Nah you asked for it by opening another threads that just adda no content to the forums. it just make you look like some kid that has nothing else to do than recreating the same threads day by day.
Guess what? I dont care? Its the official forum of Dbd, I pointing out a problem which STILL is in the game, the more threads about it the more urgent or atleast more attention this problem will get. If you are new to forums then get used to it or leave, no one forces you to click on this thread, like for real, what did you expect you will find here? xD

Ashen apple- green addon
Adds 1 pool of devotion
1 pool of devotion is already corrupted
blessed apple- yellow addon
1 pool of devotion is already corrupted
More pools of devotion = higher chance of pool in a bad spot for you, pool is in a bad spot? survivors will use it
Why do i feel like yellow addon is better in this case?
Its not because 1 common strategy for smart survivors is so simply insta cleanse till all pools are full, since with the older green apple you had the same amount of pools it was easier for you to do that. Because of 1 more pool this tactic is getting countered.
Sure you never know IF survivors do that but alteast you cover that possibility up with that green addon which costs just 1k extra bps instead of the yellow one.

Playing survivor doesn’t really save you from hackers. It’s a problem for both sides
well atleast I get to escape and get more points which is what I am aiming for, I just want to farm BP.

Requiring skill does not justify its strength, especially when it has literally no downside
90% of all addons dont have a downside? This concept got long ago already deleted when the hag had this style of addons, getting a effect plus a downside to it. Go check out the addons of all Killers, you will see there are barely any with downsides anymore.

Sorry I misunderstood your complaint then. I can't comment one way or another on people leaving others to die on hook, seems like a bad strategy on their part though. Yeah, push the gen a little first, but someone should still attempt a rescue before a stage advances if possible to spread the damage out more and keep everybody active as long as possible until the doors are open.
Np I know I write sometimes confusing.

@Minecraft said:
it's clear that you can't play killer if anything

@dugman said:
If you are constantly getting challenged by players trying to win the game then that’s a good thing, you shouldn’t be getting 4 kills consistently without feeling like it’s hard to do. You just have to realize that the game is built around some people escaping and some dying being the most common result and not get upset when it happens. The gens not all being finished is supposed to be an exception, not the rule. (And I’m saying this as a killer main.)
I never claimed anything like that so no clue where you are getting that from, I even wrote that there is nothing wrong if ppl want to play like that. Also I dont care at all about the kills here, my point is that the survivors dont even go for rescues, they are just pushing gens and as soon as they finish the last gen "which usually doesnt take long" they are just leaving the person behind so therefore the match ends in like 5-8min with everyone having less then 15k point on average. Sure this doesnt happen evey single game literally but I do get these games rather frequeantly, around every 3th-4th game which is just a huge time waste imo.
I dont care about kills, I even let ppl escape sometimes, I just want to have decent long matches where everyone gets their turn on the hook "For my bbq stacks" and also them getting more unhook points since everyone gets to unhook.

Nah, I'd rather not player killer. Too much work for too little payout. I only dabble in it when my solo teammates turn my brains to mush or when the rift has a cosmetic I want and I did all the survivors challenges and need some killer ones to reach my goal.
Fair enough

@Huge_Bush said:
I tried one game as killer last night. They all brought in toolboxes with add-ons and sent me to RPD. Normally, my game crashes on the loading screen when I see the RPD offering, but I was tabbed out and my computer wasn't able to take a hint. I ended up hiding the whole match and not playing after.
Oof, tbf you can punish survivors hard on RPD, just as it is hard for you to patrol the gens, its also hard for survivors reach other survivors to unhook, you can keep proxy camping the main hallways towards it (if you know the map well) and therefore let them die on hook like that. Its kinda mean aswell and many tempt to get really salty when I do that xD

@Clevite said:
Well, you can't play with your inexperienced partner either, unless you want to see them unmercisly tunneled from every game.
Where is the common ground? Will there ever be any?
Idk, but it seems you either sweat or lose.
Bring your strongest ######### or your best 4 man swf or you have little fun.
That is sadly true but doesnt justify why it even exists in the first place. Thats why I mean the gap is too big, not everyone wants to bring only op #########.
-
Going for 4 bbq stacks, against a sweaty squad that is basicly impossible since they all use all tiles almost perfectly which waste enough time to let the others finish all gens before you can even get 2 different survivors.
-
@Ryan489x said:
Both sides are sweaty as hell sometimes.
If I'm playing killer and I know I'm up against a squad who wants to gen rush and just hide. I'll stand by a door and as soon as the last gen pops I'll open it.
It's how I save my sanity when I get games like that. "You want to rush the game then do it. the games over and you don't get as many points either."
I am pretty chill, I am not really that mad about them winning, I just want to play my games and not waste my time with 15k BP games and 2 BBQ stacks.
-
yup having the same problem here, its getting tiresome.
-
@Crowman said:
The problem is sometimes survivors just d/c when they didn't get down and just triggering a killer's on hook perk over it seems a little much. And creating a system that judges whether or not you would have gotten a hook is not something I really think the devs should spend time on over other things.
The only thing is that d/cs don't often count as kills for challenges and that really needs to be changed.
Thats a fair point, however atleast you should get the bloodpoints that you wouldve get for the full kill and also the bbq stack only for the BP.

