I dont have any problem seeing Auras of Survivors on Generators. They are a little bit brighter than the Gen-Auras.
Maybe it is because of your graphic settings?
-
Umbra and Tofu most likely, but I cannot watch them that much anymore, since they stream very early in my Timezone.
Also Umbra is not streaming as often as she used to.
In general, I prefer chill Streamers who dont complain about SWF for 45 minutes after they lost one game.

50% is the normal rate with a single person it's 45% more with 3 people on a gen maybe even two.I just played a game that lasted 8 minutes. That's probably 45 seconds of chase much longer because, I never could get my full power and I, only got three hooks
So yeah I'm comparing the percentages of that.4 minutes total is the actual outcome if you cut the chases.
I dont even understand what you are talking about. You cannot compare Moris with BNPs, like, BNPs are so much weaker.
OLD BNPs which completed a full Gen - those were compareable to Moris. Should show you how long it took the Devs to nerf them.

Why does BNP do 50% of a gen with three people on it?
Are you really comparing 50% of a Gen (which is 10% of the Objective of the Survivor Side) with removing 25% of the Survivors early?
-
Something being "rare" does not mean it cannot be nerfed.
You notice that I wrote "rare" - because the Iridescent Mori was actually the most common Mori since there were only 3 Iridescent Items for Killers to get in the Bloodwebs. And for those, who did not even have Iridescent Add Ons (or only one of them), a Ebony Mori was even more common.

Imagine getting a cross map snipe with Huntress due to Lethal Pursuer.
I will not be able to do it (like, my skilled Huntress Achievement is on 4 Hits so far..), but I am really looking forward to see other people do that.
I would not even be mad if a Huntress hits me full Map right at the start due to Lethal Pursuer, but I would be scared at this point.
-
Personally, I run:
BBQ, Corrupt Intervention, Whispers and Brutal Strength. I will probably switch out Brutal Strength for Lethal Pursuer, once I have it on my Huntress.
BBQ-->Long range Shots (I never hit) and stonks
Corrupt Intervention-->The only Slowdown-Perk you need, gives you some time at the start of the game.
Whispers-->Huntress is a slow Killer, you dont want to spend much time in areas without any Survivor nearby.
Currently Brutal Strength-->Just to get rid of Pallets a little bit quicker to get back into the Chase quicker.
Lethal Pursuer-->Basically the same as Whispers - Huntress is slow, knowing where to go at the start to be in a ASAP can be crucial.
-
The most interesting Killer out of these 4.

The problem is that as "skill-check" perks imply, they adversely impact players that aren't as good at the game.
Having stacks of lullaby on a doctor will make newer survivors miss everytime and would guarantee you a win.
However, it will be completely ineffective against experienced players who easily hit greats. Put simply, it was the same issue with old ruin.
Edit: Not to mention console players that miss skill checks because of lag.
^ pretty much this.
The Perks might be effective against new Survivors, they will probably make their experience really miserable. But the strong Survivors will not be bothered at all.
@Topic:
Lullaby HAS to be a Hex. Otherwise new Survivors would have no way to get rid of Lullaby, which makes it an Auto-Loss for them. And this should really not happen.
Like, Lullaby is not that strong that it really warrants the Hex-Status, but you cannot make it permanent, it would kill the game on lower Ranks.

First, back in 2016 I watched a Let's Play from a popular German YouTuber. He was playing with his friends and that's when I first had the feeling like: "Hmm, should I get this game, it looks interesting." But I didn't buy it then yet.
Then a friend asked me if I want to buy the game since he'd play it as well. We both just bought it and played for a bit.
Now me, 5 years later with 4.450 hours playing without this friend anymore. He stopped only a few months later when we started in Sep. 2016. But during this journey I got to know 3 people I still want to meet irl. We became quite good friends.
Gronkh I guess?
@Topic:
I watched it when a big German Youtuber (Gronkh, lol) played it with friends. I really liked it and watched every episode. Once I had a decent PC, I started playing it myself.
And I played it A LOT since then.

@Aven_Fallen I'm sorry, but what? Since when is Victor's hitbox been an issue? I've always had to hit center mass on a survivor to get something out of it, otherwise I fly right through them.
Now, if you had mentioned the Twins camp/slug playstyle, I could see merit in that, but a hitbox? Really?
This is a screen from another Thread. He hit me where the blood is, you can see that I was not really near it. I did not move. Thats a pretty big Hitbox.
(The Screen is older and the DCed guy took the penalty, which was active back then...)

To be fair, P3-Quention looks really good. One of my favorite Prestiges.

