I really enjoy Clown. He's all about strategy, and believe it or not, I love using my brain in DBD.
Billy is also a killer I really enjoy. Like Clown, he requires strategy and mindgames, but you have to be more precise than Clown (although Clown still has a really high skill cap). Flicks tend to be difficult to pull off, especially without those engravings (still glad the engravings got buffed!).
I love clown. clown's fun.
Clown was actually the first DLC I bought, and I have no regrets.

Which Killer do you absolutely stand no chance against for no apparent reason? for me its Nemesis, as soon as I know I am up against him I know I am getting yeeted straight out of the game with a max of 12,000bp.
I don't know why but Nemesis always seems to target me, not even in a camping/tunnelling way, I'm just always the first out of the game and I can't understand why as I don't think he is considered one of the better killers.
Anyone else have any Killer induced PTSD from some of the lower ranked characters?
Now this isn't a "xxxxx is OP" or "xxxxx needs to be nerfed" or anything like that, it is more towards the lower tiered characters that you struggle against that everyone else seems to have no problems with
Everyone always underestimates Clown and Twins, for some reason.
I know this because I've played both a lot.
I don't make those mistakes.
For whatever reason, I always forget how to play against trapper.

Furtive Chase. What is the point of a smaller terror radius "during" a chase? They already know your after them.
If it was the opposite it would be pretty fun to use.
I think it's for improving your hit and run tactics.

what?
Undying is great at countering boons now.
seriously, try it the next time you see Mikealas. you'll get a ton of free hits. I'm not joking.

The thing Bill does in DBD are not possible in L4D, because
A ) Unbreakable - In L4D you can never get up by yourself once downed.
B ) Borrowed Time - No, because L4D is measured by a max 100 HP system, not by shots like DBD.
C ) Left Behind - No, he does not gain any benefits once he's alone in L4D.
As for the lore I think it reflects Bill pretty well.
Unbreakable - Bill is the oldest veteran (literally) survivor in the original L4D group. He's badass, mentally strong and yeah, unbreakable. He's not someone that lightens up the mood but sorta like that adult who reminds you of reality and encourages you when things go south.
Borrowed Time and Left Behind - Not sure if this is supposed to be a spoiler, but since the game's been out there for like a decade... In one of the campaigns "The Sacrifice", the last chapter has a special gimmick. The four survivors must work together to start up generators to lower a bridge. After the bridge is lowered, however, the bridge needs to be raised again so the zombies can't reach them. This is where one survivor has to make a sacrifice, go back to the closest generator and restart the generator. Obviously that survivor dies, but the rest of the group is safe.
In the comics, it was confirmed that Bill is the one that sacrificed himself for the group. So canonically Bill was "left behind" to "borrow time" for the other three.
I second this.
I've only played lfd2, but I've read the lore.
you could say original left behind (I've only read about it) is similar to the adrenaline injections, but that's a bit of a stretch...

I can't passively, because I get bored. But I will 100% spite camp if the Survivor used Dead Hard, a flashlight, or teabagged.
right, but, facecamp until they're dead? that's my point.
I get that some people get tilted, and I'll understand that, but I don't understand why anyone would facecamp for no reason.
I do think patrolling is fine, my issues are with facecamping and BMing, since it's boring.
like, the last time I hardcore camped was in the ptb because I wanted to see the mori, but I was against a hardcore swf. (I only had one mori and I was pretty desperate to see the mori in person) I had someone slugged and the game was over, so I was waiting for people to leave. I apologized in the end. The people I slugged got out anyways, but one player realized what I was trying to do and helped.

Entité est un nom féminin mais ca ne veut pas dire que L'entité utilise les pronoms she/her. Ca veut dire que "entité" est d'accord avec l'article défini "la" et l'article indéfini "une". C'est une règle de grammaire français.
(Entity is a feminine noun but that doesn't mean The Entity uses she/her pronouns. It means that the noun itself, "entity", agrees with the definite article "la" and the indefinite article "une". It's a rule of French grammar.)
right, translation + interpretation. I forgot to mention interpretation.
sidenote: Nea has a cosmetic "for the nonconformist" so that's another piece of evidence I like.

