Well isnt resident evil's games from a big company? They did a similar game to Dbd and It died.
That was more of an afterthought for Capcom. They didn’t really go all out with it. We need someone with deep pockets and passionate developers to really compete and base their whole game around the concept of 1vs4.
-
It’s not the licensed characters that make the game, it’s the gameplay. I have more fun with the original Killers vs their licensed Killers.
If a good gaming studio came out with a competing game with a different theme, and did their best to make it engaging and fun, Dbds days would be numbered.
It doesn’t have to be horror, it just needs to be well thought out and properly executed.
-
I’m honestly hoping a large company decided that they like the concept of DbD and competes with it. It doesn’t even have to be horror, they can just make it a game of tag and hide and seek. It would be nice if Epic or the newly founded company made up of old Blizzard developers were to do so.
It would be nice to not have to worry about spaghetti code and have the developers actually give back to the player base.
Epic gave out free V-bucks in fortnite that let me purchase their season pass and continue to earn them in order to purchase the next pass and they all had nice rewards (unlike the lackluster and empty rift). I also like how they constantly change things up with their environments and keep things interesting.
Blizzard just did really well with holiday events in general and over all cared about the community (Until it became ActiBlizzturd).
Maybe the competition would fuel Behavior to do better and offer more.

It is my opinion that the killer will usually lose if he is matched w similar skilled survivors.
The survivors skills needs to be slightly lower than the killer for the killer to have a chance.
Also, I feel ur pain. I use to be a "good" killer when I started off but I got bullied and got all kinds of insult. It's 1 vs 4 not just in game play, but also the psychological and emotional aspect as well.
Now if I'm playing killer, I don't let anyone go. I kill everyone. No giving hatch, nothing.
The only time I let a survivor go is when the survivor is a obvious noob potato who is lost in the sauce w 1 perk. Than I go out of my way to let him go.
Especially the good Loopers who taunts u on purpose., I'll facecamp if I have to but the best jukers deserve death w their 1000 hr experience.
When I get facecamped, I'm totally fine. Kindred and camaderie helps a lot. I have a thick skin. Have to do yoga and maintain steady breathing. Take some anti stress pills.
Nah, I feel like is a Killer is against equal skill, they should always end up with 2 Kills. We can agree to disagree on it though.
Now when I play Killer, I play in hopes I get put against potatoes so I could end up meme-ing and farm with them. I have more fun running around the map acting silly, harassing people with my doctor without hitting them just to see how long it takes them to realize I don’t want to hurt them.
But if I realize they’re good players, I will camp and tunnel when I have to. I don’t care if they think it’s “scummy”, it’s not my problem that the gens go by way too fast. I should be able to use fun perks like Agitation and Mad Grit to have a good time rather than bandaid perks to slow down the game.
Survivor mains think it’s ok for them to be as efficient as possible and use every tool that they can, but God forbid a Killer do that! Oh noes! That’s toxic!
I need to find a new hobby, maybe I’ll win the lotto tonight and move away to a nice place with water and learn how to swim and scuba dive!
-
Just stop playing the game until they fix it. If it’s as bad as you say it is, it’s not worth the attempt to play it. Plenty of other games to play until these devs get their act together.

Especially if he plays on the PS4. PS4 desperately needs more killers.
I really hate crossplay. It really broke matchmaking. But it did help survivor queues on the PS4.
I like playing Killer, but the game is just too unfriendly towards casual Killer players. Getting looped around the same obstacles three times by a Survivor who knows what they’re doing just is rather boring, especially with lower tiered Killers.
Then, when you manage to do well, you get insulted by your opponent. They don’t care you were using non-meta perks, brown add-ons or playing an M1 Killer with no map pressure.
Granted, not all games feel like that, but with how matchmaking works, lots of them do. There is no protection in place for Killers to be matched with similar skilled Survivors. A guy can only take so much.

