  • I think he means the screams and grunts. Survivors talking in the trial would ruin the atmosphere of the game, It'd honestly be silly in my opinion.

  • They'd mentioned before that they wanted to do something with the Killers FOV but I don't think anything came of it.

I'd love a 3rd person camera view for killer to see the killer you play as in the game but It'd probably be broken on a lot of killers and it'd probably be harder to judge attacks.

  • I don't think so, I know they'll have 10 stations up and the Devs will be playing.

I don't know if a live stream would be a good idea with how games are right now. It'd just showcase the amount of DCs, Infinite loads, 2/3V1's and a messed up matchmaking system.

  • We've asked for this for so long :( I hate having so many mist or farm map offerings I'm never going to use but am forced to buy to finish the bloodwebs.

  • I get your frustrations, I'm holding out and going to wait the few days to see how bad MoM really is. If it's as bad as old DS I doubt I'll be playing all that often anymore but fingers crossed it wont be.

The DC meta I feel is a mindset thing rather than gameplay, People will DC if they feel the match isn't going their way or they don't like the killer. The only real solution to this is to crack down on DCs, Investigate if the reasons are legitimate or not.

The Games in a terrible state right now, Loosing players and too many bugs/crashes to count. Business wise it's a smart move to release a DLC to stop people from leaving while they work on the issues.

Personally I think they need to invest in a larger team to help with the growing problems and the lengthy time it takes to solve them.

  • Other issues aside Cross platform with dedicated servers and log in BHVR accounts would be an amazing step forward in my opinion and lock in some longevity for the game.

They could allow you to choose to rank up or not. You can always lose rank, but you can opt out of ranking up at any point.

Might give players more control over the matches they play on a regular basis and give them the chance for more fun games.

They might have to start looking at people stopping their rank.. since not everyone cares to rank up or not.

That'd just give people a tool to play against newer or less skilled players. You can't give people control over their rank or they'll just exploit it for easier games.

I think a Casual mode without rank instead would be a nice option.

  • It's not like this is a regular thing 😁 You'll have plenty of time to P3 Jane, Plague and Ash before the next DLC.

  • I rarely play survivor so I'm not to fussed about it.

All his perks are pretty strong, Mettle of man seems like it could be the new DS which would be horrible but lets see how it plays out first before going crazy.

  • It's a complete disaster to be honest, How they thought it was okay to let it go live with Rank 20-15s going against rank 1s Is beyond me.

Better pings but that's about it.

  • @Kenshin said:

yeah new matchmaking is back o.O but i cant see any patch or news about it lol

They posted on twitter saying they updated it but it's just as worse as before to me in terms of rank, maybe the changes were to ping, I don't know.

  • Personally, As soon as Killer becomes stressful or unfun I take a brake, No point in playing if you're not having fun anymore.

  • @McCree said:

I actually prefer this matchmaker which is quite weird... anw normally the reason u'd have ranks is so you'd get a reward when the "season" ends but they have never done anything about that.

I don't know, I find it unfair and also sure way to make newer players have a hard time right from the beginning.

  • I Completely understand the pressure they're under and how much they have to do with DLC Chapters alone. I'm sure they're working very hard but I can't help feel they don't have a large enough team to handle the game and everything that needs to be done.

  • They reverted it after the backlash and then went ahead and changed it back? They seriously just want quantity over quality?

This just ruins matches and no doubt will turn newer people away from the game having to face veteran players all the time.

  • Yeah I've been feeling the same lately, I play a game for fun and found myself not really having fun playing Killer, along side all of the issues in the game right now I think It's time for a brake even tho I just came back from one pre-plague.

  • @Boss said:

I just want Nightmare's full invisibility on Wraith.

I want this so much, People are too used to the shimmer wraith gives that it's almost impossible to get a scare anymore 😓

  • She's not the worst Killer but she's far from the best, I'd say she's straight up Mid tier and How effective she is relies heavily on survivors you face, If they know to dodge the vomit and loop then she's not going to do well but if they run in a straight line she'll get you down fast.

She's only really a threat in a wide Open area or with corrupt purge, which she has to give up any patrolling/chases to go and get giving up even more of her non existent map pressure unless you stumble upon one.

Her Power also instantly heals survivors at a fountain so any healing time done by survivors in the game is gone which gives more time to do gens so you find yourself being gen rushed often.

She's joins the growing group of non-viable killers at red ranks sadly.

  • I never rely on sound anymore, It used to be a good tool, hell they even said DBD was a game of sound but they messed with it so much that It's very unreliable.

Footsteps are so feint for killers but you can clearly hear them when playing survivor. It's so odd maybe it's because the Chase music is so loud that it drowns out any grunts of pain or movement. But also, walls and objects also muffle and quieten the sounds of survivors so there's that too.

  • If they decide to add a totem counter, It's totems as a whole I'm worried about. They are already so easily found and take only 14 seconds to do, The whole thrill that NOED and Devour Hope brings to the game is that something so meaningless as a dull totem has the potential to be a survivors downfall if they dismiss it.