The gameplay gets old when you never win, aka getting rewarded for your game knowledge and skill. If we didn't have such a significant attachment to DBD's gameplay style, ambience, and characters, we would have all left a long time ago, because this is realistically an unpolished trash heap of a game (considering its popularity and crossovers).
and that's why we love it! :P

I'm not stating that because a character's creator is queer, automatically means they are. What I did state though is that it's heavily hinted/implied in the movies/comics that Pinhead/Chatterer's past life before becoming Cenobites; they were gay. Scream obviously wasn't, or at the very least no evidence was given to support whether or not they were bi/gay.
right. sorry, I misunderstood you.
yes, ceno is canonically queer.

I cant wait to get report because i camp and tunnel a lgbt survivor for descrimination when i just like to be an ass to the survivor when im killer
I mean, I don't think anyone would say anything to call you discriminatory unless you said something first. like, if a bubba camped someone to death, that survivor's main salt would likely be about camping. if that bubba then said something horrid in the endgame chat about that player's digital avatar, that would be cause for calling out.
I'd say the only people who'd be jerks about that would likely be feigning anger.

What's the difference? We're taking work that became huge horror icons, specifically created from the LGBT community, and displaying it proudly. If people really want to have their sexuality represented in a murderer, idk how to respond that. It used to be a big deal (negatively), and still is, when the only gay representation in movies/games is when they're evil in some shape or form.
I think it's important that we celebrate the accolades of the people, and not their fictional characters.
just because a character's creator is queer, doesn't mean they are, that's all.
Edit: anyways, everyone knows the villains are the main stars anyways.

Technically, Pinhead/Chatterer are gay. Or at the very least, were created by a gay Director. Ghostface (Scream) was also created by a gay Director. And if we ever get Chucky or Candyman, that's even more representaiton from Horror Icons created by the LGBT.
I think lgbt representation in those cases is for the actual people, and not the characters.

As the title suggests, playing underperforming killers feels so much more fun for me. I'd take Legion, Twins, and Demo any day than Spirit or Blight.
At this point, playing the game the way you want should be your priority. Sure, survivors will occasionally boast themselves at gates whenever I play Demo or Legion, but at least I had fun playing them. I used to care about my performance in matches at red rank but over time, I noticed that this game is not worth stressing over thus, shifting my attention toward other playstyles.
I'm NOT saying you're not allowed to like the overperforming killers. Like whoever you want, but if you're not enjoying the top tiers because you feel forced to do so... babe, play whoever you want. With the current balance of the game, underwhelming killers will suffer, but if they make you feel happy, who's stopping you from playing them? Yeah, other players may [BAD WORD] on you, but their ignorance shouldn't change your mindset <3
Honesty, just have fun! You like Blight w/ Tinkerer? Go for it! You like meme builds w/ Legion? Go For it! I understand that people may not like the feeling of defeat, but until BHVR can improve the current balance of the game, don't stress over things out of your control!
I second this.
twins are fun. demo is fun. legion is fun.
fun is good.
I approve of fun.
I like when video games are fun.
I also like using polysyllabic words sometimes, but not in this post.

The core of the gameplay issues for killers is the first chase takes too long. The areas of the map at the start is too safe at the beginning of the game. By the time the resources of each map are expended, too many generators are completed and there is no payoff in the later part of the match for removing the pallets.
I think that's mostly a gen speed thing.

Beat me by 5 minutes.
I honestly don't care either way. I just want cool, creative and powerful killers. I'd love another stealth killer, in particular.
Honestly though, how do people know that there *aren't* any LGBT killers?
Or...a better question: how would people know that a killer *was* LGBT?
Honestly, I wish they'd just make a character who uses they/them pronouns (without that being their entire character).
I think it's fine that character sexualities are mostly left vague.

I'm all for representation in the game. We should definitely have someone from the lgbtq community but we shouldn't just make one for the sake of diversity only and they should be really careful to not make them being trans or non binary their whole personality.

I second this.

