Yeah, its an outdated mechanic which only affects two Killers - Wraith and Nurse. And the Benefit against Nurse is so minor that nobody would really try to do it, so it only really affects Wraith.
It should be removed.

That's kinda missing the point. I didn't say there was anything wrong with losing to good players.
SWFs who destory Killers (you know, those which are very, very rare or, according to Forum and Reddit Killers are in 99% of their matches) will probably also be able to do the same while playing Solo.

60 ping. Here’s your extra second hitbox. Medium vault is bs.
Having good Ping does not mean that Latency is gone, even with Hit Validation. The Killer can have 60 Ping as well, this is still 120 Ping difference between you two. And this is nothing where BHVR can do something, this is just how latency works.
Besides that, Medium Vaults are fine. You should not be immune just because you press Shift (or whatever) before vaulting a window.

I dont see anything wrong when I lose against good players.

Well, I guess losing to something unbalanced is an excuse..
SWF is fine. Comms dont make the usual Red Rank Potatoes to godlike players. And nope, you are losing far less to Sweat-Squads as you think.

My generic trapper build is Corrupt, Ruin, Pop, STBFL. Use corrupt, it’s okay :)
Practice not setting basic traps (trapping a pallet for example). Look for loops and imagine which way you’d path and trap that area, preferably with grass. Trap narrow paths (between a rock and a tree, for example).
Out of interest, why do you decide to play with 3 Perks? Or 2 Perks, once Corrupt ran out?
@Topic:
Pretty important - you will not have the option to play Trapper AND finish the game with 5 Gens. It is not possible. So if you do your Setup, you should expect two or even three Gens being done at this point. But that is ok as Trapper, because at least you should have your Traps ready.
Personally, during my Corrupt Intervention, I only do Traps. Even if I see a Survivor, I just chase them away and continue placing Traps, as good as possible. Trapper is a Killer for Mid and Endgame, you want to be prepared for this.
Good thing to do - decide on an Area and trap it up. Dont spread your Traps too much, this makes it harder to re-use them, because you spend so much time walking around.

What actually happened to her? When she first came out I feel like her power was more consistent and reliable but recently when I have tried to use her the aim on her power is horrendous I struggle badly to even infect survivors. Any answers to that?
Her Puke does not aim correctly currently. It got fixed on the PTB, so should be fixed on Live with Chapter 17.

You need to increase generator repair time. Like 15 seconds per gen. Tired of playing with Ruin, pop and corruption all the time.
Awesome idea to play with 3 Perks. Or 2 Perks, after 2 minutes. Yay.
-
Scott made a video, which included the mistake of using the power in long bursts. That is what tru3 did. Or, to say it easy - you dont prove anything by showing bad Spirits who get looped for a long time.
-
Survivor Mistakes already get punished.
-
It got fixed on the PTB, so it should be live with the next Chapter.
-
Because Survivors dont have that many good Perks and they also dont get good Perks (at least not meta-worthy). Despite some people claiming that at least 1 Survivor Perk per Chapter is going to be OP, you dont see them that often. Different for Killers, because some Perks synergize well with Killer Powers, while they are useless for other Killers. But since Survivors are only Skins...
There was even less variety when they nerfed Balanced Landing, one less Perk which makes sense to use, sure it boils down to the same Build at some point.
And IMO, the only Perks which make sense for Survivor are either Second-Chance Perks (because thank you Killer Playstyles) or Perks which speed up the Objective(s) (including stuff like healing). Maybe Stealth, but eh.

I would be happy to see the Killers Ping in the Lobby. Especially, because I would have information how good the system is working, because I cannot really say for sure if the Killer now had 50 Ping or 120 Ping and if this made him still hit me, because it was meant to hit or miss me because his Ping was too high.
But so far, it looked good for me. There are still Hits which look odd, but thats just latency, even if both players have great Ping to the Server, there is latency between the players.
-
A Perk which counters DS would only be used by Tunnelers.