Just out of curiosity, 10 min queue, as killer?
At which time of the day do you play and with crossplay on or off?
Sounds like morning to midday and crossplay off. Am i correct?
Crossplay on and I play in the night-late nights sometimes till morning. And no its not 10 min only for the que time, the loading screen and waiting till everyone rdys up are also incalulated, it all takes around 10min together for me atleast.

I think that lunge nerf happened before I discovered the game. Didn’t they make her post phase speed gradually go down when before it went back to 4.4 instantly?
Ye, she was basicly like wraith, you got a little boost out of the phase walk and then it went down, you could use that to get an extra lunge range which was really fun and made her more of a agressive killer like blight or nurse. But now since you have basicly no post phase boost you are a boring ass m1 killer.
-
Well she is not fun anymore for you if you know how she was before the nerfs. I was an old spirit main and stopped at the patch where they nerfed her lunge after phasewalk (was simiular like wraith's).

The problem is people aren't having fun because of SBMM so the new content doesn't keep people playing for long. The numbers will only continue to decline until the core issues with the game are addressed.
Ye thats true, there is a reason why so many ppl keep quitting xD
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
The thing is that we do need more content. In order for them to introduce new powers/mechanics content has to be made.
In terms of the Artist, from my understanding she can be boring to play as (because survivors just hold W) and she is boring to play against (because you are forced to hold W). So I suspect that's why you don't see many of them.
They need to come up with killers with unique powers WHILE also keeping maps in mind. Perhaps they already do this, but right now it just feels like you are forced into one way with certain killers.
If you get W as Artist then you do clearly something wrong, Artist is definatly designed against that aswell. That is exactly what I mean, ppl dont even learned her properly and think thats it how you play her.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
I feel like I'd enjoy Artist more if we weren't already so massively oversaturated with anti-loop no mobility killers. As it is, she's absolutely not "amazingly designed" but instead puts me to sleep whenever I face her, or play her (because yes, I finally caved and bought her). It's been the same repetitive ######### for over a year now, with the exception being Blight, and I'm so tired of it all because every killer just seems to play the same and have the same counterplay. They use their power at a loop, hold w from the loop, repeat until you have to drop a pallet.
Her perks are good on most killers, but on my main Pyramid Head? They're trash, absolute garbage, completely useless and then some. I've been testing them and no they're horrible for him.
So if anything, I'm absolutely begging for them to release new content just so I can potentially have something new to play with, because at the moment the most recent killer content I've played with has been literally Silent Hill, a year and a half ago. Nothing after that has at all interested me, so it's like I've been playing a game with no new content in for a year and a half, and I am absolutely ######### begging fot something new.
The only thing I can really agree on is there wasn't a massively breaking bug.
Dont get me wrong but it seems to me that you are not playing her right. Yes you can play her like a nemesis or pyramid head and use the crows only on loops but this is up to you, no one said you have to do that, ofc if you play like this survivors will just hold w.
I play Artist in a complete different way, kinda like a deathslinger I place crows at spots where the survivors has to run and zone them, for example if they want to run around a corner of a big tile, just place a crow facing the corner, they are forced to take a wide angle and you will therefore instantly catch up. Ofc this is just 1 single example, its hard to note down everything you can do with her but I ensure you, there is so much more to her than you think.

It's really good on Wraith with kicking speed addon tho.
Its amazing in combo with pop, I use it since it came out and it carried me through the games way too often already.

They could release less killers / survivors and focus on game changes + skins for money.
There is so many things they could create and make money on.
-Let me buy a new mori effects, that would be big one, they said they want to make it somehow base mechanic in future, so it would make a lot of sense.
-Charms
-Gen / Hook / Locker skins
-Loading screens
-I want skins for Victor.
-new emotes for survivors (you really don't need some fortnite dances to ruin this, but some emotes would work like "hello", thumbs up / down etc.)
-Higher tier skins that might change during game based on number of gens / hooks. That would be cool.
Hmm, any other ideas?
Ohh they asked that once in a poll on twitter, beeing able to customize your basement. I would love to have a bar down there! I would pay everything for that.

