  • Easy solution - dont care about stretched resolution.

Sure, it should be fixed. But it will not be fixed, at least not anytime soon. So why should I care about stretched resolution? For most cases, you dont know if the Survivor or Killer used stretched resolution and there is no way of proving it. You can only assume. And why should I get worked up on something I cannot prove anyway?

The only way to know if someone is using stretched res if they are a streamer. And most of the time I just have a good laugh if I see that Blight-player with his Blight in the lobby who is more wide than tall and think "Oh my, stretched res of doom" and thats all.

IMO caring about this is just a waste of time. You will have a bad mood without any way of changing anything about stretched res or even knowing if they are actually using it.

  • Names and Profiles should be hidden in the Lobby anyway. There is 0 point gameplay-wise why the Killer should see those.

  • Nope, it is good that DH was fixed. And they are working to fix the unintended part.

  • I mean, you could have checked Patchnotes.

There's already a thread on this about this specific match.

Also, he's playing Legion against a solid 3man SWF. Like the guy at end-game chat said, no one made him pick Legion.

Probably his viewers made him pick Legion. For a solid tip of 10 Dollar, tru3 plays your Killer and build and complains about it, just telling you that you should run a different build.

Otz actually said the exact opposite this year, lol. And did a video to prove it.

4k with each Killer back-to-back | Dead by Daylight - YouTube

I will say this, these forums are Killer-sided and need a nerf! 44 upvotes for your statement.

Yes, those Forums here are killer-sided.

What people also tend to forget - even if the Streamer in the video of the OP lost this game, he wins most of the games. Losing is pretty rare for him.

Which part of this was bullying? Did they insult him in end game chat?

Killers like to say that they got "bullied" when they lost.

But nope, the Streamer is the only person in Endgame Chat who starts an argument. First thing is claiming that the Survivors were using stretched resolution. Without any evidence or whatsoever.

But hey, if a Killer is saying that, it must be true.

Huh, you're right. Strange. I suppose with several of the very large maps like Shelter Woods and Rotten Fields, the size is less noticeable because the map design is "massive dead zone with stuff on the edges" - compared to map like Gas Heaven (or Haddonfield) where large walls increase the map's travel time from A to B. Both Swamp maps have a similar principle, but to a lesser extent. And Azarov's is absolutely massive, but you can afford to ignore half the map due to the way it's split up.

I'm not sure what I'm getting at here, because I think Eyrie's a pretty balanced map, but a lot of the large maps seem deceptively more reasonable due to their layout. It's interesting to examine their real size versus their perceived size - like Badham feels huge due to all the fences, but it's actually slightly below average.

I mean, I also thought this Map was larger. The same I thought about Ormond. Maybe it is because of the really big Main Building.

    @VikingDragonXii said:

Let's face it....if a Killer comes with a map only that Killer is viable on said map.....except RPD.....no one is viable on that accursed map from Hell

Aside from Trapper, I did not have a problem on this Map so far. With Trapper it is clearly the lack of grass and the bright Floor.

    @Topic:

I would not call it the new Ormond. What they have in common - Blight suffers on this Map.

  • I now watched the first 5 minutes. And obviously he has to mention that it was a viewer build he was using aka it is not his fault that he lost (even tho, Plaything, No Way Out and Deadlock have decent Slowdown-Potential, if you actually get hooks).

However, I dont really get why he even left the Quentin at the start. Yes, you injure multiple people with Legion, but the only two Survivors he saw where at the Saloon. Why would any Killer go to the Saloon to chase people, when an injured Survivor is nearby?

And second, two times in those 5 minutes he has all Survivors on one spot, so why not trying to frenzy them at this point? Again, waste of time and it makes it impossible to do Locker Techs.

  • There is a difference between finding one Totem and bless it or searching for all 5 Totems. Cleansing 1 Totem does exactly nothing to NOED, at this point, you already wasted time without any benefit. (Yeah, 1k BPs, but those are whatever)

I also rarely see that Survivors bless different Totems. Often enough when I snuff out a Totem, the same will be reblessed.

