Twerk and click your flashlight.
This causes me to ignore them more. I'd go so far as to tunnel their teammates when someone does this.
-
Yea, you're in what I call the break phase. Take a break until the next chapter release, thats what Im about to do. If they had some endgame goal, like nice cosmetics that I could grind towards, I'd play more, but they don't and I am not a fan of the bloody cosmetics, so no P3ing all my characters.
Hopefully they will wow us with the next chapter.
-
You can easily remove it from the game by cleansing totems.
If you are having trouble cleansing totems you can run Detectives Hunch, Small Game or even bring in a Map.
If you don’t have a map, you can run Plunderers to get one. I do, and I find a red map in 1 out of 3 matches.
You can play stealthily and just use your eyes and ears to find the totems. Just listen for the crackling fire sound.
There is nothing over powered with the new Killer meta. The only people who have issues with it are bad/lazy Survivors.
If the Killer is applying so much pressure that you can’t do gens or totems, it just means you’re simply not good enough, in a game where the entire level is designed to give you the advantage.
tldr; git gud.

Ah, yes, it is BHVR's fault that players are selecting the "Leave Match" button on their own free will.
Behavior does have the power to discourage people from wanting to DC. They could also implement a system that DCers would only be matched with other DCers when they join a queue.

Camping is stinky and I don't want to do it if I don't have to
It can be quite entertaining if you're up for memes. You could wait for them to unhook and let the savior trade places. Camping is also satisfying for those who go out of their way to be toxic.
I agree, it is stinky if you're doing it purely to make people miserable, especially at 5 gens.

Rhetorical question: Isn't it part of being a game designer to design your game in a way that it is enjoyable for everyone, and not the exact opposite?
So what's the point then?
It's impossible to design a game that is enjoyable for everyone. Every game has it's niche. Dbd attracts sadists and masochists.
-
No. I faced camped a Dwight yesterday who was super clicky with his flashlight and continuously vault spammed to annoy me while I was chasing someone.
I caught him in a bad spot and just stood next to him so he can see my face nodding while the entity took him from the game. He wanted my attention and I gave it to him.
-
Spine Chill. I’m terrible at looping even though I’ve been playing for a year and know what needs to be done while doing it, I just physically can’t do it due to limitations that I have.
Urban Evasion. Yes, I’m bad.

Trapper needs a huge rework and buff. He's the front page of Dead by Daylight, and really should be a lot more powerful.
He does not need a huge rework. He either needs to be able to start with and carry 3 traps as part of his base-kit or they make Bloody Coil base-kit and have Survivors actually make a difficult choice on whether or not they want to disarm his traps.
He is powerful enough if the person playing him is smart. He is so powerful he makes grass terrifying.

I have been an avid Spine Chill user for 4 months now, I have not seen a single killer that actually played around it.
It is a rare occurrence, but it does happen. I had a couple of Ghost Faces do it and only 1 Meyers do it (though, more often than not, I usually end up walking into Meyers when I try to sneak away).
Some know how to moonwalk to a gen and make me have to change my undies.
-
Getting grabbed by a Killer is one of the most enjoyable parts of this game. I hope the Devs introduce another Killer that can do the same.
The best Killers are the ones who know how to play around my Spine Chill and scare the pee out of me. My goodness, when that happens, I just have to step away for 30 seconds.
-
He’s fine as is. The add-on for aura reveal after slamming is annoying, but as long as you’re not caught out in the open, he can be looped.
They just need to buff his POV and make it higher.

@Sluzzy said:
You are calling them 'worst' because you have heard a streamer say that. I would say they are the most fair. Requires effort on their part to win. Chase is the most fun part of the game so embrace these killers, including Myers. Normal speed killers with counterplay is a good thing. I hope the devs don't abandon what made their game successful. It's not a battle arena game where a coordinated genrush is required to ever win.
Both are very good killers.
Fun is subjective. The chase is the most fun for you, you can't speak for everyone else. When playing as Survivor, I find it fun to try to avoid the Killer as much as possible while doing objectives and helping my team. The most fun I have is being able to break line of sight during a chase and sneak away.
As a Killer, I can tell you that I don't find it super fun to be looped around the same strong window or pallet over an over in an obstacle course that has been designed to give a half competent Survivor every advantage in a chase, waiting for them to make a mistake. Nor do I like it when I get blinded during an animation lock, where I can't do anything about it. Sure, the counter is to not break the pallet, but then I just waste more time and make things even more difficult by not breaking it. Maybe it is more fun with the top 3/4 Killers but not everyone likes to play them.
Seems like you just like facing Killers where you don't have to work as hard to counter and take it easy during a match.
-
It depends on the cosmetic. Play with Meyers wearing a hospital gown and you will easily kill me. Those legs are hard to resist.
Otherwise, from my Survivor point of view, Oni is usually more effective, unless it is indoors, then Meyers with wallhacks is better.
-
Trapper with Bloody Coil is the most fun Killer I could play. I wish it was basekit since all of his other add-ons are underwhelming. That way Survivors could face some risk when they choose to disarm traps.
I find Clown to be Meh, but that's just because I like the two trap Killers the best.
-
You need to strive for a three gen setup from the start of the match. It is crucial on large maps such as the ones you mention. And yes, sometimes, you will have to tunnel and proxy camp. Unless you're playing a super mobile killer, you don't have much of a choice.
I know he is outdated, buy my favorite Killer is Trapper. I just trap the crap out of a section of the map that has three gens and go to town on anyone who dares approach. If they get put in the basement, gg, especially if they're a swf since they're usually altruistic.
-
You have obviously never played the Doctor enough to realize he is really an M1 Killer that is just anti stealth. Against decent Survivors who know how to loop, he really can't do much against them until they make a mistake or he outsmarts them. Timing his shock to block a pallet or vault is harder than it looks.
If he really gives you so much trouble, run Calm Spirit as a part of your build. Stay Away from your teammates and work on gens solo. Run Spine Chill and walk away when it lights up. Hide in a locker as soon as he downs someone since they almost always have BBQ. The worst thing you could do is stay near others when playing against him.
Also, do gens in the middle at the start of the match to prevent a 3 gen situation that will cause you to want to dc.
-
I have played like 20 games today and have only seen 1 mori. Now, if you want to talk about tunneling and camping Killers, that would be a different story.

