I always try to play nice when I play Killer. I actually enjoy memeing around with Survivors more than I like actually playing the game. If it is super obvious that I’m a lot better than them, I’ll just 2 hook everyone and let them all escape.
It’s different vs a Bully SWF squad. I will either do my best against them, if that means tunnel and camp, so be it, or if it’s obvious that they are far away above and beyond my level, I’ll hide in the basement.
If they have OoO I don’t even try. I like playing trap Killers and that just ruins my match. Unless they fail to cleanse totems and risk coming to visit me in the basement after rushing all the gens......teehee.

There is no double standard. By playing a certain killer not only do you see their limitations, you will eventually encounter players who have the skill necessary to use their counters, thus experiencing those counters for yourself. By that very same standard, you don't need to be able to counter a certain killer to see other survivors doing it, so even if you lack the skill necessary to use those counters, you can still recognize that they exist and see what they are.
The beef analogy was spot-on (and made me hungry).

For Survivors
“Oh no you don’t!”: Launch yourself off a hook by using your teammates face as a launch pad when they try to rescue you in front of the Killers face.
“I don’t think so!”: Perform a somersault over your teammate when they try to block your path, tripping them into the ground for 3 or4 seconds.
For Killers
Tee hee: Allows you to pallet stun survivors for up to 3 times only after you’ve been stunned for the same amount of times.
Not a perk, but I want Saminations voice work introduced for Trapper and Claudette.

I understand that but how can he not get in trouble for sitting there all game?
Why would he get in trouble? He outplayed your team by letting you gain a false sense of security and then killed you all.
There is nothing in the rules that says Killers must chase Survivors throughout the entire match. If there is anything to learn from this it’s that even when Survivors have plenty of time to do totems, they still won’t because they’re too lazy to.
Its just like playing against an Insidious Basement Chest Protector Bubba. He sets up his strategy by standing in the basement, and gets his Kills by waiting for the Survivors to come like moths to a flame.
As long as they aren’t cheating, everything is fair game. There is no rule that says Killers must play to entertain Survivors.
-
Why, so match making could take even longer? So people could be toxic and judgmental before and after matches? No, it’s fine the way it is.
My advice is for you to play for yourself. You don’t owe anyone on your team anything, so you shouldn’t have to play with perks that help them.

Now you just gotta find me in lobby. Needle, meet haystack. 😁
Well, if you ever see a Claudette or Dwight come out from behind a corner, and slowly edges towards you, while rhythmically clicking their flashlight at you, attempting to use it as a morse code device, then you’ve found me. You’ll know for sure it’s me when I don’t struggle while on your shoulder, tacitly placing my hands on highly desired locations upon your body.
ok, that’s enough from me now.

Someone did that to my Spirit on Midwich. The snitch died. I then slugged the other and carried them to hatch. They were the last two, and not very good, and the final one couldn't find hatch for anything.
But yeah, snitch and I'll facecamp you. One of the few times I will do that.
If you play Michael against me, I may tbag and flashlight click just so you could penetrate me with your tool and let me feel your muscles while you sling me over your shoulders.
Unfortunately, only few Michaels realize what I’m after when I do that.
-
Im still mad the frogette costume didn’t win.
*pout*
-
I downed an Ace yesterday. It was obvious he wasn’t very good so I left him slugged. Went back when he got picked up so I could chase his teammate, only to find him hiding in a corner with no way out. So I just stand there, looking at him, contemplating whether or not I should just let him go to do gens or slug him again. He turns toward a locker and points at it. I open it to find Claudette screaming.
I drop the Claudette and hook the Ace.
I camped him and let rest escape.
Snitches get stitches.

If they add them after the ptb, they most likely will not be hidden given they aren't hidden in the ptb. But this game can already be a sweat fest, It really doesn't need another reason to be like that.
Yea, I agree that it’s already a sweat fest, I was trying to delude myself and be positive.

I didn’t know these were a thing. Does the Killer know when one is used? If so, I don’t see it to be too big of a deal. They would just have to sweat a little more. As long as we have Moris still available, I don’t think it’s worth complaining about.

