The killswitch is there for something that's absolutely game breaking and can crash the game or be severely exploited where the game cannot end for example. Neither of those apply here, survivors can be slugged etc.
Whilst I appreciate RPD can be frustrating right now, it is something that has been brought up to the team.
It doesnt seem really fair, yes they are not perfectly equal with the weight of the problem but it is indeed a massive disturbance and CAN be easily exploited, it is just a huge time waste with very little pay off if you commit to it.
I mean for real, how many ppl would complain if RPD would be kill switched for a few weeks? Idk why the devs are so cautious with it like its a new born child in their hands.

You forgot Legion, they will most likey nerf them and make that the FF heals survivors!

So you still think its their fault, if you dont know how to proerply play this event? You never even asked yourself, why you can see som in the distance but some not? Youre really not the smartest at all, right?
ok?

Honestly I find it funny take this game that seriously.
Btw i don't think you know how the envelope works lol
If the owner grabs their own envelope, it's revealed to everyone and another survivor can get it. This means that the owner gets more points overall. So if you waited for claudette to grab hers first then you still would've got been able to get it after. There's no way you would've known it was hers though until she got it.
Either way I wish I could've seen her when this happened 😂 I just love moments like this where someone, by accident, has great comedic timing.
Ye exactly, since i didnt know it was her own I didnt wanted to get to the risk ,but again it doesnt mean to cuck everyone in the lobby.

yep its the similar thing where survivors dc if they get downed really quick in the game. Just sad that ppl like that dont get like a extra dc penalty since they dcd right at the start.

Well tbh boil over itsself is already really annoying, not saying you have to slug someone till they bleed out but I do get where he is coming from, imagine you get 10 games in a row with survivors like that, I bet even you would be just done.
-
Make it easier for the Killer to maintain map pressure so survivors cannot just slam gens in 6 min and the gates are powered. If the Killer has more time in his game the he has no reason to tunnel and camp that much simple as that.
-
I would also be interested to see that, I like Fnaf, never have been a huge fan but I like the idea and style of these games and I think it would fit into dbd.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Sadly not a bug and intended but i hope they change that
agree that should be changed, also I wish there would be more oblivious or undetactable perks for Killers, they are not that good sure but its really fun playing with them around, for example I really love dark devotion, the idea of this perk is really fun but its just like dead mans switch very inconsistent, they either have to remove the obsession condition or increase the duration to 60 sec.
Same with pyramid head perks, I like the ideas but the conditions of the perks are all abit weird, not trail of torment though, that perk is actually pretty good and insanely underrated.
-
@anarchy753 said:
It's because oblivious survivors aren't considered to be within your terror radius, and that's what applies killer instinct. It's a bit weird seeing as there's add ons to extend the killer instinct range that don't extend your terror radius, but that's just how spaghetti code goes I guess.
oh thats kinda sad, I like hysteria. I use it frequently on Plague and its pretty good on her, I could imagine it can be a stable on Legion if that wouldnt cuck the killer instinct.

nurse with double recharge is the most fun killer on both sides cuz its only killer that has true skill expression on both sides, and has the most interactive chase in the game, nemesis & pinhead are 2 of the most boring killers to verse because of passive or rng power that has no skill expression.
Their normal power consists of
Nemesis - zoning & m2 baiting with situations where you animation lock and get hit, or you don't and just get m1, or if you're not playing for a fun chase it's literally just pre dropping when nemesis is 10m away and hope others rush gens so he can't get tier 2
Pinhead - Hit chain in right place get hit, don't hit chain or in a bad spot drop pallet & hold W (boring) and run them for 3 gens
Summary:
Nurse = only killer with true skill expression both sides, and is fun & interactive
Pinhead & nemesis = Boring passive powers & powers that just encourage extremely boring chase playstyle, pre dropping & holding W
You forgot blight ;(

People need to grow up because they have a different opinion than you. Yeah... Um... You really don't see the issue with that argument, do you?
I digress, I more or less agree. If the solution is not 2 hooking everyone before going for kills, people go ballistic. There is nothing wrong with camping, tunneling, or slugging. But they are scared to be criticized at the end or something. So strange.
Not saying its okey but its not like survivors are invincible because of that, you can still do something against that.

