Some mechanics start as a bug and get implemented or changed to a feature, its not the first time something like this happened in a game. Wow had back then a bug where a warlock could avoid fall damage by using a specific ability in the right moment, the devs then implemented a glyph that does that exactly later.
A bug doesnt always necesarely mean its something bad. Same goes to hug tech, its a way to use the ability with planning and also ALOT of skill. There is a reason why a small percentage of blights know how to use it, it requires a lot of training, skill and understanding which is imo totally fine.

I met a few times @Aven_Fallen but thats it, tbf I usually dont pay much attention of who am I facing.
-
From what I see you are not acting much better than him. Seems like 2 children are throwing words onto each others head. Not trying to be rude but it is what I see on those screenshots, the only difference is he is using insults and you dont but you both are still acting childish and trying to call each other out for perks or ways someone plays.
-
I am not really paying attention about who is console or not, dont really care about things like that tbh.

Oh no, he despises nemesis.
Those are some strong feelings man
-
I love both mechanics, however I think both still need some slight tweaks.
If a boon is getting snuffed the survivor who previously blessed it will have a 60 sec cooldown on that perk(s). A different survivor can still boon that same totem, its just to prevent that the same guy comes back and starts blessing it again the second the killer leaves.
And I think that once you sacrifice a survivor on a scourged hook, a new one should become scourged. That wouldnt just prevent that you cuck your own perk but also opens up a new way of strategy to that perk cuz you can "move" a scourged hook from a ######### area if you get the chance.
But speaking of the base idea I love both of them, great idea and well made from the devs.

Dayum your friend must be one hell of a nemesis player

The key to understanding the cosmic truth of the situation is...
...People aren't going to be happy with anything, and they're always going to complain. A similar thing happened recently; over and over people say they want a "game health chapter", but when we got a game health midchapter, people complained that there was "nothing in it".
I remember ppl beeing very happy about the giant midchapter patch we got last time?

But other games don´t balance around kill/death statistics while asking people to throw the match in order to complete a objective that has no connection on how the game is actually played.
well there are games that require you to do that
-
@Tsulan said:
My opinion is mixed. Sure, it's a nice side objective. That slightly reduces the grind. But on the other hand it can create a lot of frustration, when we get some objectives that are impossible to achieve without throwing the match.
ye I get what you mean, but I feel like thats an necessary trade off, I mean other games have the same issues like that you know.

The amount of people who think "this person is only good just because of stretched" is honestly quite incredible
you shouldnt take everything so serious, I doubt ppl like this are meaning it literally, no one says that ppl like this are compeltly unable to play. He is just exaggeration in terms of a joke like jeez no one is attacking you personally so calm down.
-
In some cases yes but you can objectively see that a Killer that doesnt has a chase power is worse then any other Killer in the game. You can try to make any argument you want or try to make the power look nice, as long as there is no chase or loop ability the Killer will be weaker compared to others. If that is something bad or not is up to you, I wouldnt mind having a weaker Killer, not every new killer doesnt need to break the meta or beat the other top tier killers.
But the complains are definatly valid, the new Killer is basicly a new Myers or Freddy, that makes her pretty boring.
-
Very dissapotioning, I guess thats what we get complaining about anti loop Killers. Now we got a m1 killer with stealth something completly new and fun!
Her perks are okey but also nothing too crazy or unique overall a pretty stale chapter, I think the star of this chapter is the stretched res fix!! I am so happy about that, I cant way to play Killer then!

I think there is no need of buffing territorial imperetive, it is good at what its doing already.
On Monstrues its a hard topic, I dont know personally really how to make basement perks good but I think turning it into a basement slow down perk would be cool, maybe if you hook someone in the basement all gens are getting blocked for 20sec. As a small reward for all the way you carry a survivor. It needs a cooldown though to prevent buffing basement bubba, maybe 60sec cooldown?
-
I had a lot of cheaters in the winter event but since the lunar event I have seen none, atleast no obvious cheaters, you can never be sure about subtle cheaters.

I believe because ghostface has a overall bigger customer range he was the better pick for the anniversary, sure stranger things was also big but ghostface is by far more known.

