Grades has nothing to do with ranking, and "because it prolongs grinding" is surely not a good reason to keep it.
It's like saying "we should get negative exp when we lose, so we can feel the progress of levels!", it doesn't makes sense.
Grades literally are a ranking, they just got seperated from the matchmaking, did you even play something else then dbd?

There is literally no logical reason to keep depipping.
There is, its called ranking, 95% of all multiplayer games with a "ranked" mode has it too. Its to showcase your progress in the season which is a nice motivation for the player and since we finally got a decent end season reward its ever better of a reason to depip now.

Yeah, on a tangent I’ve had people try to say that “pips” are what determines if you won or lost a match. This is yet another example of how pips aren’t actually a good metric of “winning”.
Tbh they are a pretty decent system and with more fine turning and adjustments it could easily be a 500 times better skill based matchmaking then what we have right now. But obviously the devs just implemented them and just forgot about the emblems since then, they really should focus their work on that rather then the MMR which ovisouly has no reason to exist really.

There is nothing to fix honestly, only some slight adjustments like tweaking some addons and maybe the overheat a little but thats it.

its THE Nemesis
-
I wouldnt blame the perks too much of the survivors, its more (also not the players themselves fault) about the survivors that dont have anything else to do then gens really. So the time you chase and down one survivor (who has obviously the entire map for him full of pallets) 3 gens will pop. The games isnt necesarrely over but it is very hard to keep a game going like that.
You are basicly forced to play like this, even more if you play a weaker Killer. Perks like Deadlock etc are just bandaid fix because the gens will STILL pop soon enough.
BHVR needs to come up with a new way to deal or pogress the game otherwise. Either give survivors a side objective that they need to do in order to keep going with the game OR give the killer a side objective to gain pressure somehow. I always loved the idea of somehow pleasing the entity with some kind of blood ritual to trigger a "mid game collapse" where the gens are blocked and survivors are forced to interact with the killer for 1 min somehow.
-
I personaly really enjoy playing her but atm I am prestiging and using up puddings on other killers so ye but once i am done I will play her alot more.
But I feel like ppl are too lazy to understand how you play her properly, get a very early poor first impression and think shes an anit loop killer and then drop her immidiatly, sadly this happens ALOT of to new Killer.

Marvins blood only good addon for nemesis? lol I am glad this addon got nerfed for ppl like you.

My own fault for misremembering--I knew they slowed her down, I just was certain it was from 110-115%
Knew I should have fact-checked myself, but eh--easy "fix"
Also, try being constructive next time you insult someone's attempt at a helpful post. I'm not saying you're a ########, but you are acting distinctly unkind; BenZ0 didn't deserve that kind of hostility, friend.
@BenZ0, you should probably change the incorrect content by editing the original post, though.
Yes thank you for defending me, I appreciate it <3, I already updated some things like the myers tier ups and some other things, if there is still something to change you can always let me know.

They did not fix that, they nerfed the Add-On. Because before, it was also in the description.
It is a very minor Nerf, but I dont really know why they would do that since the impact of opening Lockers faster was almost 0.

Myers can reach EW3 more than 4 times without addons and the Shadow Dance addons have no effect on lockers.
Those two I noticed at a glance, it's quite possible there are other mistakes still.
ever thought of things may change? I have never said they are 100% accurate at that time, these are things I know from patches before and we have already talked at the first page about the wraith and myers stalk, seems like you are just reading the og post and ignoring the rest.. Some things change and dont change, if you have other things then share them unless cry about my mistakes, I am happy if you can disprove me unlike you.

Tbh Trapper is better nowdays since you have now WAY more and better anti gen perks, the problem with back then when you just had pop and ruin, yes ruin was kinda okey but still, trapper didnt had a consistent slowdown which means once your pressure is gone one time, its basicly impossible to recover, you have to get atleast a 1k once you build up your snowball.
However nowdays you have stuff like no way out, dead lock, scourched hook pain resonance which helps you alot with gen pressure without you requiring to walk up to gens which means you can concentrate more on placing traps.
Many ppl often to forget that new perks that especially shift up the meta also change the power levels of some Killers.

