They need to crack down on it, Especially with fog whisperers. These are the people promoting your game and to have them spread this idea that DCing is okay is killing the game. There's DCs every single game..
I'm just waiting for When this way of thinking spreads so far that killers start to DC at the rate of that Survivors are now and nobody can play a game.. Maybe then they'll do something about it.
-
You'd think it would be the opposite and the Devs would be Harsher with the rules when it comes to fog whisperers since Their actions left unpunished make it seem like BHVR promotes that kind of behavior by association.
-
You're joking right?
It's a second chance when you should be going down that occurs naturally trough the game, No set up required and triggers automatically with a speed boost and the killer slows down to wipe their weapon, Oh and not to mention has 0 actual counters.
If you think MoM is fair then let's just give the Killer a perk that let's them instadown a survivor in the healthy state after hitting them 3 times.
-
Or even worse, after 3 basic attacks on a survivor the next hit on them in the healthy state is an Insta-down..
To anyone defending MoM saying it isn't as bad as everyone's making it out to be, would you be happy for this perk for killer's? I doubt it.
-
@HeHeBoii Oh I'm aware of how they deal with Killer issues, It's more of very wishful thinking. 😂 Well that and the combination of the player base continuously dropping even with 2 DLC's back to back makes me think they'd want to keep the current players around.
-
I'm still going to be watching streams and checking the forums but as far as playing, Nah I don't find the game fun lately. Hopefully that changes soon though, I love this game.
-
It has to be nerfed, It's a free escape with a speed boost for doing nothing.
And If this Bug thing is true that Mclean said and Nurses Blink hits should count towards it, that means any killer without an M2 attack has no way around it.
To anyone saying the perk is fine, Would you be okay with the Killer equivalent? An Instadown on a healthy survivor after hitting them 3 times first, I highly doubt it.
-
It'll most likely be nerfed. No way it stays like this, If you're buying Ash just for MoM I'd think twice about it.
Could you imagine the killer equivalent? After hitting a Survivor 3 times the next Healthy hit is an Insta-down? and for each survivor too? That'd be Broken as hell.

Newest informations I recently picked up:
A combination of M2 + followed up with M1 counts as a stack for MoM (and also as a trigger to activate). M2 by itself doesn't count.
It's currently bugged that's why the first case (m2 + followed up m1) doesn't trigger MoM.
Basically, nearly all killers don't have counter against MoM after it got "fixed"
That's what I'm thinking too, By them saying it's bugged for nurse hits, That makes me think it's intended to be effected by any M1. If that's the case I seriously question the Devs understanding of their own game even more so.
That or they just want to bend the rules for a killer that counters the perk and are calling it a bug.
-
They need to pick a side, You can't just pick and choose which special attacks count and which don't...
Such a badly designed perk.
-
If that's the case then the description needs to be changed, Blink hits are not basic hits.
Does this mean attacks out of powers should count towards it too like Wraith, Spirit, Freddy, hag and clown? Basically any killer without an m2 attack gets completely ######### over by this perk since they've literally no way around it and it happens naturally trough the game.
Part of me think it was only M1 hits out of powers but they want it to effect nurse too....
-
So It's not just basic attacks, It's attacks out of powers too, wow.
So any Killer that doesn't have an M2 attack has no way to avoid this perk... jesus.
-
Nope, Watched multiple people play against her today and yesterday, You can still clearly hear when she phases or vaults.
-
Sadly I'm at 6, I love this game and hope I'll play again but the game was just bringing me frustration and stress which Isn't what I want from a game so I stopped playing.
-
I completely get you, I haven't played since plagues release and have decided to do the same. Hopefully I'll get the itch to play again but I just haven't lately.
The Past few months have kind of killed my will to play but I kept the game installed,There's so many reasons but ultimately after today's update I realized I have this game installed that I have no enjoyment playing anymore so I uninstalled.

