It was my go-to Map for those "Kick X Pallets/Gens/Walls"-Challenges. Kicking Gens sucks hard, so I always burned Hawkins-Offerings for those challenges. There are lots of Pallets and most of them dont need to be kicked right away, giving good progress for challenges like this.

They are pretty easy to here, if you are already in the vicinity of them. OP is obviously asking for a way to locate (at least by a vague area) them from a long distance, so the sound they make within short range is irrelevant.
Hope that makes sense to you now
But then again, do you want to run a Perk to detect Totems? Like Small Game or Counterforce? I would not waste a Perk Slot on something which might become completely useless if nobody is using Boons.

Ok if i boon a totem on one side of the map and you are on the other side are you going to know exactly were the boon is if yes i need your hack plz
I mean, what do you want? A Perk to track Totems? Killers would not run that.
And if Survivors run full Map all the time just to heal, they should do so. Less time on a Gen.

I swear some of yall have never played killer and it shows cause its not loud at all and you can't even hear it at all unless your like 12m from it and it has a 24m range so that sucks
Maybe you should increase your volume or clean your ears. They are pretty easy to hear.

The only thing from this list which is somewhat bothering is the flashlight macro. Not because it annoys me, but the sound is not really pleasant for me.
Some things listed are even counter-productive. Like going for DS and Head On, they lose their DS and dont gain much distance due to Head On AND I know that they wont have Dead Hard available. Same for blinding at Pallets, the Survivor would make more distance if they would just run away. But especially if they do it while injured without Iron Will, it is just a free down most of the time.
Running at me with BT just results in me tunneling this person out. IMO if someone runs at me or bodyblocks when I clearly try to go for another Survivor, I will just tunnel them. They are basically asking for it.
But overall, it is not really annoying. I dont care for the most part.
-
Yeah, this thread can only go well...
IMO the focus should not be "create a LGBTQ+-Survivor". It should be create a Survivor with a Backstory who is LGBTQ+. And so far BHVR has nailed the backstories and they are working together with a company to create a character which serves well as representation.
So saying that the Survivor should be trans or non-binary as their primary feature is the wrong way around.

First I said she’s OP but now that I watched streamers playing as and against her I think she’s really not that strong.
I think people need to realize that not every killer can be looped like the pig for example.
Lets hope she doesn’t get nerfed into the ground because she already isn’t that strong.
"I think people need to realize that not every killer can be looped like the pig for example."
I mean, as long as you dont complain about Shift + W... This is what you have to do against The Artist. Which is a shame, she is one of many Killers recently released which follows this pattern, which makes the game really boring for Survivors and Killers.
-
This was the same complaint last year. And I have not seen the Medkit Add-On being used the whole year, until this years Halloween Event where new Add-Ons were available.
But I guess we need something to complain about, otherwise this would not be the DBD-Forum.
Dont forget the mighty flickering Flashlight.

Does not make much difference other than the Game map. NHL is going away soon I think.
It makes a difference on other Maps as well. Basically every Map which has a two-story structure with a Totem spot on the upper floor.
E.g. Asylum, Coal Tower, Chapel... All of those take extra time away from the Killer to snuff out the Totem, while Survivors benefit from it on a different floor.
IMO this is a Nerf which is acceptable for Boons.
-
Personally, I run BBQ, Corrupt Intervention, Sloppy Butcher and Enduring on Wraith. As Add-Ons, either Windstorm and Swift Hunt, double Swift-Hunt or, my personal favorite, The Serpent (uncloaks when breaking something) and Shadow-Dance (faster breaking of Pallets/Gens/Walls, faster vaulting, faster locker opening).
Not the strongest build, because almost no Slowdown (just sloppy Butcher and Corrupt Intervention), but I have fun with that.

Bro the fact that there's a tournament scene on this broken game is wack. Lmao.
Tournaments in DBD are more of a joke than anything. You can have a good laugh, but they are completely different from regular DBD-play. The only thing that translates into public matches are that Killers claim to go against tournament squads all the time (while those mostly dont even play Public matches).

