  • I understand what you're saying, but making people scared is a bit of a moving target. There's a lot of factors that go into it. Some have already mentioned a few like what creeps people out, becoming desensitized, etc.

Adding onto that, there are people who can walk straight through a house of horrors without twitching once. Then there's people who jump at shadows. It's impossible to find a medium between the two, since at that point it comes down to the basic psychology of a person. Personally, the worst it gets for me is going against trapper or hag because of the ridiculously loud noises their traps make that scares me. I hate sudden loud noises and jumpscares, but maybe not the Claudette with the purple flashlight that loops.

Tension, we can all agree, is always prominent in DBD. It does a fantastic job at giving us a wake up call, and it's probably the closest we'll get to having everyone thinking "Oh crap, better do these generators". I don't mind the current atmosphere of the game, I really like it actually. Creating a fearful experience, though? Pretty hard to do.

  • Looks like they've done a pretty good job so far on it (Dead meme) but honestly it's just not the type of game that looks like it can hold my interest. I'm glad they're branching out and testing new games, but the whole "Maze-runner" and super fast-paced Overwatch gameplay doesn't do it for me. Cool looking game, otherwise.

This reminds me of that Austin Jones scandal a few years back.

Also given the chat logs, their naivety and number of them i do believe that there were underage girls among those Pedochido asked.

His youtube channel is the online equivalent of one of those "free candy" vans.

Oh wow! Been awhile since I heard someone mention that name. I wonder if Ochido sent someone a video of him twerking too, LOL.

In a recent video I saw of him on Ardetha's channel, he pointed out that he had a P3 Clown at account level 6, so... Yeah, afraid he didn't earn that through honest grinding and is still breaking rules. What a creep, though. All he does is play DBD and use his terrible audience to attack people. Because of this, people are scared of him and don't want to say anything.

I feel really bad for the girls that had to deal with that. The constant ######### joke he milks the crap out of is starting to get worrisome, to be honest. I think he just needs to step away from Dead by Daylight and get some communication skills. Not sure if anyone told him, but screaming I'M GOING TO ######### YOU and saying "Dud" after every single sentence is a bit taboo. I don't think someone this vulgar should be allowed to play on any system, whether it's PC, PS4, Xbox, etc.

First things first: Welcome back, didn't see you in a while, how are you doing?

And now back to the topic, you can't tell me that he wasn't atleast somewhat aware about the girls being most likely underage cause its not exactly a secret to anyone that his fanbase consists of impressionable kids.

He should have atleast raised an eyebrow and been questioning them. If he actually knew they were underage, which is likely as some of them send pics of themselves before he asked for the nudes, then he actually needs prison time and not just better communications skills.

I'm great! Good to see you. Just been incredibly busy. You along with some others have pointed out something new for me. If these girls were underage, he could be in serious trouble!

It's less common to find child predators in the streets and more common to see them as flashy icons and well-known people nowadays. A person of a younger age would see them as just that, and people like him are well aware. Most children aren't going to know any better than to follow his every command, and that's super unfortunate. For his sake and everyone's sake, he better be praying none of those 75 (Or possibly more) Girls were underage!

  • I just read the title of this thread and I'm already terrified to look at the replies LOL.

  • No need to apologize :) Learning any new language takes a lot of effort and time. Your English is very good!

I understand what you mean. It makes me pretty upset to see people get so bitter over something they should expect from... Well... A killer! I can only imagine how it feels for a killer as a survivor main. Where's the fun in being treated as less than a person every single game? I've played killer for dailies, and I've had games that were so bad that all I could do was just wait in the basement until they all just left. Sometimes they refused to even after the exit gates were open, and continued to hold the game hostage.

Both killers and survivors can be the scum of the Earth, but when one side is trying to play fair and the other one goes out of their way to be a jerk it just doesn't make sense. Where's the logic behind that? I doubt these questions will ever have a good answer. At the end of the day, I wish we all had more respect for each other.

  • Nice guide! May I also suggest detective's hunch? Also, the new dark sense is great for when you're trying to squeeze in as many special generators as possible. :)

I can't seem to get behind the whole "Just ignore it and it'll be fine" statement that I've been seeing a lot of. Exploits, no matter what they are, should never be excused when they're used as a tactical advantage. People are saying the same thing about the flashlight macro that causes everyone to disconnect, and I just don't get it. I'm sure eventually both will be fixed, but exploits that can be used to benefit someone tremendously really ruin the fun.

this color is smooth and pleasing to my eyes

    Thank you, kind sir!