And i think you are exaggerating if you think that m1 killers are completly helpless. It's not impossible to score a m1 hit if you pick your chases carefully.
But i'm not going down this rabbithole again. I'll agree to disagree
not saying its impossible, it depends on the survivors there. If you get sweaty tryhards then yes its basicly impossible and just really unfun, if you get casuals then legion is fine and I understand your point of view there, however I for my part get for some reason a lot more tryhards since MMR came out so thats why I have this point of view currently.
-
@SunsetSherbet said:
You answered your own question "What the problem is now?" when you said "It's boring." That's the issue. And no, I don't think it's boring for the survivors because they intentionally went in to do it. They enjoy it. People don't generally go out of their way to bore themselves.
The answer is simply that it's unfun and boring to go against. It turns the match into a total slog that takes forever, can be abused very easily, and it still has almost no practical application EXCEPT to troll people. That seems like a really bad game design, to me. And this game has nerfed plenty of things before due to them being unfun and boring to face. Also a lot of people work jobs, so their time isn't worthless to them.
You get it wrong, I am not trying to defend this perk and say that it should not be nerfed. I am totally with you there, however I have seen ppl saying it makes a swf unkillable which isnt true at all, thats what I was trying to explain here. And yes it is unfun however, the squad messaged me and insulted me, they sayed Im a skill less ######### oni, I took this as they didnt really had fun beeing on the ground for almost 5min.

Knowing what direction is coming from for a save allows you to cut them off forcing someone else to stop working on a gen to go get them. If you didn't have that information you would have just been patrolling gens allowing them to get the save for free.
Information is legions power. A lot of people just misplay him by becoming a m1 killer once everybody is injured and never pressing m2 again.
Watch redgaminggears 30 days of Legion video. He explains really well how information can win matches
You are abit exaggerating. Either you play against survivor who cannot loop a m1 killer or dont have basic understandings of the game or you are simply trying to ignore the fact that survivors can still make a save like that if they want. There are perks like borrow, ds, dead hard and now circle of healing, if you commit for that chase then yes another survovor has to go off a gen and save, and? You act like this would stop the entire game and stall it for min. Its a thing of 30sec to run from a other side of the map and heal up, meanwhile you just managed to injure the person with your frenzy and run behind them with your knife trying and praying for blood lust.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
I've started playing with Legions increase killer instinct range and i'm starting to think they are among the best addons for legion.
You quickly learn what you can and can't make in frenzy and the amount of information you get is crazy
what do you get out of the information as a m1 killer without a power? Half of the time you see the survivors anyway running around, its not really hard to find survivors.

Why is the body not the same topic as the title?
But yes I've noticed weird hitbox issues with Bubba. After hitting a survivor I cannot break pallets.
you have to read more than the first 3 words, the first paragraph was to kinda explain why I dont go out and test it myself on other killers.

If it require one of few OP killers, general balance is surely tilted to survivors.

I mean that means... game is survivor sided?
IF the survivors play in a very efficiant way and teamplay with meta perks and items then yes.
It also depends on the map, map spawns, killer, addons and perks you use.
Do you play a blight with alchemists ring and iri blight tag and full anti gen? Then the game may be balanced
Do you play a nemi chan? No you will most likely have a big fat loss with just 1 kill, if you are lucky and they messed up then maybe 2.
Its hard to say in the end if the game is survivor sided or not, there are a lot of factors but in terms of higher level play yes the game is survivor sided. But ppl use this term so easily on the smallest issues to justify why they lost which is just cringe to see.
I host my own tournaments and i keep seeing ppl trying to find excuses to their losses and often blame (mostly even) the maps which wherent most of the time the reason WHY they lost.
-
The thing is ppl massively underestimate (or forget) that solo q survivors can also do REALLY well. Sometimes at the night I meet leggit 4 solo q players but all of them are ofc on their own very good players with thousands of hours.
They did everything really well, split up on the gens, saved fairly quick and where doing really good in chases, using loops and tiles very skilled and smart, didnt used up too many pallets, played save and didnt made major mistakes and made it out all 4 or 3 sometimes without much issues. I often ask them and check the friendlist of them and they are mostly indeed all solo q at late nights.
As long as survivors play save and dont do much or big mistakes or throw the game hard then even solo q can beat up your ass its not just swf.