I don't think he is. I think BHVR is flat out lying and just doing whatever they want. I hardly ever see anyone playing Pinhead. When I do it's almost always a 4k escape. There is no chance that he is "over performing".
BHVR would have no need to lie, they can just do changes if they want to. They can also make him 4.4m/s without any reason.
-
Been saying this for years. Main point back then was the Oni weapon with the face attached to it. It looks great, but not everyone wants to look into nostrils the whole game.
Killers should 100% get a first person view in the shop, since that is what they will see when playing the game.
-
I gave free Hooks in the past. Mainly during Double BP-Events, but I stopped doing it. Sometimes Survivors want to give me Kills, usually after a bad game, but I dont take them. If I lost, I lost. But it happened sometimes, just a few days ago while I am struggling to get my Trickster-Tome...
The number of times the Killer gave me the Hatch or let me escape decreased over time. It rarely happens at all, but most of the time I also dont take it. A few days ago some Nurse player (apparently this guy had a 203 4K streak at once, 4 Slowdown-Perks, double Recharge), wanted to let me do some Gens and get out. I just went afk. Like, its nice, but it wont make a bad game experience good if I am allowed to escape.
-
I think Keys should be buffed, but not with anything involving the Hatch. But the Aura Read or general effects they have should be improved. Especially since Keys are super expensive BP-wise. If you want to run a Skeleton Key with Add-Ons (which is the only Key which has a decend number of charges by default), you are looking at 15k BPs at least probably. Given the poor BP-gain for Survivors, this is too much.
So either they should consider buffing Keys and their Add-On for non-hatch things or at least reduce the BP-cost.
-
It makes Spirit super-easy to play. Especially when paired with MDR (which did not receive a Nerf, you can ask every semi-competent Killer player and they will say that MDR is busted), since both share the same Downside. Running both basically makes the game play for you.
-
31 - I guess you can say I like DBD.

I own a PC and not a Console to have a better experience in gaming. I feel sorry for Console-players, especially the Switch-Release was pure arrogance from BHVR (PS4 and XBox already had problems back then and still they released the game on the console with the weakest hardware).
But I dont think PC-Players should suffer just because BHVR decides to bring the game to platforms which cannot handle it either due to limited hardware or poor optimization.
-
Bad idea. Was already discussed multiple times in different variations, this would just create a Survivor-Meta. There would be 0 reason to play most of the Survivors if you have to dedicated a few Perk Slots (in your idea, at least 2) to the Teachable Perks. Like, I main Nea, I got all of her Cosmetics and she has the most stuff in her inventory (even if I dont use Items very often, basically only for Tomes). So I am stuck with Balanced Landing (which is one of the worst Exhaustion Perks, but since I dont run any, it would be alright) and then either Urban Evation or Streetwise. Great. Meanwhile, a Bill can have two Meta-Perks. Same goes for Meg.
It would also make cherry-picking for Killers way easier. Killers already cherrypick their matches (e.g. by looking at profiles for SWF to get the easier games), if a bunch of Bills and Megs joins, they would probably just chicken out. But if there is a Lobby full of Ashs, Aces and Quentins, they would hit the ready button ASAP.
And even IF Survivors stick with their Mains, they wont get any Skins for them. There would be 0 reason for BHVR to create a Ace-Skin if they can just create another Meg-Skin, which will sell way better due to better Perks which can be used.
Also, the same can be applied to Killer - why should a Blight be allowed to run Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer? Why not limit it to only one Perk form other Killers? So that they dont have the best Slowdown available + BBQ for massive BPs? I can answer that - because it would be bad game design.
Players should be free in whatever they want to use. It might not be liked by everyone, but they can do whatever they like. No reason to give any unreasonable limitations.
-
I dont really know how people can say that he does not fit visually. Meanwhile, players simp over a group of edgy teenagers aka The Legion (especially Susie), who also dont really fit into the game IMO.
@Topic:
For me, he is very dull to play as and against. It only takes 6 Knives to remove a Health State and he has 44 of them at base. So if you are not at a high wall loop, you will at least get injured very quickly. If you are at a high wall loop however, Trickster cannot do much.
You can compare this with Huntress, but it is less extreme. You get an audio notification if she raises a Hatchet and those also dont feel so stressful like the Knives. And on high Wall Loops (like Jungle Gyms or Longwalls) you can still try to get a Hit in at a window or Pallet. And this is a Health State, but you wont get a Health State worth of Knives in at one Pallet Drop.
I play Trickster a lot currently because of the Archive-Challenge (hitting Survivors 5 times from 15 meters away). And since I am bad with Trickster, dont really like him overall and get mostly indoor Maps, I cannot really stand to see him anymore. Also I struggle to know what 15 meters are, lol.

