I doubt it'd even get to that for the ones that are really upset about these changes - they just won't play killer at all.
-
Gatekeeper emblem is also now broken, so have fun de-pipping as a killer.
-
Nobody? Man I thought people would perk up at this.

Lets get rid of your DS and BT and Adrenaline and such. That would mean they cannot stack on your stack that stacks the odds in your favor.
Don't feed the troll. You'll see him again real soon when he posts "waaa can't get any matches as survivor!"

I have no thoughts on doc as I have never once played as him. I always like going against him because he is so easy to loop.
Hopefully he'll be a better chaser now, since that seems to be what the devs were going for. But who knows?
-
True, true.
Every killer asks "Where's the survivor", but none ask
"How's the survivor?"

It will be. Survivors complained about tunneling and slugging before. It's about to get real ugly.
I'll probably play doc a few times to test him out then take a good ol' break

Regressing generators sounds to me like surveillance is gonna see an increase in use :eyes:
Let's not forget we can,
Easily use Thrilling Tremors, to guarantee a regression rate equivalent of a RED RANKED survivor failing 2-3 skill checks if used effectively. (Can match with Iron Grasp).
Dying Light/ Nemesis is a thing. With Thanatophobia you have plenty of slow down as is.
Corrupt intervention has always been a decent enough alternative to Ruin anyway.
This kind of outrage doesn't surprise me. Yet it seems to have exceeded the outrage that came from the Balanced Landing, Decisive Strike, and Instantheal Medkit nerds.
Really peeps? Survivor Bias? What a long overdrawn misconception. Both sides get nerfed and buffed EQUALLY.
The Doc rework is amazing. I love it and I haven't even played it. The gatekeeper update is also MAJOR. A lot of killer mains determine success in a match if they pip. (Looking at you Tru3.)
If you think Ruin got buffed, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

I'd rather have shaggy as a survivor. Probably fits in to the game the most.

Haha, thanks. It would be a fun experience working on a game that I have really enjoyed playing, although I have not seen any internship postings for Behavior Interactive for the upcoming summer, and I'd have to brush up on my Unreal skills since I've mostly been using Unity for development. But who knows - maybe in the future :)

We don't respond with reflex reactions often at all. The upcoming Doctor update has been in the works for months. :)
Firstly, thank you for your response. :)
I get that. I'm just more concerned with the balancing aspect of killers after release. I tried to title the thread to grab attention, since it seems that the more bold titles get better publicity on the forums.
For instance, if the doctor turns out to be a super competitive killer (which is great!) people will inevitably complain playing as the survivor role since he's going to be played so often after the rework for a while. He's new, he's exciting, and of course people are going to want to talk about him.
Secondly, you all did a great job on the Freddy rework and I as well as others applaud those efforts, albeit there will be some that disagree and liked Freddy's old playstyle - which is unavoidable with a large player base. I also strongly like the fact that after release Freddy wasn't changed around that much which gives people time to get used to him - something I hope is also the case for the Doctor.
In regards to the reflex reactions, all I'm worried about is if people complain for you guys to change the Doctor to become weaker/stronger fresh after his rework release. Instead of waiting a while and having players get used to his new capabilities, it could be easy to overcompensate adjustments, nerf or buff. I'm sure you are all aware of this already, but I just wanted to reiterate that.
Just asking for a bit of time for the community to get used to him before adjusting one way or the other (unless something's obviously broken.) I understand you all are riding out the storm with the Nurse before making changes (albeit we can see with some consistency that her map traversal potential is the biggest qualm players have with her).
Thanks again for your response.
Cheers and happy holidays.

increasing gen times would make this game a snorefest
Precisely. I also believe that a lot of killers tunnel not to BM a survivor, but rather because if they give up on a chase that means that they'll have to find a new survivor, who could be potentially across the map (and if the killer isn't running information perks, which are also pretty limited).
-
Along with smaller maps, it means that you'll be able to at least physically see your totem before it is cleansed, which makes weaker hex perks like "The Third Seal" become less of a gamble.

Bloodhound is surprisingly much more effective than Predator at tracking I've found, it might be able to help you, Also I do agree from the videos I've been watching the scratch marks do seem much more inconsistent than usual
Not disputing you there. I ran Predator as a means to test scratch marks, not as an actual effective tracking build.

The real issue is that the survivors have a nice 3rd person camera that goes above the corn, while a killer's camera is submerged deep within the corn.
But it never fails to make me want to toss the game and stand in a corner when the inevitable Blendette with a flashlight suddenly appears out of the corn to pull a flashlight save every time. Altruistic flashlight survivors love corn because you have absolutely no advantages in it, as well as no walls to look at to prevent a potential flashlight save.
-
The issue is that there's so much clutter already (as you've said) on Yamaoka maps, and the additional darkness makes the clutter even harder to navigate. And unlike maps like Coal Tower (with the infamous 2-car L shaped trap that blends perfectly in with the rest of the environment), the clutter can be spammed by the RNG tile system which is annoying.
-
I like playing as Oni. Run Sloppy on him and you'll spend the mid to late game almost always in his ability, which is great.
-
nobody? :c
-
That mindgame was amazing! I hope to be that good a killer someday.
-
Considering that the devs have been completely radio silent with the Nurse, I doubt that they'll take any suggestions on her development.
-
Actually, Freddy + Plague. Freddy can put you to sleep so you can't hear the TR of another killer, so that'd be a pretty deadly combo. Plague can keep people injured and Freddy can mind-game for the easy 1 hit down.
-
Plague and Wraith.
-
Some might call me a masochist, but Nurse, Clown, and Myers.
-
Just toss a "Gg ez" or "baby killer rekt" in the post-game chat, and that's one less killer on the decreasing list of killer players.
Seriously, some twisted high ranked players get off on attacking newbies with this stuff.
-
As posted in my thread "Here's a real high-class bout!"