I would like to see some LGBTQ representation in the survivor pool. So far everyone is CIS.
Nea is canonically gendernonconforming, but that's never outright stated. The Entity is in a similar situation of using she/her pronouns, basically due to French/English translation issues.
but, yeah, some characters who are cannonically (stated in lore) queer would be nice.

Plaything. Oh man I run this on so many killers. Information is very strong in DbD. Taking that away from survs can have a great effect to cause chaos, have them make mistakes, and cause slowdown by making them do something else.
Brutal combo when paired with Third Seal, since then they can't see the auras of their totem. These two perks will give the survs the real horror movie experience.
Fearmonger is another go to perk for me on killers that have a hard time giving chase with the W strat.
Jolt is another favorite of mine. Let's me keep moving and chasing without having to stop all the time and kick gens.
In general I tend to avoid meta perks simply because I get bored running the same things all the time. I want to try new perks and new combos.
I love plaything with devour.

In this PTB Pinheads addons we’re nerfed pretty harshly. I get it was to change the hoarder play style but these changes really hurt him but the problem was they didn’t give him any buffs to compensate. Here’s my changes to cenobite and some of his addons
- Increase Lament configuration solve time from 6 seconds to 8 seconds(personally I would add the yellow glyph skillchecks to the box so it’s more fun and challenging).
- fix the chain spawn logic so if you chain someone the chains will spawn away from you so you don’t break your own chains.
- increase the time it takes to break away from a chain based on distance.(example if you chain someone from 24 meters away it takes 8 seconds to break each chain, if you chain someone from 12 meters away it takes 4 seconds to break each chain).
- make it so if a chain spawns in a wall and breaks another will instantly spawn with no delay. If survivors use the environment to break the chain it doesn’t break instantly but will act like Slingers chains and break faster.
- reduce chain hunt start time from 90 to 85 seconds
- while chain hunt is not active survivors will not see the lament configuration beyond 24 meters. When a chain hunt is activated the lament configuration is revealed to all survivors.
These are the base kit changes I would make to him basically since his addons were nerfed I made some of them base kit so he doesn’t need to run certain addons anymore and I buffed his chain projectile so it’s more strong and fun in chase. Here are the addon changes
Addon Changes
Burning candle:
- Decrease the time for chain hunt to activate by 2.5 seconds.
Tourture pillar:
- Decrease the time for chain hunt to activate by 5 seconds
Liquified Gore:
- Increase the time it takes survivors to solve the lament configuration by 1 second
Larry’s Remains
- Increase the time it takes survivors to solve the lament configuration by 2 seconds
Chatterers tooth:
- Reveal the lament Configuration.
- picking up the lament configuration deactivates chain hunts.
- gain the undetectable status effect until a survivor picks up the lament configuration or if you injure or put a survivor into the dying state with a basic attack.
Iridescent Lament configuration:
- Survivors carrying the lament configuration are inflicted with Exposed
These are all the changes I would make to pinhead I based this off the PTB since his addons were nerfed. I wanted to make him stronger in chase but not to overpowered. My goal was to reduce his addon realiability and make him stronger and more rewarding to play as while not being to strong for the survivor side.
good stuff.
although, the nonstop chain hunts from the iri box are fun...

Please watch this final scene of 1984 The Terminator, and tell me this isn't a slasher horror film in sci-fi disguise. The entire film is this killer robot murdering people trying to reach his Obsession, Sarah Conor. His very first kill, he rips someone's heart out with his bare hands.

Well i been playing for almost 2 years and IMO no killers need to be nerfed (the directional audio for spirit i agree). Most of the issues are perks related to specific killers. Killers should be strong not be a plaything for survivors.
Pig, Freddy, Legion, Wraith and Trapper are just a joke imo. They need buffed in specific areas. Freddy is in a horrible spot right now any good he can do is tied to a dream world that a baby can get out of. His add-ons look like they were designed by my ass hair and STILL rely on the dream world. There should be a debuff of some kind when in the dream world. He only needed his ropes/chains swapped not his entire kit.
The post was not about needed nerfs, but calls to nerfing that are ridiculous.