Are you from his region? Just curious. And yeah I agree games still can be wildly inconsistent despite MMR.
While the frequency of A.I.-like loopers has increased for me I too still get phases where I'll face literal baby survivors which kinda irritates me because it feels like it's literally "either - or".
Either it's a flawlessly playing squad that kicks my arse or it's a bunch of seemingly inexperienced players who fall for anything resulting in a quick 4k which is just as boring for me as a match I can't win.
I dont know where he lives, I always thought he is more in the northern regions of Germany, while I live in West Germany. But in general, I used to go against a lot of German Streamers before Dedicated Servers. A few days ago I went against DasGnik the second time since they were implemented, this shows how rare it was. Before Dedicated Servers, I went against people like Schwabbeltown or Gnik at least once or twice a week.
And yeah, I also get different teams. When I played Doctor for the Halloween-Tome, the first game I got absolute Baby Survivors, they lost with 3 Gens to go on Cowshed. Next game, Doctor again, I did not get my second Hook until 4 Gens were done on Shelter Woods. Two games back to back, the difference was just huge. And I doubt that this one win against Baby Survivors increased my MMR so much that I get Survivors who give me such a hard time that I only get 1 Hook until 4 Gens are done on one of the more killer-sided Maps.
-
@Yamaoka said:
That's not a secret. Even ol' veteran killer main streamers get destroyed when they face top MMR survivors.
Watched a german killer main yesterday called SchwabbelTown. That guy really knows what he's doing as a killer, has total awareness and is always focused yet even he ended up getting rekt often.
Fastest game he had yesterday was 5 gens in 3 minutes and 20 seconds on reworked Crotus Prenn Asylum. That was WITH Ruin/Undying.
In the post game chat a survivor told him to "play better next time".
That's what killer gameplay on a high level has become. Arrogant survivors (because running in circles and holding the action key/button on a generator is so skillful) and killers who basically are there to make the gen repair simulator "intense".
I'm starting to realize why I always face Nurse or Blight when I play survivor.
EDIT: He too played Nurse after that 3 minute match and instantly found a cheater so instahealed, speed hacked, everything.
The other survivors defended the cheater in post game chat saying he deserved it for playing Nurse.
That's DBD.
I mean, I watched Schwabbel a bit a few days ago, there he had a Nurse-game which was done in a few minutes. Even with MMR, the matches can be pretty inconsistent.
And I would not say that he is always focused, he often forgets how many Hooks the Survivors have, leading him to tunnel the wrong Survivor if he needs someone out of the game.
But overall, one of the most chilled players at high MMR. (And with him I dont question that he is, played against him a lot before Dedicated Servers were a thing)

Nah this game needs DS.
This game needs an actual function or Perk against tunneling. DS is just the closest, even if it is not an Anti-Tunnel Perk.

Both are not really annoying IMO.

In the anniversary event stream I posted, they were announcing that all map reworks moving forward would have a pallet budget, with reworked loop strength. So, I'm not sure why you're saying "to be fair." This was stated well before "the realm beyond" reworks were announced. From what was said during that the anniversary event, all of the maps were implied to be slated for this "pallet budgeting", because it was around the time freddy and springwood were reworked. Springwood was basically the concept for future map design.
Yes, but "The Realm Beyond" was announced afterwards as an purely graphical Update. In the 4th Anniversary Stream. And there were not many Maps after the initial rework of Springwood, only Hawkins (which has bad Pallets), Dead Dawg (which also has quite bad Pallets), Sanctum of Wrath (half of them are safe, other half unsafe) and Midwich (mostly unsafe Pallets). So if we dont look at the maps which should have been reworked just for graphical purpose, until RPD (which is a special case), they released Maps with mainly unsafe Pallets.

I think 1.1 million is the max
I have read on Twitter that someone got 1.6 million. But I doubt that anyone can have more than that, they probably check which is the clostest value, so someone who got 600k was closer to 100 than 200, while someone who got 1.1 million was closer to 200.

