Why not give killers the option to dodge swf groups?
Either by having the flagged in the lobby, or by allowing for them to be "turned off", similar to cross play.
That way killers who aren't bothered by, or enjoy being stomped can still go against them if they so wish. But the rest of us are spared the misery.
The arugement from swfs would be that it would kill swfs being a thing, but they wont ask themselves why Killers don't enjoy versing swfs, and why solo players generally don't' like being with partial swfs.
It will just provoke a response that every killer or solo wants easy mode and they should get good.
-
This game is crap for newbies, Let alone learning the game, the grind is horrendous to just be competitive, It is'nt as bad as a survivor but killers need perks to be competitive.
Either sink the hours into it or quit, because it takes awhile for it to get better.

You can’t balance the game around SWF because killers are already powerless against SWF. I can’t imagine playing every match where the survivors have SWF potential even if they are four solo players.
And not doing anything about game health will kill it as well. Have fun surviving with your friends when there is a lack of Killers.
My solution:
Give swfs a handicap. For every player in a swf give them a repair speed slowdown.
4 man swf gens take 15% longer or whatever figure you want.
But for all the positives survs find with swfs, it makes the game Horrible for : Balance, Solo's, newbies and 90% of the killer roster.

It is nice to players not understanding the difference between minor inconvenience and totally broken, but sure dude some totems are "hard to snuff" but aren't completely un-snuffable. There's a pretty big difference there that you're incapable of seeing I guess.
"Hey guys, this totem is completely unbreakable"
"OH YEA? I have to turn my camera slightly to get this boon to snuff, totally the same"
Hey guys there's this map that the door's aren't spawning on lets do offerings so we get it. - Fine.
Hey guys there's a map that that we map that does'nt spawn hooks up stairs so we can use boil over and offerings to make the game crap - Fine
Hey guys sometimes a totem spawns on Dead dog that can't be cleansed even though it only affects 1 totem and only killers who use totems - Not fine.
Yeah you're obviously not biased.
-
I think she would create more hype if she was slightly op at the start then nerfing her accordingly a week or so after, rather than garbage at the start and still garbage a month on.

Wow crazy bro you really go... oh wait... I agree with you except for the simple fact that breaking totems is a base mechanic of the game so something preventing a base mechanic from happening is a little bit more of an issue, I'd love to see your opinion on if there were totems survivors could boon but killers couldn't snuff, having two pallets is nowhere near preventing base mechanics from working at all.
Also the ONLY reason anyone would argue that maps should be kept enabled when totem spots are uncleansable are people that would want to exploit that fact, I just sat here trying to think of a reason any player would think keeping maps enabled with broken totem spawns on them would be to abuse that fact.
Lets disable all the maps that have more than one pallet on them :)
I don't run totems so it doesn't bother me, There are plenty of totems that are hard to snuff, not impossible but require you to be in exactly the right spot, many of the showers in Learys for instance.
But preschool for instance was being abused, much like hooks in Rpd were with Boilover. People were using offerings just to do this.
So you can argue the point all you like, but as i see it, many times the game is made absolutely crap for killers with bugs, and they're left however a killer getting 1 totem out of how many on 1 map causes the kill switch.

A double pallet doesn't make the game unplayable for either side so why would they kill switch it even if it was live? Lmao
Totems not being able to be cleansed doesn't either.
-
It's a good idea until it gets broken with "questionable content".
I remember when you could upload your own jpegs to spray in Counterstrike, it just turned into Porn, drugs, or racism.

It's on the PTB and not live. The map is on the PTB to be tested. Disabling the map on the PTB makes no sense.
🦆🦂
It's in general rather than ptb, hence why i thought it was live.

Because removing a survivor perk from the game is bad, However removing a Killer's perk is fine.
All dbd players are equal, but some are more equal than others.
-
@Peanits said:
I can confirm this is a bug. It won't happen every time, but sometimes it'll spawn more tiles than it's supposed to.
We haven't actually added more pallets to the House of Pain, don't worry.
So you'll be kill switching it right?
Oh it's only a negative for killers sorry i'll move on.
my apologies.

The problem there is no other Boon is used that way except Exponential. The other two are passive "stand in boon area, get no scratch marks/ extra speed".
You can't change CoH in a way that causes it to work completely differently from other Boons.
Well you can you just add charges to the amount of times it can be used.
Say to fully heal from wounded to healthy takes 100 charges, and CoH has a total of 300 charges before it fizzles.
That way you can half heal etc and not use a full charge etc.