I am on console, and yes, she feels very different than the videos. And all my friends were confused about how clunky the power was when they first tried her too. I am not sure how it is on PC, but it takes completely different inputs to actually launch them. Weirdly counterintuitive. I thought maybe she was going to be a decent m1. But everything annoys me. Like the daily challenge clogging up my rituals. Nasty.
Hm thats weird, on pc she feels very good and smooth to play as, thats one of the reasons why I enjoy killers, they have to feel smooth.
Maybe its a console issue which hopefully will be fixed at some time.

The one group of add-ons I really wish they'd revamp are the ones which put the killer at a handicap in exchange for making certain scoring events higher. I really dislike using Bloodpoints as a balancing mechanism, I think it's much better to have the benefit be something that actually impacts the match itself rather than be currency to spend between matches.
For example, Trapper's Padded Jaws makes the traps not injure survivors and the benefit is the traps score double points. They should replace that score increase with some decent in-game effect, like maybe the Padded Jaws traps reset themselves over time or Trapper can carry more of them or even something unique like he can get traps out of lockers and the oldest trap disappears from the map. Basically any strong benefit that makes up for the Padded Jaws handicap.
Ye true, we can hope that these addons may get reworked after they "fixed" the grinding.

Love her too, I am close to play her as my second main and switch her with Nemi-chan.

You can play her on the ptb for free? Or watch videos, I doubt you feel that different about something that you saw in a video and then play and think like ( oh wait this is actually really boring).

Hey, I actually like Renrijo's Bloody Glove. It's not as hard to get Blood Orbs as you make it out to be and it's super fun. Personally I think it's Oni's other iri that's derpy (though it's less so with this current patch, it's still not a very helpful effect unless you lose people a lot.)
I could not agree more with Nurse's overdose of meme addons needing to be corrected, though. Also, Hellshire Iron is so... bizarre. Like I guess it's possible to do weird hit and runs... if teams clump together... with a 110... when I could honestly just bring Tinkerer and get more use out of that.
Legion has so many useless and outdated addons - I maintain hope that the fabled Legion overhaul will put at least the purples to bed. But Fuming Mixtape is weird. They ported over one of Wraith's iris, but Wraith's activates his power outside of chase for the most part. It's his map traversal hunting state, so seeing what gens are being worked on is really good for him. Legion doesn't traverse the map using their power, they use it in chase or to harass several people at once, so the information is much less useful and probably not even what they're paying attention to when they have the power active. If they try to use it like Wraith and turn on their power to see that someone is working on that gen across the map, by the time they reach the gen, their power is out and on cooldown when they most need it.
In lower or casual games the bloody glove can be okey but if you play against rather decent survivors you will just nerf yourself as a whole but ye I also hope for the best with Legion.

Its not supposed to be aura reading power a comparison with the artist is a bit more accurate in my opinion
I dont see how this would be comparable at all? Maybe you should word it then more accurate but to me its just seems like a tracking ability with invisibility.
-
I agree with that, giving the perk a stack of 2 so you can just fully repair a gen and craft 2 later. Would be a great quality of life change.
-
Idk the power seems very boring and simple, no offense but its basicly just aura reading which isnt really that exciting. You have the same effect by playing wraith with all seeing addon.

