You have got to be kidding me right, like this is text book entitled killer. You baiting me man.

No, I’m not. I play 80% of my games as Survivor. It’s my preferred role, I’m just honest about NoEd. If I die due to it, it’a due to my teams inability or refusal to do totems.

The game provides multiple counters to NoEd, it’s just that the majority of Survivors are bad, which is why Solo is so frustrating. It has nothing to do with NoEd being OP or Killers being too strong (Except for Nurse/Spirit/Iridescent Huntress). The only OP thing that Killers need to have nerfed are Moris, which thankfully are being looked into.

I mean sure that is technically correct but if gens get powered and you haven't gotten any or only a few, hooks you are relying on survivors to mess up hard to make a comeback with or without noed. It only takes I think 16 seconds to open a gate and not much more time to run to one. So relying on noed is both a crutch and holding people back at the same time. Sure there are plenty of survivor crutch perks as well DS being the biggest offender, imo, but the difference is that there isn't a reason not to bring DS with how the game is played these days, noed on the other hand will likely only get you kills on people worse then you and will lose you the game against people better or even of similar skill as you.

Incorrect, NoEd has helped me kill people better than me, only because they get so confident that they forget it even exists. NoEd only works on Survivors that have tunnel vision and rush gens as fast as possible.

Totems are in the game for a reason - they’re a high risk high reward for both sides, though the reward is higher for Killers and the risk is greater for Survivors. Its fine if you don’t want to cleanse them, just don’t complain about it when it comes back to bite you in the ass when you chose to tunnel gens asap and ignore everything else.

I don’t believe NoEd is a crutch, and definitely nowhere near as a crutch as DS and Unbreakable. DS and Unbreakable reward Survivors for bad plays and punish Killers for playing well. The Killer basically has a lose/lose situation when those perks are in play, whereas NoEd is completely controlled by Survivors.

How can NoEd be a crutch perk when it actually makes the match more difficult for the Killer since they would essentially be playing with a three perk handicap throughout 90% of the match? It isn’t, it’s an endgame perk that Survivors forget about and aren’t willing to adapt to.

Even if the Killer only gets kills because of NoEd, it doesn’t mean they’re bad, it means anyone who falls to it is bad. For if the Killer was bad, the Survivors would have had plenty of time to cleanse totems throughout the match. If the Killer was too oppressive and you didn’t have time to cleanse, then the Killer was doing a good job and deserved to Kill you.

Uhh last I checked totems arent required to escape and a killer has lost if they don't protect gens, so wierd take here.

Incorrect, the Killer loses when the Survivors escape, not when the gens are completed.

Game is not over if gens get powered.

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1686788#Comment_1686788

It just means the survivor feels they can't escape due to oppressive killer, etc. A suicide also means player is not even having fun which is even worse.

Or it could mean they're just entitled and want an easy game.

  • I love farming with potatoes

I love being nice to Survivors as long as they're not toxic

I will show good sportsmanship to players who do so with me

I will show no mercy to obvious veteran players who know how to take me on a world tour of the map. If you have that much experience you don't need anything other than respect. No farm for you.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Now that is an eye opener for the devs to re-buff survivors and maps and nerf killer slowdown and aura perks. Those killrates are totally unacceptable!!

This doesn't tell you anything at all. For all we know 49 million of those kills could be Survivors killing themselves on first hook.

Because any time suggestions are made for buff solo then buff killer the suggestions to buff solo to account for information you'd gain with comms killers flip out even though they'd get buffs to balance out. Killers and survivors mains are obnoxious when any buffs get mentioned for the opposite side.

Maybe they flip out because they know that it will take the Devs forever to buff the Killers after Solo is buffed. Do you really think Killers would have fun playing against buffed Solo players while waiting to get buffed themselves? It took the Devs 4 years just to address the crappy maps that Survivors have been abusing since the start of the game. It took them the same amount of time just to make some Killers more balanced.

Playing Killer is frustrating enough, having to do it against buffed Solo Survivors will cause many to quit since we all know it’ll take forever for Killers to get in a good place afterwards.

  • @dugman said:

Swf isn’t cheating. Even the devs play in swfs in their streams, it’s clearly an intentional feature of the game that they expect a lot of people will play with their friends on comms.

If it was an intended feature of the game, the Devs should balance the game around Survivors having comms. Why haven’t they done that yet?