@Rivyn said:
People DC against the Twins? Seriously? First I've heard of it. What does that say about you, as a player, if you DC against one of the bottom three killers in the game. . .
Twins are far away from being weak. And they are one of the most unfun Killers to go against, you get hit by Victors Hitbox (which is around the size of a bus) and spend the majority of the match slugged.
Obviously that people DC against Twins. Not that I would do that myself, but I also always lose my will to live when I hear the sound of Victor being released.
-
If they were able to do so, they will probably announce it when we have all the details for the event.
Some License Holders are more keen on Cosmetics than others, e.g. we have Demo-Skins which were not part of the show and we have Ghostface-Skins which are not in any movie or whatsoever.
And then we have Quentin and Freddy who dont have any Cosmetics. So I am at last 100% sure that those two will not get a Crown, lol.
-
This again? Something which will never happen in an actual game?
Like, tru3 does not want to do a 1v1 against Spirit because he knows that she is busted. But he wants to show something that proofs his opinion, so he plays Wraith (who is a decent Killer) against a highly skilled tournament team (again - people you will never see in public games) and he knew the result already, he is not stupid.

How dare someone playing a killer they want.
Why do you defend SWFs then? Oh, right! Its only the fun of one player.
I mean, someone who plays Spirit does not want the other side to have fun. Same for Survivors who burn Haddonfield - they dont want the other side to have fun.
And Killers can also have fun against SWFs. I they would accept that they also lose because they are simply not good enough and not because of SWF. :)
@ad19970 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2302443#Comment_2302443
But there are in fact people that even enjoy going against Spirit. Which killer one finds fun or not is extremely subjective. If everyone would dc on the killers they didn't enjoy going against so much, there'd probably be a dc in almost every match. And it ruins the fun for everyone that enjoys going against that killer. So I would argue just picking Spirit is not even close to the same as dcing.
For every killer, there are at least a few people that don't enjoy going against them.
Well, it was half a joke, but as I have written above, someone who plays Spirit does not want the other side to have fun. And yes, I wont change my opinion on that one. (This is the main reason why I dont like playing Spirit myself)
And well, while it will get better when the DC-penalty is enabled again, you will never avoid players DCing for various reasons. So I dont care that much anymore.
(E.g. yesterday a Jeff DCed against a Blight after their first down... A Meg DCed soon afterwards. I was not really bothered by those two DCs, I was more bothered that the Blight wanted to slug my SWF-Mate and myself for 4 minutes, because "we" ruined his game...)
-
"I for one believe one person should not have the right to ruin 4 other peoples enjoyment of the game."
I mean, this is exactly what a Spirit-player is doing...
But yeah, people should not DC. But they will do that, so I dont bother that much anymore.
-
Its alright for a Level 4-Challenge IMO. Yes, it will be hard and you will have to play mutliple games for it, but I think it is fair for a Challenge in Level 4 of the Tome.
But it will probably be one of the last Challenges I will do.
-
This should have been fixed with yesterdays Patch, if it is still happening, you should open a Bug Report.
Infecting Survivors granted Objective-Points, a category Killers usually dont have.

There is achievement for that: Mori everyone on T3. So i do not think him mori add-ons will go. But they can nerf them, infinite Myers is kinda op. But him base-kit needs some buffs. For example why he is so slow on T1?
Talking about the Tombstone Piece, the purple Add On here. The Tombstone (pink Add On) is better balanced, because it needs way more Stalk and has a Movement Speed-Debuff.
I think Myers should have a passive progression on his Tier 1 and maybe even Tier 2, similar to Oni, but a little bit faster. Or they can scrap Tier 1 completely and make it an Add On (built-in into Scratched Mirror for example).

How are they outdated?
They were created in a time where a lot of really busted stuff was in the game. Those Add Ons are also busted.
-
Myers - basically the prime example of a powercreeped Killer. When I started playing Myers was rated as an A-Tier Killer, now he barely makes the C-Tier.
Also, they can finally remove/nerf the Tombstone Piece and Tuft of Hair, really outdated Add Ons which should not exist anymore.

they can be selective as they want, it’s their video game. Especially in regards to their original characters they can EASILY unlink the sets in the game. They’re deliberately choosing not to. It isn’t necessarily them upholding the integrity clause of their contracts, it’s that they don’t even do it themselves.
Or they can just keep them linked because it is their video game.

Noticed how they reduced the amount of event stuff in the bloodweb during the last "event"? I had between 0 and 2 event things per bloodweb.
When years ago, we could get like 6.
Yep. Even last year, they reduced the number of Cakes mid-event, I guess when they fixed them. IMO there should really be two cakes per Bloodweb at default and then 1 Event Item for Survivors and an extra cake for Killers.
But they are not that generous with those anymore, sadly.