Not as in im standing in front of the window I have completed the vault animation im at least one meter away from the window but i still get hit. In comparison to my killer games i would smack off the window.
mkay.
I mean, Latency is still a thing, this cannot go away. I guess the Hit Validation only fixes the real bad connection hits and VPNs.
There will still be hits which look quite odd.

The problem is though, is that some people earned legacy and it was taken from them. BHVR has made it clear that they have no way to verify or fix that. Look at any other game company ever and they would have chosen to make legacy available for everyone, or at least tried. Maybe if you had purchased the game during the timeframe legacy was possible, they just give it to you. They have things they can do, but they refuse to because they worry they will give legacy to people who didn't earn it. In my book, that is fine. It's the way the legal system works, it is better to let a guilty person go free than an innocent person go to jail. I also believe it is better to give someone legacy who didn't earn it, then not give legacy to someone who did earn it.
Thing is, if those Skins would be made available for everyone (and I mean everyone), they would not be special at all. They are not even looking good.
Personally, I would base it on the Achievements. If someone has the respective Achievements, they should get their Legacy back at least for one Character of their Choice. And honestly, it would not matter at all which character. If someone has gotten a Legeacy 2 Meg and lost it, they can get a Legacy 2 Billy. But you will know from the Achievement that they got at least one Character for Legacy, so they should get this Character.
-
Pretty sure you have never seen a whole team dying because one Survivor messed up and gave immense pressure to the Killer.

I notice crossplay tends to have some bs hits. Had a game vs a spirit where i was completed the vault animation on a t wall and got hit at as my feet touched the ground. Post game it said they were playing from cross play.
This sounds fine, since Killers can hit through Windows. A window is not a solid Wall.
(I mean, it sounds fine from what you wrote, would need an actual video to see what was going on)

Has anybody encountered this issue?

Yeah, that guy probably had around 1000 Ping when you tried to hook him. So Hacking/Cheating.
@Topic:
Did 1 Survivor game and 3 Killer games. In the Survivor game I am pretty sure that 1 Hit would have hit me before, at least I got hit like that multiple times, this time it didnt hit.
The Killer games (1x Pig, 2x Huntress) I did not notice any difference. One Hatchet did not connect while a Survivor was doing a 360 around me, but it could have been possible that this would not have hit anyway.
Playing on 30-50 Ping usually.

There are no extra distance add-ons? If there were, Pigs would 100% be using them nonstop. Anyways, I have to agree that Shattered Syringe is bad in the same sense that Unrelenting is bad. If you are missing enough that you are getting "meaningful" value out of syringe, something is going wrong IMO.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1569560#Comment_1569560
I imagine an add-on rework would most likely split the add-ons closer down the middle. They can't ignore the ambush because it's an important part of her toolkit. They also can't ignore the RBTs because that's the whole reason Pig exists as a Killer in the first place.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1569610#Comment_1569610
IMO all of the Trap add-ons that inflict a status condition to anyone wearing a Trap are bad. They all encourage you to tunnel that Survivor, which negates the benefit of the RBT in the first place.
"I imagine an add-on rework would most likely split the add-ons closer down the middle. They can't ignore the ambush because it's an important part of her toolkit. They also can't ignore the RBTs because that's the whole reason Pig exists as a Killer in the first place."
Yeah, but some Add Ons can be removed completely. Like, I am no fan of the Status effect Add Ons either, because they just invite to tunnel the Survivor down when they are either exhausted or probably not healed because fo Mangled. Let alone that Hemorrhage is an Add On instead of just being Basekit (there is a trap in their Jaw...). Or the stuff which increases the Skill Check Odds or increases the penalty, both things which only affect inexperienced Survivors.
I just hope that they dont focus too much on the Traps tho, because I feel that some players think that the Traps are her only Power.