  • @JacobD said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/198430/noed-rework-idea

I get what you're going for and I agree that noed being a hex perk it needs to remain a strong option, but this change would only exacerbate the current problem that people have with noed, mainly being that you get the most use out of it for doing badly the majority of the game. This would be especially bad on killers that already have one shots like Billy and leather face. You'd have no way of knowing that noed was in effect and then all of a sudden your just getting mori'd at least with noeds current form, if your not on death hook or you have ds active, you have a chance to either get away or give your team time to find noeds totem. So I think that if they were to go through with this change it'd be an even worse situation then when they' changed ruin.

NoEd doesn’t reward bad Killers, it punishes lazy Survivors who don’t do anything but tunnel gens.

If the Killer was bad, it should have been easy for the Survivors to cleanse totems.

If the Killer was bad, it should be easy for the Survivors to rescue their teammate that has been downed by NoEd.

  • I’ve always wanted to be able to kick people in the head when they rush the hook with the Killer right behind them.

Sometimes they’ll go down as soon as they unhook me and the Killer is chill and let’s me t-bag the douchebag. It’s even sweeter when the Killer nods in approval and let’s me go.

  • I started playing doctor a lot these days so I don’t have this problem anymore.

Heck, if I see all blendy looking characters wearing dark clothes, I equip double red add-ons and offer a meat plant offering and make the scream all night long.

  • No.

    Just No.

NoEd is fine as is. If it is activated, the fault totally lies in the hands of the Survivors. They have the choice to rush gens and risk NoEd or JuSt Do BoNeS!

It’s not hard, and with the new undying/ruin meta, Survivors should bring in a map, Detectives Hunch or Small game.

Killers don’t have anywhere near as many second chance perks as Survivors do, stop trying to get them nerfed.

  • I'm not a Spirit main, but my experience from playing against them is that they love to rush the hook the second someone is unhooked. I think they just walk away, face the hook and have their finger ready on the trigger.

  • What do you mean as bad as? Looping is way worse!

  • @nam said:

Recently I watched some survivor-side streamers, my feeling is that, they always treat killers as fools. No matter how skilled or bad the killers are, these survivors always laugh at killers, just like playing killers is a fault. That reminds me of manythings.

All the killers have different things to learn. When players start a new killer, 3-escape or 4-escape is so common. In this case, most of the survivors would laugh at killers, in contrast to the fact that playing killers have so many technics to learn, while the survivors only need to hide well, and play gen-rush.

I think I play kind enough, when one survivor DC, I would play nice, when I got 3-kill against unskilled survivors, I always let the last one escape, if the opponent plays well, I will not hesitate my praise. But, at last, I got nothing. When I start to play nurse and spirit, when I lose badly, what I got is "You are really a joke". When I try interesting perks, I got "You should't take those perks, so you are bad". Even recently, in red rank, I always meet teams that want to bully me and treat me as fool.

Is playing survivor inherently superior to playing killer?

The salty survivors are immature children whose parents have failed them. Don't take what they say to heart, they're just lashing out because they're not used to the real world yet and think everything exists to serve them. You should feel bad for them because they're pathetic members of society who will probably never learn how to be productive or do anything beneficial with their lives.

Is the “add speedo Quentin” guy still around?

If not, he needs to be.

  • The problem is Solo. If they make gen times any longer than they are now, Solo would suffer and end up causing people to quit.

It sucks as Killer but there really isn't much they can do. I suggest you focus on the 3 gen strategy and protect them as much as you can.

Ignore endgame chat, you as a Killer are less than dirt to most SWF death squads, so nothing you say will be accepted by them. Not that you should try justifying yourself. Perks are in the game to be used.

They accused you of tunneling, so what? Is there a rule book from Behavior that dictates that "Killers shall not Tunnel"? With how fast gens pop, you have to. Especially since they're a SWF, they're usually altruistic and will throw the game to save their friend.

For me, personally, if all niceties go out the window once we are down to 2 gens. I will tunnel and proxy camp as much as I need to. And if I get you in the basement, gg. I know how to count to 15 so BT is a waste. I also know how to count to 60 so DS is a waste. Do what you must to win. Just be nice to obvious solo potatoes (me included), we're not all toxic, we just want to have fun too.

  • I love making Davids scream with Mr Doctor. I just love his yelling and grunts while I carry him.

NoEd(do bones) It is especially juicy when a toxic Survivor is t-bagging at the gate, just a little too far from the point of no return, giving me the ability to hook them.

As a Survivor, I love making Killers look for me and never finding me. I know many get mad but it is my preferred playstyle.

  • I also really like the Spirits Samurai set with the white hair. It's really nice, though the hair needs something...."more". I dunno, maybe if each strand had it's own red glow or some texture.

  • Claudettes pink winter hat with the ball on the top. She's so cute wearing it.

  • He should be able to throw daggers while he dashes like a ninja would with ninja stars.