Ah, I am sad now. I was expecting hooks and gens as the challenge.
Sadly not. It is basically the same as last year, but except for Cosmetics as Login-Rewards, we can play for them as a Community.
The Crowns are the only real event-related gameplay and they are lackluster. Especially annoying to get as Survivor, since they will make it that you have to escape with the Crown. So yeah, recycled Event.
But I mostly care for the BPs, I have two Survivors and one Killer who need A LOT of BPs.
-
@Tsulan said:
We probably get some kind of offering in the bloodweb, that costs 3k points and awards 5k bonus points.
Instead for what the community has been asking for ages: Tripple BP Event!
Which would be the best thing for all the new players, that started out and don´t really see any progress, because of the few bloodpoints they earn.
The Cakes are actually better than Tripple BP-Events, usually people burn them during this time to get even more Cakes. So having 3+ Cakes burned should not be a rare occasion at all.
However, there are way too less cakes IMO. Like, the Bloodwebs should have at least 2 Cakes per Bloodweb as default. For Killer it will probably be like this, usually they get 1-3 Cakes per Bloodweb. Survivors on the other hand had like 1 Cake every 2 or 3 Bloodwebs last year, because they also got other Event Stuff. Now with Event Toolboxes as well, probably even less Cakes for Survivors, which will lower the overall BP-gain.
Killers will probably get the same amount as last year, since they will only have Cakes in their Bloodwebs.

Wait, that is the community challenge? Crowns?
You can get Crown-Cosmetics for every original Character. They look slightly different than last year, so "meh" on that one. And if enough Crowns were gathered, everyone will get a David King and Wraith (I think, not sure which Killer) Cosmetic. Similar to the Claudette and Deathslinger ones from last year.
-
They will work. Either they give 105% to everyone. Or 150% to one player. Or they will make something completely different, but they will do something!

And the "best" thing is - because some people cannot hold their fingers still, the Devs will spend more time on fixing this Bug so that we can have the whole nonsense-discussion in a few weeks again. :)
Instead of just accepting that it is a Bug and not trying to find ways to break the Cosmetics over and over again...

You seem to miss the part where this is a bullshit mechanic, that nobody asked for, that slows down a killer's momentum and removes pressure from the game. And they HAVE to do it, to make certain loops counterable? Yeah, bullshit on that.
And again - you wont lose a game because you have to break one breakable Wall (on the most Maps this is the amount of walls to break). The "problem" gets blown up way too much.

Fixing the bug is one thing, actively going out of your way to screw over players who had the bug is another. If you feel the need to defend them, kindly do it on another thread.
If you write something where others can see it you should expect that there will be other opinions than yours.
And it is fine that they went out of their way to do it, those Cosmetics were also bugged, now they are fixed. And if License Holders really were the reason (which is an understandable assumption), they dont care if the Cosmetics were glitched before or after the Bugfix, there basically should not be any possibility to have screenshots going around of said glitched Cosmetics.

It's not the fact that it's a bug,
It's that people enjoy the bug and it's one of the reasons they buy multiple cosmetics.
Fixing that over anything else makes 0 sense, unless it's a licensed character.
To be fair, some combinations just look horrible. Like, if you see a Nea with the linked Top, a short Bottom and the Harajuku-Head, you know that people should not be allowed to mix&match those Cosmetics.

To be 100% honest, I prefer to deal with god-tier windows from the past (Ironworks, Torment Creek, Groaning Storehouse, and the list goes on) than to deal with breakable walls. It is not their strength that bothers me, it is the fact that they are annoying.
God-tier windows > Breakable Walls
Clearly not.
Like, if I take Ironworks for example, I just hated it when a Survivor was ignoring every Structure next to them and just beelined to the Window. Then they reworked it and the Main Building did not have anything meaningful. Now you can use the Upstairs at least, but only one time, which is alright for me.
-
Binding of Kin IMO. I am not really the biggest Elodie-Fan, because currently I dont like any of her Cosmetics and I still have PTSD from her bugged Hook-Scream, but I totally despise the Twins. They are not fun to play as for me, even less fun to play against and they are the ugliest looking thing in this game.
So Elodie over Twins every day.

Honestly, it is alright. It is a huge incentive to play the Tutorial, like, you get two Characters once doing so. And most people will play the Tutorial at first I guess.
Not really worth any drama IMO.
-
Two Survivors on one Gen with Prove Thyself is still better than those two Survivors on two separate Gens.
The Perk is only used for the BP-Bonus, if you would remove that, nobody would run this Perk because on its own, there are better Perks to use.