  • Oh, a tru3-vid. Some time since we had one of those. At least it is not one where someone wants to claim that the game is so broken with the proof of a tru3-video where he 4Ks in the end.

But from previous videos, he probably made a bunch of mistakes. I have seen him play Oni and not slugging with Infectious Fright (which is nice from him, but this is not how Oni works) or playing Clown where his Bottle Throws were horrible. I dont know if I will watch this Legion-video, I cannot really stand this guy with his contant complaints and unreasonable ideas anymore.

  • Almost all the time. I have also been dodged in Lobbies with 4 Survivors being ready, all without Items. Probably because the Killer thought we are an SWF or something.

When I clicked "Unready", the next Killer actually stayed and pressed Ready...

    @Topic:

I agree, it is not correct that only Dead Dawg Saloon has a breakable Wall. It should be removed (and the Shack should be resized, it is a little bit larger than Standard Shack, if I remember correctly).

I am glad that they did not add Breakable Walls to other Shacks.

  • I dont really see the point. Because everything important is seen via Auras, you know where Generators are, you know where Hooks are when you are carrying a Survivor, you know where relevant things for your power are (Bear Traps, Hatchets when out of it).

  • @burt0r said:

Then i hope you're prepared for really long survivor queues.

Back before X-Play was Implemented, these forums were full of complaints about survivor queue being 20-30 minutes long on console and I remember killer queues also being longer on PC due to the, yes, all in all smaller playerbase on PC alone relative to all consoles combined (due to the game being free sometimes on PSN and Xbox game passes).

The ratio of killer to survivor isn't great on console due to control limitations by controller sticks.

+ back in the day (especially on PS4), it seems to happen that Red Rank SWFs and Newbie-Killers had the longest queue times and the Matchmaker threw those groups together at some point, because both were waiting super-long, increasing the Matchmaking Range further and further. And in the end, low Rank Console Killers waited 40 minutes for a game, just to face a Red Rank SWF who was waiting equally long.

  • This would mean that nobody would use Boons anymore. Why would you spend at least 14 seconds to set up a Boon when it can be gone in 60 seconds? At this point, you can expect to only get one heal out of it, so you can run Self Care instead - takes a bit longer than setting up a Boon and Heal with it, but you can do it multiple times.

The issue are not the Boons, the issue are the healing Speeds. So either introduce a cap to healing Speeds (I dont know, 150% at max so that green Medkits still have a purpose, just throwing in a number here), or, what I like better - make CoH-Healing Speeds a fixed value. Healing someone else does always take 8 seconds in the Boon-area and healing yourself does always take 16 seconds. Yes, this would mean that Perks like Sloppy Butcher or Coulrophobia (lel) will not apply, but this also means that the Survivor cannot stack a Medkit, Healing Speed Add-Ons, Botany Knowledge, etc. to get heal times of 5 seconds.

  • Remove the Hex-Status and make it Token-based depending on how well the Killer did over the match. Each Hook gives 1 Token. So in the end, Killers who did well are rewarded.

Killers who just camp the first Survivor they found or are simply too bad will not get their training wheels.

It’s definitely grabs and not just catches. It’s badly worded but I guess since they can’t as easily change the wording on achievements/trophy’s on consoles it didn’t get fixed….

I honestly dont know anymore, I did the Achievement over 2 years ago.

  • When it is indeed grabbing, you can try to run the Honing Stone. This inflicts Dying on them if they free themselves, so they would need another Survivor to get out of the Trap. If they notice that you have the Honing Stone (they get an Icon), many Survivors dont even try to get out of the Trap on their own, since they would be in the Dying State afterwards.

  • Are you sure that you have to grab them out of Traps? Since the Achievement reads "catch".

  • He is not bad or trash at all. But we know that this Community likes to overreact to Nerfs, the Nerf to his Lunge is not really significant and the Nerf to All-Seeing is also not much (they should have reworked the Add-On into something else).