That sounds more like MMR issues from bhvr side tbh but i understand what youre saying. But there is a lot of crutch perks in the game. Some can hardly be countered. (Sorry whataboutism) Which is why im trying to figure out what this particular crutch perk is hated a lot more. As for poorly designed? Ehh... Im going to hard disagree there. As much as noed is a crutch, i dont think its poorly design. Biggest reason, is its a hex perk. You can cleanse it out the game before it even can begin. Not to mention: it maybe only nets you one extra kill sometimes. Second reason: Murphy's law. Anything that can go bad will go bad. It's like a killers insurance policy. Like if a survivor brings ds incase they get tunneled, or a book incase they get camped. Doesnt mean that it will happen. But it can. So you prepare for it. Some, not all, bring noed just incase its a poorly designed map and they can at least walk away with 1 or 2 kills against a good team. (Least before sbmm. Now, because bhvr is ugh when designing this sbmm, youre more correct with it screws it up. They needed to do a better job) Sorry for paragraph.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2759650#Comment_2759650
Actual good argument. And i have no response to this. Youre right. It does do something for nothing. And it does allow more tunneling and camping which is boring. My only count argument would be to blame mmr...But umm... Thats almost as lazy as noed.
Dont worry xD I wouldnt even nerf noed so hard as other ppl suggest, I would give it simply stacks you can earn by first hooking each survivor just like no way out does, so you have that many insta downs as many stacks you have, this would be a much healthier way of this perk, ofc it will still be a totem aswell.
-
Its a nerf of 0,5 sec, dont need to exaggurate. Its not like Twins is going to be unplayeble.
Also I am currently playing a lot of twins without the addon to test it out and I dont struggle at all, I dont even feel a big difference tbh.
-
Noed has the same problem as old DS or Mettle of Men, it gives you something without even doing something for it. Its a lazy perk which requires no thought or effort at all. Also it encourages boing gameplay where the killer doesnt even try to protect the gens and relys on noed to get his kills by just camping or tunneling.

There is a way. You can pounce in such a way that Victor lands exactly on the window and stops, allowing you to move off the sill and down onto the roof. However, this can be risky: The windowsill is considered the "death zone" for Victor, and he will die if you don't move off it fast enough. But don't move too fast, because if you do, the Survivor will have time to run up and kick you once you fall down.
Hell, for all I know, they could've brought back the thing where you can kick Victor on the windowsill. Did they ever even patch that bug or is it still there?
I see thanks for the answer! Not sure what do you mean with that bug though, never heared of it.

You need to pounce on the side of the window and you need to be high enough that you drop right in the middle of the window at that point count to 3 and drop because if you stay there viktor dissapear and if you drop to fast your are getting kick. You should be on the other side after but be careful you only have 1 chance to pounce the survivor.
If you cant understand sorry english is not my first language so i will say what i mean in french. Ta juste besoin de jump sur le cadrage de la fenêtre le mien cest de si prend en diagonal
No thats accurate enough thanks for that, it still seems way to busted for a window imo though.

I'm unclear what drops Kazan down. With CoH you are getting 40% of your power every hit AND with CoH all the blood is getting grouped into one area. So now you are losing vastly less blood orbs from them simply timing out, because you never find them in whatever random spot the survivor decided to heal. If everyone is full health, that just means you get more demon strike value. I would say, at worst, you need to manage your blood orbs and power a little more intuitively, but other than that hes really not that much worse off.
exactly
-
Go to the news section, PTB patchnotes simple as that
-
My opinion could be altered since I am dire hearth Oni main but
I dont feel a big difference, good survivors could always heal very fast, CoH isnt a big difference their. Maps are actually a bigger factor than the perk, if you get a pallet heavy map like Blood lodge for example then you will suffer most likely.
If you know how to manage your blood then you are fine as Oni but well since 99% of the oni players are just ppl doing their dailys this ancient technique has been forgotten.

Seems like every time you grab someone from a locker these days they accuse you of hacking or stream sniping.
Its often pretty obvious when people have jumped in a locker even without killer instinct tracking.
Last one I had was as Myers, someone doing the gen on saloon balcony. I heard the locker door as I went up the stairs, so I kicked the gen and then grabbed the survivor.
Reported for stream sniping along with a bunch of other accusations. Its getting tiresome.
Ye especially since there are more hackers around I do understand that claim however some ppl do find the craziest excuses like when I was running around the map as Oni with blood fury and I saw barely visible scratch marks about to fade away at a rock at the edge of map, so I went there and downed her. She asked me how I saw her, when I told her I saw scratch marks she said "No I didnt run ,stop pretending".
It is really getting tiresome.