@SleepyWillo said:
As for the event "bias": The anniversary event required killers to enter a match, grab a crown and done. Survivors had to get a crown, glow for the rest of the match, and escape. Where was your "bias" claims then?
As for "meta perks": PHs zoning was an issue. I have no comments on the changes so far as I Want to get a few more games with him before judging but its not THAT bad.
Pop "nerf" wasnt really a nerf. It went halfway between the OG Pop and the modified one. I see no changes and cant imagine a scenario where a killer NEEDS those 15 seconds.
Cant really change meta survivor perks as they are bandaid fixes to bad game mechanics... Though I will give you OoO...
Devs required Survivors to escape because Survivors are known to dc from a match at the drop of a hat. If they allowed the Survivors to acquire the cosmetic in their inventory the moment they got it in-game, many would have dc’d just to move on and collect it in their alts. Therefore, it had nothing to do with bias on the Devs part and everything to do with the entitlement that many Survivors have.

I wanna be a Kraken ;_;

No, it doesn't need a rework.
It needs to be removed from the game and replaced with a completely different perk.

So, if you come across a piggy who is repetedly growling/snarling but not attacking, (low ranks) please help a piggy out. I just need a few hooks.
Thank you!
Let me boop the snoot and Ill happily let you hook me twice. Do a little dance for me and you can hook me thrice.
-
Nah, even with an obsession they tunnel. Just had a huntress tunnel a feng right at the start of the match with 5 gens up. She used her DS and still got tunneled and gave up. I ended up letting her hook me and suiciding to the next match. You want a fast game and low points, Ill give you one.

I actually went for the attempt, I only got about 3 downs and 3 hooks that match cause every time I would get remotely near the OoO all of them would run away
Yea, I’d rather go make a sandwich for my next match while they could tunnel gens.

I have had games where I dealt with OoO on midwich
Was not fun
If I get that, and I sense they’re a pro SWF death squad, I just go stand in the basement. It just not worth the headache.
-
@Hoodied said:
Midwich, the map that is so bad that it sucks for both killer and survivor, would like to have a word with you
I had a match where one turd used and offering to go to Midwich last night. I wasn’t looking to go all out and wanted to farm but as soon as I saw that offering, everything changed and I was seeing red.
I Killed them all and gave them no chances. Oh, you were unhooked recently? I DONT CARE YOU WILL SUFFER!!!!!!RaWr!
I kinda felt bad during the end game screen because it turns out they were baby low ranks and the one who gave the offering probably liked Silent Hill, but my hate for that map outweighs my guilt.

I enjoy Doctor. I’m not good with him, and lose a lot to decent Survivors, but I still have fun making people scream. I love hearing David’s scream over and over.

@MadLordJack So you didn't read the post, or what do you mean?
They mean that they’re too lazy to count to five while cleansing totems and refuse to give up one of their precious meta perks in order to help them.
I agree with some of what you wrote. I disagree with the totem counter. Hexes are high risk, high reward. Part of that risk is the “unknown/uncertainty” of whether or not you have cleansed all totems. A totem counter would be a nerf to hexes in general.
It would be akin to Killers getting a timer every time someone has Borrowed Time or DS active. Survivors would melt down if that would be implemented, because Killers are not supposed to be sure that enough time has passed.
As for Undying, I think that if they change it to where the Aura reveal only works on active totems would be fine.

Had one spawn with three jungle gyms and 15 pallets. They did something. I've depipped and been run silly every time I've gotten one tonight.
Me too! I thought I was going crazy for a sec but the map just seemed a lot stronger today. I ended up getting discouraged and stood in the basement the last round I was there.
Seems like my next vacay from Dbd is fast approaching.
-
Unless you're up against a Doctor, all you have to do is stealth at the start of the match and cleanse totems.
-
It's okay, I will bully them for you.
But I will only bully toxic Survivors who t-bag or point at me after pallet stunning me.
I will also bully OoO users as well as flashlight users because I hate getting blinded.
I will not bully baby potatoes tho.
-
Hi Mushwin, I was just thinking that I haven't seen you posting in a while!
I actually regret all of my prestige efforts. I don't like the bloody cosmetics and I would have been better spending the blood points on red add-ons for my Killers or maps for my Survivors.
If they would make the Prestige rewards cooler, such as Killer masks and outfits for Survivors and vice versa, I'd prestige all of my characters.

