It's not though. It's always been labeled as an action movie. Since it came out. But whatever. I'm sure you'll argue about that until you're blue in the face.
well, alien was pegged as action too. (shrug)

I mean if you actively have to create scenarios that are fun enough for you to enjoy the game. Then either the game has ######### up or you need to move on to something else.
that's not really what I meant, it's just a suggestion for people who are getting stressed.

Ok I was like I'm all for having fun but it goes both ways. Survivors are always telling the killer they want to have fun but then never make sure the killer is having fun to
yeah, no, that was a big typo on my part.
I believe people should play in a way that's fun for them, so long as it doesn't compromise the fun of others.

Why does the killer have to go easy they want to have fun to and that normally doesn't mean a 4 minute game and 2 hooks?
nshouldn't, sorry, major typo.

Wraith's stealthy addons, in addition to his playstyle, are completely jettisoned when he's stuck with a terror radius in cloak. At least he's a fast boi.
Also, yeah, Nurse has so many meme addons it's not remotely funny.
Pig only gets one RBT and it's applied at the start of the game, but basically all of her addons are focused on Jigsaw boxes, so... she's almost addonless.
Mikey's stuck in tier one and only one of his addons actually helps him with that. At least he isn't Burger King Myers in this setup anymore.
Billy's a 110 with a chainsaw that doesn't even instadown, the poor kid.
Hag's also kind of screwed when she has so many insanely good addons but they're all negated by Scarred Hand. She's basically just playing with Scarred Hand and Waterlogged Shoe (and Disfigured Ear for no real reason), so she's a sort of weird bodyblocking Clown that screams into your headphones.
but she doesn't scream, she mimes.(the ear)

I'm not.
My playstyle is now - sweat hard early, relax later if I'm in control of the game and the survivors haven't been jerks.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2635039#Comment_2635039
Honestly, this.
I'm also very tired of people telling killers that they need to go easy and 'have fun' without telling survivors the same thing.
I'm not of the opinion that the killer should "go easy" just that it's a game, and games are more fun when people are trying to have fun. it's kind of redundant, but... yeah. if fun is competitive, that's fun. if not, it's not. DBD just needs a casual mode, or for mmr to be addressed as being a divider for comp/casual mode.
Edit: typo. big typo. I mean shouldn't. not should. my bad.

It's an absolute minority of players that get a lot of fun out of being beaten. Telling people they shouldn't find actually killing people and winning fun when playing killer is backwards at best. Maybe you enjoy playing the punching bag but most of us don't.
I don't, I just treat it more like D&D rather than a sport. you can't win D&D.
that's just me though. I don't mean any offence, and I totally respect if you don't agree.

It used to be 85% but that didn’t give the killer enough time to get to the gen.
I don’t think it necessarily needs a nerf, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it having a 30 second cooldown on activating on the same gen (mainly only targeting it’s ruin synergy here).
As for the original question, it was def wraith before the nerf - people complain about him because they don’t know how to play against him.
Now that wraith got nerfed it’s probably bubba.
the cooldown sounds fair.

Doctor. He's a noob stomper and you get plenty of less experienced players that think he's the most unfair thing ever, when he's a solidly middle of the road M1 killer without much going for him beyond detection and a very finicky antiloop. It's telling that players who try to hide hate him and the ones that understand you can do plenty of things in a killer's face and being chased isn't a bad thing don't care about him.
And Wraith as of a few months ago, but he did get hit with the nerf gun. Good night, my sweet prince.
Interested in hearing about Legion and Plague in the OP - I virtually never hear anyone suggest balance changes with Plague either way, before or after her massive QOL buffs, and most comments I hear on Legion ask for a total rework. Unless we're talking about original Legion, but that was deserved because they actually were broken.
I think someone said to me in a post game "bruh, it's toxic you won't let me heal!", or something to that effect. that's what prompted legion.
same kinda thing for plague, but about boons instead.