Why do the infinite's need to be there in the first place?
Why do you complain about something which can be dealt with as Killer?
I swear, Killers are so sensitive - "OH NO, they added INFINITES!!!111 Yes, I can break the Wall, but I still wont do that and I will still call them Infinites!!11".
Some facts for you:
- Breakable Walls will stay
- Breakable Walls will be used on more Maps
- Just adapt
Really, I hate them as well, but the Devs will not go away from them, so just deal with them. Its not like it makes Killer unplayable at all. Not even close, Killer is still the easiest it has ever been (and IMO too easy currently), despite Breakable Walls.
At least it gives something to some Main Buildings, like Coal Tower (which was considered a balanced Map before they reworked it) or Ironworks. Same goes for Wretched Shop, the Window can at least be used once with the breakable Wall. The only problematic Main Structure is the Storehouse and this not even because of the window next to the breakable Wall, but because of the other Window which is very strong.
-
@Pulsar said:

Eh, Dead Dawg has walls that turn the Saloon into a nigntmare.
Groaning Storehouse has the infinite.
Wretched Shop can also have its infinite.
Then break the wall(s). If you dont break the Walls and complain about Infinites, I dont really know what to say anymore.
-
"too op"? I guarantee you will NEVER lose a game because of breakable Walls.
(Except when you open a breakable Wall which favors Survivors, but this is on you then)
-
Johnny Sins.
Only a Teacher/Fireman/Soldier/Doctor/Plumber/Racing Driver/other can fit in DBD.
-
Yes, I think this Add On became too strong since they buffed his Speed. Before one Add On Slot was used for Windstorm basically all the time, so you could either use the Silent Bell OR All Seeing. Or you used both and had a slow Wraith.
Now you can use both AND have the Speed Increase, basically like old Wraith with 3 Add On-Slots.
Too much IMO. Especially because now you see this Add On more frequently than before.

Maybe it would help. They certainly do a bad job in their own field given the let things like the colorblind pr fiasko happen. And that wasn't the first time a post on a social media platform resulted in a shitstorm.
Aren't pr departments also responsible for stuff like that?
No. What they are allowed to say comes from a higher position. They probably knew that Colorblind-Features were on their way, however, as long as it is under NDA, they cannot say anything about it, they are not allowed to do so.
-
The old Looks. But not pre-Realm Beyond, the really old Look. Like, when Maps were dark and simply looked beautiful.
-
Fog Whisperers are only for advertising the game. They get some Auric Cells to show off Cosmetics and thats about it.
They are not there to participate in Balance Decisions. If you would do that, you would have to get every Fog Whisperers opinion to make it fair. And while I would appreciate if Fog Whisperers like Tofu would have a word in balance decisions, other Fog Whisperers (or ex-Fog Whisperers) should not even be close to balancing the game because they have no idea of balancing.
BHVR MIGHT consider opinions of Fog Whisperers and might even show them stuff they are working on for getting their opinion, however, we will never know about this, because stuff like this usually comes together with an NDA.
EDIT: Also, imagine the shitstorm in the Communities when Fog Whisperer As idea is brought into the game but Fog Whisperer Bs idea not...
-
I dont think you can answer it.
A chase which gets prolonged by wasting a lot of ressources is not necessary to be good, just because it took longer.
Also, chases tend to be shorter the more the game progresses, because of the removal of said ressources.
And even then, it depends how the game is - if I get chased for 30 seconds and use 3 Pallets at the start of the game, this is pretty bad. However, if I get chased for 30 seconds and use 3 Pallets at the end of the game and the last Gen gets finished because of this, it is not as bad.
-
Both 1v1 and 1v4 need to be considered. I always read that the game is a 1v4, but the 1v1-aspect cannot be ignored, because this is the actual Survivor/Killer-Interaction. And if I go against a Spirit with Stridor, basically nothing from my side matters.
Survivors should not be able to dominate Killers in 1v1 situations, however, their Skill should not be invalidated in 1v1 situations (like it does with Spirit or Deathslinger, as examples).

"First Bugfix" How is a company like bhvr not able to fix everything in one update?
Do you really think that every Bug requires the same effort to be fixed? Some Bugs are really easy fixes, others are way more difficult. Sometimes BHVR is not even able to recreate the Bugs on their end, which makes it take longer to fix them (because they dont know what is causing them).
So either they release a first Bugfix and fix SOME of the Bugs, or, they wait until they can fix all of them and release a Fix in one Patch, which means that some Bugs stay in the game longer than needed. It should be quite clear which option is the right one.