after those 2 shall it be Doctor and Clown, they both have antiloop powers too afterall.
I hope not. Doctor is in a decent place. Against decent, not swf death squad, just decent Survivors, he's just an m1 Killer with anti stealth.
-
Well, they only made him strong in order to get sales. Now that sales of him have probably died down, the mighty nerf hammer has been brought down upon him.
Its one of the reasons I only purchase things with shards and spend no money.
-
They could implement unique dance animations for Survivors and require them to dance in order to power up the generator. Pushing different keys would make them do different dance moves and chaining together the moves in a stylish order could cause the progress to quicken.
Thats all I got from the top of my head.

Half of them are playing Spirit now because she's the strongest killer that you can play braindead. Jumped ship as soon as they heard "Overheat" as "nerf".
I play a lot in the evenings and I don’t see much of either Spirit or Hillbilly. I’m not complaining though, most were just hook tunnelers and wanted the game done in 3 minutes.
Ive mainly seems lots of Legion, Doctors, some Trappers and a sprinkling of Piggies and Onii-Chan’s here and there.
-
Put on the hospital gown and continuously vault a window. Survivors will flock to your legs and make you goal much more achievable.
On a more serious note, sorry, I got nothing.
-
Nope, the penalties are one of the best things the Devs have implemented. It's okay for the few to suffer in order for the majority to have good games.

@PigMainClaudette said:
This seems more like a matchmaking issue than smurfing. I have smurf accounts, but one's for the Rank 20 friend I rarely play with and the other is because I'm bored of getting smashed by rank 1's against teams that are at 5 or less.
If they are a true smurf account, then they generally have weaker perks due to not having teachables available.
It is equally both. Matchmaking should never match low skill players versus high skill players. Players, Killers nor Survivors, should be able to de-rank more than 4 ranks from their highest. I would go so far as to say that ranking should also take into account the amount of time someone has invested into the game.
-
@th3 said:

When a player intentionally de-ranks in order to stomp on lowbie players. It is very common in video games.

If the endgame chat is bothersome to you, you can always just hit the continue button before it even pops up. Better yet, give an option for people to opt out.
And while they're at it, they can fix it so it syncs properly, right now you don't see any messages that happened before you yourself entered the chat server, so you often miss out on some entertaining conversations, and sometimes even whether someone said "gg" or not. I watched a VOD of one of my killer matches and even though I'm the killer so I'm last out, I apparently typed "gg" too fast and it never appeared in their chat.
I'm on PC and I can opt out, but I don't because I enjoy the rare occasions were we have a good conversation. I just don't want to see more trash talk than I already do. I have a feeling there are many, many more children playing this game on console than there are on PC.
-
No thanks. I get enough trash talk and insults from angry Survivors from the PC players, I don't need it from console players too.
Now go make me some macaroni.

Claudette. Most Claudette players that I've met are either extremely toxic or total potatoes, which is really sad cause her lore states that she's an inteligent and shy girl.
She's my favorite character and it pains me that she gets so much hate. I understand it, especially how toxic people can be with her, but I still think shes the best Survivor.
On topic, it would have to be Laurie if it means their perks go too. If not, then Ash, he's so annoying.
-
I'm happy no one said Michael. He is one of the few that can make me have a mini-stroke.
If I had to choose, it would be a tie between Spirit and Freddy. I've had loads of games where all they do is tunnel hooks and it gets old after a while.
I have no problem with Hag, she can be annoying, but what I would rather delete are potato red rank Survivors who should be yellow rank. They just don't know what crouching is. It's so aggravating.

Yes, I will tunnel and camp a turd teammate. I once had someone point to a locker to expose their teammate. They thought they were in my good graces, just didn’t expect me to drop the person that was in the locker and proceed to tunnel and camp the betrayer.