Edit: I still haven't really figured out the whole "Quote" thing so sorry if it looks all glitchy

  • Happy birthday! Hope you had a great time!

I heard of and saw gameplay of Dead by Daylight aeons ago. It was a blast to watch youtubers play it, but I never really wanted to try it myself. I would watch gameplay every now and then as the updates rolled out, and finally decided to give it a test drive last year during the free weekend. Once I finally started playing, I fell in love! Been playing ever since.

  • I think thats one thing no one wants to get famous for.

And yeah, wether its custom fireworks thrown on stage, masked students stealing the mics, locking the stages with chains/zipties.

Hell, my brother and 2 of his mates actually put up a firebarrel in front of the buildings and pretended to be hobos to freak the guests and staff/teachers out.

    @ChesterTheMolester

LOL! Who needs acting when you can improv being hobos?

I ate PROFANITY on stage in front of a full auditorium of people back when I was a theater junkie. I was in a musical, and we were doing the opening song for the show. One part of the choreography was that we had to twist in a circle and jump in the air. Since the whole cast was on stage for this song, the stage got a little crowded and I was close to a set piece that had a slide on it. It was used for a different song where the singer had to slide down it for an entrance, and I wasn't aware of how close I was to it. I spun around, and my foot got caught under it mid-spin. After that, I toppled over and hit the ground face first. It really did not feel good at all! Being in the company of a sold out theater during that whole ordeal REALLY didn't help either.

Oh #########, you sure it wasn't recorded?

That reminds me of my time in school where it was common for theaters and events to be crashed.

Oh, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest lol. I'm sure it was Samantha or Tommy's first time ever in a musical and their parents wanted to be proactive and record it for memories. Instead, they got a clip of me wiping out! Luckily, no one erupted into laughter or was a jerk about it so it wasn't that big of a deal. The director gave me the basic "It happens all the time" and "Just keep moving the show along".

The way the productions worked was that we had one showing that the school would see (Thank god it didn't happen during that one) and three others during the weekend. It was the second to last I think? I dodged a huge bullet. Also, shows were crashed often at your school? I don't think I've ever seen anyone purposefully sabotage/ruin a show we did other then the rare random person booing for no reason. Sounds scary!

  • Someone who feels the need to do that literally eats, sleeps, and breathes Dead by Daylight. People get so devoted to this game that their escapes/kills become the biggest accomplishment of their day to day life. It's honestly sad. It's never fun to come across people who are sourpusses in DBD, or any game but the internet is a giant mix up of the worlds population. We're unfortunatley going to have to deal with the buttocks of it every now and then.
You happened to get put in a match against one of these misfits, and he moaned and whined when he didn't get his way. I'm sorry you had to deal with the fallout of his tantrum, but I can assure you most people who do stuff like this aren't anything to be concerned about. Just a bunch of crybabies. A block is the best course of action, unless you feel genuinely threatened. I was told by a killer to slit my wrists all because I found the hatch before him. I never did anything to warrant this response, but I just reported him and moved on with my day. Now, if he kept trying to come for me and threaten me? THAT'S a different story. I'd also definitely peace out during the end game chat phase. Nothing but vitriol. That or just ggs/silence. You're really not missing out on much.

    Just use Calm spirit 3.

Very useful tool against the doctor now! I'm super happy about that. At the time this post was made before the mid-chapter patch so that wasn't always an option.

  • "It’s infuriating when you try to be the solution and people brand you as the problem."

This. Beautifully said. I have so much respect for killer mains who continue to play with how toxic survivors can be, and the amount of disrespectful things they have to hear. Video games should be a place to have fun, and the fact that you enter a game and have to accept that you're going to be downright disrespected one way or another is just sad.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, not all of us want to make the killer's existence painful. I wish more people knew we existed. I don't run decisive. I rarely ever bring flashlights. I don't teabag every time I drop a pallet. My entire team yesterday was insidious camped by a hillbilly and his words in the end game chat were "Better than being looped all game with DS and BT" Not a single person that game had Decisive, or even Borrowed Time for that matter. Not one teabag was dropped that game. My guess is that he was looped by Squadettes with those perks last game and decided to fight back by insidious camping the wrong people.

I did not mean for this response to be so lengthy, so I'll begin to wind it down. I don't like being generalized, but it's on such a big scale that it's bound to happen. Killers are underpowered, and I really want something done with it as much as any killer main does. Civilized survivors still exist. After 600+ hours of playtime and reaching the high ranks, I've seen entitled survivor and killer brats. Lets not let anger distract us from the real issues.