Why do you keep mentioning decisive strike and borrowed time? The only time they work is if the killer starts tunneling. If you don’t tunnel survivors lose 2 perks. Also nemesis is pretty bad against good survivors. If you want 4ks consistently master blight, nurse or oni.
Oni? Lol
-
What kind of joke is that? They are just blood points, you can farm easily over a million in 1 day even as survivor... what difference makes it if you level the new killer with just 1 million or 3? You will have the killer done a few hours later congratulations...
like bro grow up I have nothing more to say xD
-
In the end you will never know but I would NEVER go that far to accuse someone of cheating if you have no 100% proof, its also just pretty cringe if you are in the end wrong and you make a idiot out of yourself.
Here some context.
I play every 1-3 days around 20 games on average, I get on every 3-4th game 1 person atleast accusing me of any kind of cheat.
Suprisingly the majority is on Artist atm for "wallhacking"..
Again not saying subtle cheating doesnt exist but there is also no reason to immidiatly snap and call someone out if you have no proof.
-
Clown by FAR. On freddy you just place the snairs on the ground which requires literally 5 brain cells and is just very boring and unsatisfying to play.
On Clown however you can throw a bottle on a lot of surfaces, yes 99% of the baby Clowns just throw them on the ground since they are too lazy to use their brain but if you put atleast a slight bit of thought into it and plan ahead you can make some very smart plays and outplay survivor hard by spreading the gas smart on a tile to gain a huge advantage.
Clown is very fun cuz you can experiment alot of the gas spread, I really love that aspect of him, ppl who claim Clown to be boring are just throwing the bottles on the ground like a freddy which I dont deny is boring, however no one forces you to play like this, its up to you if you play in a boring way not to the killer.

black ops 4 zombies was always great! Just like ppl in dbd the cod zombies community is whining and overreacting

@Seanzu said:
My hot take is, and this is for both sides;
The majority of the time you lose, it's your fault, not a perk, not a playstyle, but you either made some pretty glaring mistakes as a killer, or yourself / team did something stupid that caused a snowball.
Far too many people also can't admit when this is the case, and tend to exacerbate things and call them op / unfun / unbalance or unfair.
true, however it would also be wrong to claim that you ONLY lost because you made mistakes, its a mix of all things depending on the situation. If you get the game as Clown you can be jesus christ himself and still lose for example. So its important also to keep track of the other aspects aswell but you are absolutely right that barely anyone accepts their own mistakes.

I don't really like the whole 'hot take' thing but
I do have a few opinions I'm sure some would consider highly contentious, perhaps even silly.
1) Dead Hard is the only perk that helps against the strongest killers in the game and if/when it gets nerfed I feel a lot more people will notice.
2) I think Corrupt Intervention is generally overrated. Still an incredible perk but I'm not 100% convinced it's as required as some make it out to be.
If anyone wants me to explain these further, let me know!
That is true, but I believe ppl arent really complaining about dead hard as a nurse or blight really, the only killers that really suffer from it are obviously the weaker Killers.
I agree with corrupt, I only use it on specific killers that have a slow start like Oni, Myers or Trapper. Everytime I see it on a Killer like Blight I have to immidiatly laugh cuz its just such a terrible choice.

Basically this, but I would not say that this makes the Add On useless. It can be used with a very specific Build, but outside of this build, I would not use this Add On at all.
As Survivor, I take the Killer seeing my aura for denying them their power all the way.
If you try to make the gloves work then just play all seeing wraith bro 🤣
-
If the addon would do what you describe then this addon would be actually good, I always said it like this.
However sadly this isnt how it is or how you think it is.
The survivors actually ABSORB the blood orbs, which means they take away your power in order for you to see the aura which is kinda dumb. Sure you still have some orbs around the map but a big portion of it is getting sucked up from survivors, if they are smart they can run around on purpose and suck them up like a vacuum cleaner.
This makes the addon so unbelievebly useless.

Well I did notice that the first month of it constantly put my against sweats. I came back a week ago to get the event cosmetics on the same killer and got more of a mixed bag. So either people got their mmr boosted by good teammates or mmr got broken, and this was with no backfill. I would usually load in at the same times the survivors would in the pre-game lobby.
the reason is very simple, the max mmr (the cap) is pretty low, its not really that hard to reach it. You can reach it within a day or two of just playing, since ppl apperantly came back by time since MMR came out they all eventually reached the cap and now we are all within the same matchmaking basicly just like back then with the red ranks.

@Azshhh said:
I'm dancing on the emblem systems grave hoping it never returns for ranking purposes. It was pure cancer on the survivor side on the higher end, several of the emblems rely on limited resources in a match so just safety pipping would often be a mission & you'd have to keep worrying about other survivors stabbing you in the back because they'd be after said resources too.
I lost count of the number of times I was left to die on hook because other survivors HAD to make sure they get at least 2 gens done just to black pip
things like this could always be tweaked, also keep in mind that many other killers also suffer from emblems still to this day. One shot Killers dont get compensated in the chase emblem for their insta downs, so you will most likely black pip if you are lucky and this is just one example of many.
-
@Carrow said:
The truly sad thing is that if they had just only tweaked the emblem system so that it was tremendously more difficult to pip up, it would have been a totally serviceable system. Unlike this absolute miserable failure.
Exactly bing bong boy!