I agree, my fun builds wouldn’t be fun for everyone. Mirror Myers is fun but I hate wasting map offerings now with people just DCing.
Myers just with Monitor and abuse alone can be fun enough in my opinion.
Man, when I want to have fun, I just go into a match without a care in the world. I’ll pick Doctor just to cause Survivors to repeatedly scream. So I just chase them around without hitting them. The reactions you get from Survivors when they realize you’re not trying to kill them can be really funny.
May favorite thing to do is a fun technique with Hag. I just place all of my traps in one location and wait to hear the poor David that runs through them scream over and over. It’s just so funny to me.
I would do the same with when I hook someone but I’ve noticed people tend to suicide when I put more than 4 traps around their hook.
-
@Peanits said:
It definitely gets me when I stream. You really start to rely on that sound to tell you to pay attention. Even an early skill check at 3 stacks can be pretty difficult to hit.
When I'm not, way less so. 5 stacks can still mess me up if I'm tired, but I usually don't have much of an issue with it if I'm focusing on the game. I find it can still really mess up a gen if you get chased off of it just as you get a skill check, or if you're up against a skill check Doctor like others have mentioned.
Off topic, do you have a YouTube channel that I can watch some of your old games?
-
It depends on the Killer you choose. I think any build with Trapper is fun just because I think trying to outsmart the Survivors with trap placement is fun. It’s always delicious when you get an over confident Survivor thinking they escaped and Snap!
Holy Protector of the Divine Chest Bubba can be fun when it works. Insidious is a must and just sit in the basement until one of the infidels attempt to desecrate your Divine Chest.
This is the kind of game where people really can’t tell you what is fun, you have to make your own.
One thing I recently read was how fun Michael is with his wall hack ability to just jump scare Survivors. It may not be super viable, but it is fun. Also, some Survivors throw themselves at Daddy Michael, giving him easy kills, because his raw masculinity is just too difficult to resist.
-
Your chances of getting a Killer to befriend you are much higher if you avoid playing as Claudette. I’ve found most Killers will show me mercy when I play him than when I play Claudette, which sucks since I really like her.
Second, as someone else has stated, crouch and crawl up to the Killer and offer them and item. That’s really the best way to send the message.

If you ask such a question, you are asking for why people would do it, which comes down to what I said AND a 'my understanding of the game is better than yours' approach at bottom line, come of your high horse.
You obviously have difficulty with reading comprehension and read what you want to believe is written rather than what is actually written.
Nowhere in my post have I even mentioned that my understanding of the game is better than yours.

Quentin usually kills himself by running out directly in front of my Oni dash, or billy sprint... No joke, it is bizarre! The biggest scare I've ever gotten from dbd was chainsaw sprinting across coldwind farms to patrol gens right at the start of the match, when BAM! Quintin appears in front of me in the corn! I jumped, I bet he lost it lol.
I think the biggest scare I’ve gotten was looking for a Survivor at the start of a match and getting pallet stunned out of nowhere by a Claudette. Literally made me jump from my seat.
Other than that, Daddy Michael and Ghostface terrify me when I play and I hope they remain in Dbd forever.

2. Every brightly colored Nea, Feng, or Yui. (They regularly Kill every helpless pallet on every map and they make me want to kill my tv with my ps4 paddle)
3 Dishevelled hipster Dwight (he kills my very soul every time I hear him spamming the flashlight button while I'm looking for Blendette)
They are by far my least favorite killers...🤗
Don't forget Quentin. He Kills just by showing his face to his opponent.

Infinite loops got removed.
And I'm not telling anybody how to play i just said that we never make post every time we see a camping killer but you do if you see someone using ds.
First, I never said playing SWF is toxic. I believe it is broken but I don’t blame anyone for wanting to play with their friends. It’s just the Devs need to balance the game around SWF and implement some more built in communications for Solo. It doesn’t even have to be voice chat, it could be preset text bubbles or small objective markers similar to the beam of light that a glass bead and a map can set.
Infinites may have been nerfed, but they are still strong loops that waste a Killers time if ran properly. Anyways, my point was when they were in the game, Survivors never considered how Killers might see it as toxic and unfun every time they ran to one, but expect Killers to consider what is fun for Survivors. It’s a double standard that needs to go.
And yes, there are lots of posts written by angry Survivor mains that complain about camping and tunneling. But that’s not all, they constantly complain about Killers who buck the trend when it comes to looping such as poor Cowboy, who is next in their chopping block. They complained about Nurse and got her butchered, they complained about Spirit and got her nerfed (though she did need it) and the same goes for Killer perks.
I see a complaint thread about NoEd more often than I see a complaint about anything else. The sad thing is, there is no reason to complain about it. It is easily countered, all you have to do is cleanse 5 totems while evading the Killer. Even if you struggle with that, your team can replace one of their 16 combined perks with Small Game or Detectives Hunch. But no one wants to, they rather come here and complain about it. People say bad Killers use NoEd, but if that was true, and the Killer was bad throughout the match, then Survivors should have had no trouble looping the Killer and wasting their time while their teammates powered through the gens and totems.

