Yeah, she does have addons that like...port her Terror Radius but if that's not the case then.....
I can test it?

My heart....
Literally.
Stopped.

Okay...the DS change.
Twice as fast would make sense. And if you know me, I'm Pro-DS all the way.
The perk is fine as it is, but if it's changed, this is the change I'd support.
@Johnny_XMan Thoughts?

It's funny you mention that, I'm the one who argued with you so much about it at the time in that thread. Not ashamed to admit I was wrong having seen the changes...that being said if the sound notifications weren't there after an uncage, then I'd have an actual issue with it. It's always been an information thing for me though...the more information a killer has, the better decisions they can make. Losing the information was a very concerning prospect, and I genuinely think the sound notification "bug fix" (I still don't believe it was a bug) is what balances the changes.
Yeah...not to talk down on the community, I just know that certain killers will take full advantage of the fact that they don't have BT, DS We'll Make It to help them, nothing and it's a free tunnel, free second hook state and free death. It just wasn't fair, and I play as him a lot. If I cage a survivor, that's my choice, you know? Survivors would be further punished for my actions.
-
I'm an avid Pyramid Head player.
The Cage Mechanic needed to change.
I was the first to provide the feedback to the dev team on the first day of the PTB to this matter because I knew it was going to be an issue.
I'm still playing as him.
-
Zubat found a key and escaped.
He was hit with a 5 minute ban, then in front of our very eyes, at :01 seconds, the 5 minutes reset, so he had to wait another 5.
THEN, he escaped again, with Lisa Garland, and received another 5 minute ban. This was 2 days ago.
-
Give it a year, they'll probably hand them out for free again.

Been gone almost a year. Survivors/killer arguing still hasnt changed. Smh.
Wow, imagine a game where you have 4 survivors vs 1 killer and you expect everyone to get along?
Mind blown.

i feel like them saying "you are free to take advantage of this bug while it lasts" is more confirming it wasn't an exploit cause otherwise people would report others using caked for taking advantage of an unintended feature.
but i will admit, getting 100k bp every time i play killer does put a smile on my face.
Yup!
Same. =]
-
It feels so good getting that much.
This was a complete joke.
-
It relaxes me.
As survivor I have to keep on a constant lookout.
I'm a solo player, so killer fits me, and if I wanna AFK mid-match because I have to do something, I'll be fine.

That would be a must-have addon. It should just be inbuilt into his power imo, hitting with punishment is pretty hard unless the survivor straight up vaults a window or drops a pallet while you're holding M2 already.
I wouldn't use it.
I don't use his PoTD. I find it a waste and it's a high risk to little to no reward.
The 5 second stun just adds to the frustration.
-
It should be an addon.
Get rid of his "Hemorrhage" addons and replace it with "Apply Torment Upon Hit" one instead.
-
Make him look like the Clown.
And we'll have a deal.
-
I kind of agree with you.
Just comparing their Insta-downs. Yeah, Myers has limits, time management, he needs to stalk to get more, and you're screwed if a survivor is glowing Red because you can't get anything from him/her.
Bubba just has to get on someone's ass and rev that Chainsaw and done.
Both can be looped, but in a comparison scenario, Michael's biggest flaw is the time bar he has before going back to his T2.