  • It's a given when they don't want their ruin/devour hope/etc. gone within 10 seconds (Have you seen the totem spawn? Yikes!) Or when survivors are flocking around it fairly early ingame and they want to get the benefit of it before it's too late. However, standing infront of it the entire game? I... Really can't say. I've had games where a killer will stand infront of it for 5 generators straight and everyone gets out scotch free. I won't understand it for the life of me!

  • Never could get into trapper to be honest. I feel like I would enjoy him more but placing traps feels like it eats so much time.

  • I don't really hate any of the survivors' noises, but I'm sorta "Eh" about Feng's. A bit squeaky and sounds like a verse of Morse code when she gets hooked lol. Unpopular opinion but I actually liked Kate's voice actor in the PTB, her screams were just godawful.

  • It's saved me from a basement hook before, since the killer wasn't sure if the basement was in the killer shack and didn't want to waste time. Other than that I unfortunatley do not run it often. Maps like Springfield, Haddonfield, and The Game are not half bad to pair with Boil Over, since the clutter can work in your favor and catch the killer on a box/bush/etc. It's a good idea but it just feels like it's missing something? I don't know.

  • Up The Ante has saved me more than once when I surely thought it was game over, and it never hurts when searching chests. Open-Handed I use whenever I get that one pesky bloodweb where I get Plunderer's Instinct 1 only, or whenever I just appreciate an extended Bond. Both are nice to have depending on the context, but I use Up The Ante much more.

  • Favorite Music?
    - When it comes to music, I love anything where you can feel the emotions the singer is going through. I don't really have a preferred genre, but I do love Sevdaliza, Skylar Grey, Marina and The Diamonds, and Billie Ellish.

    Favorite Games?
    - Dead by Daylight of course ;) alongside that, I love Stardew Valley, Dark Souls III, What Remains of Edith Finch, Skyrim, Fallout, and anything with character creation.

    What's with your name?
    - Beverly is actually my real name! It seems a bit strange to choose that of all things, but it just felt right when I first started using it. It's stuck ever since.

    Favorite foods?
    - I will eat anything with pasta. I don't know if it's a curse or what, but if it has pasta in it I am instantly a fan. Pasta salad, macaroni & cheese, Fettuccine, you name it!

    This post is quite pointless
    - Nah, I think it's cool to get to know people! I also like that you gave us sorta a format to use, helps tremendously.

    DBD Mains?
    - Survivors: Laurie Strode, Kate Denson, and Meg.
    Killers: Doctor and Hag

    Fav Colours?
    - Pink, white, and silver.

    Education?
    - About to go to my first year of college in less than a month. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm scared of being responsible!

    Fav Films?
    - Jumanji, Up, and Coraline.

    What do you hate?
    - Deadlines, Narcissists, and computer updates lol.

Do you have ANYTHING ELSE TO WASTE OUR TIME WITH?
    - A cough is a crunchy breath. Just saying.

  • I have no clue why this is, but the Neas with the short hair are possibly the nicest people I've ever met lol. Jakes in the default outfit and any of the new characters (Quentin, Tapp, & Kate) are barely played at all by toxic players from what I've seen. Legacy Claudettes have always disconnected in my games, no matter what. It pains me to say this as a Laurie main, but the Lauries that wear her 2nd outfit always end up using decisive as soon as they get grabbed and get downed 5 seconds after!

  • Okay, but the doctor in his suit tho.

    - Hiding in corners/confined spaces will not, and I repeat, will NOT always work! It may serve you well every now and then, but that tom-foolery won't always make the cut against an observant killer.
    - Do not enter the basement when the killer is close by and it's in the Killer Shack. The grass surrounding the shack will move whenever someone is moving in the basement.

Two tips I wish I knew from the get-go. :)

The grass moves? Oh wow. Nice! Never knew that. Thank you. Time to up my finding Survivors game a bit more.

    The entity must feed!

  • It's an inside joke between my friends and I that whenever someone brings party streamers, the lobby becomes cursed lol. Oddly enough, it's for different reasons. Whenever someone brings them I always have teammates dip out on me during the loading screen, or get caught and disconnect instantly. It can be pretty discouraging.

  • I really wish I knew why, because I love this game. I've been playing for almost a year now coming up in September, and I've had to deal with my fair share of internet tough guys as much as anyone else here. Bugs and balance of course have been an issue, but the venomous community is even worse in my opinion. I think it's sad that people must set their profiles to private so their comments aren't littered with -reps, death-threats, and lowlifes that tell them how they "played incorrectly".

