Recently, I've picked up Hag once again to play her instead of Nurse (Because Nurse is extremely broken and becoming stale). However, almost every match now I'm getting DC's, people complaining that Hag should be reworked, and people accusing me of using the scroll wheel to get easy downs (I use E). What's so wrong with Hag that I get MORE hate from playing her than I do on Nurse?

Because a good Hag can’t be looped for 5 gens. Anything that stops Survivors from being able to loop or toy with the Killer is deemed unfun for them. It is why they hate camping so much.

In order to be considered fun, you have to conform to their arbitrary rules and let them all escape.

  • Claudette is bae.

  • Why would you want to play anyone other than Claudette in the first place? She’s the best! Especially with her cute winter hat!

  • I’m hoping the next chapter introduces a bug breaks Bing bong Boi and allows him to attack while invisible! He and Trappi Boi have been neglected for far too long.

So I am a survivor main. Recently started doing killer. Today alone I was called a FA*** and a N****. I didnt tunnel, camp, even was giving last person hatch. One person said gg ez get fkd... the other threw racial and homophobic slurs my way (2 seperate games) i dont get it... i play fair i just want to have fun... why the toxicity? It stopped for awhile but seems to be ramping up again. I stream now (with ttv in my name) so maybe that has something to do with it?

    Welcome to the forums.

Toxic players are not a new phenomenon. Where there are video games, so too will there be toxic people. It would be best that you never take it to heart and just ignore it. Make sure you report anyone who says anything excessive such as racist or homophobic slurs. The game will send a chat log as evidence and they will hopefully get a vacation.

I have gotten to the point that I actually enjoy the salt. I like to imagine a prepubescent teen behind the monitor, raging and crying about how their opponent didn't follow their made up rules. So if they start off toxic, I respond with ggez over and over. It's super effective.

  • Why can fun stuff like this happen to me when I play dbd. I mean, even getting stuck on a roof or tree would be entertaining.

  • Trappy Boi would be great! He should be able to set traps on the stage and throw them at his opponents faces. His specialty move would be grabbing his opponents ankle and slamming their body into near by traps.

  • I tried it on my phone and was like meh.

I think Dbd is the most fun game I have played in a long time. I just wish it had competition so I could play it in different flavors.

Definitely Shonen Jump. This or Nintendo works best.

    THIS!

Let me fight as Itachi at full strength!

Let me beat up Sauske over and over!

  • I was referring to the toxicity that will come your way from Survivors. But since you mentioned that you've experienced it, and have blocked communication with them, you're good!

As for Whispers, I find that you need to look as far in front of you as you can while you patrol, so the second it comes on, you can kind of pinpoint the area the Survivor is in. Try using it with the Doctors perk, Monitor and Abuse. It shrinks your terror radius, allowing you to get closer to Survivors before they notice you're there.

Even if you struggle with it, it will prevent you from wasting time on generators that don't have anyone near them, and it will tell you which gate Survivors are near during endgame. Make sure that you point down when searching behind trees, one thing you have to get used to is your cameras perspective really gives Survivors an edge in the game, and you have to play around it.

When I play Survivor, many times, I have been able to lose a Killer by running up to a wall, pass it to leave scratch marks in one direction, come back to the wall, crouch behind it at the edge, and wait for the Killer to pass by. As soon as they pass by, I move to the other side of the wall and sneak off in the other direction. I giggle when I seem the check the locker and walk around the obstacle looking for me and I am safely behind a tree. So when ever you come to a wall, or even vault a window, make sure to check if the Survivor is trying to pull a sneaky one on you.

When facing players with Dead Hard, I recommend that you bait it out. I find that many times, if you just quickly move your camera up then down, they will think you're about to attack. If you're playing Wraith, you can just trick them by ringing your bell once.

If someone is recently unhooked and they run in your face, count down to 15(or 20, i forget the timer) before hitting them so you don't give them a speed boost since they most likely have Borrowed Time. Then slug them so they can keep the dirt company for a while.