its true to me, ive been playing him non stop since his release
tunneling and camping cages was very low risk-high reward when playing him. now his cages actually require thought rather than “im gonna cage this survivor and relentlessly tunnel them because i can”
Agreed, I made a whole video about it because it was an issue.
And I was Pyramid Head.
-
@Peanits said:
Definitely wouldn't go that far. If you only used it to camp the cage and then tunnel them knowing full well that Borrowed Time or Decisive Strike wouldn't activate, then sure, it's going to be less appealing now (as it should be). Under normal circumstances, however, it still has benefits. Putting them in a cage sends them as far away from you as it can, so if you know all the other survivors are close, you can force them to go across the map to save them. It also allows you to completely avoid flashlight or pallet saves, and saves you the time you would spend picking them up and bringing them to a hook.
Don't know who we have to thank for that, but please thank the Dev team.
I'm an Avid Pyramid Head user and I agree with the changes. Caging shouldn't be a free win, it should also put the killer in a "should I hook, or cage" situation. High risk, high reward.
Again, thank you.
-
@Respectfulnancymain said:
How about you cage a survivor and then go patrol gens instead of going back to the cage to tunnel him?
Bam! This 100%. Discussion over.
I'm not even going to contribute because you single-handedly pointed out what the issue was.
-
@YaiPa said:
it's not even about the cooldown, it's about how loops work. A killer doesn't gain much advantage in knowing where pallets are, because survivors control looping. The only thing killers can do with this perk is trying to block the way to some loops, but it's such a useless perk for killers.
Yeah like....
Hag and Trapper are the only 2 that can fully benefit from it.

You might be the first person who I've heard point this out.

Um....you wanna buff weaker perks to shake the Meta.
When Streetwise was buffed to 25%, I used it for a very long time.
They need to continue to buff weaker perks.

I literally deal with this every fuking day, mornings, afternoon and nights.
Goood job devs, very fun challenges and very hard for huntresses hvang in mind she oowns this kind of addons, at level 4 of the tome agreed.
Also lol imagne calling the killer to suicide the second u see she has iri heads, not even playing for extra 203% points lol.
You're running Iri Head with Infantry Belt.
YOU'RE the problem, not the survivors, not the devs. YOU.

Stand Still = Free Hit.
At pallets, at loops, at gens. Get okay headphones, and run Stridor.
I've now created a Monster.

I just did a full scream build, doc with IF/iron maiden/make your choice - that gets it done in one match anyway
lol I smacked them on hook.

DC bans are off.
Zubat got 3 bans back to back for just escaping. Hackers have found out how to hack and ban people.
-
@luka2211 said:
Then you'd need to make sure nobody can leave the lobby. Otherwise people would just dodge them all the time.
CTRL+ALT+DELETE!!!!!!
-
I think they did it because it was brought to their attention that hitting a survivor while hooked made them scream.
The "Make Survivors Scream 20 Times" Rift Challenge was achieved this way.
-
Make a thread and call it
"Cute things in DBD."
And then you'll get a response.

Really the only part I'm hating as Pyramid Head is that I can't leave the trail anywhere useful. Anywhere near gens, hooks, the hatch, someone scratching their balls and it just deletes itself. It's like it has to be out in the middle of nowhere where only an idiot will step on it, or nothing.
This, exactly. I don't understand the point of this.
I don't understand why it can't STAY until you keep using more of the Trail then the beginning starts to wear off.
-
You think so?
I wouldn't say let down but like....
He can be stronger, BHVR put so many limits to his power, can't apply Torment near hooks, generators, doors, like....what?
Hag can put her traps and all you have to do is crouch over them and they work the same way, but her's is lethal.
His perks have limits, power has limits, don't get me wrong
I enjoy playing as him, but he can be so much better.
-
Ignore it, it's Twitter. It's a septic pit.
On the forums, here, all platforms matter. Typically the "elitist" PC players are ignored.

Here, https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/117488, we explained why we changed Ruin. Here is the short version, quoted from that article. It's quoted, but the order of these reasons means nothing. They're just randomly ordered. So the claims that "we changed it because the noobs screamed about it" isn't really true. :)
--------------
We took a close look at the perk to identify what makes it so frustrating to play against. Three key issues were identified:
- Its punishment of new players or those who can't hit Great Skill Checks. Newer players trying to help veterans with generator repairs tend to make the situation worse rather than better.
- The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of The Killer.
- Its inconsistency due to the random nature of the appearance interval of skill checks.
Was it a bad idea though?
What happened afterwards? A massive exodus of killer mains, and from what I recall on the Steam forums, games were flying by, Red Ranked survivors were depipping even after escaping because matches were not lasting.
The response to this? Maps were reworked. So many resources wasted because Ruin was nerfed.
It all started with the Ruin nerf. It was a domino effect.
Again, my theory.
-
My theory is that:
Ruin was nerfed to stop killers from using it because devs didn't want to fix totem spawns. Even though they stated, they said themselves they were going to work hard on improving their spawns.
80% of killers used Ruin, now the number dropped, and the totem discussion no longer exists.
GG devs. You got us with Nurse, and you got us with Ruin.