Well in Australia at least:
Nurses are essential health professionals who care for people (individuals, families, groups and communities) in all health care settings.
In Australia, nurses are regulated health professionals who go through approved training pathways to become registered to practice with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
The NMBA works with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) to regulate the nursing profession.
People must be registered with the NMBA before they can use any of the following protected titles to describe themselves:
- enrolled nurse
- registered nurse
- nurse practitioner.
You can check if a nurse is registered by searching the national register of nurses and midwives registered with the NMBA.
Nurses work with many other health professionals in the public or private health sectors. Settings where nurses work include:
- public hospitals
- private hospitals
- emergency care
- aged care
- general practice clinics
- community health services
- schools
- rural and remote communities.
Nursing and midwifery job titles are protected by law. Learn what nurses and midwives do, what you need to do to become one, and what the different titles mean.Hope this helps.
-
It goes both ways, alot of the time the hatchets hit terrain when they shouldn't.
-
It's in the eye of the beholder.
Nothing more nothing less.
Some people think clicking and bagging is fine, some people think slugging and bleeding is fine.
Some people think racism is fine, some people think playing a fps with a controller is fine.
The point is what annoys you or is toxic for you may not be for me and vice versa.
Just because you get a kick out of standing at a gate behaving like a child wanting to be chased doesn't mean i get a kick out it. Do i think you're toxic for doing that? No, i just think you're a idiot and a child.

Doors not spawning on Haddonfield?
They... haven't implemented breakable walls yet?
Im probably saying the wrong map, the school map then, Badham? The doors werent spawning for a week. The map was left in rotation.

Because unlike something like Bloodlust which is a base mechanic present in every single game, they can already simply look at matches with any number of DH they want. From all 4 having it to no one having it, and everything in between.
And I know I know, "There's no matches with no DH!". We're not talking about the tens or hundreds of matches an individual or even group of individual players can gather data from here. We're talking a lot of matches.
Oh please, they use it when they feel something is too broken. They don't apply it evenly.
Totem that cant be cleansed map killed.
Doors not spawning on Haddon fine.

But what about Shadow step, Exponential, Dark Theory? Should those get the effects to. That’s why the nerf doesn’t work cause your adding so much unnecessary stuff just to nerf 1 perk.
They dont need a change, they can just add charges to CoH.
-
@Chilli_man2400 said:
Because all those suggestions would not fix the issue. The issue isn’t boons. It’s only COH. If you did any one of those changes, then Shadow step, Exponential and Dark Theory become useless ######### perks.
The only change that could work is increase bless time for each snuff. I could see that. But the rest suck. Your literally nuking Boons all because of one perk.
Add a charge per use of coh. max 5 charges then it fizzles and has to be applied to a different totem.
Endless free heals is what makes coh strong, not that you can have a free heal in 10 secs.
-
It just needs a life span, i don't care if they can self heal in 2 seconds or 15 seconds, it's the fact that it is endless.
The boon needs to to fizzle after 3,4,5 uses. Then they have to use a different totem. Easy and balanced.
-
Corn maps.
The orangenish really screws with my vision, with partial colourblind-ness it really screws my ability to land long range snipes even with settings changed.
-
Swfs, boons and crap maps.
All that worst things in dbd and you use that to show case it.
yeah good work.
What's the next marketing ploy? Go play Civilization?

Still look like victims to me.

Even if they made it 120% well not in chase would be great for slow movers.

Which would make it pointless to run. If it just let you heal yourself then you're better off with a medkit. If you can just heal your teammates then We'll Make It would be better. There's honestly no way I can see to balance it. It'll either be annoying or trash tier.
Give it 3 charges per bones then it dies, and killers can also stomp the bones.
It gives it a lifespan, which is the issue. I don't mind that you can heal everyone else, i mind that you can do it endlessly. 1 CoH in it's current form isn't the end of the world, its annoying but 2 or more CoH's is just #$%!, you can't remove it from the game, and on small maps the boons can cover 70% of the gens and hooks.
I had 2 on Dead dog, one was at the water tower, one was behind the saloon near the basement steps, thats nearly every hook and gen covered by CoH. Stomp one other is up, stomp the other first one is back up. If you really love tunneling and face camping bring 2 CoH's.
-
Just stomp harder, once you master Blight massacre every survivor you see, if they complain after game about how you play then you've done your job well.
-
Give Killers an option to opt out of swfs.
You can play with your friends all you want, doesn't mean i want to.
And before i get the this will kill swfs arguement, think why killer's dont want to verse swfs, and then think of a way to encourage killers to want to verse it.
-
Could do with some Bill cosmetics.
He has like 2 jumpers and pants and a hat option.
-
If only survs did the same things for newbie killers.
-
The issue with the perk is not how fast it can heal, it's the fact that its infinite and spamable.
It gives such great value. Imagine if killers could reapply hexes. That's how stupid this perk is. and if you think 1 CoH is stupid, just remember you can have multiple Coh"s on a map.
-
Pingu instead of Ringu.
Gremlins.
-
Another reason why there is more value in tunneling someone from a match than kicking a gen.
-
And if you're a ranged killer the distance is not a problem but the free hit is.
-
Nothing wrong with legacy skins for those who have earned it.