Wraith is decent, you can win games with him. In the end, he is an M1-Killer, so his strength is limited. But this is alright, you dont need to put in much effort to play him, so it is fair that he is not super-strong, but I would not call him bad or trash.

  • "What do u think ? Is making a game free for a period of time a good deal ? Cuz i dont."

From what I know Hackers can get a new account for just a few bucks. And Hackers are banned in waves, so they have this account for a few weeks.

The game being free on Epic Store for a short amount of time will probably not change much when it comes to Hackers.

Hopefully none at all. Oblivious players will use those stats and be like "Well, Killers have over 50% kill rate, they all need nerfed!"

Yeah. Or Killer players will find any excuse why Killer is "miserable" by stating that BHVR is lying in their stats or that the stats are flawed in any way.

I hope BHVR will never release statistics again.

  • It is ridiculous to complain about a bad map for a Killer who can take on almost every Survivor they face.

  • Time to wear the big boy pants for Killers and not dodge Lobbies because of Items. :>

(Personally I think it looks better this way)

  • @Aurelle said:

RPD has the same issue. I guess.the RNG is just really bad or perhaps it's a bug.

At this point I would also assume that it is a Bug on Midwich. I have seen three or four Threads popping up with that issue. And from my experience, Midwich used to have way too many Hooks, you had 3 Hooks in each Corridor at some point. But I have not played on the Map recently, so I would not know if anything changed.

  • Can confirm. I think the sound plays when he used his tentacle and it goes back into his body.

  • The Oak-Offerings are some of the most useless Offerings, at least for Survivors. Because they are designed with the fact in mind that 4 Survivors can potentially burn them. So one of them is super-weak and does almost nothing.

In general, on most maps there are so many Hooks, you will barely see a difference.

    ^ this.

Those players go for interactions with the Killer, the teams which are constantly bodyblocking or trying to go for Flashlights are not the teams who want to win every game.

The sweaty Survivor Teams are those who minimize the interaction with the Killer to a minimum, those who try to get Gens done as fast as possible without getting into chases or anything.

  • Will always be Balanced Landing, but sadly they killed the Perk. Not really any point in using it anymore.

Currently only using Adrenaline as Exhaustion-Perk, also pretty nice. I dropped Dead Hard before they fixed it, I simply could not deal anymore with being exhausted on the ground.

  • Right now I have a long Killer queue and my Survivor Queue would be instant.

I wrote this post after coming frustrated from midwitch where I lost 2 hooks because of this problem. It's been happening to me the most on swamp and sometimes farm maps too, it's pretty random but it feels like they are making changes to this system pretty often.

This is interesting. I have not been on Midwich that often recently, but from what I know the Map has plenty of Hooks. Often 3-4 in one Hallway.

    I'm not too excited.

It feels like all we've gotten this year is licensed killers, and most of them just aren't that fun.

Not to mention, I'm just not that a big fan of the Ring movies.

Same here. We got 1 1/2 original Chapters this year. And it can be expected that the Anniversary Chapter (which follows after the Chapter they just announced) will also be licensed. If that is the case, we would have:

Licensed (Resident Evil), Licensed/Original (Pinhead/Mikaela), Original, Licensed, Licensed.

Too much, really. I enjoy original chapters way more and I am honestly sick of licensed content at this point, especially since Pinhead.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

The devs don't understand good hook spacing. On realms like Swamp, Haddonfield, and Midwich, the game doesn't understand that there's different floors and walls in the way, so you get the worst hook spacing possible. Combine that with the survivors' purple oak, and there's like no hooks on the map.

I give you the Swamp, but on Midwich the Survivors can hold hands while on the Hook.

Ik i even checked the settings, but it just does not work, the game does not let me drop the survivor and they just wiggle out.

Are you trying to drop them next to a wall or anything? If they cannot be dropped on the ground, you cannot drop them.

Also, did you check Loadouts? There is an Otz-Video out there where he was confused for not having any Hooks to use, but the Survivors used Sabo-Toolboxes with the Protective Gloves (which dont give the Killer a Notification when saboing a Hook). Considering that there is a Sabotage-Challenge in the most recent Tome-Level, it is not impossible that Survivors are using those Gloves.