I don't know if that would work, as much as I like the books and world that Tolkien wrote, I would think Sauron's power could be equal to the Entity. I definitely think that Gandalf the White would overpower the entity if he was allowed to unleash his full power.
-
If Voldemort makes it into this game, they better have Snape and Malfoy as Survivors. One of Malfoys perks could be enchanting two lockers to work as doorways to the other side of the map, similar to how he mended the cabinets to let the baddies into Hogwarts.
I really want Hermione, but with the poor job they did with Nancy, I am scared what they would do to her.
-
- Entitled players on both sides who want the game to cater to them.
- Rankings and Matchmaking. Ranking up should be more difficult and matchmaking should never let a non-red rank Killer go against red rank Survivors. In a SWF, matchmaking should match the group based on the highest rank in the group.
- Optimization and game performance. They really need to rewrite the game from the ground up, but I understand that the cost of doing so wouldn’t make sense to them.
- No end game. Would be nice if there was some rewards to work up to. Prestiging used to be it for me, but It’s just not enough. Maybe sell some nice cosmetics in the store for an obscene amount of blood points and shards?
- DS, Keys and Moris all need to be changed.
- Something needs to be implemented to prevent camping while 5 gens are still up during solo play with a group of potatoes. I don’t know what it is without possibly breaking the game, but it gets so frustrating when it happens. Granted, matchmaking would help with this.

Don't forget Franklins Demise if you see too many items in the pre game libby
I actually forgot about that.
Also, thanks to your name (which I love), I now want macaroni and am going to the store to buy some.
-
Bubba for Knock Out and BBQ& Chili
He is also great for when you had a streak of bad games and just want to sit back and chill while camping.
-
We need Chucky. His power could allow him to climb up walls and obstacles and launch himself upon his victims. While in chase, he can have inhuman strength in his legs to allow him to leap over things and jump at Survivors.
Would also work with Xenomorphs, but I’d rather have Chucky and hear his footsteps pitter patter over the ground.
-
I would buff it by making the opening levers regress if Survivors don’t open the doors all the way.
-

He's already inescapable when he's not a potato and doesn't bump into things. And people still camp with him.
They will never stop camping with him. He is the poster boy for camping. It’s why I suggested they give Killers who camp a campfire and lawn chair animation. At least it would be more interesting to look at while I’m hanging on the hook.
-
Sometimes, it makes the Survivor give up and let go. I did it to a Bill the other day because he let someone die on hook while I was in chase with someone else and had the other team member on a different hook. I let the last two remaining Survivors farm and leave after he let go.
Sometimes I do it because I like to hear David or Feng squeal.
-
Nothing wrong with BT. Only DS needs an alteration.
-
Im more tired of people trying to jump off when I ran across the map to unhook them. I am about to just start walking away when I see them attempt it.

If you don't let Meg have Dorothy, she'll make a face that is even more sour than her natural face. Our whole existence will implode on itself... 😨
Nea in a dress, pigtails, sparkly shoes and wearing makeup will counteract Megs reality warping face pout.

All licensed characters have cosmetics right now besides Quentin and Freddy,
But that’s because of legal issues that has nothing to do with Behavior, is it not? I’m pretty sure if they could, they would have given them more cosmetics a long time ago.
-
It is only a problem for Solo since ranking and matchmaking keeps pairing up potatoes with everyone.
Its really difficult to play solo since Survivors generally want to help one another, but aren’t experienced enough to know what to do or what perks to run.
If facing a group of potatoes, please be nice and don’t do it while 5 gens are up.

Ninjas, or Egyptian legends collection.
They should do this when they come out with an Egyptian Mummy and Ninja Killer. I do think it’ll be a while before they do any ninja theme since it’s heavily based on Japanese culture and we have Oni, Spirit and Yui to satisfy it.