With a counter NOED looses that fear end game, there'd be no guessing anymore of if there's noed and it becomes useless. Devour Hope would probably be less likely to proc since survivors would be probably cleanse dull totems asap.

Survivors should already be playing like this though, we shouldn't need a counter to convince people to cleanse totems.

  • I'd just like to say that Nurse wasn't exploiting, That's a meme build. You forfeit the game and give a surprise at the end, It's actually pretty funny if you ask me.

@Bongbingbing That is something I could vouch for. I mean yeah, I felt bad for the new players getting crushed but the wait times were so long that it was absolutely ridiculous.

It’s what drives my friends to say ######### it and go play a different game. I don’t mind playing a different game but there are times I’d rather play DBD with friends... and these long wait times ain’t it..,

@PinkEricka I completely get that but the same thing can be said for those newer players, I know if I was facing rank 1 Killers or survivors when I first started I wouldn't want to continue to play.

I think the solution would be an incentive for those higher ranked players to stay in higher ranks every month since a lot of people will actively try to stay in a lower rank just to get games.

I won't put the blame on streamers for the actions of others, as it's not their responsibility to babysit the community. Fog Whisperers would be an exception to this rule I'd imagine, but I'm not familiar with what their duties actually entail.

There may be streamers that popularize the idea that it's ok to disconnect from a game if it doesn't meet your criteria for fun, and if their following is big enough, that does have to potential to spread to a more impressionable audience. Again, unless they're purposely going against the spirit (waahhh!) of a role like Fog Whisperer, it's not their responsibility to maintain the overall health of the game, even if it's only advantageous for them to do so.

This is a human problem. The community will have to somehow fix itself and deal with this bizarre level of entitlement, or watch the game slowly dwindle in time.

I completely agree, I would like to see stricter rules in place but yes, if a Streamer does this it's entirely up to them and anyone who follows from watching the same for them But Fog whisperers are another story.

Fog Whisperers are people who are chosen directly by BHVR. If they exploit the game by deranking or begin to DC against any killer they find unfun that sends a message that BHVR supports this kind of behavior in the game. They should really keep tabs on the people they've chosen to promote the game.

  • The matchmaking completely messed up the game. You had people that were rank 20s and 15s playing with or against rank 1s. No matter how fast the games were that's not okay, We may aswell just get rid of rank altogether then if that was the case.

  • DCing needs more punishment, obviously people aren't being punished enough for DCing but Honestly I don't see that happening.

Even fog whisperers will DC or Derank and spread the idea that this kind of behavior is acceptable to their audiences.

  • Did they change the Pipping too? Pretty much everyone was depipping since it came out. If so Give it a a day or two and the lobbies should go back to how they were before.

If not then if your red ranks.. good luck finding a game.

  • She was fun to play in the PTB probably because people didn't know how to play against her but honestly now that the initial excitement of a new killer has faded, I don't find her that fun at all.

Maybe Green/purple Ranks she'd do better but sadly she's another killer to add to the list that wont be viable at red ranks or against SWF.

  • It's random but yes it's very rare, I've gone past 50 levels without getting an Ebony mori sometimes. It's all luck.

  • There's just so many issues going on right now It's hard to pick just 1 or 2.

    1. The Biggest Issue right now Is probably the Loading screen DCs, With the long wait times you have people waiting 10 mins for a match only for it to be a 3v1 which nobody finds fair.
    2. Then The Matchmaking, You have people brand new to the game going against rank 1s. It's madness and probably turning those newer players away.
    3. SWF Is a huge Balance issue and If I had any say I'd have done something about it a long time ago but right now I don't see any changes coming to it especially with the abundant of other issues in the game.
    4. The new Pipping is just god awful and should be reverted back until they come up with a better solution.
    5. Whatever happened to spirit needs to be fixed asap.
    6. The Entity not blocking Vaults is a pretty game braking bug also.

That's just of the top of my head, I could go on and on....

  • For people to Genrush with adrenaline and not worry about her power at all? That's a hard no for me. There's a reason why you become broken, It's the only real downside to being sick and forces you to use the fountains.

Killers hit through vaults and and can grab over pallets easily

This isnt to mention the long animations which make it even harder to escape

If your on a pallet you can stun them again by dropping it and If you do Fast vaults those are 0.5 seconds, Still quicker then the enduring stun.

But anyway can you not see the potential this perk has against a killer without enduring? If all 4 save the perk till end game, Usually end game doesn't last that long. That 1 minute immunity is very strong and gives you plenty of time to get to the exit gates.

I think the issue people have is that they're trying to use it like old DS. Trust me if you save this for end game it becomes a very good perk.

Not to mention a free escape shouldn't be a guarantee, It's a punishment to the killer for tunneling yes but in the end game tunneling has to be done or you loose.

  • Plague is a mid tier killer and overall opinion from survivors I've seen was that she's fun to play against.

