96% - one thing was myself counting wrong, the other thing was myself forgetting how to English.
-
One reason could be that there is not much to see when playing Killer.
-
Once you are on the Killers Shoulder, you are in Dying State. Why should you be injured afterwards and not dying?
Its fine how it currently is.
-
To be fair, 3 seconds were not enough to get away, even without Enduring. The animation alone is already 1,3 seconds.

June 17th. There are 3 weeks between Tome Level 3 and Tome Level 4.

The only scenario I see Enduring being useful is when it's ran with Spirit Fury. Perks shouldn't be designed so they're only usable with another perk.
Nah, not caring about Pallet Stuns is great. And this is what Enduring can do. Spirit Fury on the other Hand is only useful when paired with Enduring. Personally, I dislike Spirit Fury, I think it is kinda unfair (not OP by any means), but seeing how recent Maps have unsafe Pallets, I can imagine it can become a problem at some point in the future.
So yeah, Enduring suits my playstyle pretty well, at least for M1-Killers, I have Enduring on every one of them.
-
Enduring is still a great Perk.
-
I dont have any problems with farming matches, as long as they are not too frequent. I get farming Killers quite rarely, and this is fine.
During double BP I prefer farming Matches, since my SWF-Mate and myself always burn a Party Streamer, so there can be a lots of BPs. Certainly better than people who change their name to "Screw your double BPs" and play Iri Head Huntress with Ebony or Insidious Leatherface.
-
I hope they will do mostly licensed Characters. Because if they bring Original Characters as Legendary Skins it would be a sign that they are running out of ideas for Perks.

just because it's in the game doesn't mean it was intended nor does it mean it is balanced. It's a cheap and broken tactic that does not create a fun or even competitive experience in a game that should be both.
If slugging was not intended, they would not require a second Survivor to heal from Dying State into Injured State (aside from Perks, of course). This is in the game since Day 1. So its fair to say it is intended.
Also, slugging can be a tool to apply pressure. If I just down a Survivor and another Survivor is there and I know they dont have anything to get away, I can slug to either injure or even down them. It would be stupid to not do that, if it is worth the chase.
Also DS is a thing, it can be avoided by keeping the Survivor slugged.
Nobody is denying that keeping someone slugged for 4 minutes without any intention to hooking them is a dickmove. But there is no need to change the Mechanic just for a few individuals.

cheaters are rare in games too but should they not be banned?
Do you compare something which is intended and in the game with a Cheat? Oof.

Forgot this forum is full of killers lmao.
Forgot to mention i'm rank 1 survivor and killer.
Slugging till death is ######### stupid, stop trying to back it up.
It IS stupid, this cannot be denied. But, I have like 4200 hours on this game. And I cannot think of more than a handful games where someone let me bleed out on purpose or was waiting until the last second before picking me up, just to let be a dick.
I am also not doing that myself, the only reasons I slug is when I want to create pressure. If I slug someone to death it is either because they crawled away and I was not able to find them or if I dont have any Hook nearby.
So why should a mechanic or tool (which is slugging) be changed for something which happens rarely? Its not like you go from game to game where you get slugged for 4 minutes without any intention to pick you up.
@metalklok said:
so survivors cry that you can slug to counter ds( one of the most used survivor perk} but then when you do survivors cry that you are slugging. NOICE
Killers slug all the time but when it comes to DS it is IMPOSSIBLE to slug... It works both ways.
-
Thats certainly a dickmove, however, this does not occur on a frequent basis, so there is not anything that needs to be fixed.

dude you said "DBD cannot be competitive." which BY DEFINITION is wrong, take your L and sit down.
Amazing technique - not saying anything in regards to my points and simply declaring yourself as the "winner" of this discussion.
But well, I am fine to agree to disagree.

"You can minimize RNG by Deckbuilding"
i dont think you know anything about card games, Some of the best cards in hearthstone are rng why would you want to take them out also i used to play in yugioh local tournaments all the time and you can get a hand where you win in the first turn just because you drew all the right cards people even call them ftk (first turn kills) or otk (one turn kills) just because something has rng in it does not make it any less competitive just less skill oriented.
edit= or poker, Poker is all rng and bluffing is poker not competitive?
"i dont think you know anything about card games"
I am working for a card game company for 9 years now as a volunteer...And while I know that Cardgames are RNG, I also know that the player makes a lot when it comes to reaching the Top Cuts.
And well, sure the best cards are RNG, but you can also search them. Its not like those cards are played as a One-Off, if I want to have a Field Spell, I play cards which let me search a Field Spell, to minimize the RNG. Instead of playing 3 copies of a card, I have 6 copies of a card.
However, the player has much more influence over what he is playing and how he is playing it. This does only apply to DBD to an extend. Sure, most likely the better player will win, but there is some stuff in this game where even the best players cannot really do anything when the other side is a little bit competent. Like, lets say Shack spawns with the Window facing to a Jungle Gym Window. If the Survivor is somewhat decent, they know how to run those Tiles, and the Killer will not really have a chance to catch them (if we assume it is a Killer who needs to loop).

definition of competition
Competition arises whenever at least two parties strive for a goal which cannot be shared: where one's gain is the other's loss.
so by definition dead by daylight can be and is. and too much rng? hearthstone has a very active tournament scene and that game has a ton of game winning rng.
You can minimize RNG by Deckbuilding. This does not work for DBD - you cannot do anything about a Map spawning full of Pallets in the middle or with a giant Deadzone.
Skill is not relevant when something like this happens, the dumbest Killer can catch a Survivor in a Deadzone and the most skilled Survivor will have problems there.
-
I dont know how often I get to use it, but when I get to use it, it is 99% of the time justified. But I am also not that player that runs to the Killer to rub the DS in their face, because I know that this will most likely not turn out good for me. But I also know that I did not get some DS, because the Killer took a minute to chase me after I got unhooked, meaning that I got tunneled but was not able to use it.
What I know is that the one time I recently did not use DS, I got tunneled. Like, instantly.
Personally, I consider DS needed, because I know how Killers play when there is no Obsession. Simply the fact that there was a Obsession in your games (meaning someone had DS) could mean that you got to use it only twice.

I mean before you could at least DC and move on cause ranking up is easy anyway but now.....
Yes, but you should not be allowed to DC and move on. There are 4 other players in the game which experience will be ruined because someone thinks they are entitled to play the game like THEY want and not like 4 other players want to play it.
Besides that, there is no system that can determine if someone is being slugged for 4 minutes on purpose OR being slugged to create pressure/avoid DS OR being slugged because they crawled away and the Killer cannot find them anymore.

I personally like facing blendette... if i dont yamoka map of course. They will be a total garbage when looping and often they will perform unsafe unhooks without bt... so.
Blendette swf is a different story
Blendettes are fun to verse. Most likely I get the easy first hit in, because they think they are invisible, when they are not.

Yeah, and I think they should not allow that.

As I've said, I can get 4Ks too, even on a full SWF group. But the fact you can does not make it any less of a problem. Communicating when the killer is chasing you, so others can focus on 3 different gens and get them done easily, especially now that Ruin is as it is, can be said to be the easiest thing in the world. People who can't manage to do that are just too bad at the game. It really takes nothing. You should be noting players who don't succeed in a SWF group much more than those who do, as the chances that it happens are highly against the odds. Plus, to be honest, those matches could have been way worse than they have, for you. There is just a single survivor running DS, and nobody running Dead Hard.
Dont you think that Solos also know that they have to do Gens? Like... I dont need someone to tell me "Killer is chasing me, do Gens". When I am not in Chase, I am on a Gen.
4 competent Solos can give the Killer a hard time compareable to a 4 man SWF. Let alone that 4 man SWFs are often not even good.
-
Slugging to let the Survivor Bleed Out without any intention to hook them is 100% a dickmove.
However, how is 4 minute for bleeding out worse than at least 5 minutes Matchmaking ban?
-
They are bugged since the Midchapter. So not "at least 3 months", around 1 1/2 months.
And yes, those are known bugs so they will be fixed.

that kinda sucks, bhvr could just make licensed survivors and killer perks really op and pretty much force everyone to spend money on dlcs
You mean like the upcoming DLC?
-
No, this would not be cool or fun. Sandbagging teammates are already annoying, giving them actual gametools to sandbag their teammates is as wrong as it can be.
-
3 BNPs and a Shroud. Something which does not happen on a regular basis, not even slightly. Thats like a 1 in 100k games.
AND he got a 4K out of it with 3 Gens to go, meaning they were only able to do an additional Gen.
If anything this shows how oppressive Killers can be. Quite a bad example to prove the yellow KIller "I get genrushed!!!11"-mentality on this forum.
-
If it is a really good Nurse, you cannot win. Just accept that you cannot win every game and keep in mind that the majority of Nurse players is not on that Level.
-
This were 3 BNPs and a Shroud. Something which happens in like 0.00001% of games. So there will be like 100k games where this will not happen.
Besides... He won with 3 Gens to go.
-
This might give the Killers identity away. If you land on MacMillan, you would be extra careful in grass. If you land on Haddonfield, Myers would have it harder to stalk.
Sure, there is no guarantee that the Killer is the one of the Realm, but still... Back in the day Hooks looked different, depending on the Killer. And they changed that for a reason.

My Survivor games are not that one-sided when it comes to Killers. Luckily, I would probably not play this game if I had to go against Freddy that often.