Yeah i agree but i say every survivor because there are moment where the gen is about to pop and is the last, you want to save the gen because the killer is coming but another team mate could finish it, but know you gotta wait 30 secs.
ye true but I would say this is a very rare situation, atleast this never happened to me tbh, one other things I get this cuz its against trolling but its still dumb that you cannot block the gen when someone else is repairing on that gen, i had some situations where I would like to block the gens but the survivor didnt let go...
-

That is saying something xD
actually true, I love playing twins, really sad that ppl view it differently :C
-
I like the most changes but I disagree with Repressed alliance.
Actually repressed alliance is one of the best perks, it can save up SO many situations where a gen would be basicly gone to 0 again. Keep in mind that its not ONLY against pop, if the killer has ruin you can also stop the regression like that. Same goes to pain resonance which got pretty popular and is actually a meta perk currently. You can just block off the gen before the killer hooks and save that gen, well yes the pain resonance will hit another gen but maybe your current gen is literally about to pop or in a very bad spot which needs to be done.
This perk is realy heavily underused and underestimated which I totally agree with you there however if someone else can kinda "unblock" that gen that can cause some dumb moments where a survivor who doesnt know or realize it to unblock the gen for the killer again. However if you would change that to only YOU can unblock the gen like that then it would be totally fine.

really? i tried and got some slight elevation
I see I tested it now and ye you can look up slightly with the tentacle but not down though (I am used to look down if someone wants to blind me). However for in my tests atleast you dont have any difference in your hitbox with the tentacle, keep in mind that on most objects survivors can avoid a hit by just crouching (its abit inconsistent though). Also the height of the object is important, if its too high then the whip doesnt go over.

That makes no sense. Nurse's blinks don't make her the strongest killer. Being able to attack after a blink makes her a strong killer, except for the fact that that's literally the only way she can get attacks anyway (aside from edge cases).
You've made a completely nonsensical argument here, and didn't even address my original question.
BTW, Starstruck isn't activated on attack. You might want to check your dbd knowledge.
You are trolling right? 😂

It would be more than insta down affected. Perks like Sloppy would be useless or any other status effect.
Sloppy in 2022? LOL
*Edit: Its obivously meant as a joke, I do get your point but I still believe it isnt fair that nurses blink attack counts as a basic M1, in that case Legions FF should also be reverted as a M1.
-
@Mr_K said:
Nurse: Her blink attack is the ONLY one ability in dbd that doesnt count as a special attack (which it should). "Its not really unknown but still interesting".
Wraith out of cloak lunge.
Spirit out of Haunting.
(I want to say Blight but I think its a special attack)
Also:
NURSE: After blinking, the Nurse used to have a special attack with different speed values and detection zones. This has been removed. The Nurse will now have a regular lunge after blinking.
Wraith and Spirit just get a movementspeed boost after their power, it isnt therefore a "special attack" like a blight rush or nemesis tentacle hit.
Yes you can argue that the nurse blink counts as a "movementspeed" ability but like lets be real, would it hurt nurse to not use noed or starstruck? These perks both are pretty busted on nurse and shouldnt be able to work with her power, I mean look at legion, legion got exactly that nerf but nurse didnt why?
-
@WeenieDog said:
The reel speed is the same regardless of whether you are holding s, w or nothing. But I usually still angle and walk backwards to slide them off surfaces they might catch on to.
ye I think I worded that wrong, I know about this. What I mean is sometimes you want the survivors to come towards you slower so you can walk around an specific object, I guess its really hard to explain this situation in words.
-
@PlaysByShady said:
Nurse: Her blink attack is the ONLY one ability in dbd that doesnt count as a special attack (which it should).
Why should it count as a special, exactly?? It's not like she can get M1 attacks (in general) any other way, given that she's literally slower than survivors!! Forcing it to be "special" indicates she can rely on the normal use of her power and thus make use of a whole host of perks that trigger on this... which is simply not the case.
So, would love to hear a well thought out and considered argument for why her blink attack should be considered as a special, the same as other killers whose specials supplement their basic attacks.
Nurse is already with her ability the strongest Killer in the game, why should she need support from exposed perks like noed or starstruck? If you didnt know starstruck nurse is absolutely busted.