Wait once It didn't power to me, there was three survivors, one left with the key, and the 2 others still had to do 2 gens
Did you close it or did it close on its own? If it closes on its own (30 seconds after it was opened with a Key), EGC does not start.
-
Probably Combat Straps and Last Will for me.
Tampered Timer can be nasty, but I dont really like those Add Ons which result in a higher probability of a Head Pop, because it is still all RNG and RNG-Kills feel cheap. I really hope, when they rework Pigs Add Ons, that the Add Ons are more focussed on her Dash or Crouch and less on the Traps.
-
Personally, they should not exist. I dont need more useless stuff in my Bloodweb. But at the very least, they should be secret.
-
The only Streamer whose videos are constantly used on this forum as "evidence" is not good. What are you talking about?
And well, playing Killer just got easier and easier...
And:
"The problem is, BHVR won't balance the game around the potential that good survivors have, because most survivors simply are very bad. "
If the Survivors are very bad, why do Killers struggle that much? Because they are not as good as they think they are?

I feel this is a much better example. That would help your case more than harm it. Tru3 doesn't play perfectly here, either. But a damn sight better than the OP clip. And shows just how broken optimal survivors just doing gens can truly be.
This is a very bad excample IMO.
This is:
Old Rotten Fields
Old Doctor (considered one of the weakest Killers in the game)
No Perks or Add Ons

Thats the third thread with this video...

I had an idea a few minutes ago, which came to my mind after reading a comment. This is not thought-through and it would affect Solos more than SWF, so its probably a bad idea:
Survivors Repair Speed is reduced as long as they have not met another Survivor. For each "Reunited" Score Event, the Repair Speed increases (but it goes back to normal after a fixed period of time). So its not like that the Killer will have bad RNG when all Survivors spawn apart form each other and good RNG when they spawn together.
Also, this would make the Shrouds worth using, currently the Killer Shroud is bad for the Killer and the Survivor Shrouds are bad for the Survivor. But with my idea in mind, the Killer could get a Slowdown at the start of the game by using their shroud (even though it would need to be a higher rarity then) or Survivors can get rid of their Slowdown.
Slowdown should be minor of course, not something like 50% Repair Speed or similar nonsense.

Its more than the average survivor game if they only do gens or only get chased but survivors that go out of their way to cleanse totems, save and heal can average 20k easy and thats not including were gonna live forever
I mean, I hope we can at least agree that those are too many BPs for such a way of playing.
(Even tho, I think that this should not happen and the Survivors messed up, but still...)

he gets some points with it, a 4k in endgame would probably give around 10k without bbq and 20k with, an average game gives 32k-64k with bbq, if you think 20k is loads you must have some really low standards for a lot of bp
10k points is the absolute minimum, not counting stuff like Late Hooks or Late Sacrifices or Chase Score Events or Surprise Attacks. And well, 20k BPs is quite a lot for such a cheap way of playing the game. Thats also probably more than an average Survivor game.
-
Not bannable or reportable. Surely not the most fun way to play, but sadly, since Perks like NOED and BBQ exist, he gets this to work AND gets loads of points with it.
-
I admit, I did not read your post, but there is one thing which is clear:
Legacy was given to players who played the game in a time where nobody knew if it would survive. With more Grind, less BP Offerings and so on.
Event Exclusives where obtainable by playing the game. Yes, some people act like you have to sell your grandma to get those cosmetics, but nope, you just have to play the game. And there is no reason why someone who did not play DBD should be excluded.
Way different from Legacy.
-
Nurse requires you to spend weeks or even months to learn her.
Spirit requires you to have ears.
But yeah, you are correct, Spirit has quite a low effort for around the same outcome as Nurse. Thats why Nurse is probably not worse learning, since you can get the roughly the same results with Spirit.
She will probably be nerfed once again, at least there is no reason why Billy should get a Nerf (which was justified) and Spirit not. Yes, her Add Ons were touched and she got collision and a vaulting animation (latter should have been the case all the time), but at least when we get the Early Game-thingy the Devs have been talking about, Spirit will get a Nerf (in my opinion).

