And survivors are suprised they see more tunneling...
That what happens when they use perk that is hard counter to hit&run and force commit on every chase.
Oh come on, not this again. Killers tunnel regardless. Everytime when something on the Killers side is nerfed or when Survivors get something good (which happened exactly once since David King was released before Boons and was MoM) Killers go "Thats why we tunnel" or "Killers will have to tunnel more".
If you want to tunnel, do so, but dont claim you do it because of Boon-Perks. Killers always tunnel, but stretch themselves a lot to find a justification for it.
@R2k said:
Boons needs to be one time use only. That's only change i want.
This would make them super-weak. You would have to buff their effects to insane levels to justify it. Or, make it that the Killer needs more times to snuff it and can be interrupted. Both does not sound good to me.
@Topic:
I totally agree. Shadowstep is also not used anymore from what I have seen, it was only a thing while Circle of Healing was disabled (probably to test out the new mechanic or for the achievement where you have to bless Hexes). Boons are strong, and I have to admit, strong enough to let Survivors change their builds.
But this is good and I would also not say that they are OP. I dont see them often, but when I see them, I always think that if they are nerfed, this person will just replace it with another Meta-Perk and it would be the same build as always. I also did not have any problem to play against them, the only thing what happened was that I had to cleanse 1 Shadow-Step mid-chase, because it was messing me up. A better Killer probably would not have needed that, but this is the only time where I thought it was a bit annoying.
The only change somewhat needed is that Boons only affect the Trial on a horizontal basis, not vertically. E.g. if you have a Boon on the upper floor of The Game that only the upper floor benefits from it and not the lower floor. Because their range is technically doubled on multi-floor Maps or it makes it uncomfortable to snuff out for the Killer on Maps like Asylum if you bless a Totem in the Main Building.
But this is the only thing I would change.

If someone presented me with video evidence of X, I'd watch it to see if it contained video evidence of X (unless the person was known for hacking or some other extreme outlier).
Once again, your extreme bias is showing, given that other videos/users have expressed similar concerns.
Eh.
My bias is showing because I wont watch Content Creators which I dislike because they are either lying or not experienced enough? Ok I guess.
If it is like you said, it should be fixed. But as I have stated, I have not experienced it in my games (but I have only seen two validated Dead Hards so far when I was playing Killer, most DHs used against me were for distance).

Ignorance is bliss.

Nah. But if I see that said Content Creator was already lying in a Tweet OR did not understand basic mechanics of the game, I will not waste my time watching a video of said content creator.
You would not do that either.

I'm sure you have seen this video by now.
Nah, it was linked to me. But I did not watch this guy, I have seen a Tweet where he complained about healing Builds because he did not realize that two Survivors picked up another Survivor, which resulted in the normal healing time.
So either this person way lying or did not understand what was happening. not really a good source for information, so I dont bother to watch a 12 minute video.
But since it seems to be the only source for this kind of stuff, it is probably not reliable anyway.

on one PTB you became bloodied as you were continuously injured throughout the match, but people complained it ruined the point of Prestige-ing your characters so they removed it.
I have honestly not seen anyone who complained about it. They just scrapped it without any notice.
(Also, it was never really implemented, it was just present on one PTB and also announced as something being tested, without ever coming back afterwards)

Weird way to put a negative spotlight on someone without addressing the issue of it eating killer powers, but I can't say I'm surprised.
Eh.
I have not had any issues so far. Let alone that the person I quoted did not mention anything in that regards, only that DH was fine for them before the Bugfix. Which leads to the conclusion that Survivors are allowed to have bugged perks. :)

yeah. I personally break the hex totems every time. Rather that then take 24 seconds blessing a totem, only for the killer to roll up and defend it, making it a complete waste of time.
Pretty much this. I only blessed them, because it counts for the Achievement, when I used Boons for the Adept or the Tome. But otherwise, 24 seconds are painfully long, you are better off with cleansing Hexes anyway.
-
The first Perk is just a Bloodlust-Perk. Instead of breaking a Pallet, you bloodlust it until the Survivor breaks it. Makes unsafe Pallets even more unsafe and safe ones potentially unsafe, even tho it might take the Killer a while to get the Pallet break with that if they are unlucky.
The second one is quite fun, but I dont really know how you actually want to use it in a way that it is useful. I mean, we have Dark Devotion which transfers the Terror Radius, and this is already not really used. It might be fun to be undetectable, but once the Survivors know what is up, it is very easy to find the Hex-Totem.