THE UNDEAD
All survivors look like zombies with rotten skin, discoloured eyes, torn clothes, missing patches of hair, cuts and scratches, and so on
I would love this! An eyeball hanging out of the socket, an arm missing here, a leg missing there, oh my, it would make the game a bit more interesting to look at.

In that scenario killer can still get a 3k though it's not a complete loss because the survivors are only a 3 man and it's a lot easier.
Still a win for the escaped Survivor and it is still easier to pull off than chasing and downing a skilled Survivor who has competent teammates.
Not saying that Moris aren’t OP, I’m just saying that they’re comparable to Keys and both need to be nerfed.

Idc about a theme I just want some Quentin cosmetics ;-;
Sadly, I don’t think he will get any due to him being a licensed character.
-
Win or lose I always say gg unless I’m playing Survivor and the Killer tunneled/camped/slugged at 5 gens. Then I don’t even wait and move on to the next match.
-
I see him in about every other match. Just wait until the Devs release a shirtless cosmetic for him and you will see him more often.
-
Honestly, the only change I want is for Freddy to have to work to put people to sleep. I hate the dreamworld and how you have to run across the map to wake up. Either make falling asleep something he has to work for, or let it be based on how long a Survivor is within his terror radius. Heck, I’ll settle for an extra alarm clock to be available on the map.
Spirit is annoying, but I can’t think of any changes that wouldn’t completely butcher her. My problem with her and all other high mobility Killers is their tendency to always tunnel or proxy camp hooks. To fix that, the devs would have to change the mechanics of the game. I’d go so far as to make Borrowed Time as a base-kit ability to discourage tunneling from the start of the match, but understand how it can break the game during endgame.
I also hate Killers who have abilities to see auras through walls, like Wraith and Michael, but that’s because I’m a stealth player and it completely counters me.
-
@Afius said:
I get how they're both frustrating but I honestly believe ebony mori should be the only thing changed it's really not that hard to hook somebody one time. If the last guy opens the hatch with the key I'm not really raging about it but when somebody brings an ebony mori I just roll my eyes because of how easy it is to hook a survivor and down them again. But I'm guessing there's a rift that requires the killer to kill all 4 survivors by their own hand.
It’s easier to hide and do nothing for the whole match and wait for hatch than it is to chase a Survivor who knows what they’re doing.
I could equip Calm Spirit on my Claudette, bring in a Key and and offering to go to the Saloon map and never be found by the Killer if I wanted to remain hidden, unless it’s a Killer that has wall hacks like Michael, Wraith or Legion. And even then, it’s rare. BBQ is easy to counter.
You literally have to just hide for the match while your team does all the work. Saying Moris only need a change shows how biased you are.
-
If you play Hag, or any highly mobile character, MyC can be brutal for Survivors. It'll make them weary to unhook.

To be fair the walking animation that OP is referring to looks stupid as #########. I´d like to know whether the person responsible for that is okay, too. Especially considering how great they usually are at visual design and all that.
Quentin would like to have a word with the visual design team.
-
i second indoor maps, especially Midwich. I hate it so much that I’m ready to dc the match as soon as it starts. I practice patience though and see how my teammates do, if they’re a bunch of potatoes, I die on first hook.
I used to be anti-dc but I have come to hate that map so much, I refuse to play it since it isn’t fun for me at all.
The other depressing thing I see is when players call for nerfs without actually playing both roles. It just seems like people want an easy game with no challenge. Yes, some things need balancing, but the game isn’t anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Just wish the devs would get an influx of money and higher pro-programmers and rewrite the game from the ground up.
-
Trapper-
New model with higher polygon count. More muscular definition with a new shirtless cosmetic that showcases his hotness before he was corrupted by the entity.
Update his base kit to allow him to start with and hold three traps.
Make traps harder to see without add-ons.
Wraith-
Make foot steps slightly quieter.
Windstorm add-on becomes base kit.
Bone Clapper becomes base kit.
New mummy cosmetic but with toilet paper instead of bandages.
Claudette-
New higher polygon model with higher resolution textures. She’s my favorite character I just wish her face was less plastic looking.
New unique animations. Actually, all Survivors should have different walk, run, crouch, and crawling animations to make them stand out.
New cosmetic “Frogette” that didn’t win in the last competition. It was by far my favorite entry.
New Cosmetic “Witches Wardrobe”- Classic witches outfit with pointy hat, cape, obviously fake green nose with warts, striped socks and curled point shoes.
Quentin- Just end his suffering and redo him from the ground up. Give him a hot swimmers physic to compensate him for all of his suffering.
-
I would turn it off.
If that isn’t possible, I would quit playing.
I don’t want to hear angry mouth breathers, profanity or chat with anyone when I play this game.
I would accept a few more emotes or some preset chat bubbles.
-
The only way to win against coordinated SWF is to target the weakest link and tunnel them out of the game. Nine times out of ten, their teammates will be super altruistic and try to save their buddy.
I find this works best with Hag and Trapper (with Bloody Coil), especially if you can get them in the basement. I don’t own Bubba, but he is great for camping too.
-
Congrats, Purple is the best color.