If you see a flashlight, do your best to pick people up while facing walls, and immediately look up to avoid the blind.

Finally, don't get too upset or discouraged when gens go flying. The current meta encourages gen rush and make it almost impossible to 3 hook everyone. If you think you have to tunnel or slug, do so, they are legitimate strategies, and not employing them will cause you to not get any hooks against semi-experienced Survivors. I'm not saying do it from the start, but if they throw themselves at you before you could leave the hook, don't feel bad.

Ahh, no wonder why my games suck besides the obvious fact of me being inexperienced.

Thank you for this! I'm actually writing this down. ^.^

I like how happy you seem. I hope playing Killer doesn't ruin you.

  • I don't consider myself a good Killer, but I don't consider myself bad either. I am just average.

My crutch perk as Killer is Whispers. It lets me know survivors are around so I don't have to waste time looking in deserted areas. I really wish this would be made baseline for Killers.

You say you play Huntress, well Iron Maiden is decent for her. I can't play her since I am terrible with hatchets, but I am pretty sure that opening lockers faster will help you over all. It will also help discourage Survivors from hiding in lockers.

If you're good with your hatchets at long distances, BBQ+Chili would help you with blood points and tell you where Survivors are, possibly letting you get a hit off from across the maps.

As a baby killer, you are required to run NoEd. Gens go so fast these days, Survivors forget about totems about 9 out of 10 games. It may not give you a Kill, but its snowball potential is good.

Not a perk, but don't be afraid to camp if you have to. Once they're down to two gens left, if you have one on a hook, close to three gens, don't leave the area. You can protect the three gens while also securing a Kill. If they manage to rescue, you should be able to have them trade places.

Pop goes the weasel is good to consider as well. Try to always keep the three closes gens protected throughout the match. When they have one gen left, protect the three grouped up gens and regress them as much as possible. This strategy works really will with Trapper, Hag and Doctor, especially if you run Ruin and you get fortunate enough for the totem to spawn between the three.

One bit of advice I will give you is, don't fall for chasing someone who wants you to chase them. If they tbag, flashlight click, or vault spam over and over, they want your attention so they could loop you to kingdom come. Act like you're going to chase them and break off and aim for the weakest link. Maps are designed to give Survivors the advantage in a chase and decent Survivors can loop you for 5 gens.

Expect lots of salt. Many times, no matter how nice you play or if you do things out of desperation, you will get insulted. Heck, if you never tunnel or camp, and 3 hook everyone, you will still find someone that will insult you or tell you to ######### or some such. Ignore it, they're just angry teenagers who can't cope with life.

  • The more Killers quit, the more the Devs would be inclined to make the role more enjoyable in order to make sure Survivors don't have long wait times. So thank you for doing your part.

  • @Raccoon said:

    Sometimes I know he's down there.....BUT I GOTTA CHECK!

    @_@

Can't you like sneak down there, climb up the wall and approach from the ceiling? He'll never see it coming.

  • I like both roles but play Survivor a lot more. I usually switch to Killer when I get tired of getting paired up with potatoes or ultra tryhard flashlight clicking follow around the Killer going down in 2 seconds Survivors.

I will always prefer Survivor because I like working with others in video games and I really like playing stealthily against a Killer. I know people hate it, but it still gives me a semblance of fear and horror that I got when I first started playing the game. I also love meme'ing with a Killer and always get a hoot when they meme in return.

As a camping Bubba regular player, I've 4k'd 10s of games in a row without even depipping at rank 1. It's actually (and camping in general) is a good strategy, atleast in public matches, regardless of what you'll hear. There are so many factors going in to it that make it hard to counter, and if the survs aren't a 4 man premade their chances of finishing all the gens are, in my experience atleast, very low.

    Here's some of my takes on why this strategy works so well;

If you get the first down early, there will be 2 gens left by the time that guy is dead and you have your second victim, assuming nobody saves, then you just run NOED (which is uncounterable, the survs physically don't have the time to cleanse totems) if all the gens get done. I generally get more aggressive after the first surv is dead though.