Often matches are shorter and you go out of a match faster.
Why survivors dont get much bloodpoints in general?
A killer gets more BP in every action. Also the categories are easier to do as a killer.
I mean, its frustrating after i got camped or tunneled out of a match and only get 3k BP.
But even when a killer has a bad match, he's still around 15 - 20k bloodpoints.
The categories are terrible aswell, especially if some guys die fast.
Team actions are often earned hard, cause you cant do much. Doing a gen together, healing or taking a hit. There aren't that much more.
The only category you get fast, is target. Generators and exit gates.
I mean, one of the categories for bloodpoints is survival. And mostly you get it trough skillchecks. Cause, camped or tunneled and its out.
Boldness depends on the killer. With boon totems it got a lot easier.
A killer gets 3 categories in one chase. For example, brutality hitting or destroying things. Using his power he gets Devioutness and Hunter for going after a survivor.
Event after the end, he gets the 4th categorie, sacrifice.
I think survivor bloodpoints or the bloodpoints in general should get tweaks.
Maybe also raise the cap from 8k to 10k? We have litterly over 100 perks, more bloodpoints in general wouldnt hurt anyone.
Especially new player or players that didnt play the whole time have a hard time.
maybe just have it so there's no bp cap for either side?

As a Blight main, with a good few hundred hours dipped into him, close to 1K, people who complain about Alchemist Ring don't seem to understand its only strong if you allow it to be.
There is a simple way to counter Alchemist Ring, and its knowing how to play against Blight with more emphasis on playing around his rushes. You need good positioning to counter alchemist ring, that is it. Alchemist will only be overwhelmingly strong if you are on a map with few tiles, but on maps like Coal Tower, or Red Forest, or over half the maps in the game, there will be a few tiles in the map that can be played around and if you know how to play against Blight, you can use these tiles to play against the Ring, while this may sound condescending, its really a simple matter of don't get hit by the rush, and sometimes you will, and it sucks, but that's just a matter of positioning, don't let yourself be out positioned.
People calling for a nerf, and some calling for it to be outright removed from the game don't seem to grasp the basic counter to this addon. It's not too strong since it has a counter you can do with enough practice. Just because something is good, doesn't make it op.
I'm not sure. imagine if spirit or nurse had similar addons?

I don't think he should be able to directly hook BUT I can think of something that would work. You can have Victor maul survivors on the ground which would mori survivors on its own timer. The way to get him off would be to just kick him off. It's a system that would allow the twins to really be two places at once. I can see camping be an issue but if you're too close then it slows down the timer. Little tweaks like that to make it work without securing kills for free.
It's risk reward too. You lose Victor for a short amount of time but also you can take a survivor out of the game potentially. It lets them spread pressure instead of just having to slug the whole team or having survivors get up before you can reach them.
maybe victor could have his own tiny little hooks that the survivors only stay on to be polite?
or, more seriously, Maybe victor could send survivors to some sort of cage of atonement style thing. (maybe a sacrificial slab or a flaming box as a reference to how he died?)

Yea what needs to change is the ruin and tinkerer playstyle. It basically means that he's always going to push you off of gens the entire game and run away when another tinkerer pops. Really boring gameplay. I think an easy fix for it would be to only have tinkerer trigger once per gen. This hurts tinkerer obviously, but at the moment its only used for this playstyle and not really anything else.
what if it granted stealth for longer, but only at 90/85/80% gen progress?

I feel it's an issue with Twins in general, that you down someone but then still have to plod across half the map to pick them up, in which time they move, can be healed, can use the stupid new boon to pick themselves up easily, etc, etc.
It's fun to play as Victor but the many, many cooldowns and downtimes ruin the experience of Twins as a whole.
Maybe don't let Victor pick people up, but I feel like while you're in control of Victor, Charlotte should move like a Nemesis zombie at slow movement speed in Victor's direction. It would greatly reduce their ability to camp, while greatly reducing their need to slug by always having her closer than you left her when you return.
They're just way too easily punished. No other killer has a semi-skillshot that, when missed, puts them half the map away and guarantees your safety as survivors.
I agree, but I don't know about being out of control of Charlotte while controlling Victor. I enjoy that agency, personally.
Maybe being able to summon Charlotte around Victor after getting a down? That would have the risk of being busted, but it'd be fun.
also, is it just me, or is it weird that victor's m1 while in ready to pounce and charlotte's M2 while victor is deployed are both unused binds?
Maybe charlotte's m2 could be used to recall Victor?
Maybe victor's m1 could be used contextually to hide in lockers/chests/gens for ambushes?