5 blinks base, 115% movement speed, the ability to fake her ability next patch.
I’m not a Nurse player at all, but I’d give her a shot if they’d remove her screen darkening after her blinks and fix her bugs.

Though The Evil Within, Outlast, and Resident Evil all have other characters that would probably be good fits too (or work as Legendary skins for existing survivors).
Oh, I’d love it if Capcom would let Behavior use Claire Redfield from Resident Evil: Code Veronica. It was my first horror game and I loved it so much, even though I generally hate horror.

A Supernatural DLC pack with Sam and Dean Winchester as survivors. (And a Demon as the killer. Maybe the Bunker as the map?)
No, no more indoor maps please. Midwich is enough for a good long while.
I do like the Winchester’s as Survivors, but I’d really like a de-powered Castiel.
Killer could be a weakened Lucifer stuck in a mortal shell.
-
It depends on their behavior. If they’re respectable, I wouldn’t mind playing against them.
If they’re the type to t-bag, vault spam to get my attention, pallet stun me and point at me to say “ha ha” or try their hardest to be annoying, then no, I don’t t like playing against them. Luckily, these types always try to rescue their friends so camping and slugging are very effective vs them.
-
SpineChill, Urban Evasion, Plunderers, Self Care.
I only solo and this serves me well to stay under the radar and do objectives since more often than not, everyone else are hook rushing or hiding.

Y'all act like the game is unbalanced towards you killers when survivors are SWF but no, the game is balanced around SWF, solo queue is just incredibly unbalanced for survivors and needs Comms or something because it's already an awful experience.
The game is definitely not balanced around SWF, if it was communication would have been built in from the beginning.

I'd love Sebastian Castellanos from The Evil Within as a Survivor.
He's kinda a stereotypical hard boiled detective, but I just love him. We went through some tense and frustrating times together in The Evil Within.
It'd be fun bumping into him as Killer, tbagging and toxic person playing as him or no.
-
If we're taking Survivors we'd like to kill I wouldn't mind having any of the Scream cast.
Even the first movie went on a bit too long and far with being meta for me, but at least it had a couple really cool sequences (the intro scene is one of the best scenes in horror film IMO). The rest were just bad and leaned way too much into the whole meta angle. They also helped start an, also IMO, annoying trend of 'self aware' horror movies that worry too much about being meta and messing with your expectations.
Being able to murder the heck out of a Dewey, Gale, or Sidney, provided they looked legally distinct enough from their respective actors, might be cathartic.
My original intention was to see who Killers would love to Kill, but I wasn’t clear enough (it was before bed, when I’m usually mentally slower). It worked out though, there are some interesting choices here.

John Constantine. If you've ever read a Hellblazer comic, you probably know why.
I never read the comics, but I really enjoyed the Keanu Reeves film and would love to have a Survivor modeled after him. I’m pretty sure he’d be down to be in this game too!
I also like the guy who portrayed him in the show that got cancelled far too soon.
-
It is mandatory for you to drop every pallet you come across as soon as you see it.

- Buff blindness, because SWF makes it invalid.
- A secondary objective (not totems) for better gen speeds.
- Exhaustion causes louder breathing.
- Weaker killers buffed to Freddy/blights level.
That's about it, this would help balance out the game a lot more in my opinion.
I like this.
I would add Whispers and Spies from the Shadows to be made baseline for Killers only if Devs give Survivors more baseline communication/aura abilities.

I haven't heard anything about it, but it is statistically better for you to leave them.
Unless they have Unbreakable, that will be three people not doing gens, since on of them has to pick the guy up off the ground. It IS really annoying, but yeah, leave them and pressure the others.
I don't care to play Killer competitively anymore, its too stressful for me. I rather play for fun and to meme around with potato Survivors and make Davids repeatedly scream with my Doctor. I usually over do it with the screaming let everyone go after two hooking them and let them farm a bit. But my niceness ends when someone wants to be a turd.