If anyone goes for the save, that's probably gg. There are many reasons to go for the save, you may not know Bubba is there, you may want the BP, you don't want to just pump out gens because it's boring - if you're not on comms, it's really punishing, even lets say you go to the hook, see bubba, then leave - now your teammate does the same wondering why nobody saves, that's so much time wasted. Also, If anyone attempts escape even once, that's potentially game losing, those 20 seconds are absolutely crucial.

You may also down someone near a gen with significant progress, this will enable you to camp and regress that generator - this essentially adds a 6th gen to the game, with both the survivor's loss of progress, and requirement to go away and start a new gen. Very good to buy time.

It's essentially a strat that punishes the lack of comms, and requires a lot of variables to go in your favour to win against. Even as a camping Bubba main, last time I went against a camping Bubba, playing 3 man swf with a fellow camping Bubba main with 4k+ hrs and another guy with 5k hrs - we still got 4k'd. One of my friends went down, and the random went in to save and died, getting hooked, because they didn't know Bubba was there. NOED then got Bubba the 4k even though we did the gens as fast as possible. I've also played vs 4 mans with thousands of hours myself who tried to do the gens and still lost cause of NOED. But the main reason for that is they greed and go down fast, the early down is crucial.

So the obvious thing to do vs this strategy is rush gens never save, right? But the actual most important factor is the time it takes Bubba to get his first down. If you play super safe, using every pallet in the map inefficiently, it'll be 1-2 kills max. This is the biggest factor in whether you can win or not, and a long first chase, whether that's because the surv was good or just predropped every pallet, is the main cause of defeat. Problem with that ofc, you can't pre-emptively know the Bubba will camp, you'd just have to guess or figure it out. I'd say a good sign a Bubba won't camp is if they're using a gen perk like corrupt/ruin, most camping Bubbas will have Insidious+NOED always, then the other two are generally a mixture of carrying perks (Agi/Iron Grasp) and a chase perk (very likely Bamboozle).

This is making me want to purchase Bubby Boi. It sounds more entertaining to watch Survivors come to their deaths like moths to a flame than it is to get looped around the same structures 3x and then led to another tile with the use of Dead Hard. Only problem is, I don't trust the Devs to not nerf Bubby's camping potential in the future.

Haha joke is on you...i am the rare piggy who gladly eats ds for lunch! I will pick you up eat that ds and if u touch my snoot i will have to keep putting traps on your head.

No matter, my tongue is very dexterous and lengthy. I will be able to accomplish the lick before the stun runs out, irregardless of the trap.

Fare warning, do not underestimate my powers of blending. One day, you may just walk upon a bush that moistens your glorious snoot, only to realize it wasn't a bush, but then it would have been too late. Muahahahahaha.

  • I say Claudette because she's my favorite character and I don't want her to suffer. I hope that one day she ascends to Supreme Coalesce and become undetectable to anyone, allowing her to even walk by the Entity without ever being noticed, and slipping out of its realm.

Now, for a Survivor that I can't stand, it used to be Jake, but Ash and Nancy are tied for the position now. Ash is just annoying, and Nancy has a look of disdain that aggravates me.

I refuse as my snoot is sacred to me. And you will still get the blade. And ima throw in a head trap just for trying to touch my snoot.

Well then, I will have to equip DS for the first time, lure you to pick me up, stun you for 5 seconds and lick your glorious snoot. My death would be worth it.

I am a pig main and I do not play boop the snoot you will in fact get the blade. I actually rarely ever get anybody to try it though.

You can be a nice piggy and let me boop the snoot and then penetrate my body with your blade.

  • I’d rather just bring a mori in every time I suspect a SWF death squad. It’s easier with crossplay now because I’m on PC and can tell if they’re all PC users, and odds are they’re all friends.

I will also ignore the OoO user because they’re usually the strongest loopers, and just tunnel the weakest link out of the game. They obviously don’t care about me having fun so I’m not going to care about theirs.