the chase is extended because of the visual bugs most killers when they see blood coming off a injured survivor stop chasing which means the chase is extended because we are receiving the wrong info
extending the chase makes it a technical issue I've explained this to you like 4 different ways I really dont know how to make it simpler
If you stop when you dont see that the Survivor is downed (you have Icons, come on..), this is on you. But who am I that I expect that a Killer uses their brain and realizes that something did not happen, despite getting the visual feedback...
As I said before, if I manage to know what is going on, everyone will. And so far, I only had two validated Dead Hards, because most are used for Distance anyway and the few that were not used for distance were panicked DHs, which were easy to deal with.
But I dont think there is any point to discuss this, you will not have a technical problem, you dont go into a longer weapon cooldown. You just have a missed attack cooldown. And if you really stop and need some seconds to realize that the Survivor is not downed, this is on you.
I will end the discussion here, there is really no point.

but we aren't talking about Dh for distance you brought that up I'll say it again for the third time for you in caps so you understand
WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE ANIMATION THAT PLAYS WHEN YOU HIT A SURVIVOR WITH THE NEW DEADHARD AND HOW IT EXTENDS CHASES EVEN LONGER
Yes, because when they use Dead Hard, they dont end up exhausted on the ground because the Perk was bugged and is now working as intended.
Just the information the Killer gets is wrong, but this is only a visual bug and there is no technical bug.

having to chase for 30 more secs is a disadvantage how are you not getting this it's like your reading my post and just ignoring it
also here's a pro tip good survivors can always use deadhead for distance cause good survivors never run into dead zones so I dont wanna hear the wait it out argument you can only wait it out vs bad survivors good survivors with the new dead hard can react to swings and only use it when they need it
But the recent change did not even do anything to "DH for distance".

how tf does it not have any gameplay consequences if I have to spend another 30 secs to a minute chasing them that is very much a consequence are you ok my guy?
Because this is how the Perk is supposed to work? If you swing into a DH, that is on you.
If they are not able to use DH for distance, you can wait it out.
But it is not like you have any disadvantage, you dont go into weapon swipe cooldown or anything, which should not happen.

The only way I can see it fair is that Killers should suffer 0 cooldowns or slowdowns for this. So if they can make it like "revert" or something than it would be more fair.
Watch the video I posted earlier. You get a missed attack cooldown, because you missed an attack (shocking). But other than that, nothing else.

I’m not saying I got robbed, am I? And no, it isn’t fair to replace one bug with another.
And to say something broken can’t be fixed is speculation. They SHOULD fix it. Validation is fine if it works as intended, but right now it doesn’t.
It is at least more fair, since the new Bug does not have any gameplay-consequences. You see the Blood and the Scream, but the actual game is not impacted. This was different with "exhausted on the ground".
The Devs have said multiple times that this is their way how feedback is handled. The Killer gets it immediatly, otherwise they would need to add a delay into any Killer/Survivor-Interaction. Even if this will only take the fraction of a second, it might result in a really clunky experience.
Obviously they should fix it, if it is technically possible. But if not, I would prefer some Screams and Blood over an overall clunky experience.