It has nothing to do with your camera, the tentacle hitbox is like doctor's, it also injures if the target is slightly higher then you, works for example on swamp at those edges you know where the ground is a slope.

Sry then, Legion isnt even a Killer at this point really xD but well we will get a "rework" soon I guess, I dont have much hopes tbh.

I'm pretty sure your Myers fact is incorrect. Basekit Myers should be able to get to Tier III up to 7 times, if I'm not mistaken. With certain addons, however, it takes more stalk points to get to Tier III for the first time, so in those cases, your maximum number of Tier III's would be fewer.
I am pretty sure regardless of which addon you will reach only 4 T3's but I may have to test that out, maybe they changed some stuff after the addon number changes who knows.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Know what screw it I have a couple more.
Specific killer interactables, such as Pig Boxes, Freddy Clocks, Onryō's TVs, or even Pyramid' s cages, will spawn where Chests will. This can be used to varying effect on different killers, naturally, with the knowledge best served on Pyramid Head.
Pyramid Head's cages also have a built in timer, and if you remain too close for the duration of this timer then the cage will teleport to the current furthest away spawn, pausing the sacrifice timer in the process. If you play smart, you can force a survivor to run across the entire map only to send the cage right the way back. With Ruin, the effect can be devastating to team progress.
Nemesis' whip has a hitbox that pushes forwards. If any collision gets in the way of this hitbox, even if it is then clear on the other side again and in theory a whip over an object should hit, it will not go over the object. Looking up as Nemesis seemingly raises the height of the tentacle and so can allow for better hits over objects provided you know where the survivor is as they likely won't be on your screen.
A survivor who has the Endurance Status Effect, either through Soul Guard, Borrowed Time, or Mettle of Man, will not be put to sleep if hit by Freddy while they are awake.
Trapper has a grace period on his traps and, provided he doesn't leave the hitbox of the trap, can walk all over a trap for as long as he needs without being trapped himself.
You can neither look up or down while you pull your tentacle as nemesis, I made this experience and got blinded like this xD

Also Demo fact that I think is kinda well known, but I mention it anyways, because most Demo's I played against don't use it:
Shredding from a hill or any other elevation gives you so much more distance than just walking.
Hovewer, Shredding from an elevation doesn't seem to ever hit a Survivor, I guess because the Hit Box of it is around Demo's arms and not his legs.
I love to do that its really fun! Especially on very high buildings like iron works or the new map

@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
Demogorgon's FOV increases when his Shred is ready. It's not by much but it's there, making Demogorgon the Killer with the biggest FOV (I think)
Demogorgon's Shred is the fastest attack in the game, moving at 18.4 Meters pre second
Legion has a bigger FOV in FF, its almost like shadowborn but not sure about the exact numbers.

Its a while since I used that perk but I do remember that you see a little red timer (the circle going around the perk icon) after you hit someone? Unless they took that out now which would be unfortunate.
However I do believe this perk needs some serious buffs, QoL wouldnt be enough imo. I really like the idea of the perk but just like dead mans switch its very inconsistent and also the pay off is very little (atleast buff the duraiton to 45 sec or something).