Your comment REEKED of victim complex. Also I love how you ignore how I said "Perks aren't toxic unless used in a toxic manner." And btw saving DS for EGC isn't toxic because you already lost at that point, you had the whole game to get a kill and you didn't thats 100% on you and saying they saved it means they were already tunneled once so now its just pure punishment at this point lol. There's nothing a survivor can do that will make the killer literally stuck in place for 2 minutes then lose and depip no playstyle or perks will do that.
Ah, so taking advantage of a poorly designed perk is ok, but taking advantage of a weak Survivor isn’t, got it.
The game is designed to give Survivors every advantage to escape the Killer multiple times throughout a trial. It’s on them if they get caught and camped.
There is something Survivors can do that can make the Killer depip and waste time. It’s called playing SWF and getting good.
As the devs have stated multiple times, tunneling and camping are legitimate strategies. It’s just not fun for the Survivors so people like you try to shame Killers from using those strategies by calling them “bad” or “unfun”.
Again, you, nor I, have any right to tell people how they should play, nor should we judge them for their choice of play style.
As far as me ignoring your perk comment, there wasn’t much of a discussion to be had there. Killers have perks and powers that promote camping. They’re just doing what the game is designed for them to do. Insidious and NoEd exists for a reason, and for mobile Killers like Hag, Make Your Choice is also designed for them to camp a hook from a distance. Then you have Bubba, who is literally designed to camp. You also have Basement Trapper with bloody coil.
Just because you don’t like something doesn’t make it bad. But because You and you’re team are not good enough, you opt to attack the Killer.
Tell me something, when infinite loops were more prevalent in the game, did Survivors ever stop and consider how Killers felt every time they ran to them? No, because it gave them the advantage in the match, Killers feeling be damned. It wasn’t fun for the Killers when they had to go through loops that they knew they had no chance in catching up with a Survivor, yet no Survivor ever though that strategy was “toxic”. Why the double standard?
If you want to blame anyone for camping, blame the Survivors who keep falling for it. Devs even tried to implement things into the game to discourage it but Survivors took advantage and abused them, so blame them for it, not the Killer.

Camping and Tunneling IS toxic tho. Perks arent unless used in a toxic way.
It is only toxic because you say it is. More often than not, it works because Survivors play right into it. Most Killers really don't have a choice but to tunnel and camp with how fast gens currently fly. There is no way to win as a Killer against a high ranking competent team without using those strategies, unless you're a top tier Nurse, Billy, Spirit or Freddy.
In all seriousness, we all know that the majority of the Survivors never consider how a Killer may feel when they play against them, nor do they try to give the Killer a 'fun' time. Why should Killer do so? People complain about it because it makes the game more difficult for them and they don't want to bother.
If you don't consider running into a locker or getting on a gen in the Killers face with DS active, Body Blocking with BT active, saving DS for EGC for when a Killer has no choice but to camp or tunnel since gens are done or rushing to the strongest loop every time you get in chase all as toxic then you are a hypocrite. Sure, you'll tell yourself "but that's how you're supposed to play, take every advantage in order to Survive", well then, why can't Killers do the same? Why can't they take every advantage that they want to?
Want to counter tunneling and camping? You have plenty of options. First option is to play a Blendette and not get caught in the first place. Second option is to learn how to loop and waste as much time as you can. Third option is to use the many meta-second chance perks that Survivors have access to. Fourth option is to make friends and play as SWF so you can coordinate your perks and rescues. Killer camping? Rush gens and leave. Did you get camped at the start of the game after going down in 10 seconds? Learn to get better at lasting longer and to be more aware of your surroundings.
People think they have a right to tell the other side how they should play when in fact they don't. This goes for Killers too- they have no right to complain about the strategies that Survivors us as long as they're not hacking or exploiting a bug. As long as it is within the limits of the rules that the Devs have decided on, everything is fair game.
-
Nope, I think Pyramid Head was the most important Killer to be released. He pushed the limits on what Killers can do, such as hooking survivors without picking them up and being able to mori without actually offering a mori.
The Blight is just a “meh” Killer that I consider a “filler” type of killer.
Hopefully the next one will wow us all.