A bug is “fair”? This is why no one takes your biased posts seriously.
You are not getting robbed of anything. So it is fair. The feedback should be reworked, IF they can do it (I doubt that it is technically possible for DBD).
Before, the Survivor got robbed, they pressed E in time, but ended up exhausted on the ground. This was them actually being robbed.
(Which just shows the double-standards of Killers... One side has a visual feedback-bug, but is not robbed actually (Killer), the other side got robbed (Survivor), but the later one is ok, the first one not)

No, you hit them, but because they had a worse connection than you they get a second chance.
Nope, you did NOT hit them, they used DH. You just get the feedback that you hit them, but they actually reacted on time with DH.
But I know that some Killer Mains seem to be unable to accept that. But it is easy to get the mindset that it was not meant to hit and just move on. If I can do that, everyone can do that.

It was tested, with special attacks and regular attacks.

Both Perks are very bad designed.
The Killer Perk is just bonkers. The more Hooks the Killer has, the more pressure they have already. So why should they gain even more pressure? Especially when getting 8 Hooks, regressing a completed Generator... The insane BP-Bonus would make this Perk a staple anyway, but the effect on top is way too strong.
The Survivor Perk really bad for the first Down. The second Down might be frustrating for the Killer, 60% increased wiggle time is a lot, so there needs to be a hook very close. And the third down is just bonkers again, you rob the Killer instantly of their Kill with that. Basically a little bit weaker than old DS.
-
While it would be nice to collect more faces, it would take ages to get some. It took me an eternity to get Jakes Face on Bubba and this was when switching Killers in the Lobby was possible, so I switched to Bubba whenever I saw a Jake in the Lobby.
If I look at Survivors like Adam or Jeff AND not being able to switch Killers, it will take years to get all faces on them.
If they make it possible, they should at least lower the requirements a lot. 5 sacrifices per Character would be fair, not 25 like the original ones.

@Aven_Fallen Im not talking about the amount of times killers bring it to the game its the fact that it keeps getting knocked out fairly easily at the beginning of the match which makes it seem to me being useless.
I mean, if it would happen as often as Killer players claim, they would not bring Ruin. Since Ruin exists (even in its initial form), players complained about it being gone in 20 seconds. However, they keep running it, so it is safe to assume that they are exaggerating.
If it would really be gone that fast that it becomes useless, it would be used far less.
-
If the Perk would be useless, I would not see it in over 70% of my Survivor-games.

Why hide rank, unless it’s because it’s not working. Show the rank /mmr. Let people know they suck… instead of boosting them with a false sense of accomplishment with the grade system
I mean, I can understand why they are hiding it, because it would just become the same as Ranks - as long as you are not at high MMR, your opinion is not valid. Same with Ranks, on the one side they said that Ranks did not matter on the other hand, if you did not agree with someone, they said "You are not Rank 1". I mean, I even had to post a Screenshot that I was at Rank 1 and STILL someone said it might have been fake, despite my name being the same ingame as here.
Would be the same with MMR. Probably just more pointless discussions, why person Xs opinion with 1800 MMR is more valuable than Person Ys opinion with only 1600 MMR.
The only amusing part would be if many players, who claim to be at high MMR, are not actually at high MMR. But thats about it, there would be more negatives than positives. (Personally, I would like to see my own MMR, just because I am curious, but I also know games where Ratings are open to see for everyone and sometimes you get harrassed just because you are not as good as someone else).

I think he makes good points.
He basically says it interacts with 40% of Killer powers unfairly and gives examples. I think it's worth a watch.
I mean, I have already seen one very stupid take from this Content Creator. So they either used this Clip I have seen to lie about an issue which is no issue (healing Builds) or they were not aware of it. Either of those does not really want me to watch videos which most likely have an opinion I get on the Forums already for free.
@scubasyd said:
Yep even trutalent said he wants to stop playing killer. I want to see our mmr or go back to the old rank system
Would be great, maybe his bias will get less over time.
But, I am just curious - what would you do if you are able to see your MMR and see that you are at a low MMR? The excuse that the game becomes hard at high MMR (as it should be) would not count anymore.

That they can make a post on the Forums about it.