I am CONSTANTLY getting this since the Oni patch.
I'm so sick of facing new players at rank 1, it's very unfair and boring.
The devs just want you to "get gud"
-
@ASpazNamedSteve said:
That's actually a really weird one, don't see ones like this too often.
Using a killer who's good with emblems, not using instadown perks, everyone got lots of points, and you got 3 kills.
Did you slug a lot and did some people get only 1-2 hooked to die?
I first-hooked 3 survivors before EGC, then got a few more hooks in during EGC with 2 other survivors.

@humanbeing1704 said:
gatekeeper is the hardest emblem to actually get anything above silver
I find it's either an Iridescent Gatekeeper, or it's a bronze one. No in between at red ranks, at least.
-
If I'm not playing the nurse on asylum, any time a survivor runs towards the main building I just go find some other survivor to chase. I feel like there's 200 pallets on the first floor and 100 pallets on the second.
-
Usually, if a survivor shows that they're loop gods or have RNG on their side, I'll just abandon the chase and continue applying pressure on other generators depending on how many survivors are left. I usually build my perks around most killers to give me as much information as possible to minimize downtime and maximize generator pressure.
Sure, getting pallets out of the way is nice, but you have 3 other survivors that (if they're not rubbish) are working on generators while you're chasing a single person around the map like a merry-go-round. Best to pick off the weaker runners and not have to worry about gens popping behind your back left and right.
I think bloodlust is fine where it's at, but that's just my opinion.

Its not. It happens on PS4 as well.
You go for the grab, half way through the animation the survivor takes damage and then you are doing your attack animation and wipe while they are speeding off.
Also my fiance is currently doing a game as GF and trying to farm it and he literally can not grab people off the gens. He just hits them.
You have to spam mouse clicks to even guarantee a hit at that point if the grab animation fails, otherwise a survivor will just dip while you're wondering what the hell just happened. At least, that's what happens to me.
-
How do you use shock therapy versus static blast if both are now active abilities? Is static blast just going to be key-mapped to CTRL?
-
*Save the best for last would like to have a word with you*
-
"Lockerphobia" - Whenever you enter the killer's terror radius, you cower in fear and run to the nearest locker, abandoning your teammates. Breathing loudness while inside the locker is increased by 50/60/70%.
"This isn't like the games" - When repairing a generator, you have no idea what the hell you're doing. 90% increased chance of triggering a skill check, and generator regression percentage is increased by 5/10/15% when you fail a skill check.
"Human-like" - You are a normal human bean. When struck by a killer's basic attack, you have a 50% chance to be put into the "Dead" state due to massive organ damage. If you survive the deadly blow, then you are put into a bleed out timer which lasts 15/20/30 seconds, which you cannot mend and decreases regardless of any activity you are doing.
Yep, there ya' go.

You probably do not understand that (1)you cannot equalize SWF with optimal tryhard survivor gameplay, (2)that every killer is toptier in the right hands and that (3)nurse is still S-Tier after her changes.
I get that, but people try to base their claims that the killer instead of the player behind the killer is overpowered (albeit they're just salty and want an ez win every time, which then they'll tell you all about how ez you are in the post game chat).
No win
-
"Go off yourself"
Etc. And keep in mind that this was me trying to play "Nice" with the survivors (no hook camping, head nodding, etc). Hopefully those people never run across someone who's depressed or susceptible to that cyber-bullying.
-
It's also funny when they try to mock my P3 nurse with just brown addons even after the nerf. "She's too overpowered!"
-
His flick got limited to 90 degrees (45 degrees in each direction while dashing) and people still complain. Run unbreakable. Windows and any sharp corners are his bane.
-
The game stresses me out when it gives me maps like Rotten Cornfields or any of the Yamaoka maps that have -1000% brightness even with screen settings maxed out.
Try playing without ruin equipped - it's a fun time when survivors pop gens left and right.
That's what stresses me out, at least.
-
Yes, when his power is not active you are able to tap into his power meter to do a regular dash that can't instant down people, but also drains his power meter a little bit while you're dashing.
-
Nobody? :c
-
I think he's fun even after P3ing him. Running sloppy butcher and picking up people as soon as you down them leaves the map full of blood orbs and makes gaining your power easier. His dash (for me) seems fun to control and can catch survivors off guard with M&A.

Mind gaming potential, albeit I don't ever use these types of addons for nurse.

Ranks can mean squat when it comes to teammate ability. You can still get a red rank survivor that thinks it's a chill thing to SC in a corner and hide in lockers for that perfect head-on opportunity, or even just a red rank survivor that gets demolished in 10 seconds.

It can happen, especially with killers who struggle with emblems, meaning any killer with an instadown and Plague.
Yes, which is ridiculous to punish a killer based on their ability to end chases quickly/before they start. You literally get penalized from the start for playing a certain killer with this system!