If they’re all good loopers, I’m just gonna go stand in the basement and not let them get any points from me. I kinda wish I owned bubba just so I can camp them if they’re foolish enough to come down there, since they normally do and try to taunt me.

New killer, played 1 game and turned it off. Want me to get better, or invest more time? Stop putting my level 18 killer in with a boosted level 2, and a smurf 16, and smurf 18. They actually admitted it after the game. They were playing on new accounts to lay a whooping on new killers.

Thankfully I am a red rank survivor and figured these a-holes out within a few minutes. Managed 6 hooks. But going up against that crap just sucks. I really feel bad for new players.

This is why I don’t feel bad when I tunnel or camp good players. They intentionally derank to take advantage of weaker Killers, I’ll take advantage of their altruism and not give a damn about their feelings.

They're never going to focus on game health over chapter releases, Mainly because money.

But also because in my opinion no matter how much work they do in those months without releases bugs will just come right back when the next updates come, That's one thing they're very consistent with sadly.

It'd just end up being a huge loss in revenue to hold off bugs till a later date.

It’s possible that the player count will drop, especially for console and its poor optimization, that it would force them to focus on the health of the game.

I don’t see it happening anytime soon, but it is possible.

Why does DS need a nerf again?

The other day I was playing Doctor with my meme build since I like to two hook potatoes and let them farm while play semi-serious versus good survivors.

I hooked someone, got into another chase, finally managed to hook them while their friend came to unhook in my face. I let the recently hooked person go, and went after the unhooker. Downed them pretty fast since I already hit them once while they were unhooking. I then proceeded to pick them up and got hit by DS.

I didn’t tunnel, I just played well, why should I be punished with a 5 second stun and a lengthened chase?

I then ended up killing the DS user and farmed with everyone else.

  • I activate cloaked mode and become one with nature. I will save only save if I am safe to do so, I will work on gens if I know for sure the Killer is in a chase or if I have enough cover near by to sneak away if needed. Hope that Plunderers pulls through for me and gives me a key and then I would watch them potatoes roast on the hooks.

Now, if I am worst one on the team, I will sacrifice myself for the good looper and do whatever I can to save them.

If there is no choice and everyone is hiding, I will locker spam in the basement to have the Killer come send me to the next match.

  • A Ghostface managed to pull me off a gen while I had Spinechill equipped. He had to have moonwalked or aimed away from the gen while walking to it in order to do so because the second I see it flash, I get self conscious and sneak away. It never came one and he stopped my heart. I don’t know how I didn’t stain my undies at that moment.

A pallet stun out of nowhere is a close second. I’m just patrolling gens, minding my own business and bam! Meanie Survivor just whacks me on my head.

  • You’re welcome.

I only die on first hook if the Killer tunnels from the start to 1 hook mori or brings an iridescent head hatchet. The only reason you would bring those in is because you want a fast and easy game, and I’m happy to oblige and move on to a better match.

I will die on first hook if I get to second stage due to my team being idiots as well.

  • Oh baby, he’s got his thicc pipe all lubed up and ready to go.

  • @voorheesgt said:

I do this regularly. I can't ever get people to boop the snoot though... Maybe 1 out of 5 matches.

I’m finding that lots of people don’t know what meme-ing is. I try to Boop the Snoot so many times and just get violated by Piggy’s blade with no time to react.

Just today, I tried playing with a Death Slinger. I stood behind a window and crouched, when he approached, I stood up then crouched again, hoping he’d get the hint that I want him to target practice on me. He accused me of t-bagging in the end game chat. I was so sad.

  • At most, I probably spent $50 on this game when I first purchased it with the Stranger Things bundle and the Freddy and Ghostface add-ons. I haven’t spent a dime on it in a long while, but I did get my money’s worth since I’ve played a lot over a year now.

If they want me to spend money on the shop, they have to give me more bang for my buck, and frankly, their cosmetics are way overpriced. I’d rather spend my money on delicious ribeye steaks and Pumpkin Cheesecake.