For some survivors points isn’t the goal. Just escaping. Success at achieving that feels fun to some players.
I can understand that.
My goal is just to at least Pip once.
It's a ######### at red ranks.
-
Yes.
Lery's - Ugh.
Azerov's Resting Place - We're Dead.
Underground Complex - Ugh.
Haddonfield - My Favorite Map.
These are my nicknames.
-
It works but it's not stackable.
No one can stack it. We're probably going to see a fix the last day of the event.
Considering how much they hate giving us Double Blood Point events, my best guess is that this was their plan the entire time.
-
Because you're Legion.
Welcome to 2018/2019 survivors who hate going against Legion.
There is no DC penalty.
-
Given the amount of bloodpoints they received, I believe you.
5k is automatically given when they escape. So they earned 10k points during the match.
I wouldn't understand how that's fun.

Mate you're talking like survivors don't go out of their way to use their DS, that they don't often use the same characters and also dress the same, and that it's easy to remember who you've hooked when there's been a few hooks in quick succession - and yes you're doing well at that point obviously but a 5 second stun for doing well is still miserable.
I'm all for making it an actual anti-tunnelling perk. Make the skillcheck harder and the stun shorter the longer it goes on. A 59 second DS can be a tiny skillcheck with a 2 second stun. Picking up a survivor within 10 seconds of them being unhooked is a massive skillcheck and like a 10 second stun or something equally long + brutal.

1, 2, 3, 4.
Can you at least keep track that way?
1 was unhooked, 3 was the unhooker, go for 3.
1 wants your attention, focus on 3. Hook 3, go for 1, slug.
2 and 4 will eventually come to rescue them. Keep a lookout.
I already stated how to counter this. And yes, survivors do go out of their way to bait the DS but either slug them and continue to chase the survivor you've already been in a chase with or ignore them until you've hooked the survivor.
Survivors, like myself, hate being slugged, but I know it's efficient. I also don't mind being slugged because that's the price I pay for bringing DS.
Killers at Red Ranks work around DS and they end up just destroying my teams (some times). Other times we get paired up with fresh Purple Ranks and well...it doesn't end well.
A killer who's pumped many hours into the game already knows the workarounds of DS.
You can tell on the forums who are the newbies from the oldies.

Then don’t allow survivors to be the same person per game. Like I’m suppose to keep track of which of the 4 damn claudettes I just hooked is. Nothing makes me more mad then picking up a survivor only to be DS when I thought I was chasing the injured unhooker.
1, 2, 3, 4.

Letting a survivor run free for 60 seconds is a great way for me to lose a gen. Play the other side. Especially if they act like an idiot to make me slug them, and then just have Unbreakable anyways.
Obviously you didn't read what I said.
That survivor would be out of place out of mind because you'd be going for someone else. Why is your concern THIS ONE SURVIVOR when there are 3 more in the trial?
Get my point? THIS ONE survivor isn't the only one in the trial. GO FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
See my point? YOUR concern is this ONE SURVIVOR, when my point is there are 3 more.
Stop giving me "but the survivor."
No, no, no.....your problem is that when this survivor is unhooked your vision tunnels to this one, only survivor making you think he/she is the only survivor in the trial, when in fact there are 3 more.
Am I wrong? Are there not 4 survivors in 1 trial?