I do recognize it being a free escape during endgame. But even that I don't have an issue with it.
edit: btw, isn't DS dead?🤣 At least that was what people were shouting when it was last changed.
ye ppl like to shout out random stuff, I personally still see 1-2 ds every game, which I again dont mind, I even welcome it. It reduces the chance of UB or other much more impactful perks.
-
@Bwsted said:
Your reasoning is completely backward. After eating a DS, you're not tunneling because DS forces you, but because it can't stop you anymore.
Even more so because in your story you're implicitly playing around DS by looking for other survivors and/or slugging the rescued survivor.
what kind of logic is that? Playing around DS is basicly not tunneling? xD My point is I am more likely playing around BT rather then DS, in my case when someone runs into me this has nothing to do with borrow or ppl trying to tank, its the person running into me for whatever reason.

I still see a good amount of ppl who are mentioning it or complaining about DS. Often you see arguments like "Typical survivor using DS, DH, BT". Yeah, I have the same problem. I don't really check names during the match.
Played against someone from my friendslist who removed me afterwards.
Doesnt sound like a good friend then, better that way I guess.
I get it that it is not nice if you play "not nice" against a friend but tbh dbd is dbd, you are not expected to go easy on ppl only cuz you know them.
But ye I am the same, I had my best friend in the lobby, I played Clown on lerys and we both where also in call. He was just playing solo que and I played Killer and it took us like 5min into the game to realize that we are facing each other xD We also made comments like "Dude this clown is so annoying he always knows where I am so I cannot flashlight save" and me be like " dude this dwight is so annoying to deal with he keeps looping me perfectly". We where laughing our asses off after that experience xD The best thing is the moment we realized it was us was becuase you can hear my space bar through my mic, always when I vaulted he could hear my space bar and was like "is it you ben?", best experience of my life oof.

Theres nothing to understand. You can possiby get some value out of one or two stacks and it will get destroyed and not stay up long. I stack according to the situation. My goal is to stack 5 stacks because of its tremendously strong effects but that doesnt mean that im oblivious to what is going on in the match so agaiun depends on the situation. I play all Hex builds quite often and because of my success with it i can see why all hexes are so annoying for survivor. Thankfully noo one plays my builds or i'd have a harder time. Not that i dont have a hard time sometimes in solo que but it can be worse.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2820458#Comment_2820458
You can get good value with it with Plague! I empahsize that Pentimento can get destroyed early as a smart survivor will go look for it just like Ruin but i digress. I dont like Hex builds on Pague, i dunno i just dont. With Plague my build that has given me masive success with her in games is
Scourge Hooks/Pop/Dying Light/Thanatophobia
I really dont have a main build on any killer, I love to switch around and try out new cool and fun stuff and tbh if you open yourself up like that and try out new builds you can find also just as strong builds as current meta builds. You dont need 4 anti gen perks to succeed, that is sadly a exaggeration that ppl have stuck in their heads since years for some reason.
-
I actually try to get use out of the first stack alone, for example Hex plaything, Pentimento and tana.
I dont really go for more then 2 stacks, I just want the gen and heal reduction stacked with tana, which goes then to a 50% repair speed penalty.
Playing a Killer like Plague will get pretty good value out of it, since you are injured constantly if you dont cleanse you dont want to have the oblivious effect of plaything. If ppl start to cleanse and ignore the plaything like that and try to avoid beeing injured I use addons like devotee's amulete to get a longer duration of the power.
Thats a much more fun and less frustrating build imo.
For the ppl who are interested trying out that build on Plague:
Corrupt - Hex: Plaything - Hex: Pentimento - Thanatophobia / Addons: Devotee's Amulette - Infected Emetic (You can use here whatever you like, I used the effectiveness addon but it doesnt matter much what you take there at the second slot)
You can also slap on dying light insted of currupt just for fun.
-
Artist? Blight? Pinhead? Twins? Idk what your problem is, its always easy and cover your eyes and pretend something is bad even though you have exactly those things you are asking for right infront of you.
I agree that some adaptions of movie Killers where abit dissapotining like Nemesis aswell but doesnt mean ALL new killers are trash.