"Did the old ranking matchmaking work fine and was good? No"
IMO the old ranking matchmaking stopped working once they pretty much removed Rank Reset. When they added that you get only set back 1 Color, it started that:
- Killers who dont really belong to Red Ranks are almost all the time in Red Ranks and face Survivors who belong there
- Survivors who dont really belong to Red Ranks are almost all the time in Red Ranks and face Killers who belong there
Before, this would only happen near the end of a "season", but with the changes they have done, it happened basically immediatly.
And their reasoning behind this was pretty nonsense (in general AND because of something they did later) - the reasoning was that someone who does not have that much time to play will not be able to reach Rank 1. And IMO it is completely reasonable that players who play more, get more.
However, once they changed this, the overall quality of Survivors and Killers in Red Ranks really dropped. And at this point, they seem to have decided to implement an MMR-System in a casual game with lots of factors. And since you cannot take all those factors into account, they just boiled it down to escapes and Kills. Because, you know, if I play Blight and get 9 Hooks and a 1K I am worse than another Killer who gets 2K with way less Hooks than me.
You only really felt MMR the first month after implementation and afterwards, it is pretty much random. You can get really good Survivors one game and then stomp 4 Babies they next game. Or, you play against one of the best Killer players in the game one day and the next day, you face Killers who dont even know how to run common tiles.
And, the funny thing, and why I said that their decision to reduce Rank Reset was nonsense - now, you get set back to Ash IV, the lowest Rank possible, meaning that players who cannot play much, will not get as much as players who play a lot. Which was the sole reason why they changed Rank Reset back then AND which lead to these awful players in Red Ranks and this mess of MMR.
IMO if they would have tweaked the Emblem-System a bit and made Rank Reset harder again, it would have been way better.
@Pulsar said:

FINALLY
Someone else thinks that way.
Red Ranks was never good per say, but it was way better before they made Rank Reset a joke.
Agree, I would even say the current emblem system with ranks (grades) is fine enough for the state of the game and THIS should be our matchmaking, sure potatos can also reach iridiscent 1 but it is WAY harder for them so you will have a smaller chance to meet those players rather then how it is right now with the mmr.
-
@Pulsar said:
MMR annihilated my hope that the game will reach it's potential.
Two years on a system that gives us the exact same matchmaking as before.
Agree it was very dissapointing to see how they hyped it up just to give us that half ass ######### that even monkeys could do. Like for real even hearthstone has a better MMR and its a simple 1v1 game.
-
@JonahsTablet said:
Perfectly summed up my thoughts, it's almost completely random for me now which makes my games far more fun.
Ye can be fun, I still prefer having more control over it, rather if I want to tryhard and get matched with tryhard ppl or not however I wouldnt say my experience has gotten worse BECAUSE of MMR. I would more so say that we got over the time much more tryharding swf squads or ppl.

Sure, but let him get the speed boost of PWYF stacks then.
I agree with that, its not the first thing that has a weird interaction though, I also recently found out that survivors that are oblivious dont count in as in your TR which is also quiete stupid. Could be maybe also a programming issue.
-
I get where you are coming from, however I believe this is a also a nice way to make letting go off a gen abit risky, I think it isnt that bad.

It doesn’t logically make sense. Victor can’t earn or use the stacks, yet drains them from Charlotte. Literally the only perk interaction of Victor is draining unusable PWYF stacks. ?
Idk for me an "offensive action" would count in victors pounce, this does sound just logical to me.
-
Either a animal like Killer that walks on 4 feet like a werewolf or something or a robotic killer would be also cool to see. I dont mean any licenses, I am sick and tired of them.
-
@GoshJosh said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2802685#Comment_2802685
Before they nerfed it, yes. You’d get a stack when switching to Victor, and his pounces would not utilize stacks. Which makes sense because he isn’t affected by any perks, but for some reason BHVR says he counts as the killer and not a power.
Even though he doesn’t get the speed boost from PWYF, he consumes the stacks now. Amazing.
That sounds more like unintended and they fixed that now which is totally reasonable and makes sense imo, victor is a character not a power. With that logic zombies should also be effected by perks which would be busted.
-
Any oneshot Killer that doesnt use M1 too often which means: Myers, Bubba, Billy, Ghostface or Plague
Exceptions would be oni since he also gains some value but not that great as the others.
And wraith since he can spam cloak to gain very fast tokens.

I mean cool idea and all but it isnt really up to you if you escape, there are so many factors that come in which makes it kinda pointless to call it a "challange" imo.