People like to talk about letting survivors have fun and stuff like that based on some old unwritten code of conduct from the survivors handbook of petty. If I'm playing killer I am going to try and kill them and I am going to try and prevent generators from being fixed. I don't care how and I don't care how they feel (except for face camping). I don't care if they had fun, I only care that I had fun. Chasing the entire time and being bullied by swf friends isn't fun. Tea bagging because you made a pallet is fun for me. Clicking flashlights isn't fun for me. Watching everyone run out of the doors and talk trash to me even though I am new isn't fun for me (Rank 19 that got thrown in with a Rank 1,3,3,5. I had literally only played the game for like 3 hours). It is hard enough with gen slowdown unlocked not to mention not having it at all.

The only thing I don't agree with is face camping. Don't hook someone then stand in front of them until they die. It is one thing to be roaming around the general area when you know the other survivors are there but to just stand there and wait is just wrong. I did it once during the rift to kill my final obsession for a task. I felt like ######### doing it and let the rest of the team finish all the gens and just leave and apologized to the person I camped and told them why.

Face camping is okay when you do it to someone that you caught after a long toxic chase. I did it the other day to a Dwight who loved to vault spam non stop just to annoy me and get me to chase him. He wanted my attention and I gave it to him. But rather than face him, I stood next to him facing away from the hook so he could see my face as the entity took him.

I will do the same to anyone who t-bags and points every time they get a pallet stun on me. Like, yeah, I know, you got me, you don't have to rub it in, but if you insist, I will do the same.

I have been using Mad Grit + Agitation + Iron Grasp nonstop for quite a while for the memes. It is so fun chasing a Survivor while carrying another Survivor.

I love it so much! I need to use that combo! It may not win you very many games, but it sure as hell beats sweating your butt off. I just wish more Survivor Backpacks would realize I am meme-ing and stop struggling.

  • @Shallgale said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1660972#Comment_1660972

Not true, the best way to make this stop would be to simply make it so a survivor's health doesn't decrease on first hook when the killer is within a certain proximity to a survivor. For example if they do it within the parameters that they already have for level 1 kindred (8 meters) or even if they did it for half (4 meters) that would prevent camping. Because it would force a killer to leave a hooked survivor to actually... you know.... play the game.

Camping is playing the game, just not how you want them to play. They still have to defend it from your teammates, and be honest, it isn't the campers fault that it works, it's the Survivors since they keep feeding him.

Stopping the health bar wouldn't work for all situations. What will happen if a Killer manages to hook a Survivor near a gate when all gens are powered and their teammates keep running the Killer around the hook?

I would rather that the Devs upgrade the entity and have it teleport Survivors to a random hook after their first hook and only if there are 3 or more gens left.

  • When playing against her, my only complaint is why does no one crouch when I unhook them??!

Survivors have this mentality that they should be able to play the exact same way against all Killers, which is ridiculous. That’s why there are so many calls for nerfing Killers.

When playing as her, it’s fun if you control your web and don’t get lured into a long chase. It’s a pain in the ass when I’m facing an elite death squad SWF, since they all know how to loop perfectly and usually have flashlights.

You, sir, have just spoiled the next Killer's power for everyone.

I hope you're happy with yourself.

I did the same with Death Slinger! Everyone was discussing what they wanted before his reveal and I mentioned we need a Scorpion from Mortal Kombat type to reel in Survivors! Maybe I did it again.

You could just let them roll off of your shoulder while you keep going. Instead they get dropped almost gently. Why would the killer baby them this way. Dropping them shouldn't have a delay in movement.

Killers should be able to hold Survivors by one of their ankles and swing their bodies around like a rag doll instead of using a weapon.

  • @Heartbound said:

You know, one thing I never, ever see mentioned is how survivors thank you after the match. I play Trapper/Myers a lot and it's not uncommon to see names like Chokememyers or some variation pop up in my lobbies. (this moderately/tremendously increases my chances of running tombstone/tuft btw)

I get this a lot too. Yeah you get the occasional "gg" but when it's just PC players all playing together having a good time ya'll are a flirty bunch. It's like you survivors enjoy getting spanked, picked up and penetrated (on a hook). No wonder survivor is so popular.

The next killer is just gonna be an old, normal guy with a water hose that sprays you with cold water.

    ...now queue back up.

Honestly, I respond to them this way in hopes to put a smile on their face. I only thank Daddies and Mommies when they had a good game and weren’t toxic at all.

Yes, there is sexual innuendo, but it’s more for humor rather anything else (Unless it’s a Hospital Gown Meyers, those legs deserve all kinds of praise).