How would they know I'm going to tunnel match just started. 3 games like this in one day and thats when i break out freddy with thano, pop, dying light, and overcharge, ropes and brushes and thats not fun for survivors but those games aint fun for killers. I want to use all my killers whenever I want but i feel in red ranks with current map sizes, gen speeds, and certain killer mobility, and ok sure survivors skills :) just makes it so much harder.

No we need to remove SWF. That alone would solve 99.9% of problems in this game.
Yep, you are right, there are no problems in a game when that game is dead.
@Topic:
Always open for new Objectives. however, new Objectives need to be balanced so that it is not impossible to do Gens. 80 seconds per Gen and lets say average 40 seconds to get a Key would be too long, for example. So if you include something, the Gen-Time (aka pressing M1) would need to go down as well.
But I am afraid, that it is not really possible to introduce a second mandatory Objective at this point.
-
You have opened at least 5 Topics about this (that Console Players cannot participate on the PTB). There is no reason to give a Bloodpoint Compensation when you are not playing on PC.
Even if PC-Players can access the PTB, it will not help that much to learn the new Killer or how to play against it, overall, the PTB is not that good for testing. It can give some initial ideas and a first direction how good or bad some things are, but for real testing, the Live Server is the only option.
-
I said from the beginning that they will not include the thong. I think it was quite obvious that it will not be included.
However, after seeing the Pictures on Twitter, the Skin does not look that good IMO and quite different from the Contest Winning Skin. But I guess thats personal taste.
-
Not really worth to put time into it in my opinion.
Stuff like "Hook 10 Survivors" or "Cleanse 8 Totems" can be done without any help. The only challenge where it would make sense would be something like the Dwight-Challenge from the third Tome "Hide next to the Killer for 60 seconds" so that you know when you got the 60 seconds so that you dont have to do it more than neccessary, but this is so niche...
-
The Email says that they dont overturn Bans. So people who got banned are appealing to get the Ban revoked, which BHVR is not doing. At least this is what I understand from this Email.
This also confirms what BHVR is writing on this Forum - that they are not doing anything if EAC is banning people.

Huntress, easily. Especially because I see quite a lot of Russians play her and since Russians need to connect to EU Servers, they have a high ping which makes the Hatchets hard do avoid. (Maybe they are playing Huntress because of it, or simply because its a Russian Character, who knows)
She is also one of the lesser fun Killers to go against for me, I used to like to play against her a lot, but since many people seem to have high Ping with her (or are straight up VPNing) I dont enjoy to play against her anymore.

What version are you on? The one released a few days ago was 4.1.3, with the fix of error 111/112.

Is there a single good reason why they haven't disabled ivory and ebony mori's? They've shown in the past they have the ability to disable offerings without removing them from your inventory, so why not disable the one that almost universally hated until a rework is released? At the very least they could disable ebony mori's and leave the other two for dailies. It makes absolutely no sense. I'm just sick of waiting 10 minutes for a match just to see a hidden offering and know there's a 90% chance the match is going to be terrible and I should just DC or suicide and wait another 10 minutes.
I just hope that if they do rework it they don't repeat the insta-heal mistake and announce it in advance without disabling them. The game will be practically unplayable.
Well, Devs mentioned the animations at one point. But, lets face it, the animations are cool when the Killer is new or any of the players are new, but once you have seen it or are around for longer, most people will not look at them. And all what is left is the "I cannot lose anymore"-feeling on the Killer Side and the "What a Bullshit"-Feeling on the Survivor side.
Funnily enough, if people are saying they like the animations and thats the reason why Moris should exist, whenever someone promotes having them worked after the second Hook, they still dont like it. While it would be quite a boring fix, it would be the easiest one and the animation would stay, but apparently it is not the animation what they like about Moris, despite saying that.
(Best thing was reading that Moris are fine here...)