I think it's more of a survivor thing then anything to do with the plague. It's a minority but there's this growing mindset of DCing as soon as you see yourself loosing or if you don't like the Killer.

  • Enduring is for stuns, If Enduring didn't effect it then it's a guarantee and would be abused by SWF end game for essentially free escapes if the gates are open.

A little tip, if you know your going to go down try to get to a window or pallet, even if you slugged. If you're by a window or on a pallet you can get away easily, I've seen it many times. Or Alternatively you could combine it with Dead hard to dodge the next hit and get to a new loop.

  • I mean it's still a horror game aesthetic and mechanic wise but yeah the scary aspect to the game fades after your first few days of playing.

  • With the new obsession changes Dying light is useless if anyone is running DS. I wouldn't risk running it to be honest.

  • It's such a huge map and the amount of good loops is insane, It's amazing for survivor but for most killers it's hell.

  • I was surprised to see there wasn't a big increase in players at release too, Honestly it could be for a bunch of different reasons.

Personally I was excited for the chapter but after the plague's nerf I'm waiting it out to see if she'll be worth it for me and I can't go back to spirit since she was broke with this update giving noise notifications when she uses her powers so I haven't really been playing at all.

I know for others there's been different reasons like getting bored of the same Games over and over, fed up with the DC's/Crashes or simply not having fun anymore. Ultimately there's no one reason why people aren't playing but yes the Devs should probably be concerned.

  • Generally as long as you're not in an open area with Plague you should be fine. It's all about braking the line of sight and keeping distance.

She's not really a threat to anyone who can loop since this is her downfall. When she does get corrupt, I'd suggest to spread out from one another and play stealthy until the corruption is over, This basically gives you the free heals from the fountain and takes away her power if she can't find anyone in time. But if you do get caught while she has the power up, Just try to loop structures and brake line of sight, treat her like a huntress with quick hatchets. Also Use the fountains furthest away from her to force her to give up map pressure if she does decide to go and get the power up. you can also crouch right by a pallet and she can't hit you with her vomit.

Overall, I'd say she would be a Higher mid tier but after her nerf she's a straight up mid tier killer. The slow down she receives when holding helps you get that distance and brake LOS.

  • I'm sorry but if it didn't effect it then DS would be insane in the end game once the gates are opened. A Perk for a perk is fair in my opinion.

DCs are a symptom of an issue. Bans are just a palliative. They fix the symptom, not the issue.

You ban people, you don't fix the issue, simple.

Find out what the issue is, why are people dc'ing and fix that instead.

People who DC against killers the find unfun are the issue though, Banning them solves that.

If you were to make every killer fun for every survivor to make them not DC, Firstly We'd have no Killers left and Secondly and most importantly that would reward that kind of entitled behavior.

  • According to steamcharts it's been about the same for about 9/10 months with a few dips and rises in average players. Not dying, but not really growing either.

  • It's pretty hit or miss, Sometimes it can go trough the survivors model and not count as a hit, I tend to aim for the middle or foot of the survivors it seems to work better but even still it doesnt count sometimes.

  • I Don't know about everyone else but personally I was so excited for this DLC Update but with all the good it brought there were things I didn't like, so yes I start to complain in a way about some bugs/changes that concerned me. Complaints aren't inherently a bad thing, especially in a game like this.

For me the things that really had me upset was the Fact that the Plague got nerfed on arrival even though general consensus on her was she was in a good place, not too strong and not too weak.

and then there's this whole Spirit thing, After the update she now gives a noise notification when going in and out of the spirit world and Vault, Which completely destroys her power. If this is a bug or not I don't know but It's definitely something that warrants a complaint.

  • I wish we could adjust chase music, It's so loud and distracting sometimes, You can't hear any grunts or footsteps (Even though footsteps outside of a chase are almost non existent anyways).

  • I thought if anything they'd buff the infection times on objects and that'd be it, I never thought they'd nerf her the way they did.

I don't recall anyone complaining about her being OP, Majority of survivor mains I watch said she actually felt balanced and fun to play against. I Just don't understand where this nerf came from.

  • I'd actually really like this, No chasing people out and no standing around waiting for the last person to get hatch.

  • She's stronger then Bubba no doubt. Simply because of her corrupt purge power.

In PTB I would've put her behind huntress but since her nerf I'd say she's Mid tier.

  • If you know the killer has Rancor you better stay away from them while your the obsession, This is why the perk shows you the killers aura.

If you're the rancor obsession as soon as that last gen pops you Hide and try to get out the exit gates asap.

  • It does seem pretty huge, It's got a lot of strong loops too. I pity any slow killers on this map.

  • They Nerfed the only way she was being played, even though they said themselves that that was how she was meant to be played.

Now you're forced to charge up when you see a survivor instead of being able to puke when you want. You now give them distance between you since she slows down a huge amount when charging and then goes to huntress speed when holding.

And if you have to do this more than once which most of the time you do, you give them even more distance because of the constant slow downs.

I don't understand the nerf, She didn't need it.