Felix and the buttercake are what he's stepping on....cause that's how Daddy rolls...🌈

Oh em gee, I’m all hot and bothered now. It’s probably a good thing this isn’t a cosmetic in the game, I’d literally throw myself at him and ruin the match for everyone.

  • Well, now that you’re making me wait, you must compensate me for my time. I request a shirtless picture of Felix and a slice of butter cake since I’m hungry.

  • It would be courteous if you to provide a picture since not everyone plays Minecraft.

  • Well, they’re taking too long! As a form of good will to their fan base, the Devs should give us a Shirtless Meyers cosmetic to hold us over and keep us engaged.

  • I want:

A witches outfit for Claudette. Long striped socks, pointy hat, fake green nose, flowing cape, a cackling emote, and a flying broom that she rides on instead of running.

A Glenda the Good Witch cosmetic for Nea. Big fluffy dress, crown and magic wand with a star on the top. I want her facial expression to reflect the displeasure that she is feeling due to being forced to wear it.

All the male Survivors should have a penguin tuxedo with top hats and monocles.

A shirtless, maskless, pre-corruption Trapper cosmetic.

A shirtless Clown cosmetic. He should be wearing rainbow swimming shorts and have a pool unicorn floaty around his waist.

I want a 70s disco outfit for Claudette. I want her to have a nice rainbow Afro, bell bottoms, and a shiny silvery tank top.

Actually if they buff Camaraderie to where it paused the hook as long as the killer is there that's all the payback I need.

Will never happen since Survivors would abuse it.

  • He is an anti-stealth M1 Killer. Against a team who knows how to decently loop, and not get greedy with pallets, he isn't much different from an uncloaked Wraith.

He is top tier against potatoes though. He is my choice when I am feeling nice and want to troll or meme.

  • I was going to type up an argument to counter your claims, but then realized you're a biased Survivor main and wouldn't listen to reason.

  • I love it when my opponents meme. Whether they make a conga line and walk around the map until I find them, or a Dweet playing peek-a-boo from behind a window.

I really love it when someone edges towards me by repeatedly pressing "W" in response to me doing it first. It just shows we just wanna have fun.

  • I suffered on this map with Doctor the other day. Survivors just have too many strong things to work with. My only option was to proxy camp at 1 gen. Got so much salt.

  • @Almo said:

Huge portions of the game are balanced around the asymmetry of the cameras. It would almost be like making an entirely new game to rebalance it if Survivors were suddenly first person.

It might be amusing for a few games, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work very well long-term. :)

Can you suggest to the Devs that they do a Halloween Event Mode one year where there is an optional game mode where Survivors can play in first person vs Michael Meyers? You guys can standardize the perks yourselves so you can balance things more easily.

  • That’s my face when playing Killer and two Survivors run up to me clicking the flashlights while moonwalking.

It’s also the same face I get when a Killer first hook Moris while we still have 5 gens.

  • @Hoodied said:

I really don’t feel like repeating myself but I will

Devs are looking into moris at the moment, they are harder to balance than you think as the “2 hook then mori” will make them useless

I disagree. 2 hook Moris would allow you to bypass DS. It’ll be better if they removed the mori offering and just made it basekit if they go this route.

I get you're memeing, but Agitation is way better than Iron Grasp

Probably, but I use iron grasp a lot when I meme with my Killers because I like to pair it with Mad Grit and run around with my Survivor back pack wildly swinging away with my weapon. It’s so nice when I actually get a Survivor who realizes I’m messing around and stops struggling.

  • @sulaiman said:

I just would like the same rules would also apply to survivors. Like, if the killer chases you away from a gen, you are not allowed to come back to it, unless you worked on another gen first. I mean, the survivors objective is to do 5 gens, not just one, so they should spread that out, shouldnt they?

Yet, noone seems to play by such a rule. I wonder why...

Actually, I may be the only one that does this, but if a Killer shows me pity early in the match, due to realizing I have potato (or douche bag) teammates, and goes out of the way to avoid me, I will go to the basement at the end of the match and let them kill me.

I had a Ghostface who was chasing a Cheryl to my hook. She unhooked me in front of him and I just stood there like, okay Mr Ghostface, hook me again so I could leave this crap group behind. He stopped, looked at me, and then turned around and went after the Cheryl. I let him kill me at the end and enjoyed doing so.

But yea, I agree with your sentiments. Survivors have no right to complain about getting tunneled when they don’t offer the same sportsmanship. They do everything in their power to win, why shouldn’t the Killer?

  • Self Care

You spawn a tub filled with soapy water and take some “you” time in order to relax and wind down after a long day of first hook mori matches.