Huntress does have beach ball hatchet hitboxes though. They should have an accurate rectangle around them; I don’t care if it made her “bad” to play.
You don’t see this LaTeNcY problem with Trickster’s blades or Deathslinger’s spear, yea? How this is still defended and normalized is beyond me.
If they fix terrain to stop them being beach balls as well then sure.
And Trickster and slinger's ranged attacks don't spin like a hatchet does in flight, hence why i dont have the abllity to throw over the rock that's infront of me, or the bush, i could'nt possibly hold the hatchet over that rock or hedge no, i have to hold it a foot from my face to throw it.

Tea bagging is fine, Children need a way to express themselves.
Some of them struggle with finger painting and mud pies so they have to have other outlets.

I think 3 survivors body blocking is also not fun... Also of course you had to bring up us vs them.
There's a lot of stuff in this game that is not fun for both sides, which makes it a horribly-designed game as a whole.
That's what this game is about us and them. The only thing we can agree on is that Pc/console players are the worst.
-
Not at all. All the clicking and bagging has just made me not care.
If a Surv d/cs im more merciful in the fact ill kill them quickly to end it faster. If they're genuine newbies ill let them get a bit done before i slaughter them.
No quarter is given to me when im trying a new killer so i show none to anyone.
-
I tunnel and sometimes camp as Huntress.
If you rage at the end of a game i know i've done my job well and the entity will give me a bonus.

Killers can attack... you're still able to deal damage to someone to sort of deal with it.
I do think that it is rough that most Killers can't recover from people taking hits, but this is a terrible comparison.
It is a terrible comparison, i was just using it as an example to show what some people call fun.
You think 2 killers running you down isn't fun, i think 3 survs body blocking isn't fun.
-
@ManyAchievables said:
If we're talking about like... 2 different people playing at the exact same time, then that'd be really hard to balance and would lead to a lot of unfun moments for the Survivors.
And before you say "Oh, it's always about the Survivor fun, huh?", let me ask you to grow up. Game design should inherently be about making things fun, and stuff like having two 115% M1 Killers chasing one Survivor down is the exact opposite of that.
Or 3 survivors body blocking 1 killer is the opposite of fun as well right?
-
No.
It just needs a life span you, get 3 charges per bones then the bones turn to dust.
Killer's dont care about how much it heals or how fast, they care that it has no lifespan. Imagine if Killers could reapply Ruin or Noed at will.
Survs would call it op and busted.

@oxygen said:
May I recommend uninstalling the game and never looking back?
Because your stance isn't just harshly incompatible with DBD, it's harshly incompatible with modern multiplayer gaming on an industry level. The facilitation and even encouragement of social play is quite simply more important than any individual game or genre's balance can ever dream of being, and the best any developer can ever do about it is balance around it to the best of their ability.
But the issue there isn't any balancing around swfs.
Plenty could be done to balance a swf vs solo queue, adding handicaps, slower repair speed, healing speed, faster hook progress faster killer speed.
Anything,
making it duo only for ranked or awarding bp in kyf mode. There just ends up being band aids throw at issues that swfs create/exploit, i.e Boilover rpd etc.
So they nerf a fine perk because when used in co ordination it just creates a rubbish game. So who suffers for that? Solo Survs who use Boilover as intended.
Is balance done around swfs or solo? High mmr, low mmr, Dbd have their fingers in a 1000 holes trying to plug a dam and it just doesn't work.
They need to step back and decide what are we balancing the game on. It took Blizzard 10+ years to finally make talents that were for pvp only, rather than people using pve talents in rated pvp which got those pve talents nerfed and just made lives hell for non pvpers.
-
I'd love to go into this swf just so i can use starstruck and laugh.
-
Lack of gen regression, so little point in kicking gens.
CoH, or multiples of means its more efficent to tunnel and camp a surv than to endless chase when you can free heal.
Get 2 CoH's on Saloon or swamp and it's best just to face camp unless you've got Usain Bolt speed killer.
In sumation, you can't heal or repair gens when you're dead.
-
Anna is probably alot closer to modern day Poland, Estonia, Lithuania etc.
-
Sometimes the hatchets are b.s and sometimes that bush or rock is 5 times bigger and you miss.
-
@fulltonon said:
