Honestly, I wish we would get Negan as Survivor at some point. He is quite an evil character and would probably get a bunch of people excited. While TWD lost quality over the years, Negan is a role which is played really good (mostly because of Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Only bad thing would be that this would be a Survivor only-DLC (because a generic Zombie as Killer does not make sense), so there would most likely be some OP Perk in it, to make the DLC attractive for players who do not like TWD or Negan.
-
Everytime when I found the Hatch as Killer with a Survivor sitting on it, I had the priority to close it. So from my experience, nothing changed.

Well he pretty much supports basement camping that’s confirmed. And say it’s the survivor’s fault for “FeeDInG” the killer Lmfao. I just love how people likes to defend their opinions even if it ends up not making any sense.
Not only that. He also thinks that Moris are fair and balanced. No point in discussing with him, I gave up myself.
And well, it is quite clear that DS while not being an Anti-Tunnel Perk is punishing tunneling. While this is not the sole intention of the perk it is logical that someone who goes after the Unhooked guy will have to eat the stun.

Hard to tell if this is a "humble" brag or he's doing a convoluted post about how SWF is so powerful you can go half a year with no perks and not die once...
Its a Bait. The same guy made up a Story in a (now deleted) Thread where he used Dead Hard, unhooked someone, took a hit while unhooking, healed the other person with For the People and so on...
Like, not even putting effort into Baits.

I'd much rather licenses be fully fleshed out if they were to be added to the game. I see so many people saying Jason (if he ever can come to DbD) should just be a skin for the Trapper but in my opinion that'd be a crappy way to blow such an iconic license.
I doubt that they will give Trapper a Legendary Skin to look like Jason. This is a huge waste of potential and potential money.
@Topic:
I dont think that licensed Cosmetics for Original Characters will work out. Because BHVR would still need to pay to use those licenses, which means that the respective Cosmetics would need to be quite expensive, since you have to take into account that less people will buy a Cosmetic than they would buy a Chapter.

All Survivors are P3.
All Killers except Nurse, Freddy, Oni and Demogorgon.
-
What a useful Thread. Really an enrichment to this Forum.
-
"Trapper recently was updated so that survivors cannot destroy his traps with a toolbox or the sabo perk."
To be fair, Trapper did not have any access to this Trap for some time when it got sabotaged, while Hag can simply place a new Trap. Let alone that Hag is on a Strength Level Trapper can only dream of.

And also to add to that, I never stated it was an anti-tunnel perk. I was addressing the survivors who use the excuse "just don't tunnel" when a killer gets hit with DS.
Did THAT particular Survivor say this?
-
DS is not an anti-tunnel Perk.
And its funny how you start the Clip with saying how well the game is going for you - I guess, it was a 4K? With... let me guess again... 2 Gens left?
EDIT: Just checked it. 3K with 3 Gens left and a Hatch Escape. So pretty much a 4K if you would have slugged. The DS really ruined your game, i see.
-
Keeping Claudette slugged. Sounds pretty easy to me.
But of course you can also open Thread 3000 about DS because you are not patient enough.

It raises the point.
Killers should not be able to see survivor items or check their profiles.
If I'm allowed switch at the last second I'm already able to stop them setting up to counter my item.
Checking Steam profiles let's killers know if its SWF and how many hours someone has played. Killers don't need that information.
This is an ongoing discuission. Surely the Killer should never see the names or Profiles of the Survivors. Gameplay-wise there is ZERO reason to see those.
But Items - if Survivors bring 3 Flashlights, the Killer should have the ability to equip Lightborn (for example). Sure, most Killers just dodge the Lobby, which is kinda sad. But preparation in general makes sense.
@Topic:
Someone wrote in another Thread that the Devs are aware of it and looking for a solution.
-
Yes.
I would say that you dont play Onlinegames when you know that you will have problems while doing so. The other 4 players in the Trial dont really care if you Ragequit or if you have power outages, the game is hurt in the same way, regardless of the reason why someone DCed.
-
Isnt MLGA detected by EAC?
-
Doing Gens is probably the most boring thing to do as a Survivor. But doing a Gen and then realizing it was a fake one and you just spend 80 seconds for nothing sounds even more boring.
Let alone that 80 seconds of Slowdown without basically doing anything sounds too much.
-
Watched a bunch of Youtubers playing the game back in 2016. Was my favorite Project to watch at this time, and I started playing once I had a decent PC.
-
So you mean it is good that Survivors dont have any real value when buying a new DLC? Yeah...

Oh, but isn't it harder as killer than as survior to reach that?
In theory yes. But this does not mean that it is hard in general. Both Killer and Survivor are pretty easy to play. I mean, I was Rank 1 as Killer before I was Rank 1 as Survivor this Rank Reset. In general, I get more Pips/Game as Killer than as Survivor (because I get more Double Pips as Killer). And I would not consider myself a good Killer, I guess my Survivor would run my Killer around for quite a bit.
-
@podkall said:
It's at least a relief that this happens less on killer side due to some things like camping and tunneling not being strong in high ranks which filters them out pretty well. or am I wrong? are there more bad killers in red ranks than I think?
There are a lot of Potato Killers in Red Ranks. The easier Rank Reset affects Killers as much as Survivors. Not every Killer who is in Red Ranks (or Rank 1) deserves to be there.
-
First of all, stop thinking about something like "Gen Rush". "Gen Rush" is you not applying enough pressure on the Survivors so that they are free to work on Gens - which is their Objective. Once you force them into altruistic actions, they will have to spend less time on Gens.
This is nothing bad, because you are new to the game. With how Matchmaking is, you play against Survivors who are more experienced than you - in the end, you have to learn.
Also, you are not facing that many coordinated SWFs. SWFs, especially 4 man SWFs, are not the majority of players, and even 4 man SWFs are usually bad.
Like I said, the key is to force Survivors into altruistic actions. Meaning, hitting them, downing them, hooking them. Another Survivor has to go for the Safe and ideally you are chasing the next Survivor. This means, instead of 4 people on a Gen, there is only 1 on a Gen (at max). So the game is much slower.
@Sonzaishinai has linked a good guide. In general, ScottJund is someone to watch if you want to learn. I can also recommend OhTofu.
If you like the Pig, I 100% recommend this guide:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UOlX6azR3AScorpionz is a really good Killer Main and is a Pig Main. You can learn a lot from him. Highly recommended if you like playing Pig (she is my favorite Killer as well, and I would not say that she is bad to play at Rank 1).

Vaults obviously not fixed because I can confirm it is still a thing.
Maybe you are able to do it but in game files but not everyone will know that.
I didn't hear it was announced
I have not many problems with Vaults. Sure, I still get hit through Windows, but it looks way more fair than before.
AA was never actually able to be disabled in the game itself. However, they also announced that there will be a major graphic update in the future, I guess (and this is only a guess) that this will come with advanced graphical options. At least they know what players are asking for.
-
Are you using Internet Explorer?
Window Vaults-->Got fixed. No lagging back anymore.
Settings Update-->From what I have read, you are able to turn off AA again.
Crossplay-->Was announced in the Anniversary Stream, will come.

She can kinda guess where you are because OoO will light up when she is looking in your direction. But she will not see your Aura while you are cloaked.
-
I use:
Corrupt Intervention-->A little bit of Slowdown, but mostly to decrease the Map Size at the start to get out of this awful EW1.
PGTW-->Best Slowdown Perk
Infectious Fright-->Information and Snowball Potential.
M&A-->Smaller TR in EW2 and bigger TR in EW3 in a Chase which synergizes with Infectious Fright.
Usually I run Enduring instead of Infectious, but currently trying it out.

I mean, the Pig is trash, but not because she's OP or annoying or anything. She actually needs a substantial buff.
In any case, i don't think it's going against the Pig that people hate. A lot of Pig players tend to play her wrong, and like...continue to tunnel the people with helmets (traps) on. The same people who aren't doing generators.
Pig is not trash. Far from it.
@Topic:
I guess its more because quite a bunch of people are not using her Traps as Slowdown and go for other people, but are more like "Hurr, durr, I can hide my Terror Radius so I camp and tunnel". Same goes basically for every Stealth Killer.
Just yesterday I had a Wraith with Ebony Mori (but those are fine and rarely used, hahahahaha), silent Bell and purple all seeing who was just camping every Hook. Got less BPs than he spent on this game.
So yeah... This is more a Stealth Killer-thing and not a Pig-thing.
EDIT: Personally, I like to play against Piggys who are playing her correctly. And she is my favorite Killer to play as.
-
I dont know if it helps - you dont have to survive. You just have to be alive when someone else is leaving, if you die afterwards, this does not matter.
So if someone else makes it out while you sacrifice yourself will give you the Rewards.

The trick to getting the adept achievements is doing it in brown ranks and avoid using most killers' powers. If they have anything that one-hit-downs, don't use it. That means don't use your puke as Plague. Don't reach EW tier 3 as Myers. Don't stalk as Ghost Face. Don't use any chainsaws. etc. etc.
Also, avoid being too close to hooked survivors, you can't afford to lose points. Definitely don't tunnel if there's an obsession, you lose emblem points for getting DS'd. You need to aim to hook every survivor three times.
I mean, you may already know that. Not everyone who reads this thread necessarily does, though, so hopefully the info helps someone.
On the topic of changing the achievement... Devs are almost never going to touch achievements. On PlayStation, the only way an achievement can be altered is if the game changes in such a way that the achievement is literally impossible to get. Even then it can be difficult. That's why you still have to down 100 survivors from 24+ meters away as Huntress on PS4.
"The trick to getting the adept achievements is doing it in brown ranks" this is basically the biggest problem with the Adepts. Sure, it is stupid that you get punished for using your ability. But the biggest flaw is that it gets artificially harder to do it, just because someone is at a higher Rank.
Like, if I would like to do it, I would probably try in yellow Ranks. But this means, I would have to wait 3 months (from red to purple, purple to green, green to yellow) to actually be in yellow Ranks. Or I play A LOT of games really badly/AFK. This cannot be the way.

"admitted"? Sorry that I am using good Perks.
But yeah, I know, only Killers are allowed to use strong Perks. Survivors using strong Perks is a bad thing.
And well, unpopular (and true) opinion - the only good Perks for Survivor are second chance Perks or Perks which speed up the Objective. Other Perks dont make much sense.

and what if you change to a flashlight last second? how can the killer change their loadout?
And survivors can disable plenty of killer perk making 1 out of 4 perks useless
Last Sentence...eh. Killers can do the same with Survivors. With Add Ons. Or with their Power. Or because of questionable design decisions.
Regarding Last Second Switches - those are a product of lobbydodging Killers because they thought it is "their" Lobby. Nobody would last-second switch if they would actually get to play with their Items.
Even tho, who does Last Second Switches for Flashlights in 2020? lol

People keep saying this, and yet it's still one of the most-run perks, and every killer plays as if every survivor has it.
Clearly it's working for someone.
Its more like there is not really an alternative when it comes to Exhaustion Perks.
Lithe and BL are not really good since they nerfed BL. Head On is more gimmicky than actually useful. And the only other Exhaustion Perk, Sprint Burst, requires people to walk, which is annoying.

Survivor perks also should have flaws to use against them..with ph at least he has to work to shut down your perks..a flashlight user just pushes a button in the general direction of a hag trap because the hit box is huge, plus ph gives up the ability to use a bunch of perks in the process of denying you yours
"plus ph gives up the ability to use a bunch of perks in the process of denying you yours"
Yeah, which he can decide on his own when building up his Loadout. If the Pyramid Player decides to bring BBQ or PGTW and then decides to use the Cages all the time, it is entirely on him - he knew that he was playing Pyramid Head.
-
Difference is, the Killer can see my Flashlight and change their Loadout or the Killer.
I cannot see if the Killer is a Pyramid Head, making 3 out of 4 Perks useless.

Dont worry, you are 100% right with your suggestion. Was also suggested on the Forum several times since those automatically missed Skill Checks are a thing for several months.
(They were fixed for a few weeks, but then came back...)
-
Something which came into my mind:
Legendary Skins might be a sign that the ideas for new Perks are becoming less. Sure, Legendary Skins make perfect sense for licensed Characters, because it allows to bring more characters of a Franchise into the game.
But for original Characters? Even if there is someone coming to the game who has relations to an existing original character, they could also do a new Character. But there will be Legendary Skins for original Characters and while this certainly would not increase the grind, it might be a sign that the ideas for new Perks are running out.

I know some will disagree, but I'd like to see something done about hex perks. I understand there high risk, high reward, but totem placement is ######### and when you run devour and it's gone in the first 20 secs, it really blows. What about letting killers select a perk to replace the hex perk once it's gone, but it's only half it's normal power/strength? Only allowed 1 per match though. So, if you run 4 hex's and they all go down, only 1 will be replaced by a perk at half it's normal use. Your SOL on the other three.
Hex Totem Spots are an ongoing process and there are really good spots. But nobody talks about them. Here is an example:
This is between boxes on Groaning Storehouse, next to the Storehouse (the wall of the Storehouse is on my right). I would have never found this Totem, if I would not have used a Map (because of the recent Tome Challenge).
-
I would love to have 5 Perks.
However, the game was balanced around 4 Perks from the start. They should not open another construction site with the implementation of 5 Perks instead of 4 Perks per Character.

What if all 4 survivors were on that same level with no weak link?
I feel like look for the baddie is bad advice since they could run into a full team of 3k+ hour swfs
For the 0,1% of times this happens, yeah, this could be bad.
-
Usually Killers are at the better end when receiving new Perks. I dont consider anything outside of the Base Game (on PC) and the Halloween-DLC worth running. This includes stuff like Head On or Inner Strength, those are ok Perks but they compete with Meta-Perks. This is for Survivor.
For Killers, they usually bring at least Perks which can be used on some Killers.
If we look at Darkness among us for example - Jeffs Perks are garbage. Legion on the other hand has Discordance which is really good and Iron Maiden, which can at least be used on Huntress. Demise of the Faithfuhl - Jane has Head On, which is more gimmicky than good, Plague has Corrupt which is a strong Perk and Infectious Fright which is also strong on some Killers.
But recently this went down, even on the Killer Side. Ghostface had Thrilling Tremors, which is a strong tracking Perk - but not used that much, because BBQ exists and provides double BP. Remove the double BP-Part from BBQ and more people would run Thrilling. As an example.
Demogorgon was...meh.
Oni had Nemesis which is used sometimes and Blood Echo which can be used on Plague or Legion - but again, those have better Perks to use.
With Deathslinger and Pyramid Head I feel they released Perks which are not used, for both sides.
Aside from MoM, which was a pure cashgrab (you need to make a Solo Survivor-DLC good for people who neither want to collect very character nor like Bruce Campbell or Ash vs Evil Dead), there was no really meta-changing Perk on the Survivor Side.
So yeah, probably they dont want to bring strong Perks, which is a shame. I would love to have some Perks which make me think about changing my Build instead of 3 Perks which are like "Ok, I level this Character and afterwards every other Character to have 3 more Perks".
Also, Perks become more complicated - look at stuff like Brutal Strength or Iron Will. Easy, straight-forward Perks. And now we have "Do this to do this. Then this will happen. Cooldown of X seconds".
-
As others have stated, they started saboing again. And to do that during a hit Cooldown you need a really fast Sabo-Toolbox.

Nah, I know what I am talking about. Used to switch Killer whenever I saw one Flashlight, until I realised that one Flashlight does not make that much of a difference. They burn out quite quickly anyway when used for burning Traps. And I doubt that everyone runs a purple Flashlight with the best Add Ons for Duration.
If I see 3 or more Flashlights, I would not play Hag. But even then, Franklins is a thing. There is a reason why Killers can see the Survivors in the Lobby.
But buffing Hag in such a way would probably result in a Nerf in other ways. And I think that Hag is a Killer which is harder to balance than M1-Killers. You can make her too strong or way too weak.

The actual rank number doesn't matter, though...?
Same logic applies at any rank. If I'm Rank 10 and steamrolling other Rank 10's, then your stance is that I should....remain Rank 10? So I can keep facing Rank 10's? Because it was too easy to beat those Rank 10's, so I don't deserve to move up?
Think really hard for a minute.
Sorry, I am not that intelligent, thinking hurts. :(
Its fine to get a 1 Pip - you won, after all. But if you win by a landslide, you clearly won against players who were not your Skill Level. Why should you get the highest Reward at this point? Do you think you did something which justifies the highest Reward?
If I win without having to do anything, I would not think that I deserve a 2 Pip.

So, tell me if I have understand correctly: you can advance in the rift in two ways: either by taking on the challenges of the current tome, or by gaining experience, right?
If yes, can you tell me how the experience is calculated on? What do I get 800 XP for?
I just copy the wiki for you:
Experience Points
Experience Points or XP are how one levels up their account. They are obtained after each trial and are calculated depending on the following factors:
- Time played in the trial (1 XP = ~1 second)
- Highest Emblem Quality
- 18 XP for obtaining at least 1 Iridescent Emblem
- 12 XP for obtaining at least 1 Gold Emblem
- 6 XP for obtaining at least 1 Silver Emblem
There is also a "First Game of the Day" bonus (300 XP), that can be obtained for either side for completing the first trial of the day.
And each 800 XPs you get 1 Rift Fragment, 10 Rift Fragments award one Tier in the Rift.

Winning handily doesn't mean you played against potatoes. Even professional players (in other games) get shut out occasionally.
Besides, the game matched you with these people. You didn't go looking for bad players.
It's extremely weird that your opponent can actively harm you by being significantly worse than you. Not sure I've ever seen that in another game.
I am rather awarded for playing good instead of being awarded for having bad players as my opponents. But this is probably the common understanding of gaming - just have it as easy as possible to get maximum rewards.
I think if someone wins by a landslide, it is fine to not rank up that much. For both sides. Because they clearly did not face opponents which are good enough to justify a big reward.