The comments here are ridiculous. Has anyone played killer? People have broadened the definition of tunneling to mean "attempting to hook someone twice within a minute". Survivors shouldn't be entitled to stupid plays. If you unhook somebody before I've left the hook, that's a bad play and there should be consequences. If you don't block for an injured person off the hook, that's a bad play. If the injured person runs away from everyone to a dead zone, that's a bad play. Yes, it sucks for the unhooked person, but survivor is a co-op mode and sometimes you get bad teammates in co-op games.
This is exactly my concern, why do the Killers have to be punished for a survivors bad save? Why has it become that getting someone of the hook in the killer's face isn't a threat anymore thanks to some perks, It's crazy.
-
It wouldn't be bad if the perk only activated while gens need to be done. End game is already a pain and now you have a 1 minute immunity of hook which is insanely long once the gates are powered and a 5 second stun second chance....
-
@Ihatelife said:
Here we go again. There is a counter for this: Stop tunnel.
And endgame, what do you do? Just let them get the hook escape once the gates are powered?
-
I expected this to be addressed but sadly no, I question why i still play this game sometimes.
-
Another way to destroy end game for Killers.... Yay how fun....
-
I wouldn't mind it while generators are still up but That 5 second stun is going to make endgame tough... especially with SWF or combines perks like deliverance, BT, adrenaline.

Too overpowered.
He’d pretty much be Freddy with no nursery rhyme and nearly instant grabs/hits.
True, that's why I said they remove the windstorm effect so that he still gets slowed down when uncloaking but doesn't get the speed burst to catch up like he does now. Maybe even reduce the movement speed boost when cloaked too?
I just feel like for a killer who's ability is invisibility he's pretty easy to see coming.
-
Yeah I heard these were getting reworked along with Billy's charge add ons and something about Legion and Nurse too.
If they really want to get rid of such OP add ons sure go ahead, hell even remove ebony moris but They have to look at survivors add ons too like insta heals, syringes and Keys.
-
I think the closest you can get to seeing staff play is from their personal Twitch Streams.
-
They upped the minimum amount of pallets per map, Maybe that's why? I know double pallets are back which should be a huge red flag.
I've also been seeing a lot more safe loops generating next to each other lately, but that could just be entirely coincidence due to RNG.
-
That'd take it a little too far and probably kill the game.
SWF is a necessity for online games but it Needs one of two things, an Indicator to show if players are in SWF or a better option, Bring Solo Survivor up to SWF Level of information sharing and buff killers accordingly.
To be honest tho, I don't see SWF ever being Balanced judging by the past actions from the Devs. I'd settle for an indicator so Killers know when to expect it.

@Bongbingbing Looks like you could just walk in from the side and get a grab though.
Maybe if you know they're there and the survivor didn't time it right but playing myself I've just walked by the side of a locker and gotten stunned, I think it might be more of a semi-circle than a cone, or could be the killer's hitbox I don't know.
-
That's actually a pretty big radius, good to know.
-
They guy was banned for a reason and then went on to try evade those bans, He's a toxic player who is bad for the game. He's probably only sorry because he's loosing Money from not being able to play the game that gave him his audience.

I think this is a terrible idea.
Every killer should stop using NOED and ruin to alter the stats and show them what real gen rushing means if you don't use certain perks. I am pretty sure kill rate will be plummeted to 20-30%
Both ruin and NOED are terrible RNG perks and killers should not be forced to use them. Secondary objectives can't come soon enough.
This is exactly what we should be doing. Take away these plaster fixes of perks and show the real problem. It's going to suck having gens go in 5 mins or less but at least it shows a message.
-
Honestly I'd suggest to just keep it on low, You see better and can even see the killer's red stain on the ground trough most walls.
-
She needs to just go back to how she was in the PTB, She wasn't even that strong PTB anyways to deserve the nerf she got.
Sure in the right hands she can do well, but the same can be said for any mid or even low tier killer. Majority of the time it's on the survivors mistakes to determine how well she does.
She shouldn't be slowed down while holding the vomit, Healing is already taken out of the trial thanks to fountains and as a result the Gens pop very quickly and with her 0 map pressure she just doesn't do well against that.
-
That's the main issue with this Game, There's such huge gaps in how people play and SWF can just completely throw any form of balance out the window.
I Think Mclean said on stream that Hillbilly's faster charge add ons are going to be getting looked at as well as legion and nurse so I'm pretty sure a nerf is coming at least to his Add ons.
-
Nope, I've never watched the Evil Dead, Only the 2013 movie and I hardly play Survivor.
-
I think the recent pallet changes with 2.6.0 made it possible for pallets to spawn this close again. A lot of people have noticed that double pallets are back but I haven't seen an official response to it yet.