This is the problem with a Perk like Infectious Fright and, to an extend, Starstruck.
Infectious Fright is basically useless on most Killers. Yes, you can run it on any Killer, but you wont get much value out of it. But it becomes VERY strong on a few select Killers, like Nurse, Oni, Billy or even Plague and Myers.
Same goes for Starstruck, even tho the number of Killers who benefit from it is even smaller.
However, changing the Perks will probably do nothing. E.g. I never understood why Infectious Fright allows special attacks to trigger it, while Knockout, which is way weaker, excludes them. But even if it would be "only basic attacks", it would still be a very strong Perk on Nurse, but some of the other Killers mentioned could not use it.
So, in the end, we are stuck with a build like this on Nurse, since the Devs most likely will not change the Perks and they wont change Nurse to make her an actual balanced Killer.
-
He only has a black face-Cosmetic, because one of the original Survivors is black. If Claudette would not be black, but white, he would not have a black face-Cosmetic.
For any reason WHY someone is using this cosmetic, you cannot say it. Saying that they do it because they are racist is just stupid and name-calling. I used it as well when I unlocked it, simply because it was the first Cosmetic I got for Bubba. Nowadays I use the P3, but even if I would use the black face, does not make me racist.
In general, this discussion was held multiple times on this forum and it is as childish as always. But please, at least dont call players racist just for using a cosmetic.

Do you think that how DH validation interacts with certain Killer powers is fair currently?
Yes. If you swing into a DH, it is your fault. You should always expect a DH, especially now that it is actually working as intended. I started playing when DH was working properly, so for me, it only reverted back to this state. So it is not entirely new.
The only Killers I somewhat play on a regular basis who gets hindered in their power by DH are Nurse and Blight and you wont have that many problems, even if you miss a swing/go into fatique against a DH-User. They are S-Tier Killers, after all.

Hit Validation with pallets and Dead Hard; Moris nerfed; killer perks nerfed; killers nerfed; etc…
Oh, and did you forget that a little thing called SWF was added to the game?
There’s been tons of stuff done to make life for survivors easier.
Killer Nerfs are no Survivor Buffs. Otherwise, Killers would have gotten A LOT of Buffs since the game came out.
Hit Validtion is to make the game actually functional. Especially in regards to DH, which was bugged for years.
And SWF... Come on, it was planned from the beginning.
-
This would only benefit Hatch campers and punish every Survivor who does not camp the Hatch. If you start camping the Hatch when the game goes downhill, you will most likely get it. But if you still try to win WITH your team, the Killer will most likely get to the Hatch before, since they are faster and dont have to hide.
So it would benefit the wrong people and punish those who still try to win. Not really a good idea.

But right now when a totem cant be cleanse the map get disable asap but for boon they dont do that
They never disabled a Map for an uncleanseable Hex-Totem. Survivors had to deal with it until the next Patch. I remember that the Farm-Totem was uncleanseable for 3 weeks.
They also disabled Maps whenever a Killer had problems with it. E.g. the Bus on Autohaven was bugged so that only Survivors could enter it. Or invisible walls on Red Forest-Maps where Surivvors were untouchable in some Tiles. They act quite fast with stuff like this, when it hurts Killers.
@Topic:
Well, it would be bad advertisement if 2 out of 3 Perks of a Chapter are disabled. Also, they disable Map Offerings, which at least makes it not possible to abuse said Maps. And I guess, they dont disable the Maps, because otherwise they would have to disable like 5 Maps (at least this was the case before the most recent Bugfix-Patch).
Also, as I have written above, most of the time when something bothers the Killer, it gets disabled. To add to my examples - Hill-Bug... Survivors were able to get stuck on Hills, this was in the game for weeks. Killers also managed to get stuck, but they were able to free themselves with Lunges. Survivors just were stuck.
So, it would be nice if you would not create some bias regarding "Survivor Bugs get fixed immediatly, Killers have to suffer", because this is not the case.
-
Yeah, its fine.
-
Nope. Rewards regardless of previous gameplay and the "counter" is just dumb.