@Lat0 said:
This game heavily depends on new content, the gameplay is really stale and repetitive
If you stick only with the same killer or role then yes.
-
Ye I also made an post exactly like that xD I thought about this already over a year ago but well seems like the devs think its not that unfair for some reason.
-
I do understand where you are coming from because I also got attached to that game and community somehow. If that is something good or bad we will never know, however I can ensure you that many old players go through this emotional rollercoaster.
It may sound weird but just like with ppl who can get sick and tired of each other (Married couple is an best example) or a toy for child that just drops it and forgets about it, dbd is also something that will fade and be less attractive by time. This applies obviously to every game aswell.
Just take it easy, dont be too rough on yourself and play something else or just take a break from the PC/Console. Thats the best advise I can give you, wish I could do more but well I am also only human in the end.

Apologies for the bump but here's some proof that you can, in fact, go down slopes:
Both of these were from 2 games I literally just had
and this is why range add-ons are my favourite
Ye I tested this myself in a custom and I can confirm that when you are too close at the stairs then the power stops, you have to stand abit further away and then it will follow the stairs.

Controversial counterpoint: No one should see anyone's name.
No that would be awfull.
I agree that some ppl abuse this in toxic ways like using moris to tunnel a player off for any reason but it has also good sides aswell for example avoiding hackers you know by their name like I do with a specific Jill.
Or known bigger players that are playing every game sweaty and you wanna avoid them cuz you just wanna do your dailys or challanges.

Okay essentially, you can guarantee it goes down any slope (so not, like, the side of a hill or something) by aiming your camera directly down it, as off to the side will mess it up. Stand a step or so back from the edge of the ledge and then let it go, as being too close to the start of the stairs will mean nothing happens. The general rule I've used for a while is that you want at least 1 trail segment to fully spawn before it goes down for it to actually go down.
I'd get video footage for you bit I woke up 15 minutes ago and gotta get out the house very soon
Oh I see I mean this makes sense, then I was just too close already to the stairs and therefore nothing happened, well thats good to know, thanks for that! Ye would be cool to see footage, thanks in advance.
-
A quick question, cuz this also happened to me, in the library at midwich, you know the ramp to downstairs where a totem spawns often right next to it? I also wasnt able to use the punishment there, it happened aswell for me that it just stopped when I tried to hit a survivors there. My question is if there is any way to maybe make it more reliable to hit on ways like that cuz seems like I am having trouble on ramps down like that since it also didnt work for me on basement stairs.

This has absolutely been in the game since day 1. I mentioned it in a guide I made for him back in May 2021, and I've known about it for even longer.
There was no buff to his power that I'm aware of through my own games recently. He's always been able to go down something, provided it isn't too steep and you begin the power on a flat surface instead of already on the slope.
I cannot comment on the other two as I don't play those killers, but you're absolutely wrong about this one.
Aight seems like many ppl say that, even though it was weird that it didnt work for me in 2 occasions, lets call it a bug. But again, I mentioned 2 other things aswell, its not ONLY about pyramid head.

That’s weird. I would even consider Alchemist’s Ring Blight’s best add on so why is it more common than a green add on that’s almost as good?
No clue, my Blight has 40 rings, 20 iri tags and 2 crows xD, I barely use them obviously since I have almost none, I can only use them with a black ward.
-

Its your word against my word lel my point also still stands.

I’d reword your title to be less accusatory, instead pose a question: “Was The Executioner’s Power Changed?”
Mention how you noted the new functionality, and see if you get a bite.
Well it isnt only about pyramid head, I also mentioned oni, nemesis and there are also more things I can mention if requested, these are just SOME examples of how often things get changed without mentioning. Its not like it just started, it has been like this for years.
-

Even Otzdarva mentioned this on his Pyramid head guide. I also myself tried it back then when I tried learning pyramid head and it never worked, it got always cut.

Ye I have the feeling with every Killer. Some addons are WAY more rare than others.
Like the Blighted crow (Green speed addon) for Blight, they are even harder to find than Blight tag (Iri) or Alchemists ring.
Same goes to Akitos Crutch (Purple speed) for Oni, I get like 1 after every 2-3 levels and I am getting literally spammed with Scalpet Topnoks.
Dont know why its so extrem at these examples.