When they start to invest to make the game more interesting, I’d be inclined to spend more as well. The devs need to start shaking the game up with more events throughout the year. I want more than just a new coat of paint. During Christmas, the maps should have a coat of snow and ice, and players (both roles) should lose control of their character while they slip and slide all over the place.

In the fall, such as now, there should be fallen leaves on the grounds, with the pumpkins and Jack-o-lanterns and piles of leaves that Killers and Survivors can hide in. If a Kill hides in one, it removes their terror radius to add an extra element of fear for Survivors, while acting as another hiding spot for them.

Since Halloween should be the poster child of events for this game, the devs should have a Halloween themed costume for each character that players can earn by accomplishing challenges that aren’t impossible to do alone and won’t piss off their opponents.

During Spring, the maps should all be a little more fertile with some green grass and a flower here or there. It should rain with puddles on the floor that players can splash through. They could come up with some creepy Easter decor with a special event that involves Killer Bunnies.

Summer time can have a nice yellow atmosphere like the Cowboys map, but also include lava coming out of the ground that hinders players from traversing the maps like they normally do. It should be randomized to not give anyone an advantage. I’d also love a “the floor is lava” event similar to what fortnite did in the past.

I know these things are easier said than done, but it would keep player retention and show the devs actually cared about us and not just our wallets. Unfortunately, this would never happen since they’ll need to revisit their spaghetti code and iron it out in order to introduce better events, and we know they’ll never rewrite the game.

  • Yes.

The person who is being camped should have been aware of their surroundings before they got in a chase and should have given their teammates enough time to do one or two gens before they got hooked.

If they went down before some gens got done, that’s on them. Learn to loop, the maps are literally designed to waste the Killers time.

Once hooked, the rest of the gens can be completed if the Survivors know what they’re doing. Even versus Bubba, optimal Survivors can always trade hooks with the hooked person or even escape and waste more of his time.

Survivor mains don’t like hearing this, but most of their problems come from the fact that they’re simply bad at the game. That’s why there is so many requests for “nerf nerf nerf”.

Just as the Killer is not entitled to get a Kill, Survivors are not entitled to Survive a match or rescue their teammate. You always have the option of opening the gate and leaving.

  • I took a vacation from the game during the last rift, didn’t realize the Hag got such a unique skin, kinda makes me wish I wasn’t cheap and purchased it, had I known about it at the time. With the way things are today though, I’m happy I didn’t.

Problem is that, yes it is a team game, but it feels like I specifically am being pushed because 3 other people are incompetent.

All I want for NoED are two conditions, and maybe a safety clause. Change it so it's only after 5 generators complete, and shows Exposed immediately. If they want to add protection for those that did bones, that'd be nice but that's probably wishful thinking.

Would you be okay if the game showed Killers that Survivors had Unbreakable or DS active?

Gonna just repeat MY old arguments for this, but I've done 4 WITHOUT these perks or items, still made all the saves and died in 1 hook and ONE HIT because NoED.

The OP also said that the "do bones" argument is not realistic as we, as solo players, have as many things to do and contend with as the killer. Bones are a priority, but so's keeping alive the other 3 meatsacks that we have to call teammates so we can DO said bones.

Equipping perks is also unrealistic as we only have 4 perk slots. And, well, they're usually taken by perks more necessary for immediate survival. I never run Adrenaline because of the fact that endgame is a maybe.

And Avis, it does reward bad killers. As much as it does bad survivors, if not more. It is a perk that says "You're doing badly and losing, here's Exposed. The strongest status in the game. I'll even hide it for you too!" and that's just wrong. Devour Hope is the ONLY other perk to do so, but you have to earn that.

If the Killer was bad, your team should have no problem cleansing bones. If you die to a bad Killer who uses NoEd, it is entirely on you and your teammates. Not NoEd, not the Killer. This game is supposed to be difficult for both sides, NoEd is one of those difficulties. It's just not difficult to counter.