Survivor: Iron Will
Killer: Whispers
-
I guess the Penalty was justified.
-
So? 2 Children arguing with each other. And now?
-
If you want the Perks, I would suggest this Order:
Clown
Plague
Legion
Spirit
If you want to play the Killer and have good results:
Spirit
Plague
Legion
Clown
-
I would not expect a Buff anytime soon. Devs seem to go the way that they release weak things and buff them later, instead of going for strong Perks.
(Which is how balancing makes sense, tbh. It is easier to buff weak Stuff instead of nerfing strong Stuff)
But yeah, the Perks are all quite underwhelming.
-
Vanity Mirror is the most horrible thing I have ever used on Myers. I tried it one time and it was miserable. The thing is, Mirror Myers has 105% Movement Speed, Vanity Mirror has a penalty of 7%, meaning a Tier 2 Myers is 108% with Vanity Mirror. Not great.
Sure, the lunge is better, but when playing Scratched Mirror, you want the Boyfriends Memo anyway... So dont think that the Lunge is that much of an advantage. And even with Monitor and Dead Rabbit the Terror Radius is still present, while at Tier 1, he does not have any TR.
-
I hope they explain how the MMR works. Of course not in great detail, otherwise players might end up only doing what gives them the best Rating. But I cannot imagine how it should work, to be honest. Like the length of the chase is no factor, as long as the game cannot identify WHY the chase is long. Maybe if there is a penalty for dropped Pallets in it.
Because otherwise the Rank 15 Meghead can just use every Pallet without any Looping and get a better Rating than the Rank 1-Survivor who goes down instantly, because that Meghead used all the Pallets.
And well, another reason why I hope they explain it:
@BattleCast said:
It would be pretty funny if they just changed nothing and hid the ranks.
^ this can easily be the common conclusion players get. Especially since the MMR will most likely be hidden.

Am I the only one who feels more relaxed as killer? I prefer playing killer because I don't rely on matchmaking to give me a decent team.
Same here. I prefer Survivor, but Killer is not something that is stressful for me.
I guess there just needs to be the mentality that not every game can be won and not every game will have nice Survivors in it. But the majority of games have, so its fine.
(Of course if a Killer/Survivor behaves like a dick during the game, the other party will not be happy in Endgame Chat... But I guess thats logical)
@Topic:
Well, welcome to the Meta. Part of the reason I use DS is simply because I can guarantee that there will be an Obsession. If there is no Obsession, Killers tunnel like crazy, because they know that it cannot be punished.
Like, last time I did not use DS was when I tried the Dwight-Challenge, because I needed some room for Quick&Quite, Urban Evasion... Stuff like that. Guess what? The Freddy who I played against decided to abandon his chase and teleported back to me. No unsafe Unhook at all, but hey, he can do that, so he did. And since I did not have any DS, I went down two times, was the only one getting hooked before I died (because why should he not tunnel me again after seeing I had no DS?)...so, yeah. Fun game.
In the end, Killers will not use Meme Builds as well, so why should Survivors? Killers who complain about DS are usually the ones who could have avoided it, but did not do so.

Let me fix that for you.
"They are """"Ultra Rare"""" for a reason."
Because they aren't Ultra Rare, you get Keys and Moris every other Bloodweb
Keys are not that common because Survivors have quite a bunch of pink and purple Stuff to get in the Bloodweb.
Ebony Moris on the other hand... Are more common or uncommon than Ultra Rare.
Not that this does matter at all, something being rare (or supposed to be rare) does not make it balanced.
-
3 Flashlights. If there are 2, I think about switching to Doctor. I dont care about 1 Flashlight at all.
But I mostly bring Lightborn because I think it is funny that Survivors will do multiple tries to blind me instead of accepting that it does not work after the first time.
-
Imagine thinking that Rank means anything and punish Survivors for something out of their control.
-
They said at least 6 months. So they will be in the Shop some time in the future, but not earlier than 6 months after they appeared in the Rift.
-
Why should it make someone the Obsession tho?
-

Exhaustion addons were band-aid solution to counter having multiple sprint bursts, dead hards, etc. in one chase, because back in old days you could recover from exhaustion while running. Now when it's not a thing anymore, they're not really needed and it's just matter of a time until they rework them completely.
^ this.
Especially Berus Toxin is a BS Add-On, it is as good as the Green Add On (30 seconds or 90 seconds does not matter at all) and only costs 3000 BPs and is common as hell.
I mean, just imagine the new Instructions would have been around with old Ruin and old Toolboxes. Avoiding Ruin Skill Checks completely. Thats basically how Exhaustion Add Ons are.
They will most likely be changed over time.

Killer is the easiest it has ever been. If thats what you want... Sure, come back.