BHVR does not need to do this to gain Data. They did it with Bloodlust, because Bloodlust exists in every game as a base mechanic. So they needed to disable it to gain Data without it.
If they want to look at No Exhaustion-Perks, they can look at games and Survivors without Exhaustion Perks.
If they want to look at No Gen Regression, they can look at games where the Killer is not using Ruin/PGTW/whatever.
So there would be no point in testing it over a weekend.
And given the last time, some Killers did not even play, the same would happen with No Gen Regression. I mean, some Killers would even have to think about 4 new Perks, you cannot expect that...
-
@Huge_Bush said:
They really should implement a new animation that kicks in after a minute and third seconds, where if the game detects that both the killer and a survivor haven’t moved, it would allow the survivor to either lose collision for 15 seconds or just have the ability to push the killer out of the way.
I agree. Would be fine if they do it once AFK-Crows appear. Just being able to lose collision for a few seconds would be enough to remove bodyblocking like this entirely. (I mean, Killers or other Survivors can still try and annoy other players with that, but at least the impact would be much smaller)
-
This would just create a Meta. Survivors who have teachable Meta-Perks will be more prominent than already and new Survivors will most likely not be played at all, since they mostly have bad Perks.
Why would you play as Yun-Jin with 3 bad Perks when you can play as Bill with a slightly stronger Unbreakable and BT? Or why would you use any of Felixs Perks if you can use a better DS as Laurie?
Also, there are players who only maxed out one Survivor, because Survivors have been Skins since the game was released. Or players who bought a lot of Cosmetics for their favorite Survivor. So they either need to accept that their Survivor is worse than others or they have to play another Survivor they like less.
Something like this cannot be implemented anymore, way too late.

Will never happen, the Devs wont make this mistake again.

Would agree on that one. I always liked the way Keys work outside of the Hatch, but the only Key with a decent number of Charges is the Skeleton Key. And considering that Survivor BP-gain is pretty poor, you are looking at at least 12k of BPs to use a Skeleton Key with somewhat useful Add Ons. So a lower rarity would be nice.
(In general, it would be nice if Keys would be buffed now so that they are more attractive to use for their Aura Read-capacity)

Tombstone Myers is an example of a mori that is earned, it's his entire power and it takes ages to charge up.
It may be a little overtuned but it doesn't need removing outright.
1 Tombstone (either the piece or the actual Tombstone) does not require that much time to get the respective Evil. It only gets a lot when using both pink Add-Ons.
IMO they should have nerfed or removed this Add-On long ago, surprised they did not do it when they reworked some of his Add-Ons.
Two days ago I got tombstoned without seeing him before, because someone gave him so much stalk. So I take that "mori that is earned" with a grain of salt when I die without any fault...

This is most likely an oversight which will be changed at some point. Same with DS not deactivating when blessing a Totem.
-
To be honest, I would be highly amused if they would add a Totem Hunting Perk for Killers. Because then Survivors can recommend mediocre Perks to Killers like those do when Survivors complain about NOED.
The only Nerf that should be given is that Boon-Totems only apply to the floor they are on. So if you bless a Totem on the Top Floor of The Game that you dont have the effects on the bottom floor. Or that a Totem blessed in the Asylum (upstairs totem spots) does not apply to the surrounding area.
But I feel that Boon Perks might indeed be nerfed way too much.
And then Killers can go back to complaining that all Survivors run the same Perks... =)
-
It is way better than Ranks.
-
To be fair "The Realm Beyond" is graphical Reworks. It was already a surprise that Ormond received Balance Changes (which is basically, more Pallets, but more unsafe Loops).
In general, as long as Bloodlust exists, shorter Loops but more of them will not work out, to achieve this, Bloodlust needs to go away.
Personally, I would prefer Maps with a small amount of safe Pallets and a huge amount of unsafe Pallets with Bloodlust gone. However, I doubt that this will happen anytime soon. If it will ever happen, because we know from the last experiment that Killers want to keep their Bloodlust and most Survivors are not able to play unsafe Pallets. And as long as those things dont change, I doubt that anything will happen, since they balance for the majority of players, and those are not great at the game.

Fun to play as. But not really enjoyable to go against. Mainly because every Pinhead I face is using Engineers Fang.
-
IMO the first thing which should be looked at - is it possible to do on all Platforms? If not, it should be considered an exploit and fixed. Like, anything which messes with DPI should not be in the game because it is unavailable for console players. And this already shows that it is not intended.
For the rest, I dont really know what those techs mean, I probably know what the Blight player is doing in those scenarios, but I dont know which name describes which tech. But I feel if all of those would be removed, Blight would still be an S-Tier Killer, since he still has that insane mobility and can do some stuff at Loops.
Bringing up Nurse is a weak argument IMO, just because a design failure exists and will never be fixed, does not mean that other things should stay in the game.
-
Three since the Patch. But I did not see more than this before the Nerf, so it did not really change.