Killer has 4 perk slots, Survivors have a combined 16 slots. One of you can dedicate one slot for finding totems. You don't even need a perk slot if you just purchase maps on the blood web, so no, "more important" perks are not an excuse. Besides, if NoEd was as broken as a perk as Survivors like to complain, it would have earned a perk slot a long time ago.

The Killer definitely earns NoEd by playing 90% of the match with only 3 perks. Whether they do good or bad, they sacrifice a weak beginning and middle for a strong endgame, which could be to their detriment due to the fact that Survivors who use their eyes can remove it from the game.

Your problem isn't with the bones, it is with the Ranking and Matchmaking system, but since we know Behavior is completely incapable of creating them, everyone just wants to cry about NoEd to make the game easier for themselves.

  • Do bones

    Detectives Hunch

    Small Game

    Map with red twine

    Red Map

NoEd doesn't reward bad Killers, it punishes bad Survivors. Part of being a good Survivor is cleansing totems. If you don't want to cleanse and rush gens, then that is your choice. Don't blame the perk or the Killer, blame your choices.

It depends. If it’s like a rank 17-20, I can forgive the player since they’re still new and this game can be scary when you’re just starting out.

You realise that these days, you just breathe wrong and you get tunneled for it. There is no reason in this game anymore. No obsession? Tunneled. You looked at the killer? Tunneled. Touched that gen? Tunneled. The game has become a camp/tunnelfest. There are no reasons anymore.

I agree that tunneling sucks, especially when 5 gens are still up, but I switched my frustrations from the tunnelers to the devs. Rather than try to band-aid the games issues with perks, they really need to go back to the groundwork of the game and figure out to to make tunneling and camping at 3-5 gens as unattractive as possible.

But that’s a lot of work and I’m pretty sure the Suits at Behavior don’t want to spend any money when they don’t have to.

I don't know..a lot of the time when I'm doing gens in vain the Killer will come to me then wait and think..then go look for the other guy. It's always so amazing to me.👻🍭🍬

I do that when playing Killer! If I can’t find someone for the whole match and realize they’re just hiding and doing nothing, I will spare the person who is actually trying and go murder the bush.

  • If a Survivor runs in my face, I take it that they want me to kill them, so I do my best to oblige and camp them until the entity takes them. I always wait for BTs cooldown as well, since many Survivors think Killers can’t count, they never consider that I just may tunnel them.

  • Nah, Behavior is happy with where she is. The frustrations you have with the Nurse are intentional. It’s all in order to discourage you from playing her so you can choose another Killer that SWFs and streamers would have an easier time to have fun while looping you through the same obstacles 3 times only to lead you to the next one after they use their dead hard.

You see fortnite being told as a kiddy game that no one plays, but it still looks pretty fun ngl.

I consider it more of a casual game than it is a kiddie game. And yes, it is still fun, just in smaller doses than I used to take it.

I personally stopped after season x, where i just got bored with the game but this is off topic

I had fun when they had "The floor is Lava" mode and quit during the Avenger/Thanos theme. I literally just downloaded it because I was interested what they were doing for Halloween since DbD isn't doing anything.

I actually have more fun playing Dbd and am not very good at shooters, but the development between the two games are like night and day between the companies. Behavior had nothing on Epic.

Yeah i recently quit and will now be less active on the forums. It's sad. Not even fortnite made me wanna leave this bad.

I just reinstalled fortinte! They have an actual event where people who die come back as ghosts and can possess vehicles to kill people with!

  • It isn't surprising that they're going to mess with another Killer, I just never thought it would be Michael. He needed no nerfs whatsoever.

You'd think they'd worry about buffing Trapper and Wraith, two Killers who have been collecting dust on their worktable, but not.

I guess they really are focusing on pleasing their cash cow (Survivors).

  • No thank you. He’s too icky looking and doesn’t seem like the type to care about whether or not his partner is enjoying themselves.

Id rather it be Felix or David.

I'm going to fruitlessly hope for Chucky again

It's not fruitless! There is hope, they would just have to figure out a new way for him to hook people!