Except that there's truth in there. Playing both roles, I know how much of an annoying, unbalanced thing SWF is (never been in a full SWF team, though). But, having the killer chasing you forever, downing you because he got Bloodlust, then possibly facecamping you because you made him mad by wasting so much of his time (which he could have used by hunting somebody else) is not fun, either. While playing survivor, I want to do everything I can to earn some points. I want to cleanse totems, I want to open chests, I want to work on gens, heal AND get chased. Not ONLY get chased, until I die because I turned 95. And I don't want to go down with a single basic attack either, because the killer had the perk that those who know will not be able to stop gens bring (NoeD). As a solo survivor, I almost always cleanse 3 to 4 totems, sometimes even 5 all on my own. But I can't go looking for totems on the entire map all on my own, in every single match. Until solos have a way of telling how many totems are still present in the map yes, NoeD is actually a crutch. And I think the same about DS and DH, some easy stuff that everybody uses. The difference is that, with like 95% of the killers I've met relentlessly chasing the same guy, then tunneling and camping him (and, before you say anything, this applies to both console and PC), DS becomes close to being "mandatory". When killers' behaviour will change, decent survivors' behaviour and perks might change as well. But until then, nobody likes being chased for the entirety of the game.
EDIT: And please, be rational about what you say, and don't give me the same recycled answer "the killer's job is to kill, he doesn't have to care about your fun. As much as survivors don't have to care about the killer's fun blah blah blah". If people start to get tired of the game and its community, what do you think will happen? I don't think that hitting air gives any bloodpoints, does it? As much as kicking gens with no progress is not going to regress them.
I am being rational when I say this, the Killers job is to kill Survivors. When you queue up solo you do so taking a risk that you will be paired with Potatoes. It isn’t the Killers fault that you’re the only one that may do totems and your teammates refuse to. NoEd isn’t over powered because it gives the Killer and extra boost in power, it’s strong because Survivors get tunnel vision and ignore the secondary objective.
No player is entitled to have their opponent play as they want to. As long as the rules of the game aren’t being broken, there is nothing wrong with being chased the whole match. Isn’t that what most Survivors on the forums want? How many times have I seen it posted by people that the chase is the most fun part of the game? Let’s say you got chased for three gens, wouldn’t you say that you had fun and we’re able to contribute to the team? Why should the Killer be lenient with you while you’re on hook? It’s their right to face camp you since they put up with chasing you for that long. It’s just a consequence of playing Survivor.
The only way to make Killers give up the strategies Survivors don’t like is to remove some of the stress from their shoulders. As things stand now, gens go way too fast. Saying just pressure them doesn’t work. There is no way a Killer will be able to hook 4 people 3 times each before the 5th gen pops when they face a competent group of Survivors unless they play one of the top 3/4 Killers unless they use tactics you don’t like.
It’s funny how you blame Killers for making the game not fun but not mention how unfun Survivors make the match for Killers. Do you really think Killers have fun when they repeatedly get locked stunned? Or how about pallet stunned and blinded? Or how about getting blinded with a Survivor on their shoulder, losing the Survivor and all the time they spent to down them? Do you think Killers love it when after they chase someone and are walking to the hook, that the hook disappears because someone has a tool box? Do you think it’s fun for Killers to get body blocked over and over?
You probably think that’s all fine and dandy because it’s just Survivors completing their objectives. Well the same applies for Killers. You are not entitled to search chests, heal, work on gens or help your team. Their goal is to make the match as difficult as possible, hopefully leading to your teams death. The only thing you’re entitled to is a “chance” at Survival.
Don’t ask Killers to go out of their way to make the game enjoyable for you unless you’re willing to ask Survivors to do the same for Killers. So the next time you think to save someone by using a flashlight, consider how the Killer might get upset and make the game easier for them by not blinding them. Oh, you won’t, because you want your points, well then, don’t expect the Killer to do the same for you.
And if the game dies, so be it. It’s up to the Devs to provide an enjoyable experience for their community, not the players.

Nothing. I've stopped.
I stopped right when Pyramid Head came out. I was already frustrated with the game and his new map caused me to leave. I want to come back but the new chapter doesn't seem interesting and I have a feeling the new graphics are going to cause major headaches in performance. So I will probably wait for another chapter or two.
-
I wouldn't mind a female Killer. Maybe we could get an original female mummy character similar to the Mummy from the Tom Cruise movie with original survivors.

It would be based on Survivors knowing that they actually have all the power in the match and reverse rolls with the Killer.
In all seriousness, game doesn’t need a spinoff, it needs a remake.

The way it usually works is an up-front payment and a large percentage of every sale, often around 30-40%. The up-front payment is to make sure the seller gets the sweeter end of the deal, so it's usually huge. Dunno if that's how BHVR and their deals have been going, but that is the norm when it comes to liscencing/publishing stuff.
Edit: I should also clarify, Coralline is held by a huge, rich studio that would need a lot of cash to be flashed to get off their arse.
If that’s the case, I’d rather we get an original Mummy killer instead of an over priced studio property......unless it’s Chucky. I’d come back to the game for him, especially if he could climb over objects/walls and launch himself at Survivors. Bonus cookies if they give him cute little pitter patter foot tap sounds when he runs. They’d have to do something about hooks but that can be fixed by using a noose instead.