It seems like every patch the devs keep nerfing certain killer play styles thus taking away everything that’s “fun” about playing killer
- Hit and run play style? Dead because of CoH
- snowball/ slugging? Dead with a combination of Unbreakable, fast heals with CoH and the new Boon: Exponential” AKA “Boon: unlimited Unbreakable”
- looping/ mind games/ 200IQ plays? dead with the already prevalent holding forward and the nail in the coffin ‘Overcome’, which is essentially “hold forward: the perk”
to play a killer effectively now you pretty much have to tunnel and camp every single game, which gets old fast
sure you can just “forget about kills” and go for fun meme builds to have fun, but sooner or later you’re going to get sick of the 4 man escapes every game followed by teabagging at the exit gates and messages saying “EZ baby killer”
playing killers should make you feel powerful, not powerless against good teams. Survivors should be running scared doing everything in their power to try and maybe, hopefully escape, but right now it’s the other way around, with the killer sweating it out trying desperately to secure at least one kill before the final generator pops, which is getting harder and harder every patch unless you do resort to camping and tunnelling
no.

Just a simple question and I'm curious about how people feel. Do you get more frustrated by your teammates or by what the killer does/acts?
I myself get more frustrated with teammates. As a solo survivor, its the natural reaction. I am usually the one who focuses gens, but can read situations pretty well and go for saves if the situation calls for it. But lately, its either people getting impatient and killing themselves on first hook, or they go down in 15-20 seconds of the match starting and demand a save or else they throw, or we actually do pretty well until mid-late game where 2 teammates snowball the match for the killer. I just question these people's IQ, especially when I see 3 teammates just walking/running around/putting a damn boon totem up after I ran the killer for 2 minutes + and no gen pops.
Note to other solo survivors; do not run Kindred or Bond. Seeing how your teammates play will annoy you more than aid you.
Slight rant. Genuine question.
survivors who farm me on the hook or generally leave me to die for no reason.
like, the ones who while healthy, unhooked, and with no noed, wouldn't even try to save me from first hook.

This is great advice to learn to lose gracefully but its common knowledge that the reason you need to learn how to get thick skin and prevent depression is due to toxicity in game and in chat.
The way I see it, Facecamping is as optimal as doing gens very fast. The killer is just doing their objective very fast.
I mean, my focus wasn't as much on thick skin as it was fun, but, yeah. mine's a temporary solution.

If they did survivor or killer passives I think they should make it be something like you have to equip all 3 teachables, and only those perks, for the passive to activate. Doing that people would need to chose meta load out or 3 teachables with passive, can't have both. This would also make it easier to balance the passive when it can only work with the 3 teachable perks.

What I wrote in the original post are also just examples, I'm sure there are so many more examples of odd things players complain about the other side does. It's understandable enough that people want to complain after match, but telling how the other should play because they felt they had a bad game because of it, just isn't right.

Tbf, it seems to me more like the meta will just take a make up job.
The new killer is shipping with 3 slowdown perks and op is literally suggesting a full stacked slowdown build. Feels like the same usual meta to me, only in different flavors.
It's slightly changed on survivor with CoH that shifted the no-heal meta a little bit. And that came with massive backlash that demands to go back on that. However, the remaining perk slots are still taken by the usual suspects.
Overcome will be gone and forgotten in a week from release. Not to mention it stll fits in the same general meta, only a different taste.
Just my 2 cents.
I'm excited for a changing meta. I think it'll really improve DBD's longevity, and that's good for people who've spent a lot on the game.