Yup yup. The killer can now see blood splatter, hear a scream, and even the beginning of the injured surv animation, but if the server decided "nope no hit" they scamper off unhurt. Kinda like hits across pallets is too now.
It could be worse. The blade wipedown animation could also play without a hit, but it doesn't thankfully.
"The blade wipedown animation could also play without a hit, but it doesn't thankfully."
I mean, why should it? It was not a successful hit, so no reason to play that animation.
-
Yes, it is.
The Hit is validated and the Server decided that this is no Hit (because they used Dead Hard). But because the game gives you the feedback immediatly, you see the Blood and the Scream. This will probably not change (at least not anytime soon), since it would mean that there would be a delay after every interaction, which would probably make the game feel very clunky.
Basically, if this happens, accept that they used you swung into a Dead Hard which they used correctly, which is the reason why you did not get the hit.

@Brokenbones said:
This just goes to show how clueless BHVR really are.
It's Gideon's MEAT plant not Gideon's PALLET plant
Jokes aside, They could probably remove a decent chunk of pallets and the map would still have plenty to work with. It just needs less pallets and a few more windows to play around then it's mostly fine if you ask me.
This would be the ideal Rework - less safe Pallets and more Windows. However, this did not happen with the graphical Update, so I doubt it will ever happen. The Game was always one of the most boring Maps in the game, as Survivor you just run around safe Pallets (which every donkey can do) and as Killer you just follow a Survivor while destroying dropped Pallets. Interesting games with Windows are not possible for either side.
However, what they could do - remove all breakable Walls and the Pallets they added to compensate for them. There are so many Pallets because some of them are not useable, because they are Deadends due to breakable Walls. So unless the Wall is broken (which will never happen) or the respective Gen is done, those Pallets are useless, so they added more to compensate for that.
And IMO, The Game is clearly a Map which does not need any breakable Wall.

They should remove killer "crutches" as soon as they remove survivor crutches. How much do you think survivors would hate it without dead hard, BT, DS, etc
Whataboutism. There is a reason why Spirit cannot see the Survivor, giving her a pinpoint indication is simply wrong.
But I dont think it has any sense to argue with you.
-
The Add-Ons in the video deserve a Nerf, this is for sure. I dont even know how they left MDR the same as it was. And the Dried Cherry Blossom is just a big crutch which makes it super-easy to track people. The Downside is basically nothing, since you get such a strong Upside, even worse that you have the same Downside twice when using both Add-Ons, which makes it even more meaningless.
Also, they should try the dust, they were planning it anyway and they should test it.
-
I like the event in general. The first Halloween-Event I played was the one in 2018. 2021 cannot compete with 2018, but it is A LOT better than 2019 and 2020.
The Archive is also great, I like the challenges and the way to get two Cosmetic-Sets for free. Pumpkins are a neat addition as well.
The only thing bothering me is that not all Gens and Hooks are event-related. This was done during the Lunar New Year-Event, and it was great. Without that, the Offerings dont really give any BPs at all, especially if you need to be on the Gen to finish it as Survivor. During the Lunar Event, you had a potential of 15k BPs when burning an Offering as Survivor and 2k BP/Hook as Killer (I dont remember if the same Hook could give multiple BP-Boni).
This is a little bit of a letdown, the only reason why the Offerings increased the number of something was because the original Event focussed on Crankers and Hooks, which did more than just giving BPs.
And MAYBE they could have given out Mikaela for free to everyone. Probably not possible since they want to make money with her, but I did not really see a point to buy a original Survivor (aka a Skin) for real money and I highly doubt that many have actually bought the Chapter with real money.
-
Basically depends on what happens when I get downed. Most of the time, he just brings me to a Hook and goes off. If he picks me up and I see "aaah, Agitation", the experience is not really positive...
-
If you remove the Buff he gains with the Add-On, sure. Hillbilly should not have Chargetime Add-Ons in the first place, it is ok that the ones he get either have a big downside or are very specific.