Oh do you mean like the powers and addons that give killers instadowns the entire game? Also I believe devour hope gives you an insta down ability after 5 stacks? Or noed that’s free instadowns unless they get the totems? Or haunted ground thats 60 seconds of insta ability, or rancor where you can mori the last obsession at the end even if you haven’t seen, or hooked the person the entire game.
No what I mean is a Perk that has 0 counters, A Prerequisite that occurs naturally during the game and an incredible pay off.
Devour Hope, NOED and Haunted grounds are all Totem perks and are only strong because of how easily countered they can be.
Rancor gives your location away to the survivor and let's them know you have rancor from the first generator popping, Evidently It's easily avoidable by simply leaving.
Michael, Hillbilly and Cannibal's insta downs are all parts of their powers and have drawbacks. Hillbilly not so much as the others I'll give you that.
The only thing I can agree with is add ons, Iri Heads are something I wish would be taken from the game. But even then those are a one time use unlike this perk where you can use it every trial.
-
How is it 'EZ Mode' seeing the items survivors are bringing? At most a killer's going to know what types of items you have, That's it. If you think Franklin's or Lightborn makes a game easy, I don't know what to tell you...
-
I have to wonder what the reaction would be like if it was the other way around and the Killer got an Insta Down after 3 basic attacks... Who's bright idea was it to create this perk? 🤔
-
A lot more goes into a killer than survivor, If they made a killer too they may have just waited and released it as an ordinary chapter.
Survivors are just Different human models and 3 perks, with a Survivor you only have to worry about the impact of the perks since you know already that the survivor themselves will have no problem in the game due to the others being the exact same. Perks aside a survivor could be made and game ready in a couple of days.
With a killer it takes a lot more They've got more intricate designs, their powers alone would probably take a huge amount of time to make, balance and test on each map.
-
I'm surprised how they let it get this bad and how long it's been like this.
When you play survivor you can clearly hear your own footsteps but when you play killer they're non existent and you get blasted with unnecessary music.
As well I noticed that when you play survivor, if your injured and move your camera in front and behind the wall there's a drastic difference in the noises you make, I get that this is intentional but the difference in volume from standing on one side of a wall to the other side is huge.
It really sucks because this game used to have sound as a big aspect to it, now with all the changes It's not.
-
Any Weak Killer is going to seem strong when facing weaker survivors. Apart from the basement, these are all the result of survivor mistakes.
When a Leather face and survivors both know what they're doing and play at the same level, Usually the survivors will win.
-
You'd think so, I know it's for anything they interact with so maybe it only counts when they interact with it again by exiting?
-
It's the pipping system too, I don't know why they didn't revert that back too with the matchmaking. Everyone's finding it very difficult to pip up meaning less and less red ranks which makes Rank 1 Killer ques incredibly long.

It is absolutely a talent issue. They are using the, bar none, most popular game engine of all time to code on, and they can't even get basic things fixed and working. (Mt Ormond resort for example, the floating buildings, broken vaults, all have been around for years and they just can't figure them out.
It just stinks of someone who got into a project way outside their scope of experience, which blew up into something very big and now they are learning as they go which is never a good thing for the end user.
I suspected as much but I didn't want to be so blunt especially since I know very little when it comes to programming.
-
I'd hope so but I doubt it, DBD is kind of known to have long standing bugs.
If they really want the game to last the next 5 Years they need to get faster with fixing bugs and issues, They really should invest in more Staff or something because as of right now, the length of time it takes for things to get changed just isn't quick enough. We know they recently hired some people for marketing. Maybe it's down to the spaghetti code and how hard it is too work with but some more hands on deck would help.

That's how it use to be but killers kept screeching and crying about getting dodged. Funny how it's ok for killers to dodge based off what they see but not survivors.
Except for the fact that seeing Killers and Survivors have serious differences. A Survivor you only see at most the type of item they're holding that's the strongest kind of information you can get but If you see the killer you could use the most effective perks/items against their power.
You see a spirit or Doc, everyone equips Calm spirit to weaken their power, You see a Hag or a wraith everyone brings a flashlight, Nurse everyone brings dead hard.... I could go on and on.
-
@AntiJelly This was all the changes to pallets from 2.6.0
- Increased the minimum number of pallets to 8 (global).
- Distances between spawnable objects(generators, hooks, pallets etc) are now scaled based on a vertical factor(in addition to the baseline horizontal distance).
- Minimum distance between pallets was reduced for the Shelter Woods map.
-
Probably actually, It just shows how bad it really is.
They need to knuckle down on DCs that aren't legitimate otherwise this will just keep getting worse.
-
I Don't know, I've seen Killers walk by the side of a locker and still get hit.
Maybe the killer went to open the locker a split second before you exited?
-
It's been like that since They Upped the minimum amount of pallets on a map with the DLC Update, I don't know if they adjusted the distance between them too but It seems like it.
Double Pallets at jungle gyms are back which that alone should be a huge concern.