Sure, some of us have thick skin, but I really don't think anyone deserves to be talked to like they're less than a human being. I hope people get punished more for toxic behavior in the near future, because being disrespectful is never cool.

  • The legacy teammates. I apologize to anyone who is sensible that uses legacy skins, but every single one I've been teamed with act like the scum of the Earth. They love to troll, exploit, disconnect, and say really disrespectful things in the end game chat.

  • I had one game against the clown where a Jake sabotaged a hook as soon as he carried me over to it. He then dropped me, followed me as I crawled away, and took me to a hook close by to where I crawled. After that, he camped and hit me over and over again. I totally understand his frustration, I would've been mad too! However, I feel that his anger clouded his better judgement, considering I was not the one running around dropping hooks. He apologized in the end game chat, and was actually a pretty cool guy but a normal game took a huge turn as soon as Jake decided to sabotage. Sure, it can be useful from time to time, but it's often not worth it because of the reaction it creates.

  • Would love to see grandma/hospital gown Laurie!

  • While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads!

  • Everyone here pretty much hit the nail on the head. People get so used to winning that they start to become delusional about it. They'll hook rush and delve straight into the eye of the storm thinking they're indestructible, and become baffled when they eventually get caught. They really should've known better than going for a save against a leatherface that was securing a kill at the end of the game. That is a HUGE no-no! Sorry you had to go through that sodium overload, lol. At least things took a turn in your favor!

  • I loathed it when I first started playing, since I wasn't exactly a pro at juking/hiding. My gameplay was cut short whenever it happened because if I was being camped/tunneled, I had zero chance at getting a second shot. Now, I'm not bothered by it since it buys time for my teammates. Also, what is ultimately going to determine if a survivor makes it out is generator progress. Progress isn't hindered completely if one person is tunneled/camped. That leaves 3 people to do generators (If they aren't chasing the killer around and trying to flex their borrowed time and purple flashlights by unhooking as soon as the killer leaves.) Now, if it's the end game and the killer needs to secure a kill? That is common sense, and I'm not angry about that. To sum it up, annoying but understandable.

  • Thanks for your responses, guys. I made sure to report my sore teammates and trolls that I encountered. It won't do much I can imagine, but it's something. I believe that a sour community is one of the bigger problems based on what I have seen and what others have to say. With all due respect, I really hope they crack down more on toxic/nasty behavior.

  • Lithe will always be a staple of my perk builds. Climb a window and peace out!

  • The contrast sorta throws me off lol. Like, okay, you have cheese, tomato sauce, crust, and then y-PINEAPPLE. Also I'm really picky when it comes to textures so pineapple alone is hard for me to eat!

  • I genuinely love everyone's outfits, but the original characters have some of the best in my opinion! Meg's runner outfit makes me feel like I'm going for an early morning jog when running from killers!

  • @ThePloopz said:
Baiter in this case means “ I’m mad I got killed and you didn’t and even though there was absolutely nothing you could’ve done to help me it’s still your fault.” At least that’s what it says on SaltDictionary.com

We're in the dark same as you, that term doesn’t fit at all. No clue what it meant.

Yeeeah, thought it was a bit strange. Maybe she was just upset about getting caught and decided to take it out on a teammate by using a random term that could somehow apply?

  • @Master said:
Probably you were called out for finishing the gen and giving away the position/ activating NOED

Hmm, that makes a little more sense but I don't see why she was mad at me for it. We were both on it, and the killer hooked the 3rd person for the last time right next to us so we were in a huge hustle to finish. One of those "Now or never" moments. If she was that bent on NOED then she would've been doing totems or never been on that gen with me in the first place. Oh whale!

  • Tunneling 100%, and on the occasion anything involving bad manners.

  • Camping has never really been a big deal to me. I play survivor 95% of the time, possibly more. If I'm being camped, I just keep the killer busy by waiting it out. If a teammate is getting camped, I'm all over the generators like warm butter. Do I like camping? Nah. Can it get frustrating? Sure. Do I understand the reasoning behind it? Absolutely. It's a strategy that works well for some people, and it's not surprising that people camp with a killer like the wraith. It's bully-city when he's in a chase, and like others have already mentioned he's completely invisible standing still. As long as you're not going out of your way to be nasty, your play-style doesn't matter to me.

  • "Go play Monopoly, it's more your pace"