Dude, you can't do anything at shack as Legion without any entity block perk, no double back, no changing direction, absolutely nothing. They can see your red stain through the walls. Unless the survivor is really dumb and don't know what to do

You are talking a lot of nonsense. You bring up 4 man SWFs who are experienced at the game on one side and one of the weaker Killers on the other side. This does not make any sense at all. If you want to make a statement, you would have to compare things of somewhat equal strength.

  • @PlayTwink said:

@Aven_Fallen I wanna see how you counter a window shack as Legion without bamboozle or crowd control. I'm really curious if you will manage to down a survivor before entity close that window.

Ok, this makes me curious - you have problems at Shack?...

  • I dont think it is possible to bet. If you are a Streamer, you might show your gameplay, but I am very sure that at least one person will find multiple mistakes in your games. Since nobody plays perfect all the time.

And usually, the REALLY good players of this game dont really ######### about it that much.

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2697636#Comment_2697636

Yes. Even the best player cannot play win against 4 well organized SWF that most of the perks don't work on them like plaything, histeria etc. I don't even comment on slow down perks, because they're useless too. The game was always meant to be 1 killer vs 4 strangers.

I highly doubt that you are as good as you think you are.

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2697633#Comment_2697633

You can't improve any higher with the currest state of the game.

Pretty arrogant to say that. So you think that you are on the best level you can ever be?

  • IMO there is no point in using this Perk, since Pain Resonance exists. Which has the same problem of being RNG-dependant (using it on The Artist while prestiging her, so far I almost always got to a Scourge Hook), but its effect is way better than Gift of Pain.

So if you want to play a Scourge Hook-Perk, you will go for Pain Resonance. There is not really any reason why you would want to use Gift of Pain instead, unless you just prefer it for your own reasons. OR if you want to use two Perk Slots for Scourge Hook-Perks, but I dont really think that this is worth it.

Yes but her bugs that have been for like 4 years are still there, even if she is the strongest and needed a nerf she sits with us.

    Not disagreeing honestly.

My Nurse-games are pretty much bugfree. The only Bug I sometimes get is that I cannot press M1 after teleporting, but this is rare. Annoying, but so far it only ruined one game for me.

But Bugs dont really justify that this design failure of a Killer can still be in the game.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2696461#Comment_2696461

Why should a killer have to lobby dodge any lobby? If they've lost the match before it's even begun, something's wrong with your game.

This...is not even my point. But thanks I guess.

I just said that it is very unlikely that a Hag faces 4 Survivors with Flashlights. And that you basically need a Flashlight to have a chance against a Hag (and even then, Flashlights are limited) is not really the pinnacle of gamedesign.

  • And now everyone pretends again that playing Killer is super-hard and Killers only get oppressed and "bullied". Oh my...

It is since forever that queue times depend on the time of the day. For me, over the day, Killer Queues take long (starting with the longest at the start of the day, and getting faster over the day and end up on instant/under 30 seconds in the evening), while Survivor starts instant and takes longer, just to end up at around 3-4 minutes in the evening. It is basically a gradual change.

But I am EU and I dont experience Survivor Queues of more than 5 minutes most of the time and I never experienced Survivors Queues of 20 Minutes.

But in the evening, you have less players playing Killer and more players playing Survivor, and I guess, it is because of SWF. More people have time in the evening and if you want to play with friends, you play Survivor. E.g. I play Killer over the day. When my friend starts playing in the evening, I switch to Survivor.

This means: 1 less player in the Killer Pool, but two more players in the Survivor Pool. And this will happen thousands of times, causing queue times to shift over time.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2210042#Comment_2210042

But she can just as easily be beat by a 4-man SWF who plays careful and uses flashlights.

Does any Hag-player go against 4 Flashlights? I mean, the Killer sees the Survivors and if there are four Flashlights, they would dodge as Hag. UNLESS all 4 of them quickswitch (but even then, dodging is still possible, and it is rare that all 4 quickswitch) OR the Hag-player wants a Challenge and does not care about winning.

