fun, Same goes Survivors.

The only thing I'd say is toxic and that you probably shouldn't do would be to face camp.

  • I feel like once survivors learn to play against Plague she'll be Upper Mid tier.

PTB is a strange way to gauge a killer's strength since people generally don't play 'sweaty' and often on the first few games will actually seek out the killer. I think it's too early to tell.

  • I don't know. I feel like Billy is probably the most balanced killer we have. If you want to get rid of a Balanced killers OP add on then you also have to think about it the other way around and recognize that survivors also have OP add ons.

and the on top of that there's SWF which is a whole other situation.

  • I'm in the same boat, I loved playing wraith but i got to a point where he just couldn't handle decent survivors so I switched to Spirit and love playing her and she's so much more viable at red ranks.

I also don't like nurse because of her fatigue and Billy I just hate his design πŸ˜‚ so she was the next best thing. I was hoping the new Killer would be high tier since shes fun to play as too but I doubt she will be.