  • As someone who plays a ton of Nemesis, I dont think he needs Buffs. The only things I would change:

    • Increase the base Infection Rate for hitting Zombies/Survivors and nerf the Add Ons to compensate for it.
    • Maybe dont give a Speedboost when getting infected by a Zombie. Only talking about Zombie Infection here, simply because if the Nemesis-player does not use the tentacly on purpose to not give the Survivor a Speedboost, they should not get it by walking into a Zombie.
    • Improve Zombie-AI. Maybe not in a case that they are better at tracking, but maybe it is possible to change their AI in a way that they see Objects like Trees, Rocks and stuff like that and turn around to avoid getting stuck there.

    @DorkianBae said:

Nemesis in his current state is very much a worse Pyramid head. I'd say the only thing Nemesis has on Pyramid head is having zombies on an indoor map where they can block doors/hallways. He's not unplayably bad but he's not good either with being an M1 killer who has to hit a survivor 3 times to down with his power and then there are vaccines further making keeping people 2 hit after infection even harder.

    My proposed change:

Currently being infected does nothing but make you cough. So my change is leave infection as a 3 hit, but if you don't get a vaccine in X amount of seconds you become injured. This will add more urgency to wanting to cure yourself when you got hit by a single tentacle but aren't yet injured.

You could just make tentacle a 2 hit as a buff but if it remains a 3 hit to wound infection should do something else.

Maybe if you get all 4 survivors infected you gain a 3rd zombie?

The infection is alright. It is just not the best idea to infect people and then leave them, because you dont injure them (and it should not be a 2-hit. The Devs tried it and decided against it). Getting injured over time is not really good when you think about the fact that there are only 4 vaccines on the Map (which can even be lowered when using Add Ons). So at some point, an infected Survivor is basically not able to heal anymore, because they get injured over time anyway. And then it is questionable why even heal in the first place? This is bad for the Survivor because they get less BPs because of less Altruism and they are constantly injured. And also bad for the Killer, since healing is one thing to keep them off Gens.

Third Zombie is also not a good idea. The Zombies are pretty boring and they only exist because it is a Resident Evil-Chapter. If it would not be under this license, Nemesis would not have Zombies. And they are already annoying to face as Survivor, simply because they interrupt so many times. As Killer you might feel like the first thing they do is hugging a rock for the next minute (and they do this often enough), but getting tracked from a Zombie which is miles away to leave the Gen is also annoying.

AND a third Zombie might cause problems to performance, which is one of the reason why there are only two Zombies.

    @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

The downsides from the T-Virus are way too small. In lore, the T-Virus affects the brain and motor functions, turning them into mindless zombies. Getting infected should make doing objectives harder and slower

This is a bad idea. The Devs removed the big Slowdown from Freddy and they are not really into Killer Powers which provide Slowdown, so it is unlikely that they will ever to something like that again.

And even if you dont slow down the time to do Objectives by that much, it would still be free Slowdown. And Nemesis already gets two Zombies for free. But free Slowdown would also mean that they might look at some Slowdown-Perks like PGTW, Ruin or other Perks. Because those + Nemesis Base Slowdown might become too much.

So I would rather not have them tinker with Base Slowdown on any Killer.

This is what falls for me under FoV and animations. His behavior feels different. His Chainsaw-Hitbox is massive, which sucks as Survivor AND as Billy, because you get questionable hits on one side and keep bouncing into things on the other side.

If you barely get overheated, then why is it even there?

I guess, because they want his power to be punishing. Facing a good Hillbilly was always nice. Facing a bad one pretty lame, since they would go for Chainsaws all the time, failing miserable and only hit when they basically get lucky.

But as I said in another post, if they would remove Overheat, the numbers would not really increase. Some dropped him because they never played without Instasaw or Engravings/Tuning Guide. And most probably dropped him because of his awful feeling when playing him.
